I cannot recommend enough Magic Carpet Travel for their professional service, excellent communication, and well-organized and well-priced tours. I have no hesitation in working with them again. My main point of contact was the Tourism Manager Ms. Shaimaa M. Hassan, who did a fabulous job coordinating all the tours. Her prompt and timely communication via email and text, and ability to accommodate and execute last-minute requests with enthusiasm and alacrity were truly outstanding. When we had to cancel and reschedule certain tours last minute, Ms. Shaimaa arranged new tours overnight with admirable professionalism. Working with her was a true pleasure! Mr. Nabil, who was our tour guide in Cairo, and who was the tour guide with whom we spent the most time, was knowledgeable, accommodating, fun to hang out with, able to explain things very well, and was willing to help us with anything we needed. We did not feel rushed at any point, and we learned a lot from him. Mr. Nabil gave us ample time to see everything and more, take photographs, absorb the sites at our own pace, and organize the tours based on what we wanted to see. He is a tour guide that we highly recommend! All the tour guides and drivers we worked with arrived on time (in fact, they came early and waited for us), and were very professional. Mr. Mohamed made the payment process a breeze and made sure it was efficiently done by waiting for us downstairs with everything ready to go. All the staff we met at Magic Carpet Travel did an excellent job, and it is a travel agency I highly recommend when booking tours anywhere in Egypt. They also run a restaurant in Luxor called the Al-Sahaby Lane Restaurant, which is in the same building as their office. The food is great, the ambience cozy, and the view of the Nile excellent, specially at sunset. If you sit near the edge, you also get a view of the busy street below with all the calèches vying for customers. Overall, we had a great time! I have had the most wonderful experience with Magic Carpet. Mr Emad is a great professional and so is the guide of my tour today, Mansur. They are punctual, kind, honest, and very helpful. Their pickup service is just perfect as well as the other services they offer. They do their best to provide their clients with whatever they need. My friends and I did a Cairo tour with Mohamed (Mo) where we visited the pyramids, saqqar, and the Egyptian museum. Let me start by saying WOW. Egypt is beautiful but the cherry on top was being able to learn about the history of the place. This was all thanks to Mo. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all the questions I had and I had A LOT. He was able to show us unique antiques and features that we would not know about without him. Not to mention, he was very friendly and easy to get along with. He definitely made our Cairo trip a lot better than it was! Since my friends and I are all in our mid twenties, it was nice to have a younger tour guide who you can relate to and make jokes with. I learned a lot from Mo and even though it was hot (42C) he kept a very positive attitude the whole time. I usually don’t like doing tours since I always feel rushed but this was at the perfect pace. If you want to have a good time in Cairo and learn from the beautiful history of Egypt then I highly recommend this tour especially with Mo!

We had a great experience with Magic Carpet travel, they provided a 3 and a half day tour for us with everything planned out to our liking full adjustable. The tour guide was knowledgeable and she even spoke Spanish which was our preferred language. I have to note that these are honest very hospitable people, we dropped a silver bracelet in the van and they found it and gave it back to us. I would recommend this company without a doubt. An unrelated tip for anyone going to Luxor, get Egyptian pounds as we had an issue where we tried to pay with card at Nefertari's tomb and they declined our cards and still charged us 320 euros. At the time we thought the transaction had been declined and we paid the same amount in cash at a horrible exchange rate of course . This has nothing to do with Magic Carpet as they warned us it was better to pay with Egyptian pounds.

Aladdin, the head of Magic Carpet in Cairo, arranged a 4-day trip for us, starting from Cairo to Aswan, Luxor, and ending in Hurghada. He organized everything in just one hour in the midnight. He pay attention to every detail, and was very supportive and friendly throughout the process. Meeting him during our Egypt trip was our first luck. Our tour guide for the 4 days was Hesham, who has deep knowledge of ancient Egyptian history. He is highly professional and his passion for his work is evident in his eyes. Moreover, he is the most polite man we meet in Egypt, making Hesham our second luck. Finally, our car was very comfortable, and we had the flexibility to make minor changes to our program. Our driver, Ahmed Samara, was always on time and very friendly. I highly recommend Magic Carpet for those searching for an Egypt trip. Thanks for every detail :)

I travelled with my husband and my 20 months old kid during two weeks. The agency arranged the daily tours, providing us with a guide and a driver. In Cairo, we have been guided by Ines, a very nice, friendly and knowledgeable guide. She walked us through the marvel of ancient Egypt history, religion and architecture. She also accompanied us in a tour of Islamic Cairo. In Luxor and Aswan we could enjoy the guide of Ahmed Aziz. He was very professional and did a great job in showing us the highlights of each site. All the cars were very clean and comfortable and the drivers always professional and reliable. The agency gave us also spontaneous advice, for instance advised us to take the train to Luxor from Giza Station to avoid the chaos of Cairo Central Station. I would really recommend this agency and both Ines and Ahmed for a tour of Egypt.

We had amazing 7 days in Egypt (Covered Giza, Aswan, Abu Simbel, Kom Ombo, Luxor). Thanks to Mr Mohammad and Mr. Ahmed and his team. Our tour guide Nurhann and driver Ali in Cairo were very nice and hospitable. Nur is an amazing person, took care of our comfort, ensured we visited every place and very friendly. Dwa in Aswan was good too. Abu Simbel could have been better. The Nile river cruise was definetely one of the biggest highlights. Our last 2 days in Luxor with our guide Mrs Ghada were awesome. She is very passionate, ensures to explain every detail, know where to get the best views and best pics. Hot air balloon was well organized, we had good fun. Met Mr Ahmed on final day in Luxor, such a nice person. Overall, the experience with the company made us fall in love with Egypt and Egyptian people.

During our journey with Magic Carpet I unfortunately lost my passport. This experience left no doubt in my mind of the value of service Magic Carpet provided. Escorting me to Passport Office in Cairo acting as translator, safety officer and moral companion exemplified their commitment to service above and beyond. The use of their hotel in downtown Cairo during this period of anxiousness added immeasurably to our well being . We cant thank Mo of Magic Carpet and his staff for the help afforded us. It was through their efforts that my passport issue got resolved in two days opposed to weeks or months. I travelled to Luxor as a solo female traveller and booked a 3-day tour to see the major sights in the area with Magic Carpet Travels. My guide, Amr, was a wonderful guide who managed to make the history and story of the pharaohs come alive, going above and beyond to answer every question I might have. He also helped me manage local customs and expectations, and I felt extremely safe and secure while we travelled together. The tour was also very well organised, with professional and timely communication from Hazem, who helped me sort out all logistics and issues I might have. The overall enthusiasm and positivity of the team was wonderful, and I can only warmly recommend them to everyone travelling to Egypt.

Excellent tour with Rabi to the tombs of the Valley of the Kings, as well as Hatshepsut’s temple. Rabi is very knowledgeable about all things ancient Egypt (he has a masters degree in it) and was born in Luxor. He explained everything to us very clearly (clearly enough for our 9 year old to understand) and answered all our questions. He even let us quiz him about ancient Egypt on the way home (just to make sure his degree was worthwhile!). He was also very good at tailoring the tour to take into account that we had a child with us (toilet breaks, etc). Overall, I’d highly recommend Rabi. (And Mohamed, our driver, was great too, and ensured our bags were well looked after in the car while we saw the sights).

The Nefertiti team is amazing and work hard to ensure their guests have a good time in Luxor. The team (and specially Emad) are friendly/ approachable and very helpful at ensuring you enjoy Luxor. We purchased two different tours with this tour operator - one day, it was the pyramids of Giza and another day - Cairo and the Egyptian Museum. Our guide both days was Theresa. The guide and the drivers were punctual and caring about our needs. Theresa shared a lot of information about the cites we visited and was patient with our kids. As a bonus, Theresa is a good photographer and took multiple photos of our family. All in all, it’s a great and reasonably priced option for those wanting to explore Cairo and its surroundings. Given the chaotic driving in Cairo, I highly recommend using Magic Carpet’s services to get the best out of your trip to this country!

Our guide Hassan Abdel Baset was amazing! He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and patient with our questions. He also has a great sense of humor. We learned so much from him and enjoyed every moment of our visit to Egypt thanks to him. Our driver Mahmoud Abou Treyka helped to make our experience very easy and enjoyable as well. He was a very courteous driver and the vehicle was always very clean and smelled so wonderful! There were always cold waters waiting for us in the cooler and the air conditioner was heaven after a hot day of touring. Hassan and Mahmoud are a great duo to have with you if you are visiting Egypt.

My wife and I did two private extended half-day tours with guide Raina and driver Ahmed Rombu. Car was one of the most comfortable of our trip, and both were very accommodating of my wife’s condition. We did Medinat Habu, Deir al Medina, Nobles Tombs and Howard Carter house on day 1, and saved Hatshepsut and KV for day 2, which worked perfectly and built up to KV well. Raina was very informative, flexible and knew her stuff. Easy to book via email, Shaimaa the agent answered all of my questions, and offered very reasonable pricing for private tours. Would not hesitate to book again in any future trip to Luxor!

This was one of our best organised tours ever so far in q foreign land. We travelled as a group of 7 family and frienda to the pharaoh land of Egypt. It was 13 day trip with Nile Cruise includes. They organised a 10 day Egypt tour for us extremely knowledgeable and helpful guides all throughout. Ahmed our guide at Cairo always made sure we had the tour at our own pace and also arranged special veg food for us as we had a few vegetarians among us. They were very flexible and accommodated a lot of our last minute requests and tweaked plans to make sure we had the best travel. We even had an emergency once and had to visit local hospitals and the guide Hany stayed with us till 3:30 am in the morning until everything was fine. One of the finest operators I have traveled with.

We used magic carpet to organise our tour to the pyramids of giza. And wow.. what a lovely experience. Our guide, Mohammad (Mo), was well-spoken in english and very informative. He walked us through the history of the pyramids..and their wonder mystery. The added benefit was having an AC van drive us between the pyramids.. the heat was unbearable in August.. and with kids, we wouldn't have made it past the first pyramid if we had decided to tour it alone. Mo went the extra mile to help us watch our toddler while we entered the pyramids. Highly recommend magic carpet.

recently i did a family trip to egypt, though the hotel in Luxor we arrange a pick up shuttle from the airport to the hotel. was a magic carpet shuttle since then we took a tour in Luxor with them and then arrange two days tour in cairo. our both guides Rabi and Nabil were really helpful and give us a really nice experience in the entire tour as well the drivers Mohamed and Asmail were really polite and drive us without any inconvenience during our visit! definitely I highly recommend Magic Carpet as a reliable, secure and efficient company tour in egypt.

We had a very nice experience! The guide was a walking encyclopaedia. She had an impressive knowledge about the history of Egypt. We could ask her everything! The tour was a bit of everything. We could visit the big temples, make our own perfume, buy souvenirs of a local craft-man that handled in Alabaster and did a boot tour on the Nile by sunset. To end this magical day we had a tea at the Oum Kalsoum café! We really enjoyed our tour day with Magic Carpet. They really made sure we could do and see everything we wanted and gave us the best time!

She was very fluent in English, gave us a lot of information about ancient Egypt, pyramids and religion in Egypt, took us extra to an authentic egyptian perfume shop. We had a tour to Luxor's West Bank, including the valley of the kings, Hatshepsut's memorial temple and the colossus of Memnos. We have been moving around in an air conditioned car from place to place while we were explained the history of Luxor. Mohamed, our very professional and friendly guide, gave us very precious tips and explanations on what to see and how to "survive" all the turists traps on our way :). We are a peruvian couple. We visited Cairo with Nurin and it was great. We went to the Giza Pyramids, the citadel, the Hanging Church and the Egyptian museum. For a 1 day tour of Cairo. The combination was perfect seeing monuments from ancient Egyptians, muslims and christians. As a guide Nurin was very good: knowledgeable, efficient, street-smart and very cool to be with. All in all, the one day tour in Cairo was great

My friends and I spent 4 days with our guide Mohamad Solimon and our driver Mamduh. We had the absolute best time. Mohamad is very knowledgeable and has seen these sites for over 21 years. Our driver Mamduh drove very safety but swiftly, and he always arrived on time (even on days when we left very early). We learned a ton, and I would absolutely recommend anyone who has time in Luxor to go spend a few days with them.

We booked a pyramid private tour for 2, it was amazing, Theresa our guide was very kind, she gave us a lot of her knowledge, answered to all of our questions and even took great photos, always waiting for us, no rush on the tour, it was great! I highly recommend this company, they took us on a private AC car, moved us inside the complex, great drive (not so common in cairo LOL).

Enjoyed our 2 days sightseeing with Mahmoud and our excellent driver. They contacted us before our arrival so we felt very much welcomed knowing that we would meet with them. They were on time each day, very attentive to our needs and Mahmouds explanations were interesting and entertaining. 'Meya meya' we had a lovely time and enjoyed our visits thanks to them.

We had a 5 days tour of Luxor and Aswan, our guide was Hassan Abdel, he came across very knowledge and passionate. He tried to accommodate our requirements as much as possible during Ramadan period. However I am very disappointed with the magic carpet and how they managed our trip. Will not recommend it nor use it in the future.
