Extremely Disappointing Experience at Manhattn Mini Storage I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting Stirage, and I must say it was nothing short of disappointing. From the moment I walked in, I was met with a complete lack of professionalism and courtesy. The staff seemed disinterested in helping and were shockingly impolite. Not only did I receive incorrect information about the storage options available, but the individual assisting me was also incredibly rude. It's disheartening to encounter such poor customer service, especially when seeking assistance for something as important as storage. Thankfully, I decided to give them a second chance by calling their customer service line. To my surprise, I received accurate information and a level of courtesy that was worlds apart from my in-person experience. It begs the question of why such a stark contrast exists between their in-person and phone customer service. In the end, it's evident that Stirage needs to seriously reevaluate their on-site staff training and overall customer service approach. No one should have to endure such a negative encounter when seeking assistance or services. I hope my review serves as a cautionary tale for potential customers and prompts the necessary improvements from Storage

I live half of block from storage, I was moving stuff back and forth from my apt to the unit, in between each ride I was closing my unit that only take me 15 min go and back to my apt. in my past ride I leave my bike in front on my unit door, outside my unit. My bike disappear when I returned. I went to the office but the stuff mentioned to me in other opportunities that the office is open only until 8 pm after that time I have to go back at the next day, even if they are sitting on the desk the office is closed for clients. So I couldn't ask anything, but I called the main number (general) and they put a note on my unit... this situation happened before and they save me my stuff and get it back at the next day. I have been client for almost 3 years, I look for the porter to ask him and nothing days after I contact same stuff that was that night, and he told me that he throw out my bike the same day that I was moving things because nobody can leave anything in the hallway... how can I move my stuff if I can not use the hallway or my moving in/out. I'm waiting for the storage authorities to hear an answer.

The nonprofit that I work with has been storing our supplies in the Manhattan Mini Storage at 543 West 43rd in Manhattan for many, many years. The location is bright, clean, and temperature controlled. A few years ago, they underwent an expansion and modernization of parts of the property, and there is a nice variety of storage unit sizes and locations. There are also a few parking spots in a loading bay, which is so convenient. The staff are always friendly and helpful. On the few occasions that I’ve needed something, I have always felt like the staff were happy to accommodate. To this point, I received excellent support from staff member Lawrence Turk yesterday while arranging to switch to a larger storage unit for our nonprofit. The paperwork was handled smoothly and efficiently, and Lawrence made sure my coworker and I had all the info and everything we needed to complete our relocation. All my questions were answered, and Lawrence was very friendly during my various stops downstairs by the office during the move. Consider this location the next time you’re looking for somewhere to store your things.

We are using the Manhattan mini storage like for over a decade, different locations, 1 at the time, the smallest unit that they have. But for the last 2 years, we tried this location out of having no other options but this one. Well, we did the right choice choosing this location and we are extremely pleased with everything. They have always a promotions going on for the new units. They have all possible supplies for moving if you missed something. Super Friendly and understanding personal (only if you are really explain them your situation). Responsive customer support. From just having 1 medium size unit 2 years ago which can fit like a studio/1 bedroom apartment, NOW, we have 3 big sized units big enough to fit the furniture for up to 3 bedrooms apartment and even have some room for a little extra ( only if you are good in playing a TETRIS GAME). In over 2 years we never had such problems like we did with other locations : mice damaging the stuff or even cockroaches because it is the major issue at many other locations that we tried over last 12 years and just in general in NYC . Just great

I have been Manhattan Mini storage customer for 3 years. New management are doing awful changes that made me close my two units. First they took the parking spot , my driver cant never find a parking and often needs to park on the sidewalk. Second, They increase the price to double, my unit cost was $225 and last statement was $490 when I called to ask about the change they said price can increase without warning, I asked if its legal to do it and they said its in my contract. My second unit was increase from $190 to $320 insane, I closed two units and filed a complain with BBB. I live a block away there are many new other storage with better prices, its so sad they lost a value customer. When I closed my units I saw that more then half of my units floor was empty. I give them a year before they go out of business. BTW the only good thing about this location are the workers. SHAME on you greedy. I just saw the company resond, "minimal adjustments"? Is that a joke, 60% increase? in what world are you living at? from $220 to $490?

This is what happens when a perfectly well run company becomes greedy and decides to stretch every last square foot of space for a dollar. Two weeks ago this new management decided to remove the equivalent of 5 parking spaces from their loading dock (the absolute best perk of this storage unit) and instead replace them with 8-9 new storage units that are now located literally outside on the ground. Now lines of cars are parked all over the road causing an increase in traffic and congestion because there’s nowhere to park inside Maybe instead of removing 5 vital parking spaces for 9 new units you can focus on filling the 53 empty units on the 5th floor alone. Get rid of these units or there will be consequences- whether it’s accidents outside of the building and an increased liability, or really frusturated customers that want to find somewhere else to go with better parking spaces, this cant stand for long

I've received multiple fraudulent emails from emails claiming to be Manhattan Mini Storage management. It's impossible to find the accurate email address since it's not listed online. Previous manager emails are now forward to fraudulent email addresses that respond back. I was also notified twice that my storage unit lock was broken twice within the last year since there were lock fees on my account. They also changed their access system from key card to number code, so anyone with the code can enter. Since I was victim of identity theft of my personal identity documents, it's likely other people impersonated me to break the lock on my unit. I originally stored my belongings there away from abusive family in another state, and individuals were even able to add their card to my account to pay my unit on my behalf without notifying me.

I have been using Manhattan Mini Storage on 43rd street for many years and they are clean, well lit, with good climate control and reliable. My only complaint would be their ever increasing rates. Their biggest plus is their customer service at the 43rd street location namely LAWRENCE who is always kind, friendly and very patient! As I said, I have been storing here for too many years and Lawrence has always taken the time to go above an beyond the normal Manhattan Mini storage call of duty. Got too much trash in your apartment? You tired of being treated like trash all around Manhattan and you want to be treated like a decent human customer for once? Well look no further than 43rd street Manhattan Mini Storage and ask for Lawrence! But actually don't because it will inevitably cause my rates to increase.

stuff is friendly but customer service and overall experience is terrible. I moved in in feb 2023. was paying $112 per month. in july monthly payment got increased to $220. the only explanation I got was that market price has changed. decided to downgrade to smaller unit. came in, talked to a manager, got shown new unit, got $85 quote. was told that I have two days to move my stuff to hold the new unit. came in on the reserve day. the staff didnt know anything about my move, they didnt find any notes. and gave me $97 + insurance quote for the same unit its just too much. decided to move to a Gotham storage, they offer better prices and a free van to move your stuff.

Unfortunately, manhattan mini storage is charging for units they cannot provide. The system upsold me on a unit near the door with vehicles access- I paid $36 / month extra for this service. No such service exists. There are no easily accessible units, and no parking at all was available. I spent 2 weeks trying to get my price adjusted to no avail. I cannot recommend New Yorkers spend money on this service. Find another storage company who charges for what they offer- fairness. The men who work there suggested I write a review- they said the corporate office will not listen to them. They keep selling units that don’t exist. I can confirm this is true.

we rented a storage to store our luggage during our stay in canada. we were there BEFORE 7.a.m. - it still had not opened at 7:20 am!!! tried to contact somebody, but there was no one to reach. we had to take the heavy lugagge with us as we were in a hurry to catch the bus. the website does not say there would be different opening hours on columbus day...paid a lot plus lots of stress for nothing!! :( Edited Dec. 2019: they refunded the full amount I paid including the uber we had to take to not be running late. So, besides the incident mentioned above, they are really trying to give you a good service anywhere they can!

Excellent customer service from Reggie and Arsenio. I had visited my unit and I broke a lamp and glass was all over the floor. Reggie was so kind to remove all the glass. I offered to help sweep the floor and he said no I don’t want you to cut yourself. He also noticed I had a lot of plastic tubs and he offered and I accepted a large cart. I didn’t have my ID with me but he said it was not a problem, I said I live 1 block away and I will return in about 10 minuets. Arsenio also gave 100% customer service. He was professional and kind. Both Reggie and Arsenio deserve KUDOS from the company. Thank YOU BOTH!!!!!!

Lawrence was absolutely awesome! He was extremely patient when I came with tons of stuff to put in storage. I didn’t have enough space for all my stuff, so Lawrence with his professional experience and expertise went online and helped me find storages at the best prices, I got 2! and yes I do understand it’s his job. But he was extremely patient, never once delayed with helping me and he even walked me to see different storages to choose from. I would 100 percent recommend Lawrence as a go to person if anyone wants to sign a storage agreement at Manhattan Mini Storage! Great person to deal with!

He fully explained the procedure, provided all essential options for me to select from and went out of his way to provide me with contact information. He even informed me of a looming change in front desk operating hours come 10/1 so that I can properly adjust my next visits as appropriate. Excellent service, and an easy process.

Getting a storage unit here was the easiest part of my moving process. Within 15 minutes, we were given access to the unit. Other storage companies make you pay for a minimum number of months, but Manhattan mini storage does not. Staff was amazingly helpful and kind, and I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for storage options in the city!

When I came to New York I needed a place to store a few things for about 3 weeks. I stumbled across. Manhattan Mini Storage. The cost of the locker was reasonable. The staff we're very friendly and helpful as well. If you had any questions they would help you. The facilities was clean. Security I never thought about it. The place same to be very secured.

Have been storing here over a year. The staff is great. Recently I moved into a bigger unit and accidentally double booked online. When I called in to cancel one of them, the staff actually suggest I come and see the two units before cancelling one. And once I arrived they took the time to show me the available units. All in all a great experience.

Arsenio was a tremendous help today moving us into a unit that would accommodate our daughters stuff. We had previously rented a unit that was not quite big enough, he was patient and absolutely had the best customer service! Reggie had the place spotless and informed us someone would be right with us when we walked in. Will definitely use again!

Manhattan mini storage made it very easy to find a unit last minute and for a great price. They gave me the first month 75% off and it only took $38 to move in. I would highly recommend them over the competition in the surrounding areas. They have multiple locations with various size units, making it very accessible, just about any where you are.

555 W. 43rd St. is not the address the address needs to be transparency. The address has come up as 571 11th Ave. the address is 560 W. 44th St. is actually between 11th and 12th Ave. the building has manipulated the mapping system where the building actually is is not the correct address and I have plenty of pictures and documents to back it up

The place was clean, straight-to-the-point, and its staff were kind and friendly and looking to help as quickly as they can. Their business is no-nonsense, and they tell you the price upfront. I was helped by one of the members, Cloyde, and it was a pleasure to do service with them. I feel very comfortable going back to them for their services.

He was kind and understanding and really understood how difficult life can be when going through moving and having personal items that are sentimental that you don’t know what to do with. They raise the rent without notice and I just transferred to a unit so I could pay less and paid the rent for the whole month of September and they sent me an email stating that I have an overdue balance. I'm moving out.
