Wish I could leave negative stars. If you are planing to use Public Storage- stay away from this place. I have few different storages in NY - no issues, this place gave me nightmares. They had glitch in the system- so for the past 3 months I have been receiving calls, messages emails that my payment is pass due, they send me two refund checks for $15 that makes no sense, added extra unit to my account ( I own just one small unit) - that was $28 dollars of past due - kept on calling me daily to pay. I went in person five times and talked to the management - they assure me not to worry, my account is fine and it was their error. When I tried to access my unit - I count not - they blocked my access. Takes to the management and they let me in saying I have nothing to worry about- they will fix it. 3 months after - I still get calls from Public Storage asking to pay bill - and now I have debt collector calling me for $28 filed from Public Storage. I have never had past due bill in my life, I have perfect credit score I worked my whole life for and now thanks to this place - It’s ruined. I have to keep on calling and fixing this but if you have not get unit here - save yourself and go somewhere else.

Gary the manager is phenomenal! He went out of his way to insure I got the best deal for my space and it’s been amazing service since. Plus great and super affordable insurance policy. It’s security system is set up for those of us who travel a lot to still do everything electronically with billing or renewing your month to month plan (seriously everything you can do online while abroad) Marielle the property manager and Deja the relief manager are 2 angels (very VERY patient with me and accommodating within the rules, which are pretty straight forward as for any other storage unit.) It’s SUPER CLEAN, and constantly disinfected!!! :) I’m so happy. For the area it’s a wonderful hub for me in between heading to Fidi then back to midtown for work. Only downside is I can’t wait until Covid ends and they are back to regular hours of operation

I rented a unit here to store some of my furniture and I get why the reviews are so good - the staff here is excellent. This was my first time getting storage space so I didn't really know what I was doing. Gary at the front desk helped me out and was super thorough and patient getting me set up. He was transparent about the cost and the fees they charge and walked me through all the paperwork so I knew what I was signing. Location is clean and felt secure. Access to the units closes at 6.00PM most nights which seems early but at least they're up front about it. You'll be required to buy a special lock from them and have insurance on your unit - check if your renter's / homeowner's insurance will cover your stuff so you don't have to pay extra. I would recommend.

When I first got situated with my storage unit, Kachelle was my first point of contact. She went above & beyond to help me get settled in my space, giving me thorough instructions, & an overview of the layout of the building, while expressing so much positivity. Will, has recently helped me understand Public Storages rental agreement & an in-depth comprehension of my invoices. He has been nothing but spectacular and just a great guy overall. These two are both very knowledgable in their companies SOP, & their customer service is second to none. Love the team here, never had any trouble with them. They are making my transition moving from place to place in NY, seamless. 6-stars if it was possible.

Gary/everyone were AMAZING (I cannot remember the lady's name who was nice enough to walk me through the online reservation process, etc - she was really helpful) at Public Storage on Mott St. The website/reservation process was great and they made it easy to adjust on their end when I realized I needed a slightly bigger unit. The people at Mott St office were amazing and helpful - and patient. And, the online process was easy/fast. Equally important - the facility is CLEAN and nice and cool. I feel totally safe leaving my items in that facility for a few months before I move back to town. Secure and safe - but also easy to access for myself. STRONGLY recommend!!

The facilities are pretty clean and well kept. Be careful if you rent multiple units that you do them at the same time. We rented one unit online and ended up needing extra storage so we got an additional one once we arrived to Public Storage but there were issues with adding the extra unit to our account. Ended up getting charged a late fee because we couldn’t see the other unit on our account. Also shoutout to Kachelle who works the front desk! I had some questions with two storage units I had and she was able to answer all my questions and even stayed a bit past closing to help me! Somebody get her a promotion!

As a long-time customer of this storage facility, I must say that my experience has been nothing short of fantastic. The staff, especially DJ, has consistently provided exceptional service throughout the years. Their dedication and attentiveness have made my storage journey smooth and hassle-free. The facility's top-notch maintenance and security have further solidified my trust in them. They recently upgraded the security system. I highly recommend this place to anyone in need of storage solutions, and I'm grateful for DJ and the team's continued outstanding support!

I called to inquire about a unit , Djhierry was patient and kind, I like to ask questions and he answered them all , explained everything simply, informed me about the e rental process which I didn’t know public storage offered, as well as suggested merchandise to make my move easier. He said I could visit the location before I make a decision , which I did , he was just as helpful in person , gave me a tour and explained the process in detail . The location was clean and brightly lit no weird smells or dark corners. I would feel comfortable leaving my stuff there.

Customer service here has improved in the past 9 or so months I would say. In the past, the company was always still reliable and I never doubted the security or anything, but I had a few experiences where the people at the desk seemed confused and I often spent longer there than I need to. This time, I was helped very quickly by Jada, who answered all of my questions and completed all of my requests without pause. Not sure if it is just because the location was new at the time of my first experience, but the customer service now is great.

As a previous customer executive I can say one thing is for certain: DJ is literally the best rep ever. He’s dependable and is exactly what this location has needed for the last few years. I have seen rep after rep leave this location and more often than not, they have no been customer service oriented. Not all, but many. DJ - should be a prime example of how all future employees of Public Storage should next In fact, I’d highly recommend leveraging this talent as a trainer for new hires. Thank you DJ for all that you do!

I just set up my storage space with Public Storage on Mott street and could not have had a better customer service experience. Gary, the manager, is extremely helpful, transparent and kind. He made sure that I knew all details before confirming my reservation and that I was all set, even though I am setting this up from another state. I really appreciate him making this experience a stress-free one with everything going on. I look forward to moving in to my space and leaving another 5 star review after that experience!

Let me start by saying the facility and the people that work there are great. I have no issue with either. My issue is they are consistently changing their hours and closing earlier on weekends. Commercial businesses have storage here. We are all trying to get back on our feet and losing access on weekends is kicking businesses while they are already down and struggling to survive. This is the second time they have cut back hours and they should really consider the businesses they serve before doing this.

Great place, Great service. Everton is awesome if I could give me 10 stars on here I would! He’s been so professional made sure to help me every step of the way, answering and clearing all my of questions and concerns. Great effective suggestions in organizing my storage space and finding what was best and affordable for my business, it’s been a major help to have this extra space for my showroom near by, I’m so pleased I couldn’t help but refer my business partners to this Amazing space!

Elise and Anderson were absolutely amazing both of them were very friendly and kind. They were highly professional and extremely accommodating. I had a difficult situation and they efficiently took care of all my needs. The storage facility as well is extremely clean and everything works perfectly. This storage unit is in a great location and very convenient to where we are moving. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. James was particularly attentive and helped us find the right storage unit for our needs and made sure we had what we needed to make the move-in as easy and smooth as possible. We could not have been happier with our experience and would recommend others to use this Public Storage location and ask for James!

I've dealt with a couple of storage facilities, but I must say Public Storage is one of the best (262 Mott Street location) in particular!! I needed my lock cut, yes lost the keys on that one .. Lol. Put in a call (to the above location), spoke to Chris .. Chris connected me to Gary .. Gary connected me to Samantha (Dist. Mangager). When I say (collectively), they got the job done .. Is a mere understatement. GREAT JOB!! TY!

Gary & Chris we’re such pleasant staff’s members. They made my nightmare situation so much more pleasant by facilitating 2 units, 1 being just $1 for the month (with tax included of course). This storage facility is super central to all the downtown area. I highly recommend and I could not be happier with my interaction with the staff members- making a tough situation seamlessly easier. What a great experience! I was greeted by Jeremy, who had been waiting "all day" for my arrival and immediately knew my name and locker number. He was both friendly and super helpful, showing me to my space and aiding me with my belongings. The storage area was clean and well-lit, and the "onboarding" process was quick and easy. Fantastic location, too!

Gary was very helpful and convenient. However, they have a small entrance, so I had an accident that my friend accidentally hit a huge Mercedes Benz with the cart. If you have big belongings, please be careful. Also, they don't have a parking lot, so you have to watch for a guard if they give ticket or not. Other than those, everything was great.

First class storage facility. We’ve used three storage facilities in the last 10 days that we’ve been here and Public storage is by far the best. Anderson’s fast and swift handling of logistics while staying as calm as a butterfly and never losing his smile, was an absolute plus. Look no further, Public Storage is the place for you.. Do it!

The service at this location is excellent. I had the pleasure of working with Gary, Margarita and Everton and all were very helpful and friendly. Their customer service is outstanding. We were also given a 1st floor unit which really helped us out. The location is clean and well lit. Happy that I chose this location for my storage needs.

Been here 3 years. Unfortunately it's time to leave due to shortening of hours, waiting on elevator all the time and rent increase. Wish they wouldn't raise rents for people that have been there as long as me. Staff is still amazing. Jeremy and the young lady always greet me with a smile for that ill leave the 5 stars.

I was serviced by a nice man that goes by the name of Angel! He was very informative and gave great advice on which storage would be the best for me based on the general amount of furniture being brought in! Was very professional, and helpful ! Service was 100% and was a great model for this public storage branch!

So I really had to think about this review. Because the staff and cleanliness of this facility makes this place an easy 5 star. But the biggest problem with this location is the hours. If they decide to change it back to pre covid hours when it was 8am to 8pm, this review would change back to a 5 star easy.

Highly recommend this place! Not only did Gary help us with all the information we needed, he made the move in seamless and easy! I've stored at other places before but none were as good as this place. The move was simple, the units are well ventilated and clean, and the building is super easy to access!

I just wanted to share how positive my experience was coming here. Gary was so helpful with setting everything up! He made sure that all of my questions were answered and that I fully understood how to access my unit. He was so kind and patient throughout the entire process! He is a star employee!

I would definitely recommend! I am moving and needed to get boxes. Deja was amazing! She took the time to fully wrap all the boxes together so I could carry them home. A dozen boxes and 8 blocks later, they didn't budge! She made it easy for me. Deja was also super friendly and great to talk to!

Everton did a great job helping us at the location. And the woman I booked with over the phone was very helpful too. Facility is clean and bright. One suggestion I would make is put up directions pointing which way for which numbered units. It's like a maze I kept having trouble finding the exit

I rented a clean 4x5 locker for safe keeping of belongings while in NYC. The management of SoHo Public Storage felt like family. The building is very secure and easily accessible for personal/private use. The price is fair and reasonable - and quotes provided are accurate without ‘hidden’ fees.

Great experience. Gary specifically is a fantastic manager. He is organized, helpful and extremely efficient which makes everything better. It can be really stressful to have a place store your precious belonging but Gary and public storage team are to be trusted. Very happy I found the space.

Gary was truly so helpful and kind to me while I was at Public Storage! The space was nice and offered good carts. The parking was admittedly challenging. If you are alone and have a lot to unload take note, another location may be best. As for customer service, this place was number 1.

(Note that the proper address is actually 262E Mott Street). The staff here are really great. I wish the elevator worked by yourself (you need a staff member to work it since it’s a cargo elevator), but the staff is great regardless and the reason for 5 stars. They deserve a raise!

Came into Mott St Public Storage to purchase some boxes because the ones I had got messed up due to the rain. Jedaiah was extremely helpful and friendly & I ended up purchasing more than I came for! The customer service was great and the boxes are good quality.

Gary was very thorough and informative. He was very accommodating to my specific needs and yeilded a seamless experience. However, other managers can be rude and walking 4 flights down in even steps with low ceilings and overhangs can prove to be dangerous.

Updated my review after management reached out (thanks S). Minus one star for the abbreviated access hours (close at 6pm, ugh) that don't seem to be reverting to pre-pandemic schedule without any adjustment to rates. Otherwise, clean, well-lit, convenient.

I had wonderful customer service from Will and Dej. They helped my partner and I and were awesome every step of the way. Will was an excellent conversationalist and Dej was extremely friendly and patient with us as we were moving items back and forth.

Anderson, Elise, and DJ were the most hospitable people I have ever met. They were very patient with me and they were understanding about my situation. If you need a place to store your things, this Public Storage should be your number one choice.

Mariel was the most helpful person I've had at any storage unit in my multiple experiences of moving. She helped work the elevator, manage movers coming in and out, and communicating with me the whole way. Can't recommend this location enough!

Changed from 5 stars to 3 stars after being here for a few months. Staff is very nice, but they are never available/at the desk. Good deal for the space and convenient if you don't mind spending ALOT of time waiting to use the elevator.

If I could give deja a 10 star I would! She quickly realized that the wrong space was booked for me, and fixed it instantly. Above and beyond, she even helped me move my couch! Awesome!! Thanks again for making my move that much easier.

Came today at 12pm.. Storage was close with no employees. They added also a new code at the entrance without noticing the customers. Arrived with many packages, couldn't enter the facilities. Nobody would replied on the phone as well.

Been using this storage since they opened a few years ago, and the service is consistently great. I end up going 1-2 times per month, sometimes more because my business has a unit there, too. D jhierry was so helpful on my last visit.
