People in the office are always rude. They lack manners and the ability to effectively communicate. They don't speak they bark at you. There is no accommodation or leniency. Once your money is collected you are treated like a vagrant that is unwanted. If they got staff that was friendly and helpful they might get better reviews.

Their website says "Tenant Insurance Available" but apparently they've changed their policy to make it required in the last two years. Just be aware, there will be a $9/month charge added to your bill, because storage companies are there to just take your money without being responsible for the items you are paying to store.

Just don't like the way they raised the rent (un)fairly immediately after they took over. I understand it might be business practices but our rents had already been raised. It was less than a yr that our rents were raised. So basically 2 rent increases in under a yr. That's crazy. Gave 2 stars cuz I kinda like the place.

On the negative side, no one was in the office the day I arrived, so I wasted a lot of time waiting for a response. My locker is also on the sixth floor and around some tight corners, so the logistics were challenging. On a positive note, the people who did finally help me were great - very courteous and professional.

This company is so easy to talk with. I was able to rent completely over the phone and filling out all of the required documents was a breeze. This was such an easy process and the woman I talked to over the phone was so sweet and genuine. I would recommend this place to anyone. Super clean, secure, and cheap.

Lynda who runs the front desk is a charming and friendly woman who took the time to show me around and work with me on my storage needs. The rates are fair and the online service option is really convenient. It's a perfect location for us too: right in the heart of Alphabet City.

Had a unit in the east village location for over 10 years, since it was Keepers, and have always been greeted by Lynda's welcoming smile and upbeat attitude. Never a problem she can't help me with. Between Lynda and the elevator guys, the service is top notch!

Incredible service and well priced units- especially for Manhattan! Lynda, Gus, Krystal, and Rachel were all extremely friendly and helpful from start to finish. If I need storage services in the future I will happily return to Keepers Self Storage.

I rented a u haul truck from here instead of going to the Uhaul center in Chelsea. It's a small business so they treat you like people. Was efficient and got better service than I would have at Uhaul. Rigth near the city bike on ave D and 9th St.

Great facility, easy access and Lynda at the front desk is awesome. The prices are reasonable too. I don't like having to use storage, but that's not their fault. They make it much easier for people who need to use it, and they remove the stress.
