When we were on the hunt to rent a temporary storage locker for our belongings, we contacted the commercial drive location( after looking at 3 different facility locations in our area ) and were invited down for a tour of the facility. We met with Bill who was very knowledgeable about the building, locker sizes, pricing, building features, rules, etc. We were very impressed that this location was the only drive- in locker facility for the lower mainland which was a huge bonus as this meant our items would stay dry when moving into the building on rainy days ( we moved our belongings in the fall- you know Vancouver weather)!! Security was also impressive with the amount of cameras, motion sensors, etc- this building is like Fort Knocks. We liked that the building was also temperature controlled. The amount of dollies that were always available to move our belongings. The polite and always willing to help staff; the list goes on and on with positivity. We highly recommend this location forever more, you won’t be dissatisfied. We feel like we are leaving a family. The staff always had goodies for our kids when we visited the office and were always treated with tons of respect. At one point we downsized our locker, and it was a quick process. Billing was always easy. And our move out was just as smooth. Like I said we are sad to go, but forever greatful for the wonderful experience with maple leaf storage and staff. This location gets 5 stars for cleanliness, customer service and security. I liked that there is a full-time live-in security guard in the building. Good access to dollies and carts to unload and move larger items. I never saw any pests, and other clients seemed professional and courteous when passing in the halls. I took off a star because their hours are very limited. They don't open until 8:30 am, and they close at 8pm sharp, and anyone still inside after that gets locked in. That only left me with 1.5 open hours a day outside of my work schedule that I could possibly plan around. Not a lot of flexibility and it caused several complications and tough compromises. But I knew their hours when signing up, so there was no surprise there. The loading bays also have parking bollards blocking access to them, which is a pretty frustrating place to have them. The bay landing is about the same height as a U-Haul deck which would be super convenient except the bollards prevent you from getting close. You've still got to use the ramp on the truck and centre it between the bollards like a bridge. Standard enough, but it just feels like a misuse of space for client convenience and ease of lifting. But I do think their other qualities make them a solid recommendation for a storage unit facility!

We have rented storage facilities before in other cities but this Maple Leaf Storage operation is the best one we have ever experienced. The place is always clean and we frequently see cleaners going around picking up while we are there. There's an impressive security system in use and we have never seen anyone suspicious on the premises. There are always carts available and we have never had to wait more than 30 seconds for an elevator. The staff is helpful, friendly, and very professional. We have changed lockers three times now as our needs have grown, and each time the staff has been very helpful: showing us potential new spaces, explaining the cost differences, and helping us make the most economical choice for our needs. The only downside to this place is that it could be a little closer to our home. ;) As storage goes, in my experience, this place is as good as it gets.

I was very pleased with the service I received from Maple Leaf Storage on Commercial Dr.. The facility was conveniently located with assorted routes from the downtown and return to the downtown. I liked the fact that this facility was open from 8:30 AM to 8 PM. This gave me lots of time to put stuff in my storage locker and to take things out of the locker. The facility was very clean and modern looking. I felt that my belongings that were stored there would remain in good condition,. Last but not least the employees very helpful and knowledgeable when I had questions or needed help. Keep up the good work. I would use your facility again and I would recommend it to other people looking for a temporary or long term storage area.

I rented a unit about six months ago, and it was a really smooth experience, from the first tour of the facility, to signing up, and then using it to store and retrieve items. The access hours are great, and you can back your vehicle right up to the loading bay. Lots of dolleys available, in two different sizes, and lots of elevators for quick access to your floor. The facility is new and ultra clean, and very well lit, and everything uses your personal access code. It makes the process of accessing your unit so quick, literally in and out in minutes. I found the staff to be super professional, always helpful and courteous. Can't recommend this location highly enough.

From the start, the Maple Leaf staff were professional, friendly and helpful, asking me questions about what I was going to store to ensure that I booked an adequate space. I also loved that they weren’t pushy about trying to get me to sign; they wanted me to think about my needs first. The couple of times I had questions, I got quick, helpful and friendly responses. The facilities are immaculate through and through, a sign that the owners and staff actually care and want to make my experience top-notch. I also appreciate how secure the entire facility is. This was the first time using any Storage Services and I was extremely pleased with the facilities and staff at Maple Leaf Self Storage. The location was easy to get to, access to my storage lockers was convenient, and I always felt secure coming in/out to get my items as I needed to. Before selecting this location, I visited a number of other competitors but none were as good as this location. The indoor covered space for loading/unloading cannot be underestimated. I would 100% use their services again in the future if I needed to and have no problems recommending it to anyone else as well.

These folks run a great business, they know what is needed and anticipate any issues so that their systems take care of it automatically. Clean and dry, secure, and accommodating. And they take the time to explain not only the 'what' but the 'why'.They will even receive some deliveries which is a major benefit. For a small business like mine, the price was affordable, especially given the extra service that came with it. I rarely give a review, but my experience was consistently above my expectations. Working with Erin and her team has been an absolute dream! Their location was recommended to us by our moving company and I was reluctant at first as we are on the north shore. Boy, am I glad that we went with them. The facility is clean, secure, and easily accessible, plus the staff have all been super helpful each and every time we have come in. I would highly recommend this location to anyone. Their rates are also cheaper than other Maple Leaf locations on the North Shore.

Very convenient, clean, well run. Always a spot at the loading bay. Have purchased packing supplies on occasion and seem to be at reasonable rates. Staff have ably assisted the few times required (consolidating lockers, changing or expired credit cards, etc.) They even contacted me one time when I had inadvertently left my locker unlocked. I'd prefer access further into the evening, but even with closing at 8:00 PM have always been able to work around.

Our experience at Maple Leaf on Commercial has been exceptional! We have rented a number of storage units over the years and none can compare to this company/location. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the facility is exceptionally clean and secure. While all the staff are amazingly awesome, we have had the most interaction with Bill and he is fabulous! Moved to Vancouver from eastern US with more stuff than we had room for. Able to line up storage at MLSSCD quickly and easily. Better rates than other facilities nearer town but not hard to get to. Building is clean and well kept -- access is easy and always as promised. Have never felt it was crowded or a hassle. Great staff were clear about arrangements and flexible to work with. Overall fully satisfied. Would recommend to anyone.

The facility is always clean and brightly lit no matter what time of the day or evening you arrive. They are always willing to help you, assist you if you have a problem with your door or lock and they are so pleasant and easy to deal with. It is a pleasure to come there and know that my belongings are well taken care of. They even telephoned me to tell me I had left my lock not fully secured. Their security is first rate.

I have used many storage facilities in the past, but Maple Leaf on Commercial is by the best service I’ve received. Moving on short notice from out of town, they were able to secure a large locker immediately for me at a great price. They are responsive - usually get an email repose within a couple of hours. For move out and closing an account, they were quick and great as well. Highly recommended!

Amazing space, I just moved to vancouver and the staff here were incredibly helpful in many ways. The facility is gorgeous, the level of security is very reassuring, the staff is so wonderful and there is free coffee and cookies in the lobby!
