We was up all night with our dog in our arms vomiting every 5 minutes due to a spinal injury. We was told when we called the 24 hour line to go to our home Medivet which was Parsons Green as they had a duty of care to help us in a emergency. We drove right after opening with our sick dog in our arms and they refused to even give us 5 minutes of their time and said they couldn’t see her any time during the day just to give her a sickness injection. We was sent to Kensington Medivet where our dog finally got a sickness injection and pain relief which brought her back to life and back to her normal self within 2 days, all it took was 5 minutes and Parsons Green literally couldn’t care less about our dog even though the place was empty, not one person was waiting. The lady at reception also had a very nasty attitude. I’d also like to add that back in 2020 our dog had a emergency c-section here as her last puppy was stuck during labour. We was so happy with the service as the puppy was saved until the next time we took our dog to a different vet for a cheaper, scheduled c-section with her second litter, we was told that during the first c-section that was done by medivet Parsons Green our dog was stitched up completely and her passage way for the puppies was completely blocked on purpose. This means if we didn’t go for the planned c-section and tried natural birth again our dog and/or her puppies would have died. We was NEVER asked or informed that they have done this and it is incredibly cruel. It’s one thing doing it without permission but another not informing us that is has been done so we are aware. Thank god that we scheduled a c-section the second time as we can’t imagine what would have happened if we didn’t because of medivet Parsons Green. It’s disgusting and people should avoid this place for c-section which costs nearly £2k for the c-section here your better off finding somewhere else where they will care about your pet and will not do things behind your back that could in the future kill your pet. We will never bother coming back here again. They make you feel as if you have to beg for their service when you pay hundreds for it.
after a year of being with this vet, it was shocking to discover that loyalty counts for nothing at the end of the day it is a business and not a caring and trustworthy enterprise. More specifically I discovered that you cannot rely on the communication you are given. Have paid for a for my cat for which I was given incomplete information, I was taken aback to discover that the vaccination expired without me being informed. As a result when I followed up for my cats subsequent vaccine I was then informed that I have to begin the vaccine treatment again and pay the full amount . Why was I not given this information earlier? The call I received was not only unhelpful but rude. If I cannot trust that my vet is giving me the full information regarding my family member's care, how do I know that he is getting the best care. If you go to this vet, get every detail in writing. Otherwise pay through your nose only to pay again. Sept 22, 2016 Apropo my review above the owner made a remarkable effort to contact me and correct all that had happened offering a legitimate explanation. As a result of the inconvenience my cat received the vaccine required as per our agreement. I was very pleased with both the apology and the service provided which was a clear effort to compensate for any inconvenience. The vet that saw my cat at the practice was very helpful and informative and treated my cat as her own. Thanks for this experience based on which I would change my review to 3 stars.
We love our vet at Medivet. It is always a great vibe when we go there. We got our puppy Oscal and were looking for a good vet around our area. My partner called quite a few vet places to see if we can register our puppy for check ups, but Medivet was the only one that actually were super friendly, informative and professional over the phone. We knew it instantly, we want our puppy to be registered at Medivet only. Staff are super friendly as mentioned above, extreamly professional and knowledgeable, which made us feel very confident and comfortable trusting that our puppy Oscar is in a very good hands. Staff is fun to have a chat, not only about puppy but in general as well, which makes staff relatable and have a good connection with. We usually see Miss Sandra M. (VET) She is absolutely amazing!!!! So easy to talk to, very good listener and an amazing person and VET!!! We would like to say thank you Sandra for looking after our Oscar from a bottom of our hearts. We needed injection and passport for travelling in a future and Sandra, without even us asking, said : sure I'll sort it all out, injection this date, ill start passport paperwork and etc. so all be done by this date and you good to go. I'll email other information ( we had few more questions about neutering our puppy), so you have all the relevant information in advance. Can you ask for more? Honestly fantastic. Definitely, 100%, we recommend Medivet !!!!
We moved to London from Philadelphia in mid-June. Unfortunately by early July, one of our labs needed surgery and I hadn't even finished unpacking much less found a vet! I solicited recommendations from folks at the dog parks, and landed on Molly and Max due to proximity. Spencer and I walked in on a busy Monday morning (without an appointment) and Hannah at the Reception Desk greeted us with a friendly & welcoming smile. The team was very professional and by some miracle I was able to procure a "same-day" (afternoon) appointment with Dr. Clare Lambourne. I was instantly impressed with her compassion and expertise. Dr. Clare was thorough during Spencer's evaluation. She likely prefers a more conservative surgical approach, but agreed that Spencer needed surgery and she scheduled him at her earliest opening which was very reasonable. Dr. Clare did an amazing job and Spencer's recovering like a champ! Her follow-up and post-op care have been excellent. I honestly feel like the whole office loves my dog as much as we do! And really - isn't that what it's all about? They give "good vibes" and although I hear they may be "more expensive" than other practices, I can't put a price tag on the health and well being of my fur family! I can't thank Molly and Max and Dr. Lambourne enough for all their help!
We found a worrying lump on our Yorkie, Dolly. Gabi, our vet took a sample of the lump, which unfortunately turned out to be a mast cell tumour (cancer). Gabi arranged for Dolly to have a CT scan to verify the location and the size of the mass. This was such a worrying time for our family, not knowing how unwell our little girl was. As soon as the results were back, Gabi was able to schedule a surgery date quickly in order to get the mass removed. Gabi discussed the complexity of the operation, including how painful this would be for her, but also explained the importance of getting it removed in order for her to have a good life and prognosis. Gabi and his INCREDIBLE team were able to remove the mass and we are so surprised with the progress Dolly has made since then. Gabi is super professional, straight to the point and a highly skilled Dr. I cannot sing his praises enough, rest assured Gabi will do everything in his power to do the upmost best for your pet. The nurses and receptionist Lynn are so lovely and down to earth. All of the staff treated Dolly with so much compassion and love. We will be forever in debt to those at Medivet Parsons Green. Thank you so very much for helping our Dolly. Anne and Vanessa
On 20.11.2021 in the morning I called the vet because one of my cats was injured with a wound on his back. The receptionist said that she cannot squeeze me in for an appointment with vet to check the cat and said that i have to go to Kensington pet hospital. I said that i have a newborn baby and cannot travel with baby and cat to take him there and asked if it is possible to buy some disinfective medicine that can be purchased without prescription to disinfect the wound of the cat and receptionist said no, that the cat needs to be checked by the vet, but she cannot give me appointment and i have to go to kensington. not the best solution she offered and she clearly does not care about an injured cat. and when i asked if the vet can call back at least since he cannot see my cat she said she cannot guarantee as he is busy, i asked if she could ask the vet quickly if he can sell the medicine to disinfect the wound since my cat will not be seen by anyone and she said he is busy with customer. i asked if he can call me back and she said yes and hanged up on me without even taking my contact details. unacceptable, people who work with pets should have a bit of sympathy to pets as well.
I took my 10 year old Pug mix in for a normal health certificate to have him flown abroad. We spent about 20 minutes there while he was checked out from nose to tail. I was told that his teeth needed to be addressed, and that his snorting should stop when the weather warms up. The vet made a big point to say how thorough he had to be for this sort of paperwork, and that his experience in New Zealand meant he was highly skilled. Three weeks later my dog arrives in the States and is taken to another vet for an import examination. During the examination they easily find a big white tumor in his throat. I have no idea what to look for, but when they showed me it was clearly visible. Turns out my dog has well developed cancer. I had to spend a huge amount of effort, emotions, and money to send a dog across the Atlantic. In the end I had to make an even harder choice, instead of saving myself the effort and enjoying the time i had left with my dog. I can not believe that the vet at Molly and Max did not notice such a prominent cancer tumor. If they had actually done their job, rather than entertain me with stories, I would now still have my dog.
ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THE MONEY........ Went today after our puppy spaniel contracted kennel cough. Charged £69.00 for a 5 minute appointment only to b told 'yes he does have it but doesn't need antibiotics'. We asked whether we should help him with any natural remedies or even honey to help sooth his throat? Was met with the response of 'well.... it will only go down the wrong way, but hey go for it' in the most dismissive manner (almost like the vet didn't even care one way or the other). When the vet found out our dog had indeed had the kennel cough vaccine already (we went there two weeks ago for it along with his second jab, paying £160 for it) he made a snarky comment of 'well that's a different story isn't it' as he believed we were booked it to get another vaccine, hence our reason for being there. Surely they would have records??? They obviously just wanted to make a quick buck yet again. To top it all off the assistant at the front desk had the worst attitude problem when it came to questioning our dates for his third vaccine. Needless to say we wont be getting it there.
I feel very disappointed after my experience this morning, which is such a shame as I had high hopes after reading the reviews. I recently got a puppy and rang up to book a first check-up and her second vaccinations. The women I booked with on the phone (on Tuesday) was so lovely and enthusiastic, so I was pleased to think there would be great service here and was excited to take little Olive in! However, unfortunately this morning I found the vet to be quite rushed and a bit brash with me- she didn't take the time to talk through any concerns with me or allow me to ask questions, so I left feeling quite confused and stressed. I'm only leaving this review as I'd like the staff to consider that for first time dog owners, the first check up can be worrying for us and that more compassion/care would be appreciated.
10 days ago I rushed my dog to this practice as an emergency, he couldn't breathe and he was dying. They swiftly registered him, put him on oxygen and began treating him. When my dog failed to respond to treatment they arranged to transfer him to their 24 hour hospital for further care. I made them very aware that I am not financially well off and they did everything they could to minimise costs whilst providing excellent care. Yes this is an expensive vet's, but the care I received from Gabi and his team was worth every penny. I now have a dog that is in better health than he has been in 2 years with a good new lease of life. The care from both Gabi and his team at Parsons Green and the hospital in Gloucester Road was utterly amazing and I am unable to express my gratitude to them enough. Thanks again!
The team at Parsons Green are super friendly and welcoming. They made my dog feel right at home with a lot of attention and couple of treats. We have been using Medivet for the past 2 years (Goddard prevs). I feel the vets here genuinely care for every animal that comes through the door they offer professional, but realistic advice and in terms you understand! My dog was neutered with Goddard Vets and ended up with a infection, I feel like they were just rinsing me of money/insurance (this went on for a month) we change to Medivet and my dogs infection was gone within 7days. If your looking for a vet practice I highly recommend Medivet.
I have been with the practise for 5 years and when it was Molly and Max it was amazing. It was like a little family and everyone was so kind and attentive. It has now been taken over and it is awful. Awful service, the staff have all changed. None of the old amazing vets are there anymore. I was rushed in and out of the checkup with no attention given to my concerns. I will be leaving this practise now with a heavy heart. Molly and Max was a special place that helped me with a poorly puppy but this practise is not the same place. I would avoid here and look for somewhere private if you are thinking about signing up. Such a shame.
Went here with my dog today at 1:00pm to get him weighed. Was my first time coming here as my usual vet was fully booked. Got here and was greeted nicely however it was obvious that my dog was nervous and didn’t like the environment. The receptionist didn’t mention anything to me about weighing the dog myself (which she should have seeing as it was my first time at this vet) and so was waiting until 1:45. Very angry as I was waiting for no reason and would have been in and out within 5 minutes. If you do come here for the first time make sure to ask questions as you don’t always get told things.
Gabi and his team are amazing! We have taken our puppy there several times and today we took him to be neutered. Our experiences have only been great. They show much warmth towards our pup and you can tell they really care about the pets and their owners. We had wanted our pup to have a scan of his tummy and Gabi said he didn’t want to waste our money for a scan yet and to try a different diet first. Gabi explains things well, is patient with all our questions and also gives his staff credit foe their work, which I think is great. We love Gabi!
Outstanding. Every member of staff from reception, to the nurses and vets have been wonderful. The vets are incredibly well informed and actually listen to you as an owner, they work with you and your knowledge of your pet to offer and find the best solution. I have always felt listened to, understood and have never felt rushed (even after asking 100 questions) after having been talked thoroughly through any medication/procedures. Molly and Max vets put your pets health and your happiness first. I could not recommend them enough!
Awful vets and people. Requested some flee & tick tablets for my dog. Phoned on the Monday, took my dog in to be weighed. phoned again in the evening but was told it could take 24hrs. Chased it up on Wednesday to be told still not done. Again on Friday to be then told that my account was blocked but could not tell me why and would have to wait until Monday to speak to the head vet. This is how much they care about my dog who has suffered all week. Found out why my account was blocked. This was an error by the vets. AWFUL PLACE!
As new dog owners we have been so glad to find Molly & Max, and particularly for all the care and support we had from Dr Rebecca Flynn. We came to M&M with a young puppy needing various jabs and treatments, as well as paperwork for complex travel overseas. Dr Flynn was tirelessly patient with us and hugely professional throughout. We feel much reassured to have had such excellent support when we needed it, and would wholeheartedly recommend Dr Flynn and M&M as an overall practice.
The team in this vet are really kind, helpful and caring, especially Amy and Sara. My dog Csoki just arrived to UK from a long journey from Hungary and before can take her home she went missing in Fullham. Someone catch and took her to the vet and they scan her chip and contacted me. They took a really good care of her until I was able to come back to pick her up. Now she is in safe at home in Scotland. Thank you so very much for all of you. I really appreciate all you did.
I took my pet here, in my opinion they are quick too run up bills and over exaggerate the treatment plan. They owe me money after over charging and will not reimburse me £200, the bill £1800… I find this not professional and dishonest, I will be using my credit card company to get my refund… I had a few friends this happened too, so I’m not the only one that had this issue… The past owners were amazing, now it is all about running up funds. Pickles vet are so much nicer….
Lovely kind staff. Were very understanding when I was tearful and didnt want my cat to have tests without me with her. I peeped in the window and saw the nurse stroking my cat which made me happy. They listened properly and were friendly but knowlegeable and professional too. Very helpful on fees as well. Nice spacious room so we could keep the cay away from dogs that would scare her and also not have to sit close to other people (with bugs!) Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience, Medivet fitted me in within half an hour, after I called explaining my Dachshund had a swollen and inflamed eye. The vet I saw was brilliant, she was really caring (both in handling Bertie and soothing him verbally) and extremely through, she kept checking and flushing the eye until the 'matter' was gone. Bertie's eye was markedly better the next day and I felt very reassured that the consultation and treatment was so thorough.
I've been taking my 2 dogs to Molly and Max Veterinary Practice for 5 years and I couldn't be happier with their service. My dogs both have very different but very serious health problems and Ella, Alice and Rebecca have always gone above and beyond to ensure my dogs are safe, well medicated, thoroughly checked and happy. The service and care is second to none at Molly and Max and I have recommended everyone I know with pets to use their services.
I (and my dog Charlie) had the best experience with Medivet Parsons Green. We saw Gabi who is absolutely wonderful, caring and thorough. He explained everything to me in detail. Trish the receptionist is so warm and welcoming as you enter (also very help with info). The surgery is spotless and everything about it was professional. Thank you Gabi and Trish for a lovely experience. Highly recommend this practice.
The vet - Ella - was extremely attentive, comprehensive and thoughtful in her approach, assessment and treatment of my dog. She is presenting with symptoms that are difficult to diagnose and along with my own anxiety, Ella did well at presenting with warmth, expertise, competency and expertise. We are grateful for her time, effort and care during this anxious and uncertain time with our little dog.
A year on after our dog passed away from the advice of this Medivet. This felt like a factory, they pushed us to make a decision on surgery and showed us no sympathy when our dog was on his death bed. We feel our dog would still be alive had they not pushed us, this is a money making business don’t be fooled. They made us pay extortionate amounts upon his death. Don’t go here.
Staff and Vet were very friendly and very knowledgable on all matters relating to my pet directly and in-directly. Was able to get a lot of information which was immensely helpful. My pet and I felt very comfortable at the practise from the start, am glad to have this practise so close to me - hopefully won't be in much but if I am I know I won't need to worry.
Vet Sandra done a brilliant job for neutering and spayed my kittens. The cut is clean and clear. My kitten feeling very well, eat well, sleep well also play well on day 1 recovery .... amazing! We are so lucky to have a great vet and her team Amy, Sara etc look after our pets, truly appreciated. Lots of love from Heccy & KiKi - the Scottish fold babies.
December 2020 update My poor dog ripped her leg open and medivet were amazing. They operated on her that evening and did an amazing job. Caring and efficient. Thank you to the whole team. I've always had a great experience at this vets and feel my 2 dogs are well looked after. I appreciate the parking outside as well. The team are friendly and caring.
Attended Parsons Green because the Fulham branch was being refurbished. Very happy with all aspects: booking, appointment, animal care, cleanliness of facilities, general vibe and, crucially, personnel. Would happily take my cat there again (but also perfectly happy with the Fulham branch, which is a little closer to home for me). Thanks so much.
Molly & Max remain to be an outstanding veterinary practise and we are especially grateful to Dr Rebecca for her continuous care & support. We could not recommend her more highly & are eternally thankful for her wonderful advice and reassurance. A truly gifted vet and someone we feel incredibly lucky to have had looking after our cat.
The practice is very friendly and lovely it is immaculate and spacious with plenty of room for the pets who have their own waiting areas the vets are very friendly and put us at ease straightaway they were punctual with the appointment and very efficient. I would highly recommend this practice.
What an excellent veterinary practice! Extremely friendly and professional staff, who made our puppy feel at ease during her 1st trip to the vets. They provide long consultation windows to ensure you don't have to rush over the issues and treatment, and always give great advice and tips.
When this was Molly & Max it could not have been better. - wonderful attentive staff, highly trained vets and value for money prices. Now that Medivet has taken over prices have doubled and care has halved. After 7 great years we’ve moved to a new vet as a result. Would not recommend.
Extremely friendly and professional. Warm welcome as we arrived. I am afraid I didn’t get the names of the girl on reception or the actual vet but they were both lovely. My kittens appeared not too alarmed by their first visit to a vet and were well cared for whilst there.
I moved here from the States and finding a vet that could work with me and my dog was a top priority. He has a strong fear of the vet and can be a very difficult patient but the staff has been so understanding and patient, finding ways for us to get him the care he needs.
Very friendly and professional. They know and love my dog, DC, and have looked after her brilliantly over various grass seed encounters and dietary issues over the last year I have been with them. Highly recommend entrusting your pet to their care
Very good first experience with Medivet Parsons Green. it was very easy to book a last minute appointment and the vet who took us was super friendly and very caring towards our dog. Not cheap for a vaccination, but vets never are, are they?
Much more attentive and more highly trained than other vets such as Goddard. Vets understand dog behavioural issues as well as just technical medical issues. Mimi in particular is wonderful. Highly recommend!
I was given wrong diagnosis for my cat - they did an excellent job even though I went their with no appointment- explained every single step - amazing and highly recommended
