I've been going here for about 1.5 years now being treated by Dr Jen. I'm 33 and I've never needed any work on my teeth, just check ups and cleans. All of which were fantastic, great staff, great doc, good stuff 5/5 for basic stuff I had no issue. In the last 6 months I got my teeth straightened for cosmetic reasons. The experience was pretty distressing due to the lack of communication. In their efficiency, Dr Jen and his staff took liberties which made me uncomfortable. Had they checked in with me I could have objected or asked for clarification. This communication issues could be improved by taking the time to with the patient before doing things to explain (in lay terms) what you will be doing and why. If it is graphic, perhaps also check what parts (if any) the patient wants to know. Examples of what I experienced: - My image was taken, I feel it was my whole head not just my mouth but idk and I wasn't told I could say no (which sucks when you have troubles saying no). - "Polishing" teeth means removing mass/enamel and making the room smell of burnt hair and when you don't know this, it can be quite alarming. - Teeth shifting pain, cavity pain, damaged tooth pain etc are indiscernible to someone who hasn't experienced any of it before and Dr Jen was very dismissive of my questions surrounding tooth pain as they were shifting. - Appointments were very brief and hurried and any questions or concerns I had were met with "Yeah, the results will be worth it". This was frustrating as I had already purchased the service, I wasn't looking for a sales line. I was looking for conformation that the plastic sheaths on my teeth weren't causing cavities.

I have been to this dentist a few times and found them good. However I went recently for a check and clean and as I sat in the dentist chair the dentist pulled up my record and told me I had a no show fee for an appointment I missed last year, I couldn’t remember and understand if I did miss an appointment it wasn’t my intention and it is inconvenient but I felt it could have been addressed by reception not when I’m lying in the dentist chair, I didn’t get a email about it in the 6 months that passed! That’s fine I moved on from that and had my teeth cleaned, paid the bill then looked at it. I wasn’t clearly informed of the separate charges nor was I given the opportunity to say no to things. I paid $39 for a remineralisation agent no idea what that is or if I did need it but I wasn’t asked (you can buy remineralising toothpaste for $13). Edit: response to the below, thanks for your response however it doesn’t really address anything. Saying you have a strict cancellation policy doesn’t address why I was reminded of it while lying in the dentist chair, I had no issue with the policy itself and also saying you just apply the remineralisation agent because it works, also doesn’t address why I wasn’t asked first.

I don't think anyone wants to outwardly admit that they have neglected their teeth. However, due to illness, my teeth took the backburner or a while, and I was very much ashamed and afraid to face the dentist again. When I finally decided to make the phone call to book an appointment, Bec was so friendly and accommodating. I was able to make an appointment for the same day which was a relief. It definitely put my anxiety at ease and I had less time to stress about an upcoming appointment. Dr Jen and Dr Lisa are both wonderful, friendly and reasurring dentists. I was in safe and gentle hands. Emily was equally as lovely as the rest of the team at the desk. I'm very grateful that my brother started visiting here when our local longterm dentist moved elsewhere. He couldn't speak more highly of the team at Melville Dental Care and so my dad and I followed. Thank you for being the lovely and bubbly people that you are. It helps nervous clients like myself to relax. Finding a family focused dentist isn't easy to come by these days. We are very happy to have found you!

Well after six months with this dentist, I can now safely say that I am more and more disappointed with their customer care. There is an apparent lack of communication. I had an appointment booked, I called to cancel but they weren't working, which is fine. But only later, driving past the house, did I come to realise they weren't even at the same place. No one called me back to reschedule, no one informed me about the move. They only remembered me when it was time for my 6 month check-up, so I guess there's at least that. My previous review: The best dentist I've ever had a pleasure to visit. I had a pretty bad jaw/tooth ache. Went in for a check and I was blow away by care and professionalism. They led me every step of the way. Honest, caring and deeply knowledgeable. The entire team is fantastic!

Best kids friendly dental clinic. I was highly recommended by a friend to take my three year old son there for his yearly dental check up. As most mums would know, I was not looking forward to this as I was nervous that my son will not take it well. I was proven wrong, the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by our dentist who was super amazing with kids. My son warmed up to her super fast which made the whole check up run super smooth. We were allowed to carry our son on the dental chair during check up and he actually loved it even with the equipment being used on him. Thanks again for such an amazing experience. Highly recommend anyone with kids to go there.

Today was my third visit at Melville Dental and I just cannot be more satisfied with the service I am receiving. I wanted to give a review on my first and second visit considering how pleased I was with their cleanliness, professionalism, friendliness and overall experience. Today I have all 4 wisdom teeth removed in a 15-minute session for ALL. Absolutely painless, was told what was being done in each step and they ensured I was comfortable before the extraction began. Will definitely go back to get the remaining work done, and will surely recommend that to my friends and family. Lastly, reasonable prices!!

I called Melville Dental Care this morning and explained to the receptionist that I was after a second quote/option for clear aligners. She said I'd have to come in for a consult and they'd be able to help me. 5 mins or so spent with the dentist who told me I'd be able to get clear aligners and that he can't give me a quote until I get further scans done. They then charged me $66 for nothing. Fair enough I understand they can't provide a quote without more information BUT the least they could do was not charge me for providing no further information/help (and wasting my time). I would not recommend. 0 stars.

Dr Lisa was professional, welcoming and informative. Very excited to have found my new dentist as I was looking after horrible experiences with other dentists pressuring me into seemingly unnecessary procedures and cosmetic alterations, including painful botched fillings where rather than fixing the problem - they charged me to fill a different tooth! With long term health challenges, Lisa made me feel understood and viewed my dental health in the scope of my overall well being. She made the dental check up a safe space again where I felt comfortable she had my health front of mind, rather than profits.

I recommend Melville Dental. Prior to visiting them I had left it much longer than I should have since my last trip to a dentist! I've never feared going to the dentist, but I was embarrassed about having gone so long without a check up. The team there did not judge me for my lapse in attention to my dental care, and I was pleased to hear that they could get my teeth back in good shape. They did so quickly and professionally whilst maintaining a friendly and welcoming environment, explaining clearly the work that was required.

I called up last Friday to get an emergency filling on a molar and I spoke to the beautiful reception Sue, she was able to squeeze me in I think I got very lucky that morning because someone had just cancelled. I went in no drama, I was seen straight away by Lisaa and I had my tooth fixed within the half hour and they gave me so much useful insight and information no other previous dentist has done before about my teeth and future health routine. I needed an emergency appointment and was so pleased to be accommodated so quickly with Dr Cheah and did not wait long to be seen. I was informed of each of the steps and was advised of the cost of each of the likely costs which was very reasonable and gave me peace of mind prior to my appointment. The best dentist experience I've had! From the service with changing booking time and day, to the cleanliness of the place and of course - the staff! The entire experience was amazing, I arrived from another state with work half done from another dentist that was meant to be a root canal, after a very friendly check up and review of what stage I was at, They contacted my previous dentist and were able to take over seamlessly and were happy to explain anything I ask or had reservations about. I don't much like going to the Dentist, I tend to get quite panicky and have had full blown panic attacks in the past. I visited Melville Dental Care for a filling today and can honestly say it was the most positive dentist experience I have ever had. Maybe I will not leave it another 12 years before going again?? The Dental centre is in a newly refurbished facility which is light and welcoming, the staff friendly and helpful.

I have been avoiding going to the dentists for at least 2 years as I get really anxious , but were forced to find a new dentist as I realised I had cavities that was giving me issues. I am also new to the area, and did not know where to start looking. Dr Jen, Emily and the team are the greatest. I needed to find someone new local and he was recommended by a friend, and I figured it was worth a try. I went first to get a feel for the place and was most impressed. The clincher... Dr Jen never recommended me to a periodontist and turned out the four deep cleans done here were not deep enough and I now might lose one of my teeth. I should have asked for a second opinion from another dentist earlier who recommended me to a periodontist immediately. Initially I was very happy here like all the other happy patients but the result was truly painful.

Staff here are Heaven Sent! I have an emergency tooth concern, booked late Friday night for the only available slot on Saturday 1pm. They called me Saturday 9am and offered to move my slot to 9:45am (what I am praying for because of the severe pain). They are very accomodating and felt the care that I need. Very competent and compassionate Dentists and Staff.

I honestly have not been a fan of dentist service but my experience with Meville Dental Care this morning was great. I would recommend this dental service to people who have not had the greatest experience previously. Being of the older generation I don't often leave public posts but I felt compelled to leave a positive review.

I had severe toothache and found this dentist on google, check his reviews and went there. Now I believe all the reviews are just fake. I had pain in my 3rd molar and this dentist did xray and treatments for 1st molar. Charged me $375 for no reason. Ultimately i had to go to another dentist and they treated the actual problem.

Could not recommend Dr. Jen and his team enough. From the moment I walked in Emily was warm and friendly. Dr. Jen made the whole appointment pleasant and explained everything that he was doing and was very reassuring and very knowledgeable. Fused my teeth together when doing fillings. Was advised a clean was done, and one was absolutely not done. Had to go to another dentist to get a proper clean, get my teeth separated and re-do my fillings. Quite an unpleasant experience & an absolute waste of money. I do not recommend.

I had my two bottom wisdom teeth removed and I was very scared. Dr jen made me feel comfortable and helped guide me with the after recovery which has been a bit difficult for me. Really appreciate it!
