Several days ago I filled out their online question page. I wondered if we needed to book an appointment to come in. To date, I have received no response, no answer, no nothing. We dropped in on Sunday July 11th to take a chance if we did or did not need an appointment. A nice younger sales clerk asked if we needed help and we explained to her that we needed a proper fitting for size and that an physical therapist told my wife that her shoes are too flat and that we need to get a shoe with a better arch support. The younger sales clerk said that yes we should have her feet sized and showed us some sandals and running shoes. Another customer ask if she could ask the sales clerk we were with a question. My wife told her sure, ask your question....but then she stole our sales clerk as she needed help getting a shoe and such, so much for just asking a question. After waiting a bit an older sales clerk came over and asked if we needed help. My wife explained that we where to get a fitting for size and.....the sales clerk quickly said no. We won't be doing that. You can't touch the shoes. You have to know your size before coming in. No she will not be helping with any of that. You have to stay 6 feet away from her. My wife yelled to me that we are leaving. The younger sales clerk looked up and seemed confused as to what happened. We left very disappointed! 1) Spend your money elsewhere. 2) Yes we understand about covid19, but why even be open if we cannot touch any shoes and must stay 6 feet away from sales clerks. 3) Don't bother with their online form. 4) I hated giving 1 star, I would have been happier with zero stars.

Went to upper James Miller’s store to buy a good support shoe with good tread. Nothing I tried either fit well, looked good or couldn’t even try on because they didn’t have my size. Customer service started off ok but lost interest (after providing 4 or 5 different shoes) when she couldn’t make a quick sale. As I was leaving, I saw a pair of Clark’s men’s walking shoes that I tried on and almost fit but needed 1/2 size larger. Salesperson took down my name and cell number and was going to call downtown store to find size. Line was busy and she said she’d call me back as soon as she got through .That was a week ago. No call. Obviously I wasn’t worth the effort -as in I didn’t look rich enough to shop there, like I was wasting her time. Well, I still needed some good shoes- I gave up waiting, went to The Boot Shop and spent over $300. Your loss , my gain.

I called about a pair of boots that were on sale to see if they had them in my size. I said i would be down after work ( a few hours) to purchase them and could they put them aside for me. They said they don't hold sale merchandise, not even for a few hours. As the daughter of a father who owned his own clothing store, this in my opinion is poor customer service. Small businesses survive from returning customers and word of mouth. Who do these people think they are? Guess what, Browns holds merchandise and thats where my purchase happened! I will definitely not return to this elitist shop...i was not asking them to hold the boots for a day ....for a few hours but was shut down, no questions asked. Thats the last time I will try to shop there. I would rather shop in a store where I feel I matter and where they try to accommodate me.

Normally, I’m a big fan of Miller Shoes and shop there regularly, but on 24 July 2018 a very unpleasant staff member (the older lady with short grey hair) ruined the shopping trip. I had planned to make a purchase, but ended up walking out because of this woman. She followed me around the whole time and acted like she thought I was going to shoplift, putting away shoes I was still debating even though I never had more than a few pairs out and I always put away what I wasn't going to purchase. When I asked her to check if the other location had a pair of shoes because the one in store was damaged (and she made it worse trying to clean them) she acted very put out. This staff member needs to check her attitude because I would have bought the shoes in another colour but decided to cancel the whole purchase and shop elsewhere.

April 27, 2016 Dear Mr Miller: I am a senior and I buy my shoes at Millers because I have wide feet with bunions on my right foot. I have always had good service and a good fit with your shoes. I have bought my last four pair of shoes at Millers. The last pair which I bought 3 weeks ago and when I tried them on in store seemed just fine. After wearing them to the corner store my right foot was very painful and unable to wear them. I returned them thinking I would at least receive a credit as the shoes were over $300.00 with tax. I can't express how disappointed I was. I thought your customer service/satisfaction would provide a solution to my problem instead I left feeling let down and out of pocket for a large sum of money. Very unsatisfied customer....

A tad disappointed, I’ve always heard good things, however my daughter and her friend went in there to buy shoes (they are older teens) my daughter was sold shoes that are tooo small as soon as I seen her feet I said wooo your arch is going to kill, and these are $$$ her answer the girl told her these where her size. She has the same brand in a sandals she wore there and is a size larger!! I will be coming with her for the return, needless to say. Don’t take advantage of kids they do work for their money. At least some do.

The selection here was decent but we didn't find anything for my mother. One of the staff told us the warehouse down the street carried stock from all over, not just leftovers from the main stores, so we went out of our way to go. When we got there they had all of 2 pairs in her size, but no styles she liked and they told us that indeed, all they get is LEFTOVERS. Please make sure you give correct information to your customers. Thanks.

This place has an awesome collection of shoes. My only complaint is customer service at the mountain location. I had ordered something and went to pick it up. I arrived 5 minutes before closing- according to google.. and they were already about to turn off the lights. They just said "closed". I came from out of town and won't be returning. The down town location is super friendly helpful and would never have done that.

A long-established shoe store in Hamilton, and for good reason. They offer mostly higher-end shoes and boots and some with very unique and funky designs. My wife also loves them because they carry brands and designers she can't find in nearly any other shoe store, like Fluevog. Daniel, the younger gentlemen, is very knowledgeable and kind. Awesome spot.

Extremely friendly customer service and a wide selection of products. The store is quiet and relaxing to shop in and the helpful employees made it a wonderful shopping experience. We left with two lovely pairs of shoes and will definitely come back next time we need a pair. This is the only shoe store in the area worth going to.

I bought some black leather Gabor winter boots in November. The salesman told me that they were quality worth the >$400 price. And he was so right! They are stylish, comfortable, soft gorgeous leather and still look new! I love my boots and I love Millers! Shop there all the time and will continue ❤️

Millers Upper James Great selection and better prices than the one in the lower city on James St N. The service on Upper James St store was excellent and the lady was very friendly. Nice store I would recommend this store for sure. ☺

I went into the store just to browse, but came out with two pairs of comfy shoes and some socks. I have unique foot issues, so was pleased they could accommodate me. A little pricey, but good quality shoes.

Staff were friendly knowledgeable and attentive to my needs. Helped me to find the right footwear and did not pressure me into buying anything. I did find a great pair of running shoes. Two thumbs up

Wonderful store. I have a large wide foot and I was able to find fashionable, comfortable shoes that didn't make me look like I was wearing clown shoes. Will definitely return. Highly recommend.

Excellent quality footwear in lots of sizes and widths. Fashionable as well. Very experienced staff who are patient and helpful. I've bought nearly all my footwear there for more than 20 years.

Nice shoe store. Had to come up here from downtown because they didn't have what I wanted at that location. Quite inconvenient. The upper James location was nice, large and staff were nice.

Did not know they have an outlet location just off the Linc on Upper James. Good selection of larger sizes. My go to location is their downtown store for men's shoes.

Me and my husband went to the store to buy shoes, no one really wants to help us. There was 3 or 4 ladies sitting around. Not at all friendly.

First rate selection of styles and sizes: second to none. Staff is knowledgeable for help with fit. If you haven't been there you need to go!
