For those of you confused, I’ve changed the review back. People do care at Mitcham vets, maybe they just need to be clear about their difficulty in communications as they have a reason for this. I can’t fault the care my pet has had. I was annoyed about communication fro reception staff. Sorry to have caused trouble. Original review: Where have you been all this time?! I’ve had the best vet ever (Ellie Richardson at Norwood). Sadly when she left and sold the practice I didn’t think I would find anywhere else where they cared about my cat, my family member. I have used three vets since and they were clearly only interested in the payment. I’ve already left a review of the last vet who could not be bothered to order my cats medication (8 weeks plus). The reason I write all of this is because I think people just get used to bad vet surgeries. When you walk through the doors of the Mitcham Vet surgery, you are immediately at ease and therefore your pet. The receptionist I met was absolutely lovely! She was quick to help me out as I don’t do well with dogs around me- she was completely understanding of this. My cat was seen on time by a lovely, caring vet who listened to me. She made me feel like my information was important as I am with my cat all the time. She was very honest about prices and treatments. The nurse was fabulous as well- someone who really knew her stuff and was determined to help. I’m just so chuffed! I have exceptionally high standards as that’s what I’ve had for years. I’m so glad to have found another vets practice like this!

Every place seems OK when you don't have big problems, but I think you can tell when vets are good for real when your pet is very ill. I recommend this vet 100%.They were so supportive with me when my cat was critical, I can't thanks them enough. They really care about my cat and did the best to try to help me also with the cost of the treatment. Thanks alex, Marta, eoghan... you are passionate about animals. Alex gave me his personal number for any problems and when I had it he was there all the time. Eoghan cancel his other appoiments to go with me to the emergency clinic, he even paid my uber. Him and marta made his best to try to help me with my money issues in a very human and warm manner. I don't know what is gonna happen with my cat but everything is easier when you have to deal with professionals like this ones. There is another lovely vet I don't know her name but even she wasn't there that horrible day, she was very caring with my cat in procedures before. Great team! One more time, thanks.

Honestly had the worst experience with my German shepherd mix puppy. We got sent a email to say it was time for him to get nurtured. I called them up and explained my puppy is very nervous and would spaying help. The lady on the phone couldn’t give me any advice and after much googling we booked an appointment. I had already informed them of my dogs behaviour on the phone and brought him there fully muzzled. Once there the vet told me she would not handle my dog because she had been previously bitten by another dog a while ago. She then gave my sedatives for the dog and told me to come back another day. When we returned with the dog sedated it turns out the vets had cancelled the appointment without telling us and said it was recommended he would be spayed at a year old and that 8 months was to early. None of this was previously discussed with us and the lady on the door laughed about me sedating him saying “at least he will be quiet today”.

I took my cat Bailey to the vets on Monday and I saw Emma the care i got from her was outstanding and the care and treatment Bailey received was above outstanding he has a serious abscess on his face and she managed to drain it I was told I had to have a follow up today and I saw Maria who again was outstanding thanks to Maria and Emma Bailey doesn't need surgery ,the vet nurse and the receptionist alana was also very good the nurse was extremely kind as I was very worried and so was alana the care and compassion they gave me and Bailey was above outstanding if anyone needs a vet please use mitcham vets they are outstanding. Thank you to all the staff at mitcham vets you are the best and they care about your pet and the owners simply the best please please use this great practice

My partner and I have pet plan with this veterinary surgery. During our recent, routine check up, we were told that our cats were fat, that a vet wasn't required to convey this to us. We were also told that half the stuff we pay for on pet plan wasn't necessary and that we shouldn't be giving our pets medication they don't need. All of which was news to us as we take our cats to this vet for regular check ups. Maybe the vet we saw was having an off day when we last visited, but it left us considering whether we should cancel our ongoing pet cover.

Really liked this vets when we first joined with my puppy but after failing to give me the buster coller for my male cat after I was told he had to wear it im very disappointedwith service- causing him to open up his wound and get an infection. When I complained, receptionist didnt really care and have still had to pay for the extra treatment. Took 3 weeks for him to heal from something that should have been a week. The vets them selves are very friendly but feel the lack of knowledge from reception staff is affecting the care of the animals

I was a customer for about 2 years, but I was not very happy and I went to another vet. My Jack Russell was badly operated, when I asked for help, the doctor who operated my dog sent me home, telling me to come back on Monday, because now he is not working anymore, just starting the weekend. Another time my cat got a too much anaesthesia during surgery and for 2 days he could not recover. I was already afraid that he would eventually die. Kind of friendly service, but something missing, maybe professionalism ??? ...

I strongly recommend this practice to everyone! I called today regarding my dog leg problem, the receptionist was lovely! However I booked appointment online and I was really glad that I found slot for today. First time I felt heard and understood. Niamh was really kind, helpful and gentle with my dog, she explained everything clearly and thankfully by her my dog wasn't stressed. If we will have any future problems with our dog, we will definitely come back. Thank you for your help and great service!

I've been going to these vets since the late 1990's, and despite new ownership about 2 years ago they are still very good. There's normally only one examination room and there's about 6 seats in the waiting area. The reception has slightly improved but generally is the same layout. The only downside is parking which is now restricted to resident permits but for a small feee you can purchase a parking ticket. However traffic wardens regularly patrol these roads as well!

I took my very poorly cat to this vets and Francesca the vet who looked after my cat was truly amazing.she saved my cats life and I cannot thank her enough.anybody who has a pet who is unwell then go to this vets they are simply brilliant and the cost was very good I would very highly recommend this vets.i also want to thank Chris on reception who was also very kind,caring and helpful.so thank you so much for everything you are hero's

Everyone at Mitcham Veterinary Surgery has been amazing. They are kind and caring and I can always get an appointment to be seen quickly with my cats. I was a new cat owner in February and found out in march one of the cats I had was very very pregnant! A total shock but everyone at the surgery has been so helpful with advice! Thank you for helping to keep Cookie, Luna and Chip in good health! I cannot recommend them enough :)

We have always had a great experience. Friendly service, good advice and efficient service. We’re always able to get an appointment last minute because even if Mitcham are busy they’re able to put us through to the Streatham or Wimbledon branch, all of which are super easy for us and equally friendly and helpful. The branches might not look particularly flashy but we’re so pleased we’re with these guys!!

The team consistently provides top-notch care for my beloved cats. Their professionalism and dedication have been outstanding. Getting a quick appointment is never a problem. The entire staff is lovely, they go above and beyond. they demonstrate a genuine passion for animals and a deep understanding of their health needs. I highly recommend them to any pet owner.

The receptionist was very welcoming. The Vet Isidro was really professional and caring he explained in detail the treatment for my dog. He gave us very helpful advice to help her to get better and prescribed the right medication, My dog is getting much better, so glad we are registered there. Going to the vet can be an uncomfortable experience for both owner and pets, but this Vet centre is so warm, welcoming and lovely, that the experience becomes much easier and less stressful. Great customer service, lovely vets and they absolutely love pets, makes you feel that your animals are such In great Hands!

Only started using this vet recently as I always put my trust in one I’ve been using for 7 years prior. However, I am so glad I have not started to use mitcham vets. The vet is wonderful and so kind and gentle to my pets and the practice is welcoming and polite. I highly recommend this practice to others

Absolutely lovely friendly kind and professional veterinary practice. We just moved to the area and had to book an emergency appt for our doggo and despite the Wimbledon practice being full the AMAZING receptionist booked us promptly into the Mitchem branch and registered our pet. Highly recommend.

I am very glad that I joined this veterinary clinic, the staff was very friendly and helpful ,their attitude towards my cat was extremely good, they helped with his problem and even kept him for 10 minutes because his temperature was above normal, I highly recommend this veterinary clinic

Great staff, all the vets I have seen are always so gentle. Never had a problem with booking an appointment either - in advance or last minute for emergencies. The only issue is parking - there is one spot at the front of the surgery. Otherwise I would park in Lidl and walk from there.

Very nice Vet However the only down side what not make me feel comfortable . Is leave my cat alone with vet inside the room as on my previous vet we are invited to go in and an explanation was given about everything they will do . Apart from that very friendly .

My cat still got tail half gone with fur and consultation is waste of money as they told me to see in few months and blame stress always, I’m now stressing and will go further with this as cat is not a bag of money as they think, pay pay for google it …

Pleasant and welcoming. Easy to contact and book appointment even though I called the day before. I felt like the vet listened and understood my concerns and provided a treatment plan that I was happy with. The staff and receptionist were all very welcoming.

I absolutely love this veterinary surgery, been taking my cats there since 1993 when Duncan was the Vet in charge. The nurses and the vets have a real compassion for the animals and you can't fault the care they give to the animals and to the owners too.

Professional, courteous, friendly and welcoming. They took great care of my pet and showed her as much love as I do myself. Best vet experience I've had. I'll definitely be registering the rest of my pets and this will be my first choice vet!

After it became almost impossible to get an appointment at my cat's previous vet I thought I'd try Mitcham Veterinary Surgery. I'm glad I did. Lovely people, very friendly and most importantly my cat was seen quickly.

Tried this vet as they had a great offer of full vaccinations for £40. Staff were lovely and friendly and I will definitely be going back. The inflatable ticks and worms in reception really added to the experience.

Very helpful and lovely ladies looked after my dog Alfie! Great service from knowledgeable and thoughtful staff based in the centre of Mitcham. It has a sister surgery in Addiscombe but both as good as each other!

They charge me £40 pound for consultation twice without find the treatment for my cat twice. Basically they failed 2,times and I payed £220 for nothing.

What can I say but excellent vets very polite and understanding and the most helpful vets I know won't be going anywhere else highly highly recommended
