On Sunday April 9 about 12:30 PM googling for a mosque around, I was surprised once I found Maryam mosque near by, I headed to the location immediately, in the yard I saw a lot of people males and females very well and excellent dressed, they all smiley welcome me, I asked one young man where is the wadhu and prayer side he told just follow those people that time I saw a royal building which I expect one day will be a historic building. Once I approached the main door it was closed after the last one before me, I knocked the door one young man dressed in full suite just reminded me the presidential security guards, I asked him where is the wadhu and prayer side? He told me time is over and the mosque is closed, I asked him I want to pray Dhuhur prayer?!!! He said you can head to next mosque few blocks away on Stony Island. I am surprised it's just now Dhuhur Azan!!! So these people set their prayer before azan or what is going on. Ok forget let me go to nearby mosque which I visited just the previous night where the situation was very different the Imam welcome me and he showed me how to open the door and the secret code of the key box , the imam told me just in case there is no one here you can open the door by your self, where I think this the exact standard Islamic spirit; trust and welcome any time. But at Maryam mosque I saw a very markedly clean people, most of the males dressed in full suite, but most of the females dressed in white unique dresses with white head cover just looks like the Christian Sisters!!!!!. So my advice if someone googled for mosque and find this mosque don't waste your time by heading towards it but just head to Masjid Al Farooq at 8950 South Stony Island Ave Chicago Illinois.

I remember going to a Mosque in Colorado to watch the live streams of Farrakhan teaching and I was going to a Madrasah. Which was a Sunni Madrasah, the owner of the Madrasah warned me about him and how he’s mentally ill. After opening my eyes, I understood on how this mosque’s main audience target is towards so called black people. And that white people are made from Yakub who’s supposingly a scientist which was never specifically mentioned in the Quran nor the Bible. God made everyone and everything in his image, there is no one that can make someone or something as divine as God’s creation. Also, I’m no longer a Sunni I’m now a Christian since last year., It says in the Bible that nothing else should be added to the Book. In the Quran it also says to follow the Bible and the Torah. Jesus is the only way, the truth and life. If you go to a church (not a Catholic Church) people will welcome and greet you with open arms. You don’t have to look a certain way or dress a certain way. I feel more freedom in Christ and I’m glad God opened my eyes n showed me the way to true salvation.

The old brown skinner man with the gold old jaguar that I guess is security is literally terrible. My life was threatened because of him. I was walking to the trash can to throw some things away instead of throwing it on the ground and this man literally pressed on his gas so fast and almost hit me to figure out what I was doing. Then he proceeded to question me like I was committing a crime and followed me in his car until I just went off on him. As a man there is no reason why you should act this way towards a woman walking. I was in a vulnerable state of mind just walking enjoying my day and waiting for my friend to get out of practice. I felt threatened by him and I will NEVER step foot on this premises again. If this is how you guys treat women in this religion, I want no parts.

Edit: This Masjid and group run Min Farrakhan is not a part of mainstream Islam. (One of the reasons why Malcom X left this group) Even though I read some critical feedback I decided to visit anyway. I visited after asr prayer was done, but masha'allah the security was super nice and not only escorted me to the wudu area but also turned on the lights for me. Absolutely loved the Masjid, beautiful masha'allah. With that said I am not saying what other brothers have experienced didn't happen but I did had an amazing experience alhamdullilah. Note: Min Farrakhan is connected to this mosque and he speaks whenever he is in Chicago. This place also had an Islamic school.

I went there for maghreb on a Tuesday and the doors were locked. The person opened the door and asked me what I wanted. I told him I came here to pray. He said its business hours, masjid isn't open. Here it is a big mosque which only opens for Jumma. What's the point of having a mosque when there are no 5 daily prayers being prayed. The doors are being shut on Muslims faces who wish to pray any other prayers other than jummah. Very disappointing. I don't understand the point of having such a beautiful big buidling, with a huge parking lot, and a big sign which says welcome to mosque Maryam and you can't even enter for prayers. Shameful!!

A destination for many. This beautiful mosque is a desire for many to get married with a large lecture hall and plenty of balcony seating available. This Mosque is opposite under the authority of The Honorable Minister Farrakhan and leadership he put in place. There's a school attached with a full gymnasium that's also easily converted into an event space, as you see in the videos.

Went to go pray there and they wouldn't let me pray in the building because there was no security down stairs. I said ok no problem can I at least pray in your parking lot. They said no and to go pray on the grass across the street with 3 Lanes of oncoming traffic passing by. You are not supposed to be supicious of your fellow muslim. In our religion suspicion is from the devil. I will never come back again.

Al Hamdulillah....this Spiritual House is dedicated to The Mother of Jesus to remind us that Woman is our first and foremost Teacher!!! Every time Allah Blesses me to step into The Sacred Space it is such an Awesome Experience Be it Jumah Prayer on Friday, Self Improvement Study Group on Friday nights, Wednesday night lectures or Sundays meeting I always leave Better than when I arrived!!!

This is the place for us young men to learn how to be and how to talk and live like men i appreciate this place the place. Is full of allahs blessings ive been different since the first time i came and i love this great house of worship please come out and be apart of such a great movement for young men and women and old peace be upon you all.

Mosque Maryam is absolutely one of the greatest places to learn the knowledge of self & the Source of All Mighty GOD! Farrakhan & The Nation Of Islam is the beacon of Light to the whole of humanity! I LOVE MOSQUE MARYAM!!! Keep doing what you do to save the minds of a fallen people that seek salvation.

What’s the purpose of a mosque if you are not allowed to pray there jummuah and act like an underground organization. I wasn’t very welcome as a Dutch-Moroccan Muslim and told me to go and pray in another mosque (which was 40 minutes walk). To much cultural influences practices here.

Mosque Maryam, uplifted my spirit the member hospitality was very warming I felt a sincere sense of feeling like I was home returning to the mother land. The sister and brothers energy were the greatest. Allah is nur is shine on Mosque Maryam peace.

I am from Atlanta Georgia and visited Mosque Maryam. The brothers and sisters were so nice and welcoming. It is a very clean and safe space as well as beautiful in the inside. I recommend coming on a Sunday to hear a teaching that is life changing!

worse place ever. Had a gun pulled on me for trying to enter the mosque to pray? will never go back and security is very very rude. the minister preaches nothing but hate. does not recommend for real muslims this place is a joke.

I went to food pantry.. held last Wednesday of the month...they need more customers to pick up boxes of vegetables like cauliflower, lettuce, potatoes,and pineapples....check them out!..very respectful and helpful

This is not a mosque. its just written 'Mosque marryam'. i went for maghrib salah. they dont even know what maghrib salah is!! Stay away. and we need to report about this place's activity to proper authority.

I went their to pray....but they told me...this is a private property you have to leave ....they even have a university called Mohammad university of Islam...they should remove that …

I am a Muslim and was not allowed to enter because I am not black. This is a black supremacist organization masquerading as a religious organization.

This Mosque is closed for Fajr (obligatory morning praying) cause opens only at 9:00 am. I can not even imagine like this in the world?!

I could not get inside for the prayer. A lady from the mosque said the mosque is not available temporarily. The prayer time was dhuhr
