The job that Luis and his team performed was poor. They were hired to pack and load my 1BR apartment into a standard sized U-Pack Cube for 4-5 hours and to provide materials. The team arrived promptly, was courteous and worked very quickly with the packing. I estimate they finished the packing in ~2 hours. We then waited for approximately 90 minutes for the U-Pack Cube to be dropped off. The team took “a break” as there was downtime and nothing to do. That is understandable. The problem was that the team did not do a sufficient job of loading the items into the cube — and as it turns out — did not do a sufficient job either of packing my items into boxes efficiently. The team left close to 10 items—some pieces of furniture and 1 box—and claimed they could not fit it in. I was shocked, as I had made a similar move with a similar amount of items from NYC to Oakland, using the same size cube. Luis seemed very eager to wrap up the job and move on. He did not express any interest in wanting to staying longer to remove items from the cube and do a proper packing job. When the time came to pay — the payment app required me to leave gratuity. Not willing to leave all of these crucial items behind, I hired two Task Rabbit workers that very day. The 3 of us took a few hours to re-pack the cube, properly. We had to open up boxes that Luis and his team packed, only to discover that many of the boxes were less than full, thus taking up unnecessary space! We managed to pack a majority of the left behind furniture items (certainly the most important pieces) into the cube and all of the revised boxes. This was not what I expected from a professional moving service (and especially not at their price point). I had reached out to them for an explanation and partial refund but they gave no response. I will not be recommending this service to anyone in my community in The Bay Area.

we selected Moving Forward based on good reviews and we had an awesome experience. should be given more than 5 stars. process to book was organized and tech savvy. we got COl exactly as was requested by HOA in 2-3 days. movers showed up on time at 8 am in the morning. it was Luis and 1 more person. they did such an amazing job of moving so much of our stuff in such a safe manner that we were so happy. very easy to work with and communication in English was perfect. very understanding of different instructions and requests. they wrapped everything in plastic wrap and used blankets for all furniture. we moved a big seater recliner, large bookshelf, 65 inch LG oled tv, TV cabinet with glass windows, tall dressing mirror, ping pong table, 2 king mattresses and bed frames. they worked very fast and hard and efficiently. it took us 7 hours to complete the move for all the stuff we had from large items to small items. very fair and transparent pricing and we can pay using credit card. win-win for everyone. will definitely reuse Moving Forward movers again in future and recommend them to everyone.

I used this company recently for a move within San Francisco and they were fantastic! Hands down the best moving company I've ever used, starting from the moment I called them. The person who answered the phone and managed my booking was friendly, responsive, and provided great customer service. On the day of my move, the company was able to accommodate my request to shift from the morning to the afternoon since I wasn't finished packing. In the afternoon, they arrived early and the three men were all very respectful, listened to my requests, and answered any questions I had. The movers were very careful with all of my things, in contrast with movers I've used before. They wrapped my furniture so it didn't get damaged and when needed, took some of it apart and reassembled it correctly on the other end. They moved a very large, heavy armoire, which requiring deliberate planning and a lot of maneuvering. I would absolutely use this company again and I would recommend them to anyone I know.

I used Moving Forward for a residential move earlier this month. To be completely honest, the morning didn’t start out great. The mover driving the truck got too close to my car, damaging the driver side mirror. This made me a little nervous for the rest of the move. That being said, based on the way it was handled, this place still deserves 5 stars! The movers apologized, assured they would have it fixed, and immediately contacted their boss. They completed the move smoothly and quickly taking great care of my items. The same day, I received a call from the owner, who told me to get a repair estimate, send it over, and they would reimburse me for it. He reimbursed me within a couple days of receiving the estimate. Of course I would have preferred not to deal with a car repair on top of moving, but accidents happen and this company handled it in a professional and timely manner. Excellent customer service!

Moving forward is great! I will never use another moving service! Mario has been with me for now the second move and should forsure be a manager, he is so great and is always a leader! They are quick and do the job unlike many other Sf moving companies that I have hired in the past! The guys who work for the company are people who I would want working for my company. They just want to get their jobs done and do it quick while being gentle with your precious items, they are always so awesome they also packed my storage unit perfectly 2 times in a row!

If I could give 10 STARS, I would! where do I start.....These guys were actually early (8:00 am), showed up in a very good mood, professional and were ready to work! Price was very competitive with all the other SF Bay Area movers around. I was moving from a 2bd to another 2bd apartment and these guys didn't stop working (never slowed down), until my move was complete. It was a hot day so I offered them water and even then, they didn't stop working. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone and will use them again on my next move in the future.

These guys are phenomenal! If you're on the fence as to whether or not get movers or which one to choose from then stop here. I was so impressed by how fast the movers were able to take everything from boxes, furniture, and wall mounts down. Such a massive stress reliever and all my boxes and furniture were delivered in the same condition as they left. I've been recommending Moving Forward to everyone I know and will definitely use again in the future!

Moved with them last year and was very happy about their efficiency and pricing. So I wanted to use them again this year, however, apparently they don't need my business anymore. They respond to my initial request, I gave them all details, then they asked me to call them. Which I tried but nobody would answer the phone. Left multiple messages and send another emails, no response at all.

The movers were so unbelievably efficient and a joy to have! Professional, fast crew. We used their packing service and moving service. On both days, they were extremely efficient and moved us from our 3 bed, 3 bath SF apartment that was up 3 flights of stairs to our new place in 7 hours, including furniture assembly and disassembly. Moving Forward is an amazing moving company. First off, their rates are very good, lower than I had anticipated. Second, they’re great at what they do. The crew wore their masks, moved all items without a single thing breaking, being dented or scratched. The crew was professional and checked with us every step of the way.

The team was incredibly efficient and took great care with my things. I had a tricky staircase to navigate and they did not bump or scrape anything. Moving forward requires a minimum of 3 hours to work for you, so if you’re a one bedroom person with only a queen bed and five large boxes, they might not return the call.
