Exceptional! They did everything way above standard. The service was the standout as it was well staffed. We were greeted outside the door to help us find a table. Our coffee orders were taken immediately and arrived very quickly afterwards; same with the food. The coffees were perfect and loved the shaved chocolate on top of the cappuccino! Considering the cafe was super busy on Sunday morning, this was fabulous. Meals were ample servings, absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. I could have ordered more, purely for the sheer delight of my tastebuds! The menu had a great selection and was well priced. There was plenty of seating out the front and heaps in the covered courtyard. The heaters were on, so I t was warm for a winter’s day. Situated on the corner of Springvale and Dandenong Road (Princes Hwy) it has very ample off street parking. It’s easy to access the car parks out the front. My only issue is that, although the tables were clean, they were sticky. However, there is nothing to be upset about at Mr Grumpy’s. I will definitely be going back!

This restaurant used to be a quiet, cozy place to get a weekend brunch. However, it has recently become very popular and is now bustling with customers. I'm glad they're doing so well, because the food is always 10/10. I've been to this restaurant many times, both for dine-in and takeaway, and the food has always been amazing. The menu is varied and there is something for everyone. I especially love the chili scramble and their lattes. The staff is usually very friendly and attentive. However, on our last visit, we had a few hiccups with some new staff members. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food is amazing, the service is good, and the prices are reasonable. My wife and I will definitely be going back again for years to come.

Chilli Scrambled Baguette

So, the reviews aren't fake. This place is like an oasis of heavenly gourmet food. You get 1.5x the serving size and 3x the deliciousness, all while paying roughly 10% less than anywhere else. My 4 year old daughter and I came here for breakfast one morning after she spent a night at the hospital, and we both agreed that the cafe was so good, it was worth the hospital visit! The only problem is that I live on the other side of the city! But eff it, I think I'm going to have to drive an hour just to come here every once in a while!

This is my husbands favourite cafe - we went here recently and discovered the outside eating area at the back. We often order a Cappuccino to share - but ended up going for a second here because they are so good. It has a super fun atmosphere, great brunch options and friendly staff. They were really friendly to our 18m old also - saying hello, interacting with her and offering a high chair. Would highly recommend going here!

Never, in my short 27 years on this earth, have I wanted to leave a review for any where I've been too. Mr. Grumpy's Cafe is a thoroughly enjoyable experience from walking in hungry, to walking out full of food and coffee. I can't recommend them highly enough, the staff were extremely lovely and considerate in regards to allergies. Their general service overall, from the waitresses and waiters, to the front counter staff and the cooks in the kitchen, is some of the most warm and welcoming I've felt walking into a Cafe. I'll definitely be returning. 10/10 across the board.

A friend introduced me to this little gem tucked in a off road near the Spaghetti Junction. As soon as you walk in you're greeted by amazing customer service. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is also really cool with a backyard chilled vibe. Especially sitting in the courtyard out the back (definitely recommend). Lastly the food is exceptional. Affordable and very generous servings. The breakfast baguette was probably the best I've had and the relish was amazing. Definitely recommend and will be to family and friends.

Food : What we ordered were delicious & my coffee was to my liking. The Nutella Smoothie was good. The menu is "simple" and unpretentious, so it is good for someone who doesn't like too many options. Service: Attentive and well staffed. We got there around 11am on a Saturday and got a table for 2 right away. The food arrived very quickly as well. Atmosphere: If you want to chat, maybe the outdoor or back courtyard seating would be a better choice. We sat indoor and the music was very loud, so we couldn't hear each other well

Can't believe we hadn't heard of this spot before - the breakfast was delicious! The breakfast burrito and open chilli eggs were super tasty and the servings were very generous. Chai latte was great too! They obviously put a lot of care into the taste and presentation of the food which is rare and a very special treat. What a fun space too. We'll be back!

Honestly an amazing place, service and food where outstanding. Not often I am blown away by a Cafe, but today was the day, an perfect experience from start to finish. First place I've ever been to that I've felt my allergies where actually considered and listened too. Second time to this place in two weeks! It’s always bustling and I can see why - the food is value for money compared to other overpriced brunch places, it’s large and spacious with the courtyard outside and most notably the staff are always super polite and welcoming. Chilli scrambled egg was not bad. Eggs were nicely done, saussage was lovely, really big portion over all, split it between 2 people. but the star of the show,, DELICIOUS COFFEE. Oat latte was one of the better ones I had in melb, would definitely drop by if I was in the area and in need of coffee. Honestly place seemed really promising, and would come back again to try other things on the menu!

Moved from Sydney recently and living in Springvale. Tried them out a few weeks ago and loved it. The food, the atmosphere, the friendly staff.
