Fantastic service! I cannot recommend Mr. Rooter enough! I called them on a Sunday evening with concerns about a strong sewage like smell coming from one of my two condo bathrooms. My boyfriend and I had recently moved into this suite and an inspector had told us that one of the toilets had loose pegs / needed the wax ring replaced/resealed. We decided not to use this bathroom until after we had fully moved/settled in to the suite and until the toilet was properly repaired.. but the sudden strong stentch took us by surprise and we knew we needed help. Thankfully Mr. Rooter is 24/7 so you can call and speak with someone ASAP. I cannot even begin to express how kind and patient the receptionist was! They had initially told me that someone would call me back within 10 minutes after I had explained my concerns, yet after waiting 3 hours with no phone call I ended up calling back 2 more times to see what was going on. I understand how annoying this can be, especially when everyone was busy that night with larger tasks, but I was still treated with kindness which was appreciated in the stressful situation. After my third call I got a text from one of the workers (I believe?) saying they could not come by tonight but they were quick to book me in ASAP to have someone come over another day! Thankfully Tuesday morning was free and we were happy to wait. I recieved a call the day before to confirm my appointment and a call the morning of to inform me that the plumber was on their way over / when to expect them by. The communication was excellent! The individual who worked with me today was a blessing! He showed up on time and had a bright personality which helped to relieve my stress. Not only did he do a fantastic job with fixing our toilet, but he took the time to explain/show me what the problem was and how he went about fixing it. There was no need to second guess his work, it spoke for itself! Everything was VERY clean, professional and he was able to help me with a couple extra things he noticed after inspecting the two bathrooms. Every step of the way he kept me informed about cost and didn't pressure me once to try and get more work done. Having the chance to have that conversation and being able to make the call on what to do was great! I was happy to get the additional work done and am beyond pleased with how much better everything is working. The difference is night and day! Thank you so much for providing an excellent service! I will be sure to give you guys a call again should anything come up and will be happy to recommend you to any friends/family looking to have some work done :)

Rooters does not fix irrigation system. Had a leak on the outdoor irrigation system. City of Vancouver shut off the main water valve so I contacted rooter for help.contacted Rooters for help. The lady over the phone confirmed what I need is help to look at the outdoor perimeter piping, when I mentioned I need help to look at the outdoor irrigation system Rooters was responsive arranged a tech to visit the site on time. The tech mentioned first thing to do is to perform a down pressure test. Had me sign an agreement to the $375 charge. The tech hooked up a pressure gauge to an outlet of the irrigation system. The idea is to turn on the irrigation system, wait for it to stop then observe the pressure drop on the gauge. The tech asked me to turn on the irrigation system. Irrigation system turned on. As soon as we heard sound in the piping we realized there was no pressure. Then there was a visible leak in the field near by. Rooters confirmed they found a leak but they won’t fix irrigation. So at the end I spent $415 ( they offered me a $20 off) - to have rooters turned on the main water valve + Had me turned on the irrigation system to find the visible leak. To me the pressure test was unnecessary, “Rooters could have informed me they do not fix irrigation system right from the get go.” Note I used Rooters before they have different crews. The crew I had last time gave me a more professional sense - as they took time to think about best approach without making feel that I paid for something unnecessary. So my thought is which crew you l get depends on your luck. Thank you for reading. Edit: received a thank you reply here. It would be nice if the reply would give me some idea of the underlying questions I had: 1. Why did the crew not inform me Rooters do not fix irrigation system right from the get go? 2. Why was a $375 down pressure test was suggested before asking me to turn on the irrigation to do a visible check first? At the end the cost was $415 to turn on the water main to find out the crew cannot help me. ‍♂️

Leave professional matters to professionals! It is my first time with Mr. Rooter, and it has became my well trusted service company. I had a sewage pump failure in my basement on Sunday and flooded. I searched on the web and called Mr. Rooter, as they provide 24/7 emergency service. Talking to the call center operator is like a breeze, and a field engineer was dispatched the same day afternoon on Sunday. Sohil Bashardost came, took out the pump, investigated the situation and provided the solution recommendation. Since we cooked in basement, there were lots of, huge rock-style floating grease build up in the basin, it was terrible there. My pump was more than 10 years old, so I requested to replace it instead of repairing. So we made another arrangement on the following Monday to clean out the basin wastes firstly, and then install the new pump. On the following Monday morning, the dispatcher called me informing the arrival time and I waited. Sohil and his crew arrived on time with a truck that was to pipe out the waste. They cleaned the basin thoroughly, installed a new pump, sealed the basin cap and cleaned the floor afterwards. Thanks again to Mr. Rooter, technician Sohil Bashardost and his team crew! Great job!

When another contractor cancelled at the last moment early this morning, I called Mr. Rooter and was told a technician would come over within an hour. The tech, Brent, arrived right on time, and after a careful inspection of our old hot water tank, quickly came up with replacement plan that include bringing everything up to the new required building codes. Brent then went to pick up a new tank and was back within an hour. Brent did very clean and careful work, and was completely finished by 1:30 p.m. He gave us clear instructions about what to do if there were any problems with the new tank or installation...CALL HIM and he would deal with anything on warranty ASAP! He also took the time to explain about the new generation of water tanks along with things we should do to ensure their longevity. He also gave us advice about the need to replace our old water pressure regulator at some time in the near future. All in all we were thoroughly impress with the prompt service and professionalism! We would highly recommend Mr. Rooter !

If I could give 0 stars I would. Our usual plumber who installed our current fixtures was away so I decided to try Mr.Rooter. I had called about 2 toilets not flushing properly and adjusting the temperature in a shower by adjusting the cartridge. Nothing was leaking or horribly broken but needed some attention. After two visits the plumber fixed one toilet, caused a shower leak, overcharged, tried to charge much more, lied a bunch and caused quite a bit of stress and chaos with our schedule during the holidays. He clearly profiled me and tried to fleece me for hundreds of dollars. My sister had a similar experience with Mr. Rooter, I am recommending to all of my friends to never use this company. Our usual plumber came back and fixed the toilet in 15 minutes from a sediment clog when Mr.Rooter said it needed to be replaced and said the other plumber had tampered with the shower cartridge, it was fine in the first place and simply needed to be adjusted. For shame, what an awful experience

After a sewer line collapse, our first call was to Mr. Rooter. They did a great job of cleaning up and then proceeded to repair the line. This was no easy task as it required a 6ft deep x 10ft long trench to be hand dug. This was completed in less than a week! A Herculean task! Kevin at Mr. Rooter then referred us to BC Preferred Restoration to do major repairs in the basement suite. The floor, dry wall and cabinets had to be replaced as they were all contaminated by sewer water. Steve in the head office guided as expertly through the insurance maze. He was responsive and professional. Ivan’s work was top notch and we are very pleased with the end product. Mr. Rooter and BC Preferred Restoration took a horrible nasty incident and made it tolerable with a timely professional approach. 5Star experience.

We had a water flow/quality issue with our new unit in Port Moody. I phoned Mr. Rooter and spoke with the Operations Manager, who patiently listened to my concerns and said, while they would certainly like the business, he highly recommended I call the company back who did the original work in the building and ask to speak to their manager of operations, which I did. Once I did that, my unit was serviced the next day and was properly repaired. A huge thanks to Steve at Mr. Rooter, who gave me great advice and the confidence I needed to call the company back! Also, on a completely separate item, my daughter had an issue with her sink in her unit, she called Mr. Rooter and received professional service at a reasonable rate. We both highly recommend Mr. Rooter for your plumbing needs!

I am honestly extremely relieved I came across this company. I had a washer and dryer delivered yesterday, which service included installation. However, the guys who delivered the machines were not able to complete the job and left everything in disarray. I was left mid-conversation without even knowing who to call to set my machines up. I called Mr. Rooter Plumbing because I wanted to be sure that my machines would be installed properly. Jaswinder was able to come in the very next day, on a Sunday, and did a brilliant job. He ensured that my plumbing was suitable and safe for the machines, and installed them in the span of a half hour. All whilst being professional, really nice, and utterly efficient. I'm very grateful I can rely on this company in the future!

This is the second we have used Mr Rooter. On two occasions we have had to have our indoor and outdoor sump pumps replaced. Both times we had water coming into our home and Mr Rooter immediately got to us after I placed an urgent call. They take their time to explain the issue and give you various options. Nothing is done without your consent and there are no hidden costs thrown in, it's very clear. Their technicians are lovely and keep you up to date whilst they are working. Both times were stressful events for me, and both times I felt we were very well taken care of. They also helped pass us on to get the damage to our property handled. Sukh was our technician both times and he is absolutely lovely and very calm when handling those situations!

These guys really know what they're doing. Sukhjit was fantastic. He provided efficient, thorough and friendly service. He gave me options and helped me come to a best case scenario. We had a misaligned outflow pipe that had roots growing into it. Sukhjit cleared most of them out, scoped the pipe and showed me what was happening and explained the process in detail. He also gave me confidence in my system in knowing what type of upkeep it would require and an estimated life expectancy. The price was reasonable and fair considering what they are doing and when they responded. I called them on a Sunday and the rate was the same as if I called and booked on a Monday. I would totally recommend these guys.

We had a fantastic experience from beginning to end. The telephone assistance was polite, helpful and prompt. Our technician Jas arrived promptly on a Sunday of the July long weekend to our Vancouver home. He was polite and neat. He kept us abreast of the problem by showing us extensive camera/video of the pipe leading out to the city line. It was overgrown with roots at many junctions which he was able to rid of. He left us with a full report and before and after video coverage of the problem for us to forward to the landlords. He made the suggestion that the owners might want to replace the drain pipes at some point as the roots will grow back over time. Has was an 11 out of 10. Simply fabulous.

I had a great experience from start to finish with Mr. Rooter Plumbing. The technician Chris was on time on agreed ETA. He came in our home to assess the problem and made an estimate prior to doing the work. The estimate price was fair and affordable. Chris was courteous, professional, experienced, speedy and efficient in repairing our toilet that keeps on running. In addition, a big shout out to Mr. Rooter’s answering service representative Kim, who has provided such an amazing customer service. She was very pleasant, kind and patient in answering my questions and connecting me with the technician. If you need any plumbing services, I highly recommend Mr. Rooter.

These guys are fantastic and took care of everything! My mom was hospitalized, the motor died in my car and other things were happening and then there was water leaking in the bathroom and a bedroom. Steve at Mr. Rooter was incredible. He told me not to worry and that he would take care of everything...and he did! From finding the leak to replacing the pipes all was done. Then the aftermath, talking to the insurance company all the way to having all the water damage renovations completed. I will forever be grateful to Steve, Mr. Rooter Plumbing and APL Restorations! We called Mr. Rooter based on good Google reviews. After the servicing, I asked to see the itemized invoice before I sign off on my consent for payment, I was refused and said it'd be emailed to me. No, the emailed invoice was not itemized. The quote that they said they'd give us next day did not deliver. Emailed once had no response. I had to call and email for the second time to get the itemized invoice, which we don't agree with the charge. And no, we never got the quote for the product we asked for. I do not recommend Mr. Rooter. They get paid and don't care about anything else. Not impressed at all.

Painful service. One year old Garburator was leaking on the top part, scheduled a plumber, no show, no call on the first visit. Second plumber came looked at it for 2 minutes and said it needs to be replaced. Bought a new one, scheduled an installation appointment, another plumber came said only need to replace one parts. So instead of telling us we can order this parts for $40, he suggested just take the parts from the new $400 garburator and install on the old one, and keep the new garburator as spare. Unprofessional service. Charged $98, made wrong diagnostic and gave bad advise.

My mom had a leak of water outside her house and we didn't know where it came from since it is summer and there is no rain. I called and Kevin Florkow called me right away to set up a time to see it the next day. He is very experienced and knew what was the issue and how to go about contacting insurance etc. All this was done in a day and Kevin contacted the insurance with a quote and immediately approved and the next day people came to start the repairs. Kevin arranged everything and the job was done quickly and done well. I will recommend Mr. Rooter for sure.

Impending doom here. Sewer working. Just. Mr. Rooter came and walked us through a minefield. Sewer now working well. Clean out points installed. This was not cheap, but it was NEVER more than quoted. We dodged a bullet. The new toilet they recommended and installed at very competitive cost, is clearly superior to what we had - thanks for that! Met a number of very competent employees at several levels... all were completely honest with us. I recommend. (It has been a little over a month -- all has settled in well! Even the lawn is alive again where dug up)

I had issues with my kitchen sink so gave Mr. Rooter an email via their website. The next day (which was a Sunday), they called me to schedule an appointment for a technician to come by. They sent Carlos to my place on Monday morning and he arrived a bit earlier than when they said he would, which was perfect. Not only did he give me the quote off the hop, he also showed me what came out and how to avoid it and maintain a clear drain. I am so glad he came when he did because it was so inconvenient to use my bathroom sink for everything. Thanks Mr. Rooter!!

Best Plumbing service you can ever have in Vancouver! I tried many other well-known plumbing companies and None of them worked on my greasy kitchen sink! And I treated Mr Rooter as a last resort. Steve spoke with me over the phone with such a confidence that you didn’t get from other plumbing companies. I knew this is it! Two lads came over in 1 hour after I hung up the phone and only took 30 mins to clear the pipe with a very professional way, bang bang bang, done! Highly recommended, if your kitchen sink is really clogged! They are the second to none!

I was very impressed by the quick response time to an on-line request for plumbing service - even on the weekend. An appointment was quickly set up with a time frame provided. The techs called and showed up on time and were very professional. I was given a choice of quotes depending on what I wanted done. Preston (the tech) completed all the tasks competently and everything was checked and working before he left. We called Mr. Rooter after we had made an appointment with another company who didn’t even show up or give us a courtesy call to let us know they weren’t coming. After calling Mr. rooter they called us back right away and booked a service window the next day. The plumber Tihn, called and let us know he was on his way. He showed up on time and was very professional, he did a great job and was very helpful with explaining what he was doing. We would use Mr. Rooter again if needed and hopefully they will send Tihn again. Thank you

Our old hot water tank had reached the end of its life and had stopped functioning entirely. I was dreading that the house would be without hot water for at least a couple days, but to my surprise and pleasure Mr. rooter was able to install another one very quickly upon the plumber first coming out. We were fully satisfied with the service we ended up receiving. I would recommend Mr. Rooter for their excellent speed of service and for the patient, friendly, and helpful attitude of their plumbers.

I called Mr. Rooter to help with a clogged bathroom sink drain at one of my rental suites. The plumber, Tim, was excellent. He was courteous, on time, and very thorough in his explanation of the work required. He also provided an estimate before the work began. He took care of the issue, then called me afterwards to let me know the work was done. I would definitely recommend Mr. Rooter and Tim, and I appreciate them taking care of our plumbing problem so quickly! Definitely 5 star service

The team and customer service was phenomenal. They took the time to listen and understand my situation and acted promptly to accomodate my schedule. Everything from booking the appointment to having the technician come over and resolve the issue. I was very well please about everything. The team as Mr. Rooter were wonderful to work with. They made sure we understood what was happening and what was needed, then worked quickly to resolve our emergency repair, while patiently walking us step by step through process of filing our insurance claim, ensuring they could provide all the information and documentation our adjuster needed to process the claim efficiently and smoothly. Everyone we've interacted with has been professionally, courteous, friendly, and helpful.

Had a hot water tank leak and they sent someone within 24 hrs. Brent came on time and replaced the tank the same day! I have used other plumbing services, but always come back to Mr. Rooter because of their expediency and professionalism. Granted, they are not the cheapest service out there, but they have a set price protocol which they quote to you before they do the work, and they guarantee their work. As a customer, all I want is good honest service that comes on time.

The same problem last year was not solved but strangely gone somehow. Happened again recently and somehow the water stayed in the sink overnight and the watermark stayed the same which was very bad. The plumber of Mr. Rooter came and checked the environment thoroughly and made some plans with us. The plumber followed the plan and used continuous iron ropes to dissolve the long stayed fat in the pipe. Finally the sink works. I’m happy with the result just kind of pricy.

Despite the circumstances (blocked drain on Christmas night), this was a great experience and our plumber Jas was very polite and professional and was able to get things fixed very quickly. He arrived right on time and the communication from the company was great. I've had bad experiences before with other plumbing companies being very late or not even showing up on the day they were scheduled. This was definitely a good experience and was dealt with very expediently.

They are very knowledgeable and helpful.Our pipe burst when it was also raining hard but they manage to restore water within the day. We did not have to pay outright, they applied for insurance reimbursement and finished the job before we got the insurance payment. Very grateful for the services they provided. It was an emergency call and within an hour they have a technician to check and immediately started the job. They made it stress free

Main drain got blocked on a Sunday afternoon, because if it's gonna happen it's gonna happen on a weekend of course. Phoned Mr. Rooter and they were able to have someone to my house within an hour for a reasonable price given the time. The work was well done and he went above and beyond by identifying the root cause of the issue and telling us how we could fix it, rather than just clearing the pipe. Thank you Jaswinder!

We had water coming out of the toilet and the shower, flooding the bathrooms and into the bedroom, I called Mr. Rooter and they sent Igor within an hour and he was super friendly and efficient, he went way beyond the call of duty, he even cleaned up after he was done. I can’t even stress enough how happy I am with the job he did and his friendly demeanour. I will definitely request him next time I need a plumber.

We had a massive flood in our basement and rooter was able to come to our house first thing in the morning - we opted to wait until morning to have them come. Chris the technician / plumber was so great and knowledgeable. We felt so supported. The bill was less than we expected which was a bonus. Don’t hesitate to call them if your own plumber can’t make it or if you have an emergency as we did. Thanks so much

We were told that it usually will be solved in an hour when we booking. However, when the plumber came, he told us that it’d usually take 1-2 hours. However it ended up with 3.5 hours and we were charged about 800+ because every hour is almost 200 after the first hour. If you think your work can be done in an hour, it might be a good choice. If more than and hour, you need a second thought.

Sergiy arrived on time and was so nice! Reviewed the rates to be sure I was clear and went through the entire process step by step. He got the repair done and was beyond pleasant and professional. Must also mention that Kim (the rep who booked the appt for me) was absolutely wonderful. So many thanks to both of them for making this “crappy” experience so much better than I had expected!!!

Jatinder went above and beyond in his swift response to my call; he diagnosed the cause of the sewage sump backup and overflow, fixed the problem quickly by replacing a burst pipe. Jatinder was professional and courteous, and provided a clear cost estimate at the outset. I would recommend Jatinder highly - he is an asset to his trade. I certainly will use him again should the need arise.

Garburator was busted, very responsive and arranged an appointment super quickly within my schedule. Provided plenty of notice for when technician was due to arrive, they came on time, we’re super friendly and explained everything really clearly. Great service for a reasonable price - did an exceptional job and didn’t leave any mess. Would definitely use the service again, 10/10.

The technician (Saad?) had excellent interpersonal skills and laid everything out very clearly and advised on a couple of problems. My only complaint has nothing to do with him, but the cost structure of the different tools / rooters so that the cost jumped significantly when he had to switch to a beefier rooter. I would prefer an hourly charge after a base rate of getting there.

One night our sink stopped draining and became backed up. The next morning I called Mr Rooter and Igor arrived a few hours later. He was excellent. There was some issues finding the exact problem are, however he refused to give up. He was determined and that was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend Igor and Mr Rooter. Her transparent process. Great prices as well. Thank you!!!!

Highly recommend. My shower was backing up and slowly getting worse. Igor this amazing very helpful and kind technician fixed the problem quickly and gave helpful advice for this to hopefully not happen again. And then he fixed replaced the seal on my toilet which I mentioned was leaking. Friendly, efficient and all COVID safety precautions followed. A very positive experience.

On a Friday night, we noticed a leak coming through our ceiling from an upstairs bathroom and called the first after hours plumber google listed. Mr. Rooter sent someone first thing the next morning. Our service technician, Sandeep, was friendly, professional and did a great job. We were really happy that everything was finished, repaired and installed in the same day!

Our Filed Technician Jas Saran was extremely friendly upon his arrival. He was fast and efficient and was able to complete the task in under 10 minutes. Not only did he fix the blockage from our sink, but he also helped with cleaning up! I couldn't have asked for a better technician to come. Definitely going to request for him in the future if we have any problems.

Igor came to our place and fixed our very clogged drain. He was so wonderful, answered all of our questions, and cleaned up everything when he left. I would absolutely recommend this company. You get a window of time they arrive, so you aren’t waiting all day too, can’t beat it. Service with a smile is what you want these days when someone is coming into your home.

Kevin and Jas came out to assist with a main sewer line backup. They were professional and knowledgeable. Jas helped to cut out some large roots from the City’s trees that had caused the problem. The technician was very clear and thorough with his explanation of the two problems with my waste lines. I was shown live camera images of inside the pipes where the problems were occurring and again when the problems were resolved. The cost stayed as quoted before the work was done. Fantastic experience! I can not say enough good things about this company and how professional they were. I had a leak in my house of which I tried to locate but could not. The plumber arrived extremely quickly, diagnosed to problem, explained the issue to me and repaired it at a very reasonable price. I am recommending this company to all my friends.

Igor was fantastic! He gave me a very fair price for the work to fix a badly clogged kitchen sink and did so quickly and in a friendly manner - even though my puppy is in a "bark at everything" mode right now. I would definitely go to him again if I had any plumbing issues in the future. Booking was also very quick and easy over the phone.

Igor came to our place right after new year to help with our kitchen pipe. He is efficient, handy, and professional. We had no pipe for 3 days over the new year and it was depressing. He was prompt and courteous and gave us a number of options for the repair for our leaking pipe. The repair was quick and the work area was cleaned up. very quick response, our plumber was punctual, very professional, and very kind. we can not say enough great things about Tien (i’m pretty sure that is his name..). next time we need work done hopefully we can request him. but if he’s a representation of the quality of people they hire, you are in great hands.

Phenomenal service. Fast, efficient the quote was spot on my house was treated with care and respect. The second day they came he even brought a little treat for my pup!!! I highly recommend. Two days before the xmas holidays, we had an emergency water pipe issue with flooding, requiring the main water valve to be shut off. Late Saturday night. Hard to get a plumber and Mr Rooter showed up.. Very efficiently located the plug in the sewer pipe and worked until midnight clearing out the plug. Very helpful and very friendly service. I definitely recommend calling this company if you have emergencies 24/7.

Our contractor hit a pipe in our ceiling and we called Mr Rooter in a panic. They arrived within 20 min and fixed the leak. All the other places I called had said they would take at least 3 hours to arrive for an emergency job. If you need quality and responsive service use them!
