We came here for the second time today. The first time was 2 weeks ago when we went to do “paint your own” at Robert Gordon. After finishing we decided to grab a drink from Nancy’s. We stood around for a while, finally a girl asked if we wanted a table; we said yes we wanted to grab a drink, and then changed our minds and asked for a menu as she took us to a table. She seated us and we waited for 20 minutes, instead she served 2 other tables behind and next to us, never came back to give us menus or take a drink order - we were sitting right next to the coffee machine, so it’s not like we were out of site or far away. We decided to leave. Today returned to have breakfast before again going to to do “paint your own”. We had a booking for 3, myself, my husband and our 3 year old; which when arriving was only set up for 2. When she (the same girl as mentioned above) seated us she didn’t bring over water, additional glasses or cutlery - we had to ask for this, despite watching her bring water to the 3 other tables she sat. She was rude, didn’t smile once, and made no effort to be kind or polite she mumbled when taking our order, made no eye contact or ANY effort to apply basic social etiquettes. My toddler was sitting on my lap when she brought our food out - I had ordered the gnocchi which is baked in the bowl they serve it in, with no warning or reminder that the bowl would be hot she placed it on the table right in front of my toddler. My husband was sure to remind our son not to touch the bowl and grabbed his hands before he could touch the bowl - which was lucky because this girl had zero care factor and did not bother to let us know that this bowl was seriously, searing hot. She did not ask us how our meal was, nobody checked to see if we wanted to order another coffee or drink, and from watching this girl interact with all the other patrons, it appears that she does not enjoy her job or care about the experience people have when attending Nancy’s. There were 2 other girls on the floor, one in particular a red head who was smiley, and and seemed attentive to her customers. It is so disappointing to receive such poor service when the food was so good because, no matter how good the food is, when the service is that bad, we will not bother to return. I have never been so disappointed in the service we have received when eating out before, and judging by the reviews regarding the poor service in the last month; that have had no response from the owner, they don’t seem to care that some of their staff are so rude and disrespectful. I haven’t ever bothered to write a review when receiving sub par service before but this girl is so lacklustre, so rude and so overtly grumpy. This girl needs to find a job where she has no customer interaction because I seriously don’t think she would be able to fake a good attitude if her life depended on it.

My first time here, popped in for a late breakfast/ early lunch on a Tuesday at approximately 11am. Menu had some interesting combinations, definitely not your usual breakfast menu. See attached photos. I ordered from the counter, and had a very negative first experience. The male assistant was very rude. First words out of his mouth were"what do ya want" no greeting, no smile. Then after ordering he said "take away?" To which l replied pleasantly, " No, l think l will eat in". I was told to choose a table. I did so with no response. I then paid via card. The male turned his back on me, while l was paying and continued making something else. I said l guess l just go sit down then. To which he just nodded. Not offered a receipt or anything. Not a great first impression. I decided on a Beef Bisket dipping roll, sounded a bit intriguing. I also ordered a 'Deliciously Delicious' smoothie. Yes, that was its name. Smoothie arrived very quickly. It was an unusual purple colour, and it was definitely delicious. The girl waiteress was pleasant and helpful asking if l'd like some water. Then arrived the Beef Brisket roll. Visually, it didn't look much due to the brisket being covered in melted cheese. It smelt great. I cut the roll into small pieces, enabling me to dunk each piece into the beef dipping sauce. Together, it tasted amazing. Sauce was very tasty but a little salty. I enjoyed each dunk and then bite. After the initial negative experience, l enjoyed the food and a wonder around the adjoining pottery store. I would probably come back again.

Let’s start with the cafe it’s very underwhelming, charging $25 for a smashed avocado on toast 1 slice mind you with 4 cherry tomatoes cut in half and not even half of mozzarella ball will make you think coming back here again, don’t bother getting the bacon and egg burger is shocking, ice chilled relish, unmelted American cheese, dry cold bacon that been sitting there for a good 30 minutes and a lukewarm fried egg it was terrible. $14.50 later by this time your shaking your head thinking it’s been 50 minutes how can something so simple how can they get it so wrong. Walking past the kitchen and seeing 3 chefs in there you would be thinking they would be on top of it. But they are seriously not. Disappointed is an understatement if you’re going to charge big dollars for simple things then you best get the simple thing’s perfect. Cos what I received after waiting 50 minutes for I have had better a corner deli. All sides for well over priced if I was you keep away from this cafe your missing nothing special. I personally think if you didn’t have a cafe in Robert Gordon’s warehouse you wouldn’t have a cafe for long nor you would have any customers at all. I think you give an amazing business like Robert Gordon a bad name serving bad underwhelming food when doing nothing except feeding on someone else’s success.

The food is amazing here and, not what you’d expect to find in such an out of the way spot, I’ve been ceramic painting at Robert Gordon three times now and eaten at “Nancy” every time and cannot fault the food and fast service. I feel like it’s almost a hidden gem but, now I know it’s there I would make the journey just to get a lovely lunch! The chefs are clearly very good at what they do.

My daughter is one of the managers at one of the C.B.D’s busiest restaurants and was also very impressed with the food. They also have to eat a gluten free diet and had the special of a gf chicken burger and loved it! Upon our next visit they had gf version of the pulled pork Benny and that was also excellent! So, thank you

Look, the parking is ample but the actual parking lot could be better, a bit uneven to walk on and a potential hazard for those of us with some mobility issues. But, street parking is also available.

Nestled inside the pottery outlet, this is a beautiful little place serving possibly the only truly speciality coffee in Pakenham (for the moment!) Their milk coffee is gorgeous and creamy and batch brew is full bodied. Service can sometimes be a bit disorganised but everyone is super sweet and lovely so I don't really mind. The food is really fantastic, highlights from my visits have been the gnocchi and the vego avo smash. Heaps of vegetarian options and gluten free bread available. Loads of little cakes and treats, with a decent GF selection, all of which have been delicious so far. Inside can get a bit noisy sometimes as it's in a warehouse but outside is lovely with a cute little garden, no street noise, plenty of space and undercover for those sunny days. Highly recommend you check this place out if you're looking to rest and caffeinate around 3810 ☺️

Had lunch on a Sunday, was busy inside, but nothing to excuse the service we received. If they were being slammed I would understand but they was not the case. Table of 4 with a pram, they did great accommodating us, as we requested to move from a square table of four to a larger table where the pram could be parked on the side. Service was very very slow, ordered drinks and they got the drinks wrong so we had to send them back. Took a while for them to come take our food order, when they came to take it we informed them of the issues with the drinks and went to order food as thats why they'd come to our table, but the waitress said she had to do something first and she'd be back? 5 minutes later someone else came back to take our order. Food was average. Gnocchi was dry and lacking flavour. Honestly it was just an average lunch, wouldn't recommend, and wouldn't go back. Meh.

Lovely place. We sat outside for lunch and had the chicken burger and gnocchi with a side of fries and beers. The food was quite good and reasonably priced for the sizes. Staff were friendly and efficient. I would recommend this place to eat and the pottery store inside has a lot of great things.

Vegetarian options
Quite a few vegetarian options. One of our meals was vegetarian and lovely, and noticed more good options on the menu.
Parking
Easy to spot parking with ample spots. We went on a sunny Sunday so it was quite busy but plenty of spaces.
Kid-friendliness
There were kids here at the time, plenty of menu options for them and if you sit outside it's not too noisy for them.
Wheelchair accessibility
It is wheelchair accessible as it's on the ground floor with no steps.

Food and coffee was good, lots of mushrooms in the mushroom ragout toastie! Service was prompt, helpful but odd. They asked us to pay before we got our meals and I suggested we may want to order more after our food arrived like a take away coffee and I said could we pay at the end but was requested to pay then and there. Also if I didn't like my food when I received it or it was wrong to bad I'd already paid. The table next to us had ordered and been over charged once they paid and got their meals... Maybe they have people order and leave without paying her that makes sense it was just slightly uncomfortable to pay when we did as I hadn't finished my order for the meal.. The atmosphere was fantastic! Really loved the pottery and pottery classes available what an amazing idea, lots of buzz about so nice to see and hear. Also a dog friendly outdoor area! A+

Beautiful place to sit and eat at, or to shop for pottery, or to just grab a takeaway coffee. All of the staff are wonderful people and the food is delicious. Their coffee blend is great and they sell the beans if you so desire. I come here for coffee all the time but only recently ate here and the food was great, serving sizes are generous. I highly recommend the Benny if you like pork.

Beautiful place and the staff are prompt and very friendly. Food was wayyyyyy over priced but that seems to be the norm. Eggs Benny read really well on paper but it was basically shredded pork meat loaf with eggs and hollandaise. Steak sandwich was lovely though. Very hit and miss depending on what you order. Food came out reasonably fast as well so the kitchen were working hard. Can't compliment the staff enough though.

We visited this morning for breakfast for our friends birthday. It was our first time visiting the cafe. I'm extremely disappointed with the service provided from one of the staff members, and manager! There was an issue with our order and when paying the staff member (Ben) serving us was extremely rude. I really didn’t appreciate the attitude and smart arse remarks from him. I then asked to speak to the manager to provide feedback regarding the situation and she replied with “that’s just his banter”. I believe they both could have dealt with the situation a lot better then they did! We didn’t love the food (eggs) but the coffee was nice.

Came in on Tuesday for brunch around 11am for the first time, 2 of us plus our 2 girls, the lady serving us said it was her first day and had only started an hour ago and to bare with her but she was absolutely fantastic, we had a pretty complicated order with a fair amount of changes and add ons with fussy kids and fussy mums lol, and it all came out fast and perfect, she made a point to talk to the kids which made them feel super important and gave them some colouring in, did not seem like she had only been there a hour, the food was great and fresh and the coffee was fabulous everything came out in great time and she came to check everything was good,We will definitely be back.

Great food and atmosphere. We had the sweet potato croquettes and they were nice. However, we waited too long for someone to get our order. We tried ordering at the front counter but they were too busy to entertain us. For drinks, I ordered MATCHA Latte and the lady had me repeated and said "what's that" in a not so nice tone. I pointed it on the menu and she said "sorry I'm learning all these". I understand she might be new but isn't the menu one of the main things you need to learn first? She made me feel uncomfortable with the way she look at me and asked what I was talking about.

Found this little gem from Google & decided to give it a try for lunch with the folks. Wow! Besides a carpark that was a tad muddy (luckily the oldies had a sealed disabled car spot), Nancy's was a very cool & hip venue. The food was top notch and we all enjoyed it. There's lots of options including a vegan menu. It would be ideal to have more bread options (prefer wholemeal etc) but the pumpkin sourdough was nice. FYI - the hashbrowns are chunky! The waitresses were lovely and credit needs to be given to the kitchen staff for producing such top quality food in good time. I'd recommend booking as it was busy. And if you love pottery, you'll love the shop too.

Nice, basic food. Was nice to have a look around and grab brunch. I had eggs and bacon on sourdough with smashed avo. Disappointed the avo was literally just squished fresh avocado, rather than having feta or something smashed into it, which I kind of thought it might be as there were two options on the menu, fresh avo and smashed avo... didn't think they literally just squish the fresh avo as give it a different name All in all, we all still enjoyed our brunch... we all had eggs done differently, maybe next time, I'll try the Rhubarb crumpets instead.

Very pricey for breakfast or lunch. $22 for a simple burger and you have to add on chips for $4. Ham and cheese croissant for $15.5? We waited more than 30 minutes for our food. Brekky burger, beef dip roll, Mediterranean focaccia and toast with scrambled eggs. Simple taste with no real effort, focaccia wasnt even toasted. Very simple dishes but paid $77 with no drinks. The person at the till very unfriendly not even a hello or thank you and he was the same person rolling his eyes at us each time our toddler would make a sound. Poor experience and I do not recommend. Ah and charging a service fee even though I inserted my card and selected savings account.

Situated in Robert Gordon’s outlet in Pakenham, you can experience first hand using the beautiful crockery at Nancy Eatery. The menu has a good balance of basic cafe food and also some exciting choices like smoothie bowls, specialty lattes and french toast. What really left and impression on me was the hospitable and friendly staff. From booking a table over the phone to when we arrived to the table service and payment, staff were attentive and helpful. You can also have a browse of the merchandise before or after your meal. There is ample seats outdoors too, as well as a vast parking area to accommodate everyone. Lovely place for a local day out.

I was asked to pick up two plates from this pottery place in Pakenham, (80 km round trip). I was rolling my eyes (and grumbling) as I drove in the gates. To my surprise, there is a nice eating place (Nancy Eatery) attached to the Pottery Showroom. Everything is very good | 5 stars | Coffee - and the two plates we ordered. Dressing in the Healthy Bowl is very tasty. Another plate we had, (cannot remember name). I'll describe it | Poached egg yolk, sitting on top of pulled beef(?) sitting on a bed of rosti (potato). This is also Good. Highly recommended. To round it all off. The service is Excellent..

This cafe is joined with Robert Gordon pottery which makes for a brilliant afternoon/morning out. Parking is abundant. Both the indoor and outdoor seating is a great option, with the staff providing blankets and heating on cold days for outdoors which is great. The staff are very helpful and management are quick to jump on any allergy issues. Their menu is flawless for dietary requirements with key dishes being gluten free and even vegetarian.

Had the pleasure at dining at Nancy this past weekend, and it did not disappoint! My partner and I had the baked gnocchi (the brie bechamel is to die for!) and the braised brisket benny which was also delicious - so tender. Coffee was also fantastic - we actually bought some beans on our way out for home. The barista helped us choose them, who was very knowledgable and enthusiastic. Service was attentive and warm. Will be back

Nice quaint little place, although, a little bit loud for me.. music but loud and frequent smashing sounds of pottery. Menu looked great and was hard choosing what to have. Ended up with pumpkin/vegan feta toastie even though not a vegan. I loved the pumpkin, not keen on the cheese.. however, they are pre-made so can't change cheese. Next time, will sit outside and have the pulled pork toastie!! Will come again.

Happy with the food everytime. But their secret menu item, French toast still eludes me :( Suggest making a reservation as the place fills up very fast, especially if you're looking at a weekend seating. Atmosphere, it's a busy cafe and don't be expecting a quiet romantic seating nevertheless the staff are plenty friendly and I've never felt rushed. Enjoy.

We were waiting for food for 40 minutes, when it finally came it was lukewarm at the hottest. Chips were all cold and eggs were cold. Two people had a pulled pork burger each, and both were disgusting. One burger was gluten free and the bun was caved out. The meat on both burgers was not pork, it smelt and tasted like off tuna. Won't be coming again. Photo of burger.

Shocking experience from them. Waiter forgot to put our order through kitchen. We where sitting forty minutes at the table and nobody acknowledged us and when we finally asked what happen to our food he said I forgot. The manager apologised but she could have done better. It was her job to supervise the new staff team member and it was her job to try to calm the upset customers and make up for their mistake.

Loved everything about this place. The dedicated vegan menu, the small dishes instead of a regular brunch plate, the drinks list and the pottery outlet right next door! We had the brisket toasted sandwich and the sweet potato nachos with brisket. What can we say? The brisket is 20/10!! When we arrived, we were told that there was a wait for food but it wasn't too long and everything came together.

The food here was good, but we had to wait 50 minutes for scrambled egg on toast. 2 customers who sat on the table next to us came in after us, recieved their food first, and got their coffees on the house as they were waiting a while also. We were waiting longer and didn't get such an offer, which unfortunately puts us off going again anytime soon. The menu is good, staff are pleasant, but our experience wasn't very enjoyable unfortunately

  • Jay Ong

Had a great time here. Even though it was busy and we rocked up without a booking, they were quick to accommodate us and we didn't have to wait long. Servings were generous, I had the loaded nachos which could realistically have been a shared dish, especially when you add the brisket. Coffee was also good, and they come in these cute little ceramic mugs that you can purchase next door in the Robert Gordon showroom. A real gem in Pakenham.

Came here a year and a half ago and loved it, but today we got t/a two coffees and the coffee was not only burnt, but we couldn’t drink them for at least 7 minutes as they were far too hot. It was already a destination to go to the Robert Gordon Pottery Outlet, but now that I don't live so locally, I now have two reasons to go here. Shopping and food! A great range of sweets if you just want a cuppa with a friend, but also a delicious range of savoury and sweet options to choose from off the menu too, even some goodies for kids. Burger and corn fritters were delicious!

  • Gazielle

Friendly staff and some good food options. Service is prompt and it was a good atmosphere when I went. A postive buzz around the place and seemed like a very family friendly location. Pleasant atmosphere. Delightful food. Exquisite coffee, made my soy latte, luke warm(41.5'C), weak with 2 Equals, too perfection. I had the beef burger, and it was exceptional. My partner had the roast pumpkin and feta toastie. I had some it was incredibly flavoursome. Not the cheapest place that I have had lunch, but certainly worth. Highly recommended.

Called to check Robert Gordon opening hours and book a class and option 2, which normally goes to the showroom went to the cafe and the woman I spoke to at the cafe told me she couldn't transfer me and that I had 'messed up' and then hung up on me. So rude. Emailed to book in the end and was told there had been some telecom issues. Won't eat here.

Delicious brunch menu: the fritters and the potato hash were fantastic. There was quite a wait for food the day we went, but they were particularly busy with a sale at Robert Gordon, so this may not be a problem on a regular weekend.

Nancy cafe has it all. Lovely staff, delicious meals and beautiful ambiance. They were more than happy to accomodate for my group booking and accessibility requirements. This place is worth the day trip - if you’re a local, you’re so lucky to be Nancy’s neighbour!

The food, coffee and tea with honey on a cold and rainy day with heaters going outside as well as blankets being available for that extra warmth was just what we needed on Sunday lunch with our dogs. Delicious!!! sprinkled with some Robert Gordon pottery shopping.

We ordered the Benny and it was actually disgusting, the pork tasted like it came from the rear end of the pig and super overpriced to top it off. Coffee was nice I’ll give them that! Won’t be going back

Very poor customer service. We ordered food and were waiting for 50 minutes. when we were following up our orders, they said that they forgot to place our order. Shamefully, manager wasn’t accountable for their staff mistakes and had no sense of being sorry. Disappointing.

During lockdown: Decent coffee, friendly staff, yummy mushroom toastie as a take away. Quiet little area and looking forward to being able have a browse and make a plate or two once lockdown ends. Dine-In: Missing the yummy mushroom toastie, but new favorite is the Health Bowl. Also still enjoying the coffee.

  • Hai Nguyen

Good food. Okay atmosphere, nothing fancy. Service a bit slow. Coffee was fine, have to pay a premium for their better beans, which they had a wide selection of. I wouldn't come here specifically for this branch place, only there cause of the pottery.

Nancy provides good coffee using Industry Beans and they sell an amazing pumpkin toastie that I got as takeaway - it was delicious! Friendly staff and great customer service. Perfect opportunity to order and continue browsing the Robert Gordon outlet until it’s ready.

  • Robin Lee

Love the space, the food and the vibe. We had the AMAZING sweet potato nachos and the gnocchi with chicken. They initially forgot the chicken, but responded really well and had it out to us in no time at all. Lovely staff! Overall, more than happy to head back again!

  • A. L

They have the cutest babycino!! We ordered The Benny, and it was delicious! Beef brisket was very tender and full of flavour, perfectly match with corn purée. Coffee was very well made too~ will try their cakes next time, cuz they looked amazing in the window!

  • Mark Yee

After the cafe rebranded, they've been serving better food. Pastries here are abundant and coffee served is good. Industry beans are used. I can't remember the exact details but there was a roasted pumpkin sandwich which was excellent. Will definitely be back.

Unique spot, filling a niche so sadly missed ….around pakenham. Food is fresh, tasty and special. The only critique I can give is the staff, they need more training on customer focused services. Having said that the manager is lovely …

Thank you for a wonderfully cooked brunch. We shared Carrot Cake inspired French toast and the Blue cheese beef burger. Absolutely perfect. 10/10. We sat outside undercover and enjoyed a coffee too. Worth the drive and will be back again.

  • Courtney Foura

Coffee was great. Food was a bit disappointing. Hollandaise sauce overrun by the taste of burnt butter. The Bennie wasn’t great, seemed a small serve and the potato hash wasn’t cooked and pressed pork was yuck.

The staff went over and above to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Food choices were just divine, I mean who can pass up the rosemary and sea salt hot chips, yum and a beautifully presented coffee. …

  • Linda Jones

The food was ok but being on a fodmap diet and not being able to eat most thinking . Didn't like how thay cleaned the chairs then wipe the table over with the same cloth . But otherwise a good place to eat .

  • Aaron McKenna

Great environment and location. Service is good. Ordered their healthy bowl, however something in there seemed off, probably the ingredient to bind all the items was sour or zesty. Coffee was good.
