This community center and park has a lot to offer! Indoor and outdoor basketball, a playground and a great skate park designed by the legendary Wally Hollyday (Upland Pipeline, Lakewood, etc...) and constructed by Streamline General Contractors. It has a good selection of terrain for most every skater. You need to visit!

Decent skatepark because that is the only one In Charlotte. the elbow and knee pads are required plus a helmet. I’m fine with the helmet policy but not the pads. Also the front desk is rude and impatient. Also have called them several times and Vick is very rude. He doesn’t even say goodbye. I think his name is Vick.

Little girls bathroom door propped open . Went to use restroom (during closed hours) and a coach standing within 6 ft of the bathroom doorway didn’t move when he saw me and my baby enter the bathroom . I also struggled to close the door and

charging to skate a public skatepark? this completely defeats the purpose of having a skatepark in the community to begin with. this really could be a positive outlet for youth, it could bring people from all over to engage in an activity

Horrible skatepark everyone there is a ass to new skaters I called before we got here to ask if there's anything we need to no but the lady just said to come on down so when we got there she said we need pads and a helmet wasted 8 dollars

Well 2 months ago I came to this skatepark expecting to have fun at my first time at a skatepark, unfortunately they were closed and said they weren’t opening back up until phase 3, today is the start of phase 3 at 5pm. I will go to this

Fun park for my 8 year-old son. We ended up there on a fairly busy day and the staff were great and all the other kids there were very behaved and nice. There were some sketchy people in other areas of the complex, like the man walking

Decent park but nothing scenic or unique enough about it to justify the $8 cover and full pads rule which is why everyone seems to prefer the eastland diy skate park instead. Even I spent less time here than there since I felt like I'd

I use the space for outdoor basketball. The courts are decent, but the concrete is cracked in places. I believe the park is getting a facelift with grant money from some organization so I expect the courts will look a lot nicer soon.

Skate park is fun and ever child is safe they all have pads and the staff checks on them every now and again and u don't have to scare u can chill and just cool off play basketball and stuff pretty fun

  • Kris Gaston

Great skate park.... Needs more police patrol since it is literally a block from the police station. Stop covering Cotswold, Elizabeth, and Myers Park for a min and protect this great community center

  • Justin Klaus

Great concrete park! Great transitions! It has street and vert elements. The bowl has a six foot end and a 10.5 foot deep end, with tile and pool coping. You have to wear pads, but it's well worth it!

A nice complex where kids or adults can find a baseball field, a skateboard area to use and a building that has a gymnasium for indoor activities located on Beal st. Off of Wendover road. Katie Brett

This park is terrible and gives much hate. The only riders are skateboarder and biker or bmxers. No scooter or rollerblades. Don't even bother to look at them if you are a rider that is not accepted

  • nigia stevens

This place is racist! If you’re a black child who loves to skate you’re not safe here!! I’m contacting the news about what happened here today the staff should be ashamed of yourselves.

The facility is like new, inside & out. Large Basketball gym inside and large matted court outside; add a large Tennis court, huge awesome Skate park plus a children's playground.

  • John Sawyer

Poor neighborhood, but a good skate park. I've been in the rec center there several times, and it was pretty nice. Fields are reasonably well-kept. Decent city park...

  • plette simmons

Nice place though the it close at 5 but you have people renting the tented area and they cut the power off and Lol lol lol you have to use the woods to urinated

  • Troy Rolan

Good park for a beginner. Has skate camps and BMX only day on Sunday. Mostly catered to skaters but at least they let us BMX guys on unlike most others.

  • UprisingRevolt

Shouldn't make you have to wear pads unless you want to staff is terribly mean and inconsiderate. And overall not a really good park wouldn't recommend

  • noah richardson

Nice skate park but not allowed to go in with out mask, helmet, elbow and knee pads and signing a waver didn't get to go in but it looks very fun …

  • Aiden Domingo

The park has you wear a ton of gear that isn’t on the website would not recommend unless you have elbow and knee pads. It’s also very compact.

  • Carol Thornton

Great transition park, great bowl. Combi - Wally Holiday design! Pads and helmet required. Waiver. Fee required. The website has all info.

  • Brendan Brown

I gave this place 5 stars for the bowl. Pretty wack you have to pay to skate though. Skateboarding at your local park should be free!

  • The One
