It's sad when you have someone that wants to post false reviews about the Nashville City Kitchen Juneteenth Celebration in the parking lot for the community. This was a Beautiful event, not just for the black community but for different ethnicity. The 1st act was singing about the Union and the second act talking/singing about Voting. My husband and I was in the front row and not once did Ms Dee become rude (she is not the owner). The 3rd and last act DID Perform in Spanish. Ms Dee politely waited until they finish the first song, and got up on stage and spoke, she was not rude, didn't say anything about 'this was not an event for the Hispanics'. Higher Ground ( Ms Dee is the lead singer) had only an hour to perform due to 10pm Noise Ordinance Law. Ms Dee pointed out that "'we came to hear Higher Ground and Higher Ground is what we are going to hear" yes she said A cuss word, So what, it wasn't in reference to the last act. So please, if you're going to post negative reviews, be honest about it, don't try to discredit someone character and especially the Business they work for with lies. I enjoyed myself, I danced, laughed. I hope Nashville City Kitchen has another event like this.

Visited Nashville City Kitchen for the first time on 17 Nov 2022. Upon entering the restaurant, I felt at ease as my friends and I were greeted with a smile. The atmosphere was very inviting. It was great to be in a place where I didn't feel unsafe, or as though I needed to continuously be looking over my shoulder. Our server, Ms. Red, was absolutely amazing! Her demeanor and customer service skills are second to none. She covered the menu with us, even making recommendations. She was very attentive to our needs, and took great care of us all night, always with patience and a smile. Thank you Ms. Red! We ordered chicken, the whiting fish sandwich, and the pork chop sandwich along with fries and drinks. The food was outstanding... right taste, right flavor, right temperature, etc. I will definitely be returning, and have already recommended Nashville City Kitchen to other friends and family. This place is so awesome. Great Staff, Awesome Vibe, Fun Fun Fun and the Food was amazing. I've been in Nashville 5 years and this is by far the best Catfish and chicken that I have tried. Everything was so fresh and came out Hot. We also played Bingo and my daughter won. We went on a Wednesday night and the crowd was good. Everyone there only wanted to have a good time. They have karaoke and ladies night on Thursdays and space for entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays. Just stop and get you some food. You will love the ambiance and people. The Beautiful and Sexy Red was our waitress and she was awesome. The owner is so interactive and nice. We will be back and I am a regular even if it's just to pick up the best fish in Middle TN.

Best hidden jem. If you need at night food fix, this is place for you. Amazing service, they are very helpful for vistors from out of state. ♡ Chicken was so yummy. They are a must (stop by), while in town, they will fix you up. Perfect for group 20 or just a few friends, or couple just wanting late night food fix, this is the place for you. Comfortable seats. They offer drinks, if you want to relax, or just enjoy a soda. Can't leave a 5 Star review but not totally disappointed in my first visit. Ordered a Togo order and waited in the restaurant. I ordered the motherclucker chicken sandwich with fries and fried okra. It seemed to take too long to get my food when it came to the table decided that I had enough time to just eat in. Fries and okra were not hot but flavor was good. Chicken sandwich was good but not food hot but the spice level was good. I think they just forgot to bring it out when it was ready which is why it came out cold.$33.00 for this one order with a soda to drink with tip. This place is always packed it was obvious that the bar is the star as the drinks looked amazing.

Dining at Nashville City Kitchen wasn't just eating food. It was a wholesome experience being treated like a family member. The hostess and a couple of servers frequently checked in on us, asking if everything was alright, while we enjoyed the best wings we had in our lives so far. Everyone in the restaurant including the guests looked genuinely happy and it felt a bit like home in a different country. If our stay at Nashville was longer, we would definitely come back another time and I can wholeheartedly recommend Nashville City Kitchen to anyone looking for an amazing evening. Excellent food for that I give it 5 stars. But there was a major issue. Decided to walk to Nashville City Kitchen from the truck stop to get a to go order. On Thursday 9/29/22 They were very busy place was full and lots of music and laughter. I asked to place a to go order and they directed me where to go. The server was helpful and got my order in promptly. After waiting for my food headed back to the truck. There I discovered that the fried green beans I had ordered was not in my bags. I decided not to walk back to try and solve the issue. My advice if you order Togo make sure you have everything before you leave. Other than the missing green beans food was good server was pleasant and helpful. I will go back if I am in the area just not sure if I would do take out...

This is by far the worst place I’ve ever been to in Nashville and I’m a native. Where do I start? I got there at 7pm ordered my food on my phone with the QR code. I waited over an hour for my food & my soda. I had to literally stand there & beg! Then when I got it was wrong. This establishment is so unorganized and poorly managed I couldn’t even find a manager to help. The women who work at the bar are horrible. They literally will ignore you if you don’t have a beard! One of the food items I ordered was sold out. I couldn’t get anyone to void it off my ticket. They literally kept passing me around until I eventually gave up. So I paid for items I didn’t even receive. I will never support this business & I will make sure I warn people about the terrible service!

Nashville city kitchen has went downhill, I went on ladies night to unwind. I sit for over 45min waiting on a waitress, I got up and went to the bar and the young lady told they didn’t tell you that you had to use n app cause we don’t have staff. I went ahead and ordered drinks and food hoping that it would turn out great but I waited an hour to receive food. The only reason I got food was because I went and waited at the bar which is ridiculous . My drinks tasted like juice and when I said something to the lady at the bar who made the drinks she said she forgot to add alcohol.I asked for a manger and still haven’t seen one, please save your time before going to this place.Beware is all I’m saying

I just wanna say wow!! This place is great!! I'm an over the road truck driver and stopped in looking for something other then the same old truck stop food and found this place and decided to give it a try. After I seen the reviews I had to try it for myself and I must say the food is awesome!!! Garlic parmesan shrimp and lemon pepper catfish bits was on spot !! My server KEANNA was awesome and took great care of me thank you again!! I'll definitely be back to this hidden gem!! Very friendly staff and they make you feel welcome good good everyone!!

Our group went to the restaurant 40 minutes before they closed after we had just got there. The were more than welcoming to have us there and provided great service and hospitality. This is the definition of southern hospitality. On top of the service the food was amazing the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. Overall the experience was a 10 out of 10 and I will recommend this place to anyone going to the nashville area. Our server was lively and a joy to be around. My time there was spectacular!! Taylor made my supper a great experience, making me feel like family. The chicken and waffles were amazing!! I'd never had waffles with the sweet crunch on the exterior of those waffles. While I was not expecting the syrup to be warmed, but it was fantastic! The chicken was the only thing to complain about at all, being slightly tough to cut with just the fork unless you cut it just right. But the LBT toss on it was a beautiful combo. Just wish I knew what LBT stood for.

I visited Nashville for the summer because my husband works here, and this hidden gem did not disappoint. It’s become my favorite place in Nashville to eat, especially Thursday for Karaoke. My sister and I came here within our first two hours in Nashville. It did NOT disappoint. We had the mac n cheese bites. SO GOOD! I got the hot chicken mac which I highly recommend if you like chicken and mac n cheese. Mmmm! My sister got the mothercluckin chicken and loved it as well. We also got fries and the waffle ice cream which were great as well. The owners are such nice people. Definitely stop by and say hello while you eat. This is worth a trip!!

My crew and I had lunch here since we are working nearby. Wow! I’ve told everyone that the lemon pepper chicken was the best I’ve ever had. They were still working to get moved in when we were there, but the place was clean, the food was way above average, and the staff was beyond friendly. Nicest people I’ve met in awhile. Right across from the TA truckstop I. Nashville lies a new gem. I wasn't sure but tried it and damn I am glad I did. It's located in the old Shoneys and recently opened. Had the fried Mac and Gouda bites and could have eaten them All nite. Then had the gumbo...as good or better than any I have had in New Orleans or anywhere else for that matter. This will be on my must stop when I am in town list. Exceptional food and service great atmosphere!!!!

We happened across this new restaurant after our long drive to Nashville, and it couldn’t have been a more warm welcome to the city. The hot chicken-mac&cheese bowl was *amazing* and the catfish nuggets were the best I’ve had in a long time. I don't usually right reviews but this place deserves it. The restaurant was in its opening stages when we ate there, but it was clean, comfortable and well decorated. I personally got the catfish sandwich, and it was probably the best catfish I've had in years and the fried pickles were great. If your looking for a spot to get some good food, definitely come here. My only complaint is they didn't have sweet tea

Stopped in with my family. Everything was great! 1/2 price drink special was on. Laid back. Great location. I am here almost every Wednesday(Bingo), Thursday(Ladies night). The atmosphere is cool even when it is slow. Great staff, that make female customers feel comfortable and protected, which is the reason I come back so often. Happy hour Monday-Saturday until 7p with great food as well. Try the bushwacker "chocolate pina colada"!!

The air conditioner was not working and it was hot as hell in there I have asthma and couldn't breathe. The food server was rude to the kids and they ran out of food for a football banquet. It was a horrible experience

Great customer service. I mean really great. The margarita was very tasty. We had to wait for our food for about 35 min, but the waitress apologized and told us the were short staffed in the kitchen. Incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in and through the whole meal! Our over tired party of nine (5 kids!) found a relaxed atmosphere and some great food. Chicken and waffles were a big hit with our crew

This place is amazing! It's a hidden gem I'm downtown Nashville close to Nissan Stadium. The food was perfect and the staff super friendly. I highly recommend the chocolate chip waffle with ice cream for dessert!

Amazing buffet!! Comfort food is an understatement. The catfish and BBQ chicken were amazing!!! The Gumbo was on point also. Two for one before 7 drinks!!! A new destination for our pre concert dinners.

OMG...Stop! You will be in for a treat! Lots of stars for our server, Sam!! She didn't steer us wrong!! The chicken mac was awesome! Catfish and white beans n slaw also great! Would definitely repeat!!

They still had Shoneys sign still up and we thought it was. Went in to use restrooms. They were clean, but we decided it wasn't the dining experience we were looking for and didn't dine there.

À la carte type menu. My kids had Chicken Bites and fry’s. Came with 8 bites. They said it was real good. I had pork chop sandwich,it came with two chops. Very good service,attentive

The best Mac and cheese mixtures you can get in Tennessee. Whether you get the chicken, catfish, or shrimp mac&cheese, it's all delicious. I am a regular here at this point!

The place was okay. Waited almost a hour for somebody to come take my order and Waited a long time for my food . They were just passing out more drinks then actual food.

I wanted to like this place because the staff was friendly. But, the food and pricing just killed it for me. I've never had catfish that bad. I do hope it gets better.

I enjoyed there but they are working out the kinks, I guess. Their menu wasn't the same as the menu when I 1st went there. But whatever I ate has been good.

The lady name Red is such a sweetheart she made my drinks and I'm so happy we met I'm in vacation from Portland Oregon and she has made my night

We are pleased with the restaurant as we currently are located on the Food Truck there. It's a great place and the staff is wonderful.

Got here at 4pm, it’s 4:21 and they haven’t opened. They said they would be ready in a few minutes 15 minutes ago. Ridiculous

A little wait but the food was excellent! Run don’t walk and try this place out you won’t be sorry! Yummy!
