There were multiple problems with North American moving services: 1. The driver disassembled several furniture items that were not meant to be disassembled and delivered furniture in a shuttle U-HAUL truck. The street could accommodate a full size moving van. 2. There was significant damage to several pieces of furniture. Not all boxes have been unpacked as of the time of this review. 3. Not all items were delivered in the shuttle and a second trip had to be made to pick up items left on the full size North American moving van. 4. Joseph Carver, driver, was dismissive to the damage to the furniture. He never apologized or acknowledged the reckless actions. 5. Some items were not accounted for and I had to insist that the checklist sheet was completed prior to the crew leaving. Mr. Carter’s reply, “There all here.” 6. I had to insist all items were reassembled. I was given push back for items not reassembled properly. 7. With the exception of one crew member, the other crew members were unprofessional and displayed a poor attitude. The company sales rep. and coordinator responded to my complaints with an apology . An excuse was made for the U-HAUL truck as a shuttle in spite of ample room on the street. I had a full size moving van, from another moving company, on my street from a previous move and there was no problem. A claim form was sent, but this won’t fix the significant damage to existing furniture. My recommendation: DO NOT use this moving service. Why? They hire careless and unprofessional drivers and contractors.

We were moving from Phoenix to O'Fallon IL and I sought quotes from several companies. I chose North American Van Lines because John Rinaldo with Beltmann Relocation Group came out and estimated our weight at 16000 lbs. The other companies guessed 20K, but I was confident based on our prior move 2 years ago that we had not increased our 15800 weight all the much. 2 days before move day I paid the moving cost with 2 credit cards. Our driver Chris messaged me to ask if 6 am was okay to arrive. Replied affirmatively. Move day came and we had our Driver Chris, plus 5 other movers. Chris was awesome, and said "no problem" no matter what I showed him had to be moved. They all worked hard and arrived at 6 am and left around 3. Chris let me know the delivery date would be 8 days later. And our weight was 16112 lbs, so John was so close! He arrived at 8 am at our new house with one other mover, 2 more showed up later. They worked diligently. My absolutely only complaint was that the tall mover stacked boxes too high in the master. I was able to get them down with a stepladder but someone else might struggle more than I did. Chris let the others leave around 4 after all the beds were set up. Chris stayed til 6 assembling desks. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend North American and Beltmann Relocation Group.

The movers, both in Arizona and Oregon were terrific. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I feel the communication with the office could have been better. On the front end leading up to the move communication was good, but on the other end once I set the delivery process in motion I would have been completely in the dark about what was happening if I didn't reach out. I understood that the company needed 10 days notice to start the process and that I would have a delivery window of (I believe) 8 days after that. Moving 1200 miles away while trying to plan around an 18 day window without some proactive updates adds stress to what is an already stressful situation. The movers were efficient, friendly, professional and careful with our furniture

The team that loaded us up in AZ were great. The team that unloaded us in MO was not so good. The truck driver and the African Americans were great. Helpful, courtesy and mindful of the walls, etc. The two other guys, Bill and Josh (?) were not. Bill was rude and ignorant. Boxes marked fragile were handled with out regard. Josh had no regard for the walls. Several times he marked up the walls with the dolly. One time boxes fell off of the dolly and rolled down the stairs. Josh would scratch his sweaty back by rubbing his back against door jams. We have utilized movers over a dozen times and have used North American at least 3 or 4 times without issue.

Jillian Rosati is the agent who assisted me to set up my move and changes as we proceeded. Sadly my house did not sell as expected and I had to cancel the move. Jillian was more than professional...she was caring and knowledgable and showed that she truly cares that her clients receive the help and assistance they need thru every step. When I didn't know how to get a refund on the cancelled move she kindly stepped in and I was called within two hours and the refund was expedited. Jillian is the kind of customer service agent we all dream of and wish for and I would go back to AVL if only for her service. Would give her 10 stars if review allowed.

All-in-All this was a Great Experience, Super Friendly & Professional Service. Only hiccups were the delivery time frame was missed by 3 Days and there wasn’t any notification prior. Yet, upon reaching out to my coordinator, I received a response within 24 hours with a New ETA and driver contact info. This could have been a huge inconvenience but, fortunately I have the flexibility at work to switch out my planned time off in order to be at home for the delivery. Upon delivery, the guys were quick and worked hard to get everything unloaded on 3rd floor 2 bedroom Apt (without elevator) in under 3 hours.

As an older, retired couple these movers were incredible! John and Karen were very accommodating and helpful. Paul, our driver, was just the best! He stayed in touch and arrived at both ends of our move on time. He was very professional and friendly! The crews in Arizona and Iowa were amazing! Very courteous and hard-working! We felt that everyone we worked with wanted us to have the best moving experience and they definitely delivered. All of our belongings arrived just as we packed them. No breakage or anything missing! We strongly recommend! Thank you to all for your fantastic work!!

This was my first cross country move and I'm pretty happy I chose these guys to help. They did seem a bit pricier than some other companies but I didn't have much time and overall they had good reviews. Everything from the inventory quote to receiving our stuff went without any issues. I did have to follow up a few times to find out some specifics about delivery times and such but that wasn't a problem. I feel like people post their negative reviews more than positive ones so I wanted to add to the good reviews here for anyone considering North American Van Lines.

My Mom recently moved from Phoenix to South Carolina. She had the good fortune to hire North American Van Lines/Beltman relocation group. They were all fantastic!! I was so delighted to hear about how everyone went above and beyond for her every step of the way! I met Carmen, Ron, and Alvin when they arrived here in South Carolina and was exceptionally pleased with the care, courtesy, respect, and friendliness they showed to my Mother and her belongings. They know what they're doing. Very thorough in wrapping everything in our house. They took apart everything, and when we moved into our new house, they put it back together. The guys were careful and actually cared about making sure your things were protected. If you want it done right, do NOT hesitate to hire them to move your stuff. You will not be disappointed. It's a little on the pricey side, but well worth the money during the stressful time of moving. Thank you so much!

The drivers park their rigs on a private street next to a courthouse forcing taxpayer's money to be spend having to put up signs when they have been offered a suitable area to park with the same access and only yards away. NorthAmerican has not responded to e-mails or phone calls. Extremely unprofessional and the drive is very rude and understands he is causing our tax dollars to be spend because of him. He drives different cabs but the same driver keeps forcing this issue.

Interviewed 8 moving companies, and NA felt by far the best and safest - not to add upcharges, not to lose our goods and not damage anything. All came true and more… no upcharges (we paid what they estimated), it arrived (the said when they’d be there, and they arrived 5 minutes early), and no damage (literally none - how does that happen?). Professional, experienced and capable… couldn’t have been happier. Highly recommended.

North American Van Lines went above and beyond to meet my expectations to deliver my vehicle from Phoenix to Indianapolis. The quote was reasonable and the moving coordinator answered my questions very well. I do recommend anyone using their services to ship furniture or a vehicle to buy air tags to track your items. I had a better idea where my belongings were throughout the entire transaction.

We moved cross country from WA to AZ and the driver we had Neil Thorne broke our stuff, told us he would pay for it and never did. $500 bicycle broken & can’t be fixed. Don’t trust this driver! He seemed like a great person but he just lied to my face and ghosted me when I asked about the money or if he was going to replace it.
