Dog got surgery to remove a cyst a year ago, and his leg is still not healed. I have been through a revolving door of vets here that never take the time to look over his health history. Feels like they are chronically understaffed, and most vets there treat everyone like a revolving factory system where they prioritize speed over care. Super frustrated with this clinic and their veterinarians with one exception, Dr. Allmendinger. She took the time to thoroughly go through his health history and was willing to prescribe antibiotics and steriods when other vets wanted to pawn us off to a dermatologist (we have already seen a dermatologist...something i had to remind all the other vets nearly every time we saw them.) I wont see any other vet there any more. All the other vets dropped the ball and dont want to take any responsibility for the poor care of my dog. He should have had a biopsy on his unresponsive wound months ago. They shouldn't have taken this long to get him on steriods and prozac to control his out of controll licking of his wound. Previous vets would stop his antibiotics...only for him to get reinfected and have to be back on them a few weeks later. The front desk staff are great, 5 for them. Dr. Allmendinger is great, 5 for her. All the other vets were disappointing, to say the least. 1 for them. The practice having vet techs take notes and then me having to reexplain everything to the vet, only for the vet to not take the time to check his health history...yeah, they get a 1 for that. Things get missed with this flawed system, regardless how standard it may be. The vet techs get a 4, most have been great, one or two seem uninterested, exhausted, or just spent. Never got their names and they seem to change a lot. They should hire more staff (more vets) so the vets can take the time to fully assess pets that have out of the ordinary health issues. Unfortunately, this is something we see happening in human healthcare, too, so i think it's become standard of care these days. It's still not acceptable to me, especially considering how much money we have dropped on this clinic. Overall, i give the practice a 3 total. None of this was a miscommunication, it was simply poor performance by vets, with one exception, Dr. Allmendinger. She actually took the time to consult with a dermatologist, rather than pawn that off on my wife and i, and so we would have to go through the hassel of miscommunication between clinics. Nothing sucks more than playing the middle person between 2 healthcare practitioners (I'm a nutritionist. I know how lazy and elitist many doctors can be.) We were seriouworried we would have to put our dog down because of this issue, and all the other vets didn't seem interested enough to be bothered. Not Dr. Allmendinger. She went above and beyond. I previously gave the clinic a 1. After some thought about the front desk staff and Dr. Allmendinger, i thought it was prudent to tell more of the story. And change my rating to a 3. The clinic should spend more time on caring for pets and worry less about their google reviews.

All the staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Neer takes excellent care of my cat. The clinic even adopted a foster cat I had who was going to be put down and gave him a loving home until he passed away. Dr. Neer always trusted me to be a part of my cat’s care. She listened to and trusted my instincts and allowed me to really be apart of the team. Allen had terrible IBS and we struggled for several years to control it, but she always took my assessments of what I observed at home seriously and we worked out care plans for him together. When it was time to say goodbye to Allen, it unfortunately happened during Covid when the office was closed to the public, she made the process of holding him in the car while he passed not quite so terrible. I wish we hadn’t have moved away and could bring out new kitty to this clinic too!

The doctor and clinical staff onsite provided exceptional care to my two dogs this past week. We come from a prior vet that did not have bedside manners and would run tests they could not interpret, causing me to spend so much extra in tests that had to solutions. Dr. Allmendinger was attentive, and insightful on every step of this visit. She confirmed the competency level she felt comfortable interpreting test results and admits there could come a time we need a referral out to a specialist for a second opinion. I love that! We were given several options and in detail so we could make an honest and informed decision. I took the time to do my research to find the best care for my fur babies and am very happy with my choice. Thank you North Seattle for being here for your clients.

Everyone who works here is amazing and they all deserve recognition!!! I couldn’t thank each and every one of them enough for their care and support! They were able to see our dog baby within an hour as a walk-in patient, and they gave her everything she needed, as well as explained everything that was going to happen/had happened. They gave us options that helped accommodate our finances, as well as thoroughly explained the options for payment plans. Our vet nurse and doctor were amazing, and the front desk staff and manager were also so friendly and helpful!! We can’t thank you guys enough for helping our little baby Angel :)

North Seattle vet is the best of the best. They are incredibly attentive to our needs, anticipate what vaccines are needed to stay on schedule, and are beyond friendly and helpful every time I call. They are honest in their suggestions for care, never tell us what will get them the most money, but instead are transparent about what they think we should do and what they equipped to handle. All of the veterinarians are so kind and gentle with our pets and have been helpful in diagnosis our smallest dog with a joint condition and suggested treatment. We LOVE North Seattle and so do our pets.

I have been bringing my pets to you for ten years or so and I have been completely relieved and satisfied by your practice. Other practices I have been to never had the friendly and familial spirit that yours shows. It's a delight to be able to share the good health of our pets with you and know that it is the result of your quality of care when they need you I love that I have learned so much about my pets and I wouldn't want to ever go anywhere else. Thank you for being everything a veterinary clinic should be and more.

I am truly grateful for the amazing caring service my dog received here. I recently had to bring my him in due to a concern, they were able to identify a bigger health issue. They thought of multiple options for a resolution. The staff has been incredibly caring and the doctors have been wonderful. 8/15/2023 Update- As always, the staff here continues to be incredibly helpful and understanding of our concerns with our dog. They are knowledgeable and kind.

The staff are wonderful. Very timely, thorough, and thoughtful. Our bunny went through a spay surgery and the team was able to give us updates along the way as she recovered by text (and phone call). When we had questions and concerns post-op, they were also able to answer through text and see us the day after her surgery to get her examined to make sure everything is okay. Everyone there really seems to want the best for our bunny.

Been going here for over 20 years do rescue and have pets on my own, and these vets are caring and will go the distance for your pet. I’ve seen every vet in the practice, and I love each and everyone of them and trust them with all my pets. I’ve never had a bad experience and they’ve treated my dogs with care and I trust them implicitly. They even do urgent care now which has been just a real lifesaver for my dogs.

Our the course of the last 20+ years, Adawna Windom has been the vet for each of our dogs, from their puppy years to the end of their lives. Her intelligent, tender, wise care helped them have happy, long lives and we think of her as a true partner. If she were a doctor, we'd take our children and grandchildren to see her! We recommend her and North Seattle Vet Clinic wholeheartedly and without reservation.

I'm so glad I found this vet for my hedgehog! Dr. Neer is so skilled and completely blew me away at our very first visit. I had been to another clinic previously, and North Seattle Veterinary Clinic is far superior. Even though they mostly see cats and dogs, they also have an exotic vet to treat all your adorable pocket pets! If you're looking for a vet and not sure where to go, I would absolutely go here.

I've moved to different cities having to find a vet for my dog several times and this has had to be one of the better experiences. We arrived a few minutes before our appt and were escorted to our room promptly. The vet tech and vet were thorough in their examination and answered all our questions. I was very happy with the overall experience and think we found our new vet!

I have been a client since 2000, and I would never consider going to any other vet. Everyone is wonderful: staff, vet techs, and, of course, the vets. I think their prices are extremely reasonable. I love NSVC! I'm a neurotic pet parent who reaches out to them frequently. Everyone is super professional and patient with me and is very responsive to my questions and concerns. Dr Meredith was great. Listened to our concerns about small growth on our dog, took a sample and had reassuring results before we left. Followed up quickly with other test results, and was really good with our dog. Also this practice is owned by vets rather than a corporation, and that is reassuring to me too.

We're generally happy with North Seattle Veterinary Clinic, but there was an unfortunate event recently where they cancelled one of our appointments at the last minute, after the point at which we were supposed to have given our cat medicine to prepare for the appointment. We hope that does not happen again.
