"Ideal environment for families with children"
"Nice place with bbq facilities and play area"
"The zip line "swing" was popular and fun, but it needs to have some sort of boundary put up to stop little kids running across"
"Lovely local park for families or singles to visit for a walk or to read"
"Lovely spot"
Ideal environment for families with children. Has the advantage of a fenced enclosure surrounding the facility, thus ensuring the safety of children. Has play facilities for children, with grassed areas and convenience facilities. Parking space availability opposite the park and on the adjacent street.
Nice place with bbq facilities and play area. This place (Old Gum Tree Reserve) is a historic site in South Australia. Near this tree on 28 December 1836, the British governor John Hindmarsh delivered the proclamation announcing the establishment of Government of the colony of South Australia.
The zip line "swing" was popular and fun, but it needs to have some sort of boundary put up to stop little kids running across. I witnessed a kid get hit quite hard, falling down, and friends witnessed a more serious hit to the head. Facility is lovely though and the kids loved the playground.
Lovely local park for families or singles to visit for a walk or to read. I've lived local to here my whole life and recently have started using this park for my daily walks and sometimes sit under a tree and play games on my phone. Very clean and safe as well. Will add photos next visit.
Lovely spot. Had my Grandsons 1st B/day party here. Perfect for little ones, plenty of space to run around & a great playground. Areas to have picnics as well as picnic tables & barbys on sight, how great is that. Highly recommend …
Very quiet for a large park.Has lots of playground equipment for youngsters and BBQ facilities for family outing.Off the beaten track but close to Jetty Rd and all the shopping plus the jetty and beach only 10min drive away.Bit hard to find
The Old Gum Tree Reserve; has Been a Childhood Memory of Mine.; & Now We Have Moved Back the The Area I Grew Up In,; its Such a Wonderful Joy To be Able to Bring My Grandchildren here to Experience the same HAPPINESS I Experienced as A
ON DECEMBER 28, 1836, A sweltering day with temperatures reaching above 100 degrees Fahrenheit, a group of about 200 settlers and some of the local Kaurna population gathered near a uniquely arched gum tree to hear the proclamation
Great reserve for families with kids. Very well structured, with lots of areas for kids to play, to do picnic, a public toilet and barbecue area. It is also fenced, so you can rest assured that your kid won't leave the park area.
Great place for a family picnic, but the loo by the entrance needs better instruction manual in its use. If you put down your handbag on the only level surface, you get automatically squinted with water... it is the washbasin!!!
Great park, fully fenced, multiple BBQ and picnic tables, toilets, decent play equipment, it's dog friendly which we like too. Perfect for gatherings with other families
Lovely park ....lovely shaded areas ....only issue I had was you can't put the seat up all the way ...but was thankful for amenities time at park was lovely
A very historical and special place for South Australians. A lovely park with play equipment and shady places to sit and have lunch.

Such a beautiful place to be with family and friends! Enclosed safe playground for children of all ages. Clean toilets
The Birthplace of European colonisation, but now recognising the lands spiritual and cultural forebears, the Kaurna.
Our favourite park in the neighbourhood. Lovely shade, playground, and access to public toilets. Dog friendly too
Great facilities, BBQ, toilets and shaded benches. And we'll maintained grass areas and play areas for the kids
Barbecue, toilet, under cover areas with tables. Great flying fox for for kids of all ages
Nice park (not easy to find) but is grassed, good play equipment and has electric BBQs
Quiet pleasant place with kids playground. Has a zip line which is fun for older kids
Great place for kids to be safe and have a fun filling day with family and fr parties
Great place to celebrate South Australian history and pick some red mulberries.
Great spot for a picnic, lots of play equipment, bbq's, seating and lawned area
Great park for kids. The only thing that lets it down was the broken toilets.
