This place doesn't respect the mask bylaw regarding the exceptions' part of it. My wife and I have three cats and Pawsitively was always our first choice of pet supplies like food, cat litter, aiming to support local business. Last time we have been there, my wife was rudely stopped to get into the store once she was not wearing a mask. The employee, a young guy in his 20's (picture attached), even asked my wife the reason for not wearing a mask, not giving her even a chance to tell him she is an exception to the bylaw. My wife felt very uncomfortable by the embarrasing situation. We have been regular customers for 3 years, buying supplies for 3 cats! This is completely arbitrary and biased once a person who doesn't use a mask has a good medical reason for that, and any person shouldn't be treated like this way just because of their medical condition. Please refer to the City of Calgary's sign (attached) we see everywhere with the following footnote: "Exceptions: children under 2 years of age or persons with underlying medical conditions or disabilities which inhibits their ability to wear a face covering". This sign is displayed at your front door, why your employees do not properly comply with it? A company's policies can never supersede law. And the law states: "no one is to be refused service due to their inability to wear a mask". Second issue: I was told by employee Kayla that Weruva wet food would be discontinued in Canada, which is a misleading information. I personally confirmed this information 2 times before contacting the brand myself. I am attaching the e-mails I have sent to Weruva and their reply. It's sad that the store seems to be working against the brand, and we already found another supplier to keep buying from Weruva. This store is located about 10 minutes driving from Pawsitively, called Paws Pet Food and Accessories which offers a wonderful costumer service, and where we can find both wet food Weruva as well as the dry food Go!Solutions in a cheaper price. I am attaching their contact information in case Pawsitively is still giving the wrong information about Weruva to other customers. Also, a picture of their huge selection of Weruva products. Not offering a proper customer service and lying to a customer, to me it's a clear example of self economic sabotage in a lean period that we are living currently. It's sad that we as loyal customers are being treated this way. Not being respected in a medical condition and even receiving a misleading information about a product. We will support other local businesses where we can trust, be respected as customers and have our rights as citizens and human beings respected. .

Bought my cats food here every second month for the last two years. Was informed in October that I had a free bag available with the loyalty program and was asked if I’d like to redeem that now or later - I said later. Went to pickup the bag tonight and was informed that THREE of my 12 previous buys had “expired” and the next expires “next year in February”. That being in two whole months, and not solving the fact that buying every 2 months now would mean never actually getting a free bag. Instead of offering a bag on them, all I get is excuses that it isn’t their program and shrugs. Your staff can see the buying pattern every time I buy, I cannot. I should have been told it would expire otherwise. Food was not in my budget for this month because of this program. Way to lose a customer in two minutes flat. Edit for owner: It is your businesses responsibility as a participant in the programs to inform your customers of their limitations. I should have been told that if I didn’t take the free bag then, it would expire. I put off getting it at the suggestion of your staff. If you wish to blame your customers, make them have to keep track instead of your cashiers. You are active in the tracking of the purchases. I’ll be buying at PetValu from now on where I can buy litter at the same time. Edit again for the owner: Oh, you mean they reached out to you? After I let them know about your representation and blaming of their brand? Seeing as I don’t mention the brand, you either looked me up in your system (which I’m pretty sure is only my number not my name) and have chosen to still not contact me, or you’re lying to try and make yourself look better. Either way, this is such a curious way to deal with a customer complaint instead of just offering 10% off the bag I was standing there with ‍♀️ Maybe, just maybe try that next time.

Probably not the best place to get your cat groomed. I made an appointment and took off from work early to have my cat shaved as he's shedding his winter coat like crazy. The groomer asked me to stay back in case he "didn't let" her groom him. She came out five minutes later saying that it wouldn't work today, and to bring him back tomorrow instead. When I asked why anything would be different tomorrow, she said she had three dogs in the grooming room (!) and that they might not be there tomorrow so he'd be more comfortable. If she was stopping because my cat just hated the trimmer, I'd actually appreciate that. However, it's pretty ridiculous to even attempt grooming a cat with three dogs staring him down. It's unprofessional to offer appointments and then not be able to honour them because of the way your business is run. Either have a separate area for the dogs or don't offer cat grooming. The staff was very nice, but this was a huge hassle, I took off work for nothing and it was unnecessarily stressful for my cat.

Fantastic service from the first phone call to the time I picked her up. Booked in promptly, I had to change my appointment and they accomadated me quickll with no fuss. My dog is very old and has very weak back legs. She also had a lot of hair and truthfully had not been properly washed for years! The lady who performed it was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. She asked me about what I would like done before the work and explained to me the process, what to expect and what would be best for the dog. She also gave Scooby regular breaks as she knew it was hard on her. When she had finished, she brought her out and I hardly recognized her; short hair (as requested) very clean, soft and had clipped her nails. She also asked me if everything looked alright. I have to admit, I was speechless. Fantastic work. The work was very reasonably priced, but more importantly, great service from start to finish. Will be back again soon. Thanks

We have been talking our senior (16+yrs old) dog here for grooming for years. The lovely staff noticed he has been getting more anxious and cranky as he gets older and his arthritis bothers him more. They recommended Hemp4Paws, a CBD oil product to help him. We have been giving it to him consistently for a week now and the difference is night and day! We have our old puppers back. He is significantly less anxious, he is sleeping and eating better, and overall much perkier. We have given him traditional narcotics for his pain management before, but didn't like all the negative side effects. The Hemp4Paws has been wonderful! Thank you so so much to the staff for (a) recognizing that Pepper was not his usual self, and (b) for having an amazing natural alternative available to help him!

Absolutely love this place. Adopted a kitty that "eats whatever" but...turns out he was allergic to chicken (and clearly not eating whatever as he was severely emaciated and weak). Didnt catch her name, but the lady working was SO helpful with my thousand questions and got us a great raw food (soda always refused dry food) AND....even found him a dry food he will eat. Went in again for some doggie toys and treats for a foster and the staff (different this time) again answered my million questions while my dog tried to escape (think it was her first time in a pet store!) and was fantastic. Everyone is always pleasant and helpful. Love supporting local, and quality!

Ive been here twice now and have had a great experience both times for cat grooming. I wasn’t aware that the cats and dogs are in the same room for grooming until reading these reviews. My cat seemed normal and is used to dogs regardless. The only thing I’ve noticed both times is that I’ve had to give him a little brush after as there are some remaining chunks of hair in the long fur (he gets the lion cut). Other than that, these guys are amazing and I’ll always return. Thank you to the awesome groomer!

Jaymie is an amazing groomer, shes soft, kind and always welcoming. she brought me to the back and showed me her grooming area and where she would be keeping my dog. She followed all my directions and went above and beyond to meet what I had asked for her. I would recommend anyone to pawsitively natural not only are the staff kind and carrying but they are extremely knowledgeable. Thank you guys for amazing service and taking care of all my pets needs from grooming to their daily treats and food!

Very disappointed with the grooming customer service. Groom took twice as long as I was told it would be, no phone call to say so and no call when done. The delay affected the rest of my day's schedule since it wasn't anticipated, but no explanations offered and no apology. In fact, the groomer didn't even have the courtesy to come out and speak to me herself. While the quality of the groom was ok, it wasn't what I asked for, I didn't like it, and I ended up paying WAY more than expected.

I own a deaf persian ragdoll Cat who isn't around a lot of people or other animals so I was worried about booking his first grooming session but after meeting Jaymie, all my anxiety washed away. Jaymie did such an amazing job removing mats, extra hair and handled him with so much care, I won't go anywhere else now. You can't beat the quality, prices and the friendly staff! Jaymie, thank you so much!!! My kitty and I look forward to our regular visits!

I walked into the store looking to start my kitty on a more natural diet, but with almost no idea what's best on the market. The lady working the counter helped me so much to pick out the perfect pet food for my fussy kitty. She knew each product very well. After all her help, she then gave me a couple small samples of flavours for my kitty to try before committing to a full bag of food. Overall, loved the customer service!

we take are dog lucky there to get groomed by alison. she is the only person that we let groom him. she is very good at her job. the last time we got him cut we were not happy, but fond out that it was not her who did it, when i picked him up the cut was above and beyond what we thought. all you need to do is tell her once and then ajust it if you need to at the next cut. i would reccoemd alsion to anyone.

This has been our neighbourhood GO TO pet store for years! They have an amazing collection of safe and functional pet toys, beds, collars, leashes, and food/water bowls, always with an eye towards healthy, sustainable, and earth-friendly. Paul and his staff are always great at suggestions and have helped find a dogfood that more than one of our picky eaters would tolerate. Highly recommended!

By far the best service and selection of quality foods in Calgary's beltline area. There is an ample supply of cat and dog food both in raw, wet, and dry. Look no further for your toys and treats as they've got everything you'll need. We usually buy cans of cat food by the box here to save 10%. Also, if you have a CJSW card but don't want to buy in bulk, you can save 10% off.

It's a great neighborhood pet store! The staff is extremely friendly and has excellent knowledge on all the products they sell. We got a cat for the first time and they helped me out a lot in deciding on wet and dry food. They even gave me food samples so I can see which one the cat likes before buying big packs. Highly recommend them!

The folks at PAWSitively Natural are always on my recommended list. Their prices are competitive (my Almo Nature cat cans are the same price as other big brand name stores) and they're always getting in new product. I love shopping local where I can and I'm always happy to make the trip to support them. I cannot recommend them enough.

I just moved to the area recently & have been loving my experience every time I buy here. The quality of food, treats & toys are amazing compared to others I've visited, all fairly priced. Staff are so wonderful & pleasant. Sidenote: My Shorkie loves the new Dino toy (among the many great quality treats). 10/10

Very helpful. I pick up CBD oil for cats. I actually use it for my one ferret who has lymphoma. He had previously been taking gabapentin for pain control. With 0.25 mls twice a day we have been able to wean him entirely off the opioid . He is more alert, has no signs of pain.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and takes the time to help you this is the store I will be going to from now on and they also have the newest products and the 5.5 oz tins of weruva wet cat food which seem to be very hard to find which I love.

We went here to get some hemp oil for our 12 year old golden, the girl working in the store on Aug 12,2019 was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the product. I would highly recommend place for your pet needs!

relatively reasonably priced, my only complaint is they stock different products from different companies and as soon as you find one you like it is never in stock again or they don't deal with that company anymore.

I have always had excellent experiences here. The shop is well laid out and the staff are super welcoming and cool. My cat loves the wet food and sometimes raw food we get him from here. He’s obsessed!!

There is a hilariously large pig in the shop and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Always find what I need and they have a good selection of toys and accessories for dogs.
