My first time at the Bourke St Pacific Smiles. Dr. Kaho Han and his assistant were great, they're easy to talk to and were super friendly (I had a routine clean & filling done). However the receptionist today (woman) looked like she had better things to do.. she was rude to me and you could tell wasn't genuine when talking to you (literally had like an annoyed face). I just kept being polite, was friendly and smiled (as I am generally a happy and positive person). Quite disappointing when the dentist & assistant themselves are amazing but the receptionist completely soured the experience (to the point where I'd much rather go elsewhere sadly). Having an unfriendly/rude receptionist is such a liability and will draw away customers as experience is everything, especially at the dentist. I would HIGHLY consider to fire her and hire someone who is much friendlier and approachable (who smiles & is genuinely trying to help you/have your best interest at heart). It will bring a lot more customers in & keep them staying. I don't even get how receptionists can act that way?? Lol It cannot even be an excuse for someone having a bad day. I go to a chiro just on Collins St and all their receptionists are like my friends. I look FORWARD to my two adjustments a week because they are so happy, friendly and ask about your day. Such a huge difference they can make! Great dentist and assistant, really bad receptionist unfortunately!

Mixed experience. Dr Aisling Cromie is fantastic competent caring and good at giving options. You feel supported when she is working on your teeth because she has a lot of knowledge and works with focus and confidence. 100 per cent recommend Dr Aisling and will go back. Don't hesitate to book with her. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ However my first visit was not good at all and has caused me a lot of doubt about Pacific Smiles. I saw a different dentist who was described as a 'ring in' by reception when I complained, meaning they do not usually operate out of this practice and may or may not be back. I was left from this first visit with a crooked tooth at the front. The composite was set at an angle. I have not fixed as is it cosmetic and would have cost more but it does make people comment and has changed the look of my smile. This first dentist also put in a filling which I did not feel confident was necessary. It failed twice and caused problems and pain in the tooth above possibly cracking it. Luckily dr Aisling was able to fix it for me twice so I'm grateful she's there. If you do go to Pacific smiles make sure the dentist you see has an established history with the clinic and is not a 'ring-in'. Also what helped me come back were the receptionists Emma and Bhawna who were lovely. Particularly Emma who rang around to get me an emergency appointment on Sunday. I was in pain I appreciated this a lot

Such a terrible service there and I felt so frustrated after all. I booked a proper appointment, and clearly stated that the old cavity dropped and i need to do teeth refilling. But turn out they only give me 30mins. Without a careful checking the dentist only finished half dropped cavity on my tooth and leave half another hole. Not mentioning i got a pain-full injection. That was just a nightmare started, i have to make another apportionment, and wait for the same dentists as their policy. However at my appointment day she was sick leave. I received the call at earlier morning to notice me my appointment had to be canceled, but they can arrange another dentists with different time. And I agreed. I arrived clinic, the dentist told me he couldn't help me today. Simply because it was not enough time for my filling. Are u joking me ? Turn out that it was nothing i can do. It was so frustrating. After I traveled and had my work off, I can't accept it. The lady manager who suppose at-least to say a sorry told me it happens people get sick. I can understand that, but where is the clinic management. Leaving me a customer with no choice that i can only accept it and it happened twice . I would say it is so terrible to experience such a poor customer service. The rudest manager i have ever seen.

I have been going to Pacific Smiles Dental for 1.5 so far. Dr. Hasmat is my star dentist!!! If was’t for him, my oral health wouldn’t be improved for sure! I have got 4 root canals to fix at the beginning, I got one of them done at somewhere else however my tooth didn’t get fixed completely and it caused me a lot of pain. Then I met Dr. Hasmat, his extraordinary skills and caring personality SAVED MY LIFE! I never experienced pain when Dr. Hasmat injected anesthetic to my gum; I don’t have to worry about the results, as they never let me down; I went to check and clean my teeth with other dentists before, I was told that a certain of coffee marks can’t be removed on the back of my teeth .. however not surprised, Dr. Hasmat cleaned them all and didn’t take too long to do so. After my root canals long journey, I’ve got fillings and crowns to keep maintaining. I highly recommend Dr. Hasmat to everyone! My boyfriend also goes to Dr. hasmat, and we’re extremely happy with the results. If someone does such a great job, it’s should to be known and be appreciated I guess! A big thank you to Dr. Hasmat! Brilliant job!

I was really stress of what happened today with the payment and customer service. I just had my Root Canal with Dr. Poya and it was smooth, and he was so kind and good Doctor. I was charged for an extra payment they immediately refund it but the procedure was so stressful. The girl who did my 1st transaction was not even sorry. I was sad cause they’re not even considerate of what the patient was feeling. I just had a root canal and my left face was still numb and I’m in pain, and the tooth was still bleeding. I can’t even talk properly. I wanted to say something earlier but since I’m in pain I cannot talk properly. The refund takes us 20 mins and I even come back for their proper way of refund cause the first one was a mistake.They refunded me the money but the money I’m waiting will be on 2 accounts. One on my debit and 1 on afterpay. The hassle still on me cause the refund will take 10 days. This is so sad. Please clarify first with the patient what’s charged not just saying what amount need to pay. If I didn’t ask for my invoice I wouldn’t know what they charged to me.

Had my appointment rescheduled same day due to a dentist illness. When I arrived (8 mins late) my appointment had apparently been “given up” to another patient and I was told to come back next day. I kicked up a stink given I had already rearranged my day to accomodate the practice and I was offered an appointment 4 hours later that afternoon because the dentist had to go to lunch. I arrived 10 minutes early this time and was seen 15 minutes late (which I find incredibly ironic). Terrible customer service that I will have an appointment cancelled due to being 8 mins late, with no call, just because they are running behind. Waste of my time! Lady behind the counter in the afternoon is lovely, but the staff member earlier in the day had no idea, was just listening to the dentist. The dentist service was fine but nothing ground breaking, and terrible experience overall. Never had an appointment cancelled before due to 8 mins of lateness. If this is how you treat new customers, would hate to think how you treat regulars.

I would like to highly recommend Dr Ghada El Sayed and Dr Devanshi Mistry. Dr El Sayed is my family's main dentist and we really appreciate her ability to put us all at ease when we go for routine check ups and cleaning. Children were apprehensive about going to the dentist but she made them feel at ease right away and was very careful and gentle. She is also great with adults. We cannot fault her professionalism and skills. Dr El Sayed identified an orthodontic issue with one of our children and swiftly recommended us to Dr Devanshi Mistry. Dr Mistry is also highly competent and good with children. She conducted a thorough assessment and explained to us our options with our child, practicality and treatment efficiency in mind. Indeed, I really liked that she suggested braces over invisalign as my child is young and forgetful and I know (and Dr mistry seems to agree) that she will certainly forget to put the aligner on or lose the expensive device.

I not long received an email inviting me to come back after 5 years of not returning to your terrible business. I had a horrible experience with a threatening bully of a dentist there. He made my gums bleed during a basic scaling and the scaling wasnt very good. I left a review through my health insurance supplier that made its way back to him. I ended up returning for a re-visit fix up. The same dentist confronted me and cornered me in their office and asked about the review, threatening with a "I know people." He was an a-hole and the quality of work was poor. As if I'd EVER go back to your place of business. Remove me from your history and emailing list. Don't bother replying with your generic and basic 'copy and paste' reply you do to all negative reviews. Why the hell would I bother emailing you now?! This is a faceless franchise style business. Nothing personal about it. Find yourself somewhere better - it won't be hard :)

I’m writing this review in behalf of my mum to honor Dr Darren Lai. He’s done a lot of outstanding work for my mum. He is intelligent, very clear, and he immediately inspired my mum’s confidence. He has a gentle touch, he make you very comfortable when you are in his care. Dr. Darren changed my mum’s fear around dental visits. If you are looking for someone that truly cares about his patients- Dr Darren is your dentist!!! He was with my mum every step of the way explaining the process and made sure she experienced as a little pain as possible. He was patient, kind and made my mum’s experience amazing. Mum was nervous when she came in and smiling after a couple of tooth extraction walking out- all pain free, quick and efficient. We are so impressed with his professionalism and expertise. Extremely disappointed with the service. I changed my clinic to pacific smiles as this was Bupa preferred provider. On my first visit, the doctor dint have all the supplies for carrying out my fillings. The assistant was sent to bring in the supplies thrice while I sat there waiting with my mouth open. On my second visit, doctor refused to carry out a filling as the online system booked me as check up n clean. There is no option to book in a filling in online system nor was I told this needs to be booked via call. Instead I was told I am to be more careful next time instead of acknowledging an issue in their booking system. I asked if they have drinking water and the receptionist refused to fill the bottle for me. Not going in again. I would rather pay more out of pocket but be treated nicely.

I have been with Pacific Smiles Dental for years, recommended by my friend who highly recommended this practice, I was with Dr. T for a couple of times, he was super fun, gentle and professional. Unfortunately he left the business during pandemic, however, I’m now with Dr Lauren McGuinness who is very friendly, gentle, warm and always check with me for every step she is going to check. I look forward for her return from her maternity leave! A side note: receptionist is the first person facing to the customer, it’s not an easy job and hard to get a good one . The receptionist also reflects on how the company treats them, I’m hoping to see more of their smily and happy face. They certainly deserves to be respected by each single customer. I have had 2 good dentists here and one i did not like, R C . I have been at this practice for a number of years and saw R C Initially. Then he bumped me to another dentist who i actually prefered. Unfortunately after pandemic was reallocated to RC. Showed up this morning for appointment booked back in October last year and was told that someone spoke to me last week and it was now in a weeks time...1. No one spoke to me last week 2. I never would have made an appointment for that date as i am not in town then. No apology either for the inconvenience. Finally got some self respect and took my business elsewhere. Many other no gap dentists in city with better respect for long term customers. Maybe if i had worse teeth i would be more enticing as a money making customer.

I have had nothing but a perfect experience at Pacific Smiles so far. I have a long history with my teeth starting from when I was a child and the dentist chair is a very familiar place for me. My first dentist in Melbourne Freedom Dental which was overpriced and did poor, frantic unprofessional work and I didn’t realize how poor it was until I saw Dr Poya Hasmat at Pacific in the CBD. To be honest the main reason I tried Pacific was the no gap checkups with AHM by medibank private health, but I have no plans on moving on. He is kind, professional and amazing at what he does. I have had a filling and a crown leaving the office confident and informed. Thank you for restoring my faith in dentists after a faulty crown at Freedom I am confident I am again in good hands.

Dr Naidoo is friendly, informative and thorough. Came back for wisdom tooth removal by another doctor who was just the same. Both times the dental assistant and front of house staff were lovely. I nearly fainted after the tooth pull (anxiety related lol), they helped sit me down, brought me some relief and ensured I took the lift down instead of the escalator. They assured me they didn't close for another 45mins and I could stay as long as I needed then called me the next day to see if I was okay. Honestly blown away by service and within fifteen hours I didn't even need pain medication (took three maxigesic in total). I couldn't have afforded any of it without ahm insurance so really grateful that this was the providing dentist.Thank you so much to everyone there

Honestly I’m one of those people who absolutely HAAAAATES the dentist - always leaving a bit shaken and with a sore mouth. But I can say without a shadow of a doubt, I tried Pacific Smiles as recommended by AHM and it’d have to be the most painless experience start to finish. The receptionists were absolutely lovely and accomodating, and Dr Han and his assistant made things absolutely pain free and super easy throughout the 30 or so minute procedure. Even the reception area was super welcoming, making it so calm and casual (opposed to most other dental clinics). This experience has definitely taken away a lot of the anxiety I used to experience when it comes to dentists! Huge thank you to everyone at Pacific Smiles, keep doing what you’re doing.

Going to the dentist at Pacific Smiles Melbourne Is legitimately a pleasant experience every single time. Every doctor I’ve seen at this clinic has prioritised my comfort and has given me really helpful tips on looking after my teeth. Recently I had my wisdom teeth removed by my new favourite dentist, Dr. T. Naidoo, he made me feel so safe and I had hardly any pain or swelling in the days following he procedure. I dropped in to get a script a few days later and Dr Hasan took the time to clean my wounds and make sure everything was healing properly. The overall experience was so much easier than I was expecting it to be all thanks to the team at Pacific Smiles. I’ve recommended them to all of my friends!

I have a massive fear of the dentist so I'd like to give a big shout out to the team at Pacific Smiles dental in the cbd for making my experience the best it can be. To Emma at reception who was just so lovely and helpful which made stepping into the dentist not so scary. To Dr R Chockalingam for a thorough and efficient check and clean. And definitely to Dr P Hasmat and his team, Michelle and Amy, for doing an excellent job at extracting 3 of my wisdom teeth. They were all so caring and thorough that there was barely any swelling or pain during recovery. If you are looking for a good quality and professional dentist service, they are definitely it!

I write this review reluctantly. Because I know that after people hear about the great work, of Dr Darren Lii. It’s going to be even harder for me to get an appointment with him. In over 30 years of going to Dentist’s in Melbourne. Darren is the gentlest dentist I have ever had in my life. In the past, I never looked forward to going to see a dentist. But with Darren, I look forward to it because it gives me a chance to relax. I often fall into a deep sleep in the chair. I have never felt any pain or discomfort whatsoever with Darren. I reluctantly highly recommend him. Please do not book him because you’ll take that booking time away from me.

I was really hesitant to get all my wisdom teeth out, but I had no choice as they were all giving me problems. Also, I’m really not a fan of seeing a dentist and I’m scared of any kind of teeth/mouth pain. But I have to say this: Dr. Poya Hasmat is amazing! Did not feel a single thing getting all my four wisdom teeth out and was handled with so much care. Getting them out was a breeze! I was honestly so afraid of the pain, but the only pain I felt the entire week was on the second and third day - which is totally normal and that’s what pain killers are for. Dr. Poya 110% deserves five stars! Amazing!

I’m leaving 1 star just because I can’t give 0 star review. I had an appointment with Dr. Ghada El Sayed for general check and clean but she only cleaned it for about 5 minutes saying it’s already clean. Also had full crown restoration done by her but she didn’t do a good job. The new dentist I visited told me that she put in too much adhesive so might need to re-do it. Not a really good experience given that it’s an expensive treatment and she just chatted with her assistant while she was supposed to be doing the treatment. Don’t waste your time and money on this clinic.

I am so pleased that I found this dental clinic. Last Friday I had my wisdom teeth removed and was so nervous leading up to my appointment. However, my nerves were quickly abated by the lovely reception team, Dr Hazmat and his professional dental assistant. The entire team were so knowledgeable and supportive. It made the whole experience almost pleasant! Dr Hazmat must be some kind of Wisdom Tooth wizard because I had almost zero swelling after the procedure. Dr. Kaho Han is incredible!!!. I had extreme dental anxiety for my tooth filling procedure not only was he awesome to talk to but he is professional and empathetic. I was relaxed, he did not rush at all, the entire procedure was 'pain-free' . It's rare to find such a doctor who provides absolute quality of medical care. I highly recommend him. He is my favorite doctor :) . I also would like to thank the reception staff & dental assistant they are so helpful & provide genuine customer service. Overall 5/5 experience & I am highly impressed.

I'm on holiday from overseas in Melbourne and yesterday suddenly a piece of my molar got loose. I've called Pacific Smiles for an appointment based on a friends recommendation. And they could accomodate me the following morning a, today, already! Dentist Ali Hassan helped me this morning, and I've got nothing but praise! He explained what was going on in great detail and answered all my questions. For someone that has had terrible experiences at the dentist office, I felt completely assured at this practice. I would highly recommend them.

These guys are awesome, super friendly and welcoming, and they are BUPA preferred which suits me perfectly. The girls at the reception are very helpful. Dr Darren is excellent, I had 4 fillings and a clean this time, Darren shapes the fillings perfectly to my bite, unlike my old dentist in Malvern East (where I had to go back twice). I have been coming to the Pacific Smiles Bourke St Melbourne practice for the past 2 years and want to say that these guys do a great service and value for money too. See you in 6 months Dr Darren.

Pacific Smiles were very accommodating to me having to change my appointment at short notice and the reception staff were lovely. Dr T Naidoo is hands down one of the nicest medical professionals I've met. I had a lot of anxiety going into my appointment but Dr T was very comforting and explained everything very clearly without being condescending, I'm genuinely motivated and excited to keep my teeth clean and show them off to him in six months time, I didn't think I could leave a dentist feeling that way. I hate going to the dentist, its not enjoyable for me. However, I love going to see Dr Naidoo, he's professional, knowledgeable, funny and personable. Through out the process he keeps your mind at ease by telling you exactly what's going to happen and how it is going to feel. If anyone is hesitant about going to the dentist I recommend seeing Dr Naidoo, he will make you feel at ease and potentially change your perception of the dentist. Also the front of house staff are bubbly, happy and easy to deal with.

So happy to have found a regular dentist in Melbourne cbd. Dr. T. Naidoo was fantastic. I was completely at ease and I understood exactly what was being done at each step of the way. No unnecessary treatments were recommended and I was given sound and practical advice on how to better care for my teeth. Plus a bonus of humming along to The Beatles in my head which was the soundtrack that the Dr. was singing along to while working on my teeth. What a great experience from start to finish.

I had 2 appointments with Dr.Roshanak Samani (you can call her Roshi) in recent weeks. My gum was in a serious problem and it was inflamed because of my previous teeth surgery. She did her best in 2 session for me. And I was so lucky to find a well-experienced and kind dentists in my first experience in melbourne. I really admire her knowledge and the sense of responsibility. Now I feel comfortable and both my gum and tooth are in an acceptable situation. Tnx pacific smile tnx Roshi

Terrible business model. If the dentist who worked on you and needs to make adjustments after treatment is not available then another dentist may do the work but only if you can show it’s urgent and at further expense. Dentists do not work everyday at any one location. Major problem in my case over 3 years ago. I’ve now seen 3 specialists. Three years later I’m still seeing specialist to fix the damage to jaw caused by junior dentist. Very dissatisfied.

I never felt this disrespected I came on time for my appointment; the next patient walked in few minutes after me and was updated twice within the first 15 minutes that they're running late and was reassigned to another one. In the meantime i'm waiting there patiently without a single update to be told 25 mins late that my dentist is running late due to early appointments and if I was happy to wait or would like to reschedule. Unacceptable!

Have been there two years ago with excellent treatment. The previous experience made my uncle decided to return there again when suffering from tooth decay. However, my uncle experienced horrible and serious spinal pain, joints uncomfortableness and heart beat disorder after the dental treatment for unknown reasons which was explained by both of the junior and senior dentist. Definitely not a trustworthy and professional clinic.

I had the best experience I’ve ever had with a dentist here! I required extensive dental treatment spanning over a few months and Dr G El Sayed made this experience comfortable, made me laugh and ease my dental anxiety. She is kind, considerate, funny and the best dentist I’ve ever come across. Had a wonderful experience here and it was just my first visit! The best part is that they don’t upsell unnecessary treatments for you. I had a check up and clean with Dr Barakat and I’m more than satisfied :) I also had xrays included during my check up which was fantastic! The doctor was so polite, friendly and very kind. Great first experience today at Pacific Smiles in Melbourne CBD. My dentist was Emer, she was very informative and explained everything going on with my teeth and was super honest about my treatment. I was so sick of dentists trying to do lots of work when it was so unnecessary. This dentist also works with many of the top private health insurances too, so that helps with the costs!

The only dental practice in Melbourne that I would go to! The dentist’s (Dr Poya and Dr Kaho) are excellent at what they do, thorough, kind, gentle and great communicators. Their care and attention is fantastic. The practice is clean and comfortable and the admin staff are generally friendly. Highly recommended Dr Poya or Dr Kaho if you want a fantastic dentist who you can trust.

The absolute best experience I have had at a dentist. Professional, calming and informative. The receptionists made me feel so comfortable both over the phone and while I was waiting (special mention to Courtney for being so lovely). Dr Hasmat and his assistant were utterly fantastic during my wisdom tooth removal, I cannot speak more highly of my experience. Thank you again!

Dr. Poya is really good at his job and he always tries to make sure that the procedure isn't too painful for me. I've had multiple complicated procedures and they all went well. The other doctors were good as well when I had emergency issues, and the reception team is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Pacific Smiles Dental CBD because my experience has been great.

My first dental appointment in melbourne. I appreciate the professional attitude of staff here. DR ALI explained the procedure well and detailed me on what all things i need to do post procedure. Usual charge for adult cleanup us around 200$ but with insurance i got it all covered. Overall a good experience. You need to make an appointment online in advance.

I'm a chicken and terrified of the dentist. All the staff made me feel at ease and did a terrific job. Dr. Hasmat was phenomenal! He took the time to explain the x-rays and answer all the daft questions I had. The team at the front explained about the follow-up appointments I needed and recommended more cost effective options for me. Brilliant experience!

I saw Dr Rama today for a filling. I’ve been a dental nurse for over 12 years, and I’ve worked with a lot of different dentists. There is no one I trust more than him nor have a I seen a more skilled dentist. I live in Brisbane now, but I waited to be on a holiday here to see him for my filling. He is kind, reassuring and it was a painless procedure.

i came here yesterday for my first dentist appointment in 10 years. dr do and her colleague whom treated me were so good and really fun and put my mind at ease straight away. i also didn’t have to wait at all for my appointment. the reception team were super friendly as well. thanks heaps team, i can’t wait for my filling next month!!

I have been getting Invisalign with Dr Ghada Sayed, and she’s great. However the receptionist is rude most of the time at the counter. I’ve also been trying to reschedule for an appointment and the receptionist that is replying my email is unprofessional and unhelpful, and even stopped replying all together.

It's a dentist, not a massage parlour, don't expect to be 'comfortable'. But the staff are kind and knowledgeable, and the dentists have all benn professional and caring. Have used this location for the past year and a half, including for major surgery, and will continue to do so until we leave the city.

The best dental practice, especially for ahm members — I wouldn't go, or trust, anywhere else. Have seen several different dentists there over my time, and all are equally as professional, friendly and informative. I always look forward to my six monthly check-ups! Thank you Pacific Smiles Dental.

Wanted to go to Dr. Poya as recommended by a friend, but as I need an immediate appointment, I went with Dr. Hasan and is very pleased with the overall service, very friendly & gentle, cleaning was done very thoroughly, he advised ways to preserve my dental health very clearly too :)

Rude staff. Hung up on me. Cancels your appointment even though you have confirmed ‘yes’ by text message. Their phones are poorly attended. Have rang multiple times with no answer and no call back. Will never go there as they’re just money makers and not caring about their patients.

Had an amazing experience seeing Dr Angela Nguyen today! She was so easy to connect to, extremely professional and one of the most understanding and compassionate dentists I’ve ever. Thanks so much to Angela and the team, it’s so refreshing not to feel like just another patient.

Had my first appointment with this clinic today and it was a very good experience so far. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the clinic is modern and very neat. I had a routine checkup with Dr M Arora. She was very nice and took very good care of me. Thank you very much.

Excellent service, the dentist Dr. Darren Lai is really good at fixing my teeth and he is efficient. No matter how deep the cavity is, I always end up falling asleep in the chair. Dr. Poya removed one of my teeth and he did it without me feeling any pain. Keep up the good work!

I’ve been attending this dental clinic for a number of years. The customer service from beginning to end is always phenomenal. The dental care team are always professional, and provide their services with care and attention to detail. I recommend Pacific Smiles Dental highly.

Their phones are poorly attended... Called many times when during business hours but Diverted! And unable to contact via email etc. This is poor service compared to other dentists, as can't contact in emergency. If you want reliability, go somewhere else...

I've had work done in South Africa, all around Asia, New Zealand and Dr. D Mistry is by far the best Dentist I've come across. Highly attentive to detail, thorough, and during a 90 minute procedure made sure I was not in any pain. Highly recommended!

Allowed walk in to be put in front bookings. They changed my booking without letting me know. They said it was a confusion instead of admitting to their mistakes. Poor form and customer service. Dentist was good for a general clean/checkup

What a delightful experience! Front desk team are friendly and accommodating. Booking in was a breeze. Dentist was professional and thorough. No absurd charges or pushing additional service sales. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Not reliable. Appointments are cancelled and you find out just when you get there. Had the same issue twice, they are happy to take your money but they are not able to provide a decent service. Moving to another dentist.

While it is a big corporate dentist place, I somehow landed on the best dentist I've ever had (Dr Hasmat), who is professional, consultative, friendly and gentle. I've recommended him specifically to many a friend.
