We took our senior cat to Parkwood Animal Hospital when he injured his tail and were amazed by the excellent service and compassionate environment they offer there. He is skittish as he is getting on in his years, but Dr. Cameron and RVT Bailey were so gentle and welcoming that he was completely at ease. The way the staff helps animals is great, from greeting to treatment- all aspects of the appointment. They tailor their interactions according to the temperament of their furry patients and explain what they are doing every step of the way to the fur-parents. My partner and I were able to ask questions freely and were given plenty of helpful information with so much patience and personable understanding. Front-desk staff were affable and also gave us information up-front, plus the price of the visit was reasonable, especially for the superior quality of care given! Aside from the wonderful staff, the clinic is very clean, welcoming, and well-organized. They offer walk-ins, emergency services, as well as scheduled appointments and a wide range of other services ideal for those wishing to have an all-in-one option when it comes to veterinarian services. This place does not try to upsell you or include any hidden fees, nor will anything be done to your pet without your knowledge and approval. Dr. Cameron was even kind enough to show us our cat's x-rays, explaining what kind of injury he had sustained as well as how we would all be able to work together to help him heal as quickly and comfortably as possible. They provide information before administrating any treatment or procedures and are sure to consult with us and obtain our consent so we were part of the process every step of the way. The information they give is communicated transparently, and what's more, the staff truly care about their patients, giving options when it comes to treatment so that the best, most informed decisions can be made. This is a fantastic clinic with so much to offer to its clients. Thank you for helping our cat and putting our hearts at ease during the process!

This is the best vet I’ve been to! Right when you walk in, it’s really nicely decorated and clean and spacious. The receptionist is amazing. My dog got sick out of nowhere and then passed it along to my other dog, Abbey. I was really exhausted by the end of the week between both dogs having diarrhea but otherwise seemed well. I brought Abbey in at the end of the week and saw Dr. Cameron. She explained in great detail about Abbey and treatment plan (antibiotics). She got down on Abbeys level which helped as well. She made lots of time for me to ask questions and didn’t rush me which is great! After paying $800 for my other dog at another vet for the same symptom and having to do a lot of tests, it was way more cost effective here and she didn’t push for different tests. As someone that is living paycheck to paycheck right now, this was very helpful and a big weight off my shoulders. I really appreciate you Dr. Cameron, and Abbey was feeling better after the second day on the antibiotics. Thank you!! Abbey is back to her healthy happy self!

This vet clinic is truly the best I have ever been to. They go the extra mile to make sure that not only your pet is being take care of but they also offer their support and guidance to pet owners which I am forever grateful for. The entire staff here are so welcoming and you really feel so supported by everyone. Both Molly (my sweet husky) and myself are excited to see everyone when we go in for our monthly appointment. Dr. Kim has been so helpful with Molly and has taken all the necessary steps to make sure Molly’s health is a priority. He makes sure that your pets comfort comes first and walks you through every procedure. Kovu my skiddish cat felt very comfortable with Dr. Kim and I’m grateful for his patience and understanding of my pets needs. I feel so comfortable asking questions with their team because everyone has shown me so much kindness and compassion which really goes a long way. Such an amazing team here, I honestly believe Molly doesn’t get anxious going to the vet because of the wonderful staff here.

We were referred for an urgent care visit by Fisher Glen Animal hospital when they were understaffed. Our cat had a balance and dehydration issue and we brought him in to see Dr. Cameron. Bailey (RVT) and Dr.Cameron were both super patient and empathetic - ensuring that our cat was comfortable throughout the whole examination and treatment processes. We also really appreciate considerations for medications that we could provide our cat to meet his habits (he will only take oral liquid medications). As Dr.Cameron indicated, this helps set us up for success. Dr.Cameron was very knowledgeable and walked us through the diagnostic process, explaining every test and symptom she was assessing. She was also very upfront and transparent about pricing. We're super thankful for the care provided to our cat! ❤

What a fantastic and caring group! We are visiting my mother in law in Gatineau from Michigan. Our 7 month old corgi injured a hind leg on the stairs this morning and we called Parkwood. The receptionist was wonderful and alerted the team we would be arriving. Bailey and Dr. Cameron were incredibly patient and kind with Marlow and us. We appreciated the thorough and caring care and how they explained and allowed questions every step of the way. Costs were discussed prior to each new option so there were no surprises and we ended up with a much better result than we had anticipated. (Muscle strain vs bone fracture.). They will also send records to our vet in Michigan. THANK YOU so much for your time and expert care and for making a scary situation much more positive.

I noticed this animal hospital opened up nearby and I decided to take my cat in for a routine checkup and for another issue. Doctor Cameron was spectacular at explaining what they were doing and was extremely personable. We have now decided to switch over to this clinic, and specifically seek out Doctor Cameron. They had mentioned they'd worked as a Vet for 16 years, and I admire how uplifted their spirits are as I do know how taxing and difficult it can be in this profession. Everyoms I had interacted with had put us and our cat at ease. Thank you to everyone that works at Parkwood hills animal hospital. The price is also phenomenal.

I could not recommend this animal hospital enough. The service and staff are amazing. The doctors, techs and even front end are all so attentive, caring and welcoming. I brought my dog in for urgent care today. First and foremost, the vet on urgent care.... amazing! It was like she and my dog had been BFFs for years, there was so much care and affection given, while still being compassionate and professional. Very informative, very helpful. Most important to me though was she treated him as though he were her own. I will 100% be back. Tony is on the road to recovery, and I could not be happier with how today went.

I’ve never been to a veterinarian clinic where my dog is this excited to get inside and see the doctor. This place is spectacular! Dr Cameron cares for my puppy as if it were her own. Professional, intelligent, and achingly kind. My dog absolutely loves her and sometimes fakes being sick just so she can go spend the day. She is thorough, smart and always looking for a solution even outside the usual box of diagnosis. Plus Dr Cameron knows how to manage owner worries and anxiety and doesn’t ever give up. Dr Cameron literally saved my puppy’s life…there aren’t enough stars in the sky for this review!!

Highly recommend. We came in for an emergency as our regular vet couldn’t fit us in, and had a wonderful experience with Dr. Cameron. She is a true animal lover. My senior dog is usually extremely anxious at the vet, but she was more relaxed than I had ever seen her and even fell asleep while we waited for a short period on test results. Dr. Cameron was upfront about all costs prior to proceeding with any tests, and provided a detailed explanation every step of the way. The clinic itself was very clean, and all the staff we interacted with were extremely friendly!

Wow. Just wow. What an absolutely astonishing team here. From booking, to walking in and meeting with reception, to meeting the RVT and Doctor. The whole experience was great. I’ve never felt so welcome in a vet office before. Skye didn’t even feel the needle, she was too distracted with the treats and cuddles. Thank you guys so much for this experience. This is going to be Skye’s vet clinic for life, and I will be recommending this clinic to all my family and friends. (Oh and did I mention the prices here and more than fair!? A fantastic bonus.)

Dr Kim and Cameron are the best vets in Ottawa. They are very caring and take time to explain the issues, understand our concerns, answers all our questions. They have been really patient in our case when our dog was brought in for a skin infection and was later diagnosed with diabetes within few weeks. Dr. Kim has always been very helpful and accommodating. Dr. Cameron was very patient and took time to explain the course of action. Very happy with this vet services. P.S. The receptionist and other nurses are very warm, caring and accommodating.

I brought my cat Diesel in yesterday for an urgent care appointment and never expected an experience with such compassion. We were treated as family. Dr. Cameron was incredible. Very knowledgeable and compassionate. Takes her time to explain everything to you. I have never in my life had such an amazing vet take care of my fur baby. Went above and beyond. The staff is amazing. The clinic is clean and inviting. It is beyond 5 stars. I recommend this clinic to anyone who has a fur baby. They will treat you like family.

The best vet I’ve ever brought my baby too. My dog had a very bad injury to his eye after being bit by another dog and they took such amazing care of him. My little guy is on the mend and can’t even explain the level of care he got and how knowledgeable they were. Everyone was super friendly and kind and definitely didn’t have the usual snobby vibe that most clinics have. Will definitely be bringing my furbabies here from now on. I and my cat had a great experience with this clinic. Dr. Cameron provided step by step information of what she was assessing and her findings and rationale for any recommended tests. She is empathetic and approaches care with compassion and skill. She followed up with the results in a very detailed email and offered a solution and plan forward. I am so appreciative that I stumbled upon this clinic. We will definitely be back for any emergency needs.

With a very anxious doggy, I was apprehensive about getting her vaccines renewed, especially with a new veterinarian. But our experience at the new Parkwood Animal Hospital (opened since May!) was nothing short of stellar. From the reception to the technician and the doctor, they made this experience most positive. My puppy recieved great care from Parkwood Animal Hospital. My dog is small and timid, Dr Kim and the vet tech get right down to her level, holding her for her exam and shots, making her as comfortable as possible. For the spay surgery they provided us with lots of information and support, and things went so smoothly! All of the staff I met are very kind and helpful, and you can tell they really enjoy their little patients.

This place is absolutely amazing! We came here for our puppy’s first vet appointment and I am blown away by the level of care and kindness each staff member gave us. Dr. Cameron is the best and was so accommodating to make sure our girl was happy and comfortable and took the time to explain everything to me in detail. I left in such a good mood after seeing so many friendly and helpful faces! Can’t recommend enough!

I have to recommend this clinic to anyone looking for emergency care of their animal. Parkwood took me in when I couldn’t find any service at the regular vets I use. I’m so grateful for their emergency walk-ins. Dr. Cameron is a caring empathetic vet and she will give you all the time and info you need. I will absolutely be back if needed. What a great team. I was desperate with my cat where to get the immediate attention, as she was having diarrhea all the time. I got the appointment at Parkwood clinic,asap. Dr Cameron, advised 3 treatments plans,after 1st Treatment finished, my cat was fine plays,eats,drinks as normal as she used.I was so Happy, and couldn't believe that happened so quickly. We took our older cat in today for an emergency visit and I have to say that Dr. Cameron was the best vet I have had for any of my animals in the last 20 years. The whole staff was excellent. They were all friendly, patient and helpful. We definitely will be switching to Parkwood for all of our veterinary needs. Hands down the best experience in Ottawa.

Absolutely amazing all around. The place, the service and the price is spectacular. After losing 2 dogs due to old age and another to cancer I ended up with a very sick pup and they saved his life and were sooooo caring. I absolutely adore these people. Thank you for being amazing and soo caring

Amazing place!!!! We have been twice in the last 2 weeks. Met both Vets who are so compassionate and treat my dog like their own. There is no upselling here. Honest and compassionate care. So glad they have taken my dog under their wings for care.

This place is not as busy as other animal hospitals, and it provides walk-in services, you still should call them in advance though, as stated on their official website.
