We bought a dining table in early August and received it mid January with no updates or courtesy calls in between. I would stay away from this company as I found them to be extremely unprofessional. I went looking for a dining table in early August with my girlfriend and we quickly found one that we liked. Looking back, no one offered to help, but this wasn't a deal breaker. We decided to sleep on it and returned the next day to find out the price had gone up a few hundred dollars because of the "supplier and covid". Unfortunate timing, but again being easy going, we decided that it is what it is and didn't complain about the sudden price surge and even opted for the white glove service to make sure we wouldn't have to deal with transportation ourselves. After two months, the moving company brought the furniture and found the table top was broken. They showed us that it hadn't been packaged properly and called the company to notify them of the situation. Parliament Interiors later called us to say that it was the supplier's fault. After this incident, we were basically left in the dark with no updates and had to wait an extra 4 months to receive our order. Every time we called them the ETA changed. If you want to deal with a business that makes promises and does not deliver, you found the right one. The icing on the cake was when we received the bill from the moving company and saw that they charged us twice for shipping. At no point during this whole ordeal did we call and complain or put pressure on the business. We only called when the ETA dates would come and pass. Our expectations were low and we were still let down. No apologies and no effort to do anything for the inconvenience.

Well, if you want to feel like you don’t really matter, please stop by! I am giving this store a 1 star and that’s really too bad - they seem like they should be a 5. Extremely disappointed in this store, which saddens me because they do offer some spectacular finds and home goods. The staff was not particularly interested in me, although I was so interested to be there - which felt kinda pathetic. I saw a beautiful bedspread, which pulled me right away in! Beautiful cream knit with black rainbow arcs - it was perfect for me. However, after that lacklustre intro sadly my visit didn’t get any better and I left without the coveted blanket. You see when I asked about the throw (size), I was shown to it and immediately told the price. No thanks man, I thought. Please don’t lead with that. I didn’t ask for the price, and I do have the money if what - that’s what I felt like saying. Also, do you really want “I don’t care about anything and I’m cranky cuz I didn’t eat breakfast” the main aesthetic of your employees? It’s not great. I will likely not be back to buy this blanket of my dreams based on the human factor. With other local retailers and options on Etsy, I will find something else. I hope this helps you choose where you share and spend your money. It’s important to me.

While vacationing in Vancouver from the U.S., my wife and I happened upon this true gem of a store!! Amid all the other "Tourista" shops and showrooms we encountered in Gastown and Yaletown, Parliament stood out as a place filled with bona fide quality pieces on sale for extremely sensible prices. From the classy home decor accessories and modern furniture, to the extensive owl-themed collections, to the unexpected and extremely artistic live potted-plant assortment, Parliament has something for everyone!! The calibre of the store's contents is exceeded only by the unique professionalism of its employees, who consistently go "a step beyond" to ensure complete customer satisfaction. My wife and I dealt primarily with Tina, who, in addition to patiently working with us as we browsed through the multiple selections, arranged to have all our purchases shipped to our home in New Jersey (once again, for an extremely reasonable price). Overall, this establishment has managed to accomplish that extremely rare business feat of providing an exceptional combination of professional and personalized shopping experience to its customers. I only wished we lived closer to Vancouver; we would love to return to Parliament for a second visit!!

I usually go to this store when I want to buy a plant as a gift, although they are over priced compared to plant store but I always liked the collection. Bought two plants last December, both died, went in once to ask for recommendations and they told me they wld replant for half the price. So the one that I had for myself was a Juniper which I took to replant and had understood from a proffesional that the one I had wasnt suitable for indoors, even one of the sales ppl of the store told me that thier Junipers were not doing well either. Any ways they took my number and my second choice of plants incase Junipers werent available anymore and told me they will call in a week. I received no calls after cpl of days and went in to check, I realised my order wasnt even registered as the other personnel cld not find anything, they had just taped my request to the planter and just left it aside. their plant guy arrived at the same time and carelessly said they they dont have them anymore and handed me the dead plant. They hadnt touched the planter, not even emptied it, Not even had the courtesy to call me abt it. Wont be going to this store anymore.

Love this store and everything they carry, but was VERY disappointed with my recent order. I ordered a couch on February 6 and was told by the staff it would take 4-6 weeks for delivery. Keeping this delivery date in mind, I sold my old couch 3 weeks ahead of the estimated time to free up the space. It is 9 weeks into my purchase and no couch yet. I followed up two times and both times was told that the couch is 2 weeks away from shipping.This is passing wrong information/dates to customers and NO it can't be blamed on COVID! COVID has been around for more than a year so delays should already be reflected in shipping/delivery dates and clarified for customers at the time of purchase, I call this passing wrong information/dates to customers. Had I known it would take 12 weeks for my couch to arrive I wouldn't sell my old one 3 weeks into my purchase or chose another one.

Shout out to my favourite local furniture and home décor store Parliament. I especially love running in last minute, where I know I can always find the perfect gift at a very reasonable price. I am obsessed with these coupe glasses (pictured below)! I have bought them for numerous other people now as they get compliments every time I use them. The large selection of Kermodi plants are also an easy go-to gift for all occasions. The staff is always so helpful and very kind. They don’t overdo it. Just the right amount of service for me. They understand their customers. Located in a heritage building in the trendy Main Street area, with gorgeous windows on all sides, the store is a treat to wander through. I don't know who makes the playlist, but I am always vibing to the music when I'm there, totally adds to the experience. Parking close-by is always easy to find.

I wish I knew this place earlier. People here were amazing. Craig spent the time to go over different options and got us the sofa that my wife and I have been waiting for. They also have a rush option to get your sofa within 4 weeks! To add on top of the wonderful experience I had the delivery crews (Sean and Scott from Thomas Transport) were even more amazing. We had a problem with having the sofa moved up the second floor and so they found a way to make it work. My past experience was that "sorry we could not move it up, why not put it in the garage and you figure it out?!) I really appreciate the effort and time they spent to think out of the box to get a solution. There are various furniture shops in Vancouver but I find the service and quality from ordering to delivering set the others apart.

I want to say this store has a lovely collection. Craig was such a fantastic seller. He accommodated my needs and delivered exactly what I was looking for. He helped me find the best design and matching colours and navigated me through the collection to find my style. With his design passion and what I had in mind, we were able to put together a very chic set. I am in love with my guest room. It turned out very lovely and elegant. I also found the perfect bed that have a hidden storage box under the mattress which I searched everywhere to find but no luck and I end up finding it here. Thank you, Craig, for all the help you provided for me. And for the smooth delivery you provided as well.

I stopped in at Parliament earlier tonight right as they were closing - I had seen a plant through the window I quickly wanted to grab as a gift. The lady was wonderful & helped me get the plant out of the window display (so many shop assistants get so huffy these days if you're a last minute shopper). She didn't rush me and still answered my questions in a very informative way (I also asked about a larger plant for future but will pop in when the plant person is in). I love finding owner-operated small businesses to support, and being new to the neighbourhood I'm very happy to have stumbled upon such a beautiful shop with such wonderful staff. I look forward to visiting again!

Every time I walk into Parliament I see a new item that I fall in love with, which is no surprise because they have curated the most exquisite furniture, home accessories, gift items, jewelry, plants.. the list goes on. We recently bought a table and chairs from them which perfectly completed our space & gave it 'designer vibes'. I have also picked up fabulous host/hostess gifts over the years - there is always something to find within differing price points. I cannot wait to see what they have done with the new space on Main St. I will be visiting right away and just know I will come home with a few great new finds to compliment and refresh our home.

Parliament Interiors has been my go-to place for classic-but-modern home furnishings since it opened more than 10 years ago. We constantly get compliments on how we've furnished and decorated our home and honestly, and I just smile and say, "it's all Parliament." I love how the owners are always one step ahead of the next trend: whether it's a splash of colour, a style of lamp, or a statement piece, like toss cushions or wall decor. I'm a huge believer in supporting local when I can, and it feels so good to buy from a Vancouver-based independent retailer, run by these three warm and welcoming Vancouverites.

Had the loveliest experience purchasing my new bed (Conrad Storage Bed) from Parliament. The store is nicely styled and the products are gorgeous - if you buy any furniture pieces, there's also tons of customization options (and that doesn't include the multitude of fabric swatches). We were helped by both Craig and Tina and both provided great service, even as we went back and forth on fabric swatches and colours. They even tried to help us source dressers that fit our bedroom specifications. Highly recommend purchasing furniture from here if you find a piece that catches your eye!

A few years ago after completing a renovation, I visited this store and found some great quality furniture pieces and accessories to complete the living room and dining room area. The staff were really helpful in providing suggestions and ideas during my visit. I have been back a few times looking for different furniture items. Most recently I was looking for a specific type of desk. They did not have what I was looking for but they were able to source what I needed. Got it a few weeks later. The desk looks great in my office. Highly recommend to shop at Parliament Interiors.

Parliament Interiors is always my first stop anytime I'm looking for something new for my home. All of the staff are very helpful and extremely knowledgable about design. They always have such great ideas on how to pull it all together just right (you can tell they've got a great eye for design just by looking around the shop - they've definitely got a passion for what they do and it shows). I've moved several times and I always know my new place needs that "Parliament" touch before it really feels like home.

I went in with my girlfriend looking for a sectional couch, that needed to be a very specific size/layout. We were lucky enough to meet Craig, who made the selection process so easy and enjoyable. He was able to give amazing advice on getting a reasonably priced, custom fit, sectional couch that would fit our unique floor plan perfectly. From there he helped us through selecting the colour/fabric for the couch. Such a great experience overall and worth a 5/5 review for sure!

We just ordered a new sectional, bed and rug as well as two beautiful side chairs from Parliament. We couldn’t be more thrilled …our house looks like a hotel lounge. Very nice stuff. Definitely on the expensive side but you are paying for great quality . All the stuff is made in North Carolina. I didn't know this but a group of owls are called a parliament. Anyway lots of cool owl stuff. Editing my review: Only the sofa line is made in North Carolina. All other stuff is made from various Canadian and US Suppliers. Oopsies.
