Our tiny 8 week old toy poodle broke her leg badly. Vets raised concern regarding sugery and medicine for such a small puppy. Dr Lidbetter was highly recommended by multiple vets. We couldn’t believe he was able to operate on and save such a small leg. We were very impressed with the service and the results. The entire team was very helpful and very kind. Effie’s leg fully recovered and she is bouncing around happily. *Update* Shortly after my last review Effie broke her leg for the second time (in a different place). After getting the x-ray we went straight back to Dr Lidbetter and his team. They fit us in urgently and Effie had her cast on within 24 hours of her accident. They have such an efficient organisation and everyone is so kind. Effie has fully healed and is again bouncing around far more than she should and despite our best efforts she often stands on her hind legs. We are so grateful to this amazing practice and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Dr David Lidbetter came highly recommended from the vet who was able to diagnose my poodles condition. My poodle had IVDD, her back legs were paralysed but still could feel pain. On our initial consultation with Dr David, he told us that my poodle was grade 4, borderline grade 5 and that surgery had to happen ASAP due to fast deteriorating condition. They were able to do the surgery that same day. It’s been more than 2 months after surgery and my poodle is back to normal, she’s happy and active and wants to move around. She can walk normally again. I had around 3 or 4 follow up visits for checkups after surgery. The surgery including xrays were cheaper than what other places charged though it was still a lot of money, I wouldn’t hesitate though to go back here should my dog need surgery.

We took our 7 year old lab (Moses) to Dave and the team for what was originally suspected as an ACL issue. Once Dave took a deeper dive, we found that he had a form of cancer in his rear right leg. The diagnosis wasn’t great but upon further investigation and further tests, we decided to give Moses another lease on life and mainly because of the trust that we had in Dave and his broader team. Moses had is leg amputated this week which can be quite confronting for the owner but far less of an issue for Moses himself apparently and just 48 hours after the event, we find ourselves holding Moses back from what was his original routine. We don’t know what the future will bring, but for now we are so thankful to the team there at Parramatta and will never forget. Thanks guys. The Clarks

Wow, these are the most kind and amazing vets. My puppy broke her elbow and Isobel and the whole team took the very best care of my doggy. I cannot thank the amazing humans at Animal Orthopaedic Specialists enough for their outstanding care and empathy towards me and my dog. I was hesitant about leaving my puppy there overnight but I was soon reassured by the caring staff that really made me feel as though my dog will be loved for her short stay. Even the receptionist was lovely and kind. The facility is very clean and has easy parking. The pricing is more than fair. 10/10 highly recommend these awesome people if unfortunately your pet needs some surgery.

My Labrador Orlando had 4 surgery’s with David before he was 3 years old He had cartilage scraped away from between both front elbows This condition is called OCD where cartilage grows in the wrong area of the elbows in dogs causing extreme pain and discomfort He then went on to have a produce called TPLO done on each knee of both back legs After a long recovery Orlando went onto to live a happy pain free life Just yesterday at the age of 18yrs I had to put my baby Orlando to sleep due to spondylitis of the spine due to old age He had the best life after the surgery’s pain free doing what every dog should do enjoy life

I took my Rottie in for a TPLO (knee surgery) the staff are friendly, very attentive and extremely professional, the setup is spectacular, you can have a room to wait in which is great as my rottie is very nervous at the vets… David who actually brought this to AU is amazing, my dog looks, walks and acts like she never had anything done to her… the operation was explained well, the next steps and what to do was all outlined for me… I was left with no questions and a very well recovered little girl. We would highly recommend

Our Pup unfortunately suffered from a Tibial Avulsion Fracture and we were recommended to seek treatment through Dr. David and his team at Parramatta Veterinary Specialists. Rest assured that your loved one is in great hands. Dr. David and Tracey were more than accomodating to our many requests and questions and not only ensured that our Pup's health was always a priority but that our concerns were addressed. They are great practitioners who provide great service - highly recommended.

Excellent vet, did brilliant work on my dog and only did surgery because it was needed not because chasing money. We always felt like we were in control on every decision. The prices were excellent considering the complex work that was required and the staff were all super friendly and inviting.

David repaired my Jack Russell's broken hip, about 5 years ago now. They were amazing and kept in contact with me all the time. We live in regional NSW. Others had said to amputate, but he advised he could have a go at saving the leg and did!

Our boy Berry had 2 ACL surgeries. The reception, the Nurses & David were amazing. Incredibly supportive towards Berry, My Wife & I. Berry has since recovered and is healthier then ever. Thanks to the Team for all the hard work.
