After getting my puppy right before covid and taking her to PAZ East, I realized it wouldn't be a normal vet visit due to dropoff protocal but I was totally fine with this as I had been recommended to this location from a few friends and colleagues. We had a great experience at the very beginning until my pup got sick and was going more regularly for treatment. You could tell the staff was overwhelmed due to lack of answering the phone and follow-ups. It's also frustrating that they don't schedule a follow-up appointment after your visit so you have to call to check on that date and schedule separately. Dr. Keifer had been great but left to go out of town during COVID in the middle of her treatment and didn't follow up on my pup's condition or ask another Doctor to do so. Thankfully I was able to get Dr. Johnson to assist and she admitted she fell through the cracks and apologized so I was willing to forgive it. A few weeks later, a staff member, Debbie, was so very rude to me and refused to bring my puppy over to my car so I could put her in. While I understand the COVID protocols were changed again, she wasn't abiding by them or simply providing a standard of customer service that should've been given. The manager witnessed the interaction and apologized for her behavior but that was just the final straw for me to be done with this place and move on. EDIT: I found out this employee has been fired from the company. Since then, I decided to take her to my vet friend who recently started at PAZ North and have had a great experience overall because she truly cares and it definitely shows through her treatment plan and follow ups. The staff is very friendly and responsive! Unfortunately, the East location just seems too busy and understaffed to be able to fully provide the care and support they should for a facility that you already pay a premium to visit.

Absolutely love PAZ East!! I have 2 senior dogs and every staff member has been really good with them. Our first visit, the tech was sitting on the floor petting them and you could tell all of the employees truly love animals. They took their time with us and our pets. Every doctor we have worked with has been outstanding. My big dog gets anxiety at the Vet and they are so patient with him and caring. My most recent visit on 2/13 though sealed it for us, we will be patients for life! We woke up and our little dog had a bluish grey film on his right eye. I called PAZ right away and they got him in the same day. The tech and Dr Brunson were so helpful. The tech was holding and petting Arthur to make him comfortable while the Dr focused on diagnosing his issue, Dr Brunson did a great job at explaining the details in a way I could understand and she took her time with us. The next morning they called to check on our little Arthur and we were really worried as his condition seemed to be getting worse and he was very lethargic. They had me send pictures to them and called back saying they would move some things around to get us back in. When we went back in Dr Brunson was genuinely concerned for our little guy and she even went so far as to call a local ophthalmologist to see if they could see us. She was able to get us some meds and drops to keep Arthur comfortable until we can get in with the specialist. She was absolutely amazing from start to finish! She called again this morning on a Saturday to check on him. The care the team at PAZ has for their patients is truly one of a kind. ❤️

Dr. Raegan Wilson is the best doctor I’ve seen in the almost 13 years I’ve been with my pup — and we’ve seen a lot! She is extremely thorough, knowledgeable (has a lot of ER experience), caring, and invested in her patients. She caught something so incredibly rare (liver abscess) and while I was in a bit of denial of this and declined further testing to get to a confirmed diagnosis, she stayed in touch with me a few hours after our visit and helped me understand that I needed to go to the ER when things weren’t getting better and her temp was rising (side note - I never knew how important and telling it could be to take my pups temp and this helped solidify that I needed to go - first vet to educate me on this!). She made it easy for me to get my pup seen by the ER ASAP by sending records over and calling them, and after an emergency life saving surgery to remove the abscess (by the amazing surgeon Dr. Pugliese at CTVSEH), she stayed in touch with the doctors at the hospital and supported me with her second set of eyes on everything throughout the way. We saw her a few times before this emergency for regular visits and I had a LOT of questions that she took the time to answer and has been extremely patient with me throughout it all! I am so incredibly grateful! The office and support staff have also been great responding to my messages in a very timely manner and are always really positive and pleasant when I call or do curbside drop off for visits — good energy all around. Thank you Paz East and Dr. Wilson!!

It felt like they didn’t care. My experience was very reminiscent of going through a medical clinic or fast food drive-thru, in which they asked minimal questions and performed even less inspection before quickly beginning to start prescribing medications that turn you into a repeat customer. The Vet performed almost no physical examination of my dog and was in such a hurry to get to his next patient that he literally told me he was going to see his next patient. $170 for 5 minutes of the Vets time is embarrassing, but the medication works as long as I don’t run out. I wish the MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL had given me the respect of valuing my money so we could do more than a short term fix, but he just wanted me to come back after 2 weeks to get more meds and follow up with another $80 consultation fee. Good thing I didn’t use the meds as often as he suggested (2 a day) because that would have cost me $160 a month just for the pills. Instead, $80 of pills (apparently 2 weeks worth) has lasted me over 6 weeks. Don’t listen to everything someone with a degree says, you probably know more about your dog than they do AND the Vet only gave me exactly what I told him he was going to suggest because I knew he wasn’t going to do any real examination or actually try to find the root of the cause because he doesn’t have enough time or money in his bank account to truly value my dog’s life or the value of the money I work so hard for.

I trusted this place with all of my dog's care (and spent thousands of dollars) since rescuing her 1.5 years ago. It has gone downhill in that time. You will never see the same doctor twice (I think it's due to turnover), and I am no longer confident in the medical care I receive here. My sweet dog recently had a UTI. She was under-prescribed antibiotics (the recommendation length is 10-14 days, and she received 7 days). The UTI went away and then showed signs of returning. I was told she is "resistant" to the antibiotic and they need to run a whole new battery of tests (presumably costing us another $300). I explained she responded well to the antibiotics, but she was not given the recommended full cycle of the meds--and I was going out of town and we couldn't wait on lab tests. Alison, a vet tech, argued with me, insulted my intelligence, and talked over me, convincing me they have no empathy or care for my dog. She also "mentioned" I should have been told to bring my dog back in for a follow-up visit after completing her antibiotics to make sure the UTI was gone (again.... presumably costing us another $300), which I was not told by the doctor previously. Safe to say, I will not be back and this place can kick rocks. Oh--and if it wasn't clear already--you can count on always walking out with a $$$ bill. As others have mentioned, this place seems to care more about money than your pup. Please go elsewhere.

Dr. Wilson is one person who has blown me away by going above and beyond in recent memory. With so many COVID distractions and adjustments, quality of care and customer service are often things that falls to the wayside. I was hesitant to join PAZ because I clocked them as expensive and bougie. However, I have been blown away at every opportunity. The front desk staff remembers me even though we’ve never met. The vet techs genuinely care about my dog. And the prices are totally comparable, if not cheaper than other vets in town. Most importantly, Dr. Wilson caught a tumor that TWO other vets didn’t see as a concern. My dog has cancer and I hate thinking that if I would have found PAZ sooner, she could be healthy and better by now. Dr. Wilson called me on her personal phone after a day of back to back appointments to answer my questions. She’s sent me after hours emails as well. AND she knows the pricing of her industry partners. One of the biggest stressors of medical care is not just the health concerns, but the costs to remedy them. Dr. Wilson is keenly aware of the costs of everything, including the referrals she makes for surgeries and exams that are needed out of office. I can’t over emphasize enough what a blessing Dr. Wilson and her team have been to me and my baby. You have a patient for life. And hopefully a longer one because of you. ❤️

Corner vet has saved my life and my dogs so many times I can't give them enough stars. A couple weeks ago I reached my patience limit with dog and called them asking for puppy Prozac. I have a high energy rescue mixed with anxiety and aggression and she decided to eat my couch. The receptionist took the time to educate me about CBD Oil and I swear my dog is a new woman. She's happier, calmer, NOT lethargic, and not getting into (as much) trouble. It also helped with her finicky appetite. Aside from the CBD Oil day and many other positive experiences (like seeing us on thanksgiving day when Bessie decided to have 3 accidents and I was convinced she had a UTI), this Sunday my dog got attacked and I called them before even calling my mom. I could barely even talk on the phone without bursting into tears. They got Bessie in right away and immediately made me feel so much better. At one point I think I was crying so hard trying to tell the story that the vet tech stopped taking notes and just hugged me. This place feels like family and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my doggie. It is not cheap but well worth it. I like every single employee I've ever met there and the decor makes it feel like my own living room.

First time visitors for this clinic & I wish there were words that matched how truly wonderful of an experience we had. We had to put our pup down a few weeks ago and this office and their staff really made the process as comfortable & seamless as possible for a unfortunate situation like this. My fiancé and I were truly touched by how genuine everyone was. We arrived not too long before closing and they took us in without question. We were worried rushing a process like this would only make the grieving process harder. The vet was patient and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye to our boy. They even gave us a “butterfly kisses” jar full of chocolate kisses to give to our pup during his last few minutes here with us. He left this world a happy pup- and that’s all we ever wanted. A week later we received a hand written card with the kindest words from all the staff that was there with us on that day. I was at a loss for words and have never felt truly touched by a vet clinic like this one. Even despite our being hearts broken, Paz being gentle, patient and kind truly made it easier for us and we are forever grateful!

I’ve been with PAZ for many years. It’s a little pricy compared to others, and I even left them for a small time because of it. I came back because their level of service, knowledge and friendly staff are unmatched. -My dog is leash aggressive so visits to the vet can be stressful. They were so understanding and helped mitigate any issues, it put both of us at ease. -One of my appointments was taking longer than expected because of an emergency and they checked in with me repeatedly to provide updates, you’d think this is a common practice everywhere but its very rare. They offered me beer and coffee while I waited and other options to compensate my time. -I had to put my dog down last year and I really appreciated the experience they created for us. They gave me a buzzer and put us in a candlelit room with pillows and blankets so we could lay down comfortably and spend some time alone together before going through with it. They even had cans of cheese wiz and peanut butter for my furbaby. When I was ready I buzzed them to come in. About a week after they gave me an engraved box with her ashes.

I took my Sheltie Cole to the Corner Vet yesterday because his hip was sore from an injury he sustained as a puppy. I am so glad I did. Dr. Nick and his staff were wonderful, the office is very clean, upbeat, happy, and inviting. Everyone was smiling and I could tell they were happy to be there and truly enjoyed helping animals and their owners. I was also really impressed with their care plan for Cole. Other vets told me that steroid shots were the next step in treating his soreness. These shots come with some tough, long-term side effects that I am not ready to accept. Dr. Nick and his staff introduced my to SIX (!) other therapies that we can follow long term that will greatly improve his life without resorting to steroids. I am ecstatic to say the least. After spending quite a bit of time examining Cole, discussing his home environment and lifestyle, and walk through the different care options and costs, I was expecting a sizable bill. It was half of what I am used to paying at my previous vet. I will be bringing all of my animals to Corner Vet from now on.

I used to bring my dog here when I lived in the neighborhood and his vet was Dr. Senthirajah, but it looks like he isn't there anymore according to the website. Regardless, their receptionists were always super friendly and they've got cold brew on tap which is great. My problem with Paz is that their vets will give you all sorts of stuff like shampoos, medications, etc. without first confirming with you the prices. Veterinary care is not cheap, and it was never about the money because my dog has insurance, it truly is the principle and I wanted to be notified of costs. I found that I would always be bombarded with all of these things and charges I wasn't aware of when I got to the reception desk to check out. My absolute worst experience was when my dog saw Dr. Vaughn (though I can't remember the exact location - it might've been South 1st). He made me feel awful and his tone was awfully judgmental when I asked the cost of whatever he was recommending for my dog at the time.

I chose Paz after moving based upon the good reviews and their appointment availability but will not be returning in the future for a number of reasons. First, accuracy - the front desk staff erroneously entered the weight of my dog at under half of her actual weight and this affected availability of a later prescription. Next, upon a later visit to a different location Paz sent in the wrong quantity of medication to my pharmacy and when I called to inquire about running out I had to wait 3 hours for a call back from Eddie who was rude and combative about correcting the error. Lastly, their pricing model wasn't a fit with a $75 exam fee and nearly everything charged extra on top of the exam fee including services that are typically included in the exam fee at other veterinary practices. If you're in a pinch and the emergency vet wait is long then they can probably fit you in the next morning but I wouldn't choose to have Paz help me with my veterinary care long term.

I can’t recommend Paz enough! Our Shiba helped himself to some caffeine pills in my office while I was in a meeting and not knowing any other vets near my office, we ran to Paz as I’ve heard good things and had my expectations blown away. Despite having no notice and not being an emergency vet, the receptionist immediately understood and grabbed a Dr and others to help while she got us checked in. The office is relaxing, incredibly clean and modern, and very friendly. Everyone from the office team to the techs and vets went out of their way to provide incredible care and communication with us. They offered us a private room to wait in and really turned around an awful day. I was completely blown away. I’m so thankful for them and the care they provided to help our Shiba. I’ve wanted to bring our pups to Paz for a while but wasn’t able to get an appointment in the past and know I understand why. Top tier service from the second you enter until you leave!

I’ve been going to Paz for almost 5 years now. I’ve been to all locations and I’ve always been impressed with them. However, recently they completely blew me away with their service and compassion. Within the last 6 months I’ve had to put two dogs down. Each time they brought me to a private room set up with pillows and blankets, peanut putter, Hershey’s kisses, cheese spray, and other treats to spoil my pup until the end. They even cut out hearts to put on the bandage for the port! The vet cried with me, comforted me with kind words and the tech made sure there was a seamless transition with leaving/paying. Then within the week following I got a card signed by all the staff. ❤️ Putting down a pet is never easy but I was sincerely comforted by the Paz staff in making the process much easier. It was such a positive way to say goodbye. I’m genuinely thankful for them, their love, and kindness during such a difficult time. Thank you Paz! I appreciate you.

Fantastic veterinary clinic in Austin. Staff are really friendly and very responsive. My dog actually loved going there! And when I had to relocate to Singapore earlier this year, and my dog was stranded in Austin waiting to be transported to me, Paz were super helpful. They helped the dog minder with all the special paperwork needed before the flight - and without me needing to ask, they made sure they emailed everything to me as well as the transport company. They confirmed appointments with the minder and the transport company, and when someone noticed that something wasn't what they were expecting, they proactively double-checked to make sure they were sending the right documents. And they were doing all this while dealing with their own covid-related restrictions! (My dog is now safely here in Singapore with me). I wouldn't go anywhere else - except maybe one of their other branches in Austin!

I cannot possibly more highly recommend this puppy kindergarten training class with Kate and Nicole! My rescue puppy was very insecure and reactive when we first adopted him, but he was radiant with confidence after every class we had together! I am blown away by how much he blossomed and grew after each lesson. He is glowing with excited happiness to take on any new challenging life adventure now! Kate is genuinely incredible with her positive training approach, that taught my puppy to learn the most important commands almost instantly! She truly has a magic touch with every puppy and shows them all special loving understanding. Her unbelievable patience translates into all of the pups foundation learning more quickly, and the extra time she took to connect with us was extraordinary! We cannot sincerely thank you enough for all of the energy and effort you put into helping our puppies succeed :)

Feels like they just look for more reasons to run tests on your pet and make more money. Other than that its ok. Edit: Owner replied but I can't reply. Yes you offer diagnostic services but my dog was in just for vaccines and your staff gives you the stink eye if you don't want to go ahead and run all the tests they suggest 'for your pets well being'. My dog injured her knee previously in the year so we had more than a couple vet visits (somewhere else with a surgeon) before in the year and even went to the follow up with the surgeon 2 weeks earlier than the vaccine appointment at Paz Veterinary. In those two weeks my dog must have developed a heart condition because they wanted to run a bunch of tests claiming my dog had something in her heart.. and like I said, the staff will give you the stink eye if you don't just say yes and pay 300 dollars extra when you just came in for a couple vaccines

  • Glenda Maag-Medel

I decided to pick this vet because of all the positive reviews I saw. I was not disappointed! Even though I did not have an appointment and it was my first time in their system they looked for the closest appointment and got me in as quickly as possible, to my luck only 20 min. The front desk is very courteous and the waiting room is very comfortable and nicely decorated. You can tell everyone there is there for the love of animals. I have only been there once and for a minor problem (dog had a bacterial infection on his skin) but the vet and the techs were very reassuring and made sure I had all the information I needed and wanted. It is pricey but I come from out of the city so I am not sure what qualifies as pricey my total was around $200 with $50 of it being the consultation fee. I am for sure coming back! Thanks Dr. Carter and Suzanne for your patience and seeing us so quickly!

I have never had such a more thoughtful, wholistic, veterinary experience. Unfortunately we had to bring our dog, Tito, here for an emergency. Although I knew Paz was not an emergency clinic, they were the closest vet to us at a time at which time was of essence (dog had extremely elevated HR >210). Within 30 seconds of entering, Tito was being examined by 4 doctors, and we were updated with progress every ~15 minutes. For almost 3 hours, Tito received care and was stabilized. We were advised to go to Central Texas Veterinary for overnight care (which, for vet services, I do not recommend AT ALL), but the entire time at Paz was a truly wonderful experience. I would trust them with either of my pets and any other I decide to have in the future. Thank you all so much for your quick + thoughtful work! You all are life savers--literally!

  • Kat Aldrich

We took one of our cats here after we had negative experiences at another clinic in Austin. Our cat, who had been considered “not friendly” at the other clinic, was treated with respect and he loved the vet technician and vet. They were so gentle with them, checked for permission beforehand, and offered us multiple options for treatment. We were even able to get in for a same-day appointment (he had stomach issues that weren’t an emergency but did need to be checked out). They gave us an itemized list of the options, made recommendations, and let us choose. I’ve seen some reviews saying they’re expensive but it was all very reasonable! I’ll be bringing my other cat here for his annual. So far for the one visit, I have nothing but great things to say about the staff and the office was very comfortable. :)

  • Hans Gillan

If you are like me, you care more about your pet than is deemed healthy. Therefore they need that best vet possible. Look no further than Paz! You walk in and the vibe doesn't scream scary vet; there are couches, dog toys and even cold brew on tap complimentary for you! You are greeted kindly and your pet with all the love. The quality of care is visible in their glass doors (see what I did there). The clinic room has clear glass doors to the back (the front is a normal door for privacy) where they do anything with your pet (take samples, tests, etc) so you can watch how your pet is treated. I think that says a lot about the quality of service. On top of that they are very reasonably priced! Can't think of anything negative to say about my experience! They even gave great advice on dog parks to swim!!

  • Bryan Deibel

I’ve been meaning to write a review for the staff at PAZ the past few weeks as they really helped us in a pinch. We were walking with our dog on a Friday night and he got stung by something causing an allergic reaction. That reaction progressively got worse thoughtout the night. By Saturday morning he had really bad hives and welts all over his body. Our normal vet doesn’t have Saturday office hours we called PAZ and they took him in ASAP after we explained the situation. Once they treated him it was back to normal. For an emergency visit on a Saturday morning they were very reasonably priced, extremely accommodating, and friendly. They explained to me everything they needed to do and they were very upfront about how much it would cost. I would recommend them to anyone look for a vet in Austin!

This place has been amazing. I went in with my cat when he had a UTI and they gave me free beer which was great because my nerves were sky rocketing in hopes my kitty was okay and also hoping I wasn’t going to have to pay an arm and a leg to get him help. The procedure all in all wasn’t that expensive, totally doable and there’s also a loan program that lets you do monthly payments and is easy to apply for. Also found out my kitty has problems with his kidneys which is something I didn’t anticipate and I’m extra happy I could bring him in here and that they have lots of availability and don’t make you wait a week to be seen. Also the waiting room is so beautiful and wonderfully put together. Definitely love everything about this place and happy I came in.

  • Carolyn Rzeppa

The attentive care, expertise and genuine compassion at Austin Corner Vet is like nothing we have ever experienced. I recommend this vet all the time and will continue to do so. Dr. Vaughan and his team are an incredible group of people who love what they do and truly love the animals they care for. We moved here earlier this year with our 11 year old Boxer who unfortunately grew ill quickly. The Corner Vet team provided the best possible care for him, educating us on how we could keep him comfortable, providing at-home treatment options and a payment plan that really helped out through the treatment process until the end. I miss our pup every day but feel better knowing he was so well cared for. When we get a new dog, we will go nowhere else :).

  • Sierra Barton

Paz is such a great place! When moving here a few months ago I was very cautious in picking a new vet since my dog comes with a long history of medical issues and I know some vets just see dollar signs with her. Paz has been fantastic. Not only is the aesthetic of the place so so cute and thoughtful, but everybody is extremely nice. My dogs primary vet, Dr Lau is the best vets we have seen in a long line of vets. She is thoughtful, doesn’t jump to conclusions, very thorough and communicates extremely understandably. She truly cares about the well being of the patients, not just getting the most money out of clients. It is also very reasonably priced for the care you are getting. I won’t go anywhere else this is an amazing vet!

  • Alli P.

I started going to Paz East during 2020, they had an organized & safe approach to taking care of my pets while also being conscious of COVID. All the vet techs have been so nice & knowledgable, while I haven’t met any of the vets in person, speaking to them over the phone they have taken as much time as I’ve needed to get my questions answered. Usually thats not a big deal but one of my dogs needed surgery and they made sure I was schooled up before scheduling the surgery. Compassionate + well run facility. Cost of services isn’t “cheap” but certainly lower than my previous vet, North Austin Hospital, where I feel like I nearly drained my bank account each visit. Recommend & crazy convenient for Austin East siders like myself.

  • Meghan Briggs

Horrible horrible horrible. I cannot express what a poor experience I’ve had here on multiple occasions. We’ve had 3 different vets tell us multiple different things in terms of our puppies health which is uneasy for new puppy owners. They’ve miscommunicated and misscheduled us multiple times. The vet tech who came out to get my puppy was passive aggressive and rude. When I voiced my concern to the vet about our poor experience and that we may be going somewhere else he said “ok cool gotcha” ... not a sorry, not a what can I do to fix it. This business is so poorly run, no one is on the same page and they clearly don’t even care that their clients are unhappy. I could not be more disappointed.

  • melody mcclary

Of course I’m not the first person to call a vet in tears and when I did today Dale at Paz was super kind. I didn’t expect to get in since it was already late in the day but they fit us in and stayed an hour late to help us out. Everyone was nice and genuine, no one was in scrubs... just real, good people. We have a new puppy who came along and they were super welcoming of our stow away. There was no pressure or judgement, I felt like I was at my friends house that happened to also be a vet. Our eldest who is ill’s name is Billie Jean and they even played MJ as we headed out the door. I dislike vet offices more than the dentist but not anymore. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

  • Sarah Lenzie

Super disorganized and the customer service here is so whack. I think y'all need to cut back on the cold brew because some of the receptionists were on-edge from the very start. Apparently you are not allowed to simple questions if something wasn't explained to you thoroughly. Unnecessarily combative. Dr. Wilson was disorganized and went back and forth on several things. Halfway through, it seemed like she was treating a new patient as she forgot information from the initial appointment. After I e-mailed to cancel and explained why, I thought I was done with this place. Then, Dr. Wilson decided to call me and upset me further. Very strange customer service practices.

  • Rob Swofford

The compassion shown by Dr Nicholas Kiefer, Dr Jamie Senthiraja the GM Troy Buckland, the nurses and front desk staff at Paz Veterinary East for my six-teen years old shell shocked rescue Cairn Terrier Monkey Swofford April 2019 and me was beyond description. Paz Veterinary helped me and my precious girl through the worst day of my life with grace, acceptance and stern resolve to do the right thing. I’ll forever be grateful and will return with my boy Toby Swofford as he rounds six-teen years as a West Highland White Terrier male with the attendant issues of old age and his inevitable passing away. Awesome doctors, staff, and experience. By far the best place to take your pet in Austin. These folks aren't just looking to sell you unnecessary or excessive steps, nor do they rush you out the door with cheap service so they can jump to the next client. Instead, from the receptionist up front, to the techs, to the doctors themselves, the Corner Vet people are legitimately committed to taking care of your pet and making sure you fully understand what's going on the entire time. If you consider your pet to be a family member and not just an animal, and expect your vet to do the same, this is the place to go.

  • Rebecca Krakow

Can't recommend this vet office more. They are all true animal lovers. My cat is actually happy to go to the vet, they treat her so well. So nice to see vets that care so much for the pets as if they were their own. The vet techs are also really really good at their job. They're very patient with your pet and you can tell they have true compassion for your animal. The vets were happy to explain all of my options to me multiple times when dealing with my very sick cat. (kidney disease) Other things: The hours are great. It's a beautiful space. There's parking and free cold brew. Can't get better than this.

  • Kayla Spears

I've been taking my pets here for a couple of years now. I recently had to send my almost 17yr old blue heeler over the rainbow bridge at this location. As sad as end of life visits are, the experience was honestly all I could ever ask for in that time of need. The private room was beautifully set up including a variety of treats, and chocolate 'goodbye' kisses. Dr. Ray and one of the techs were so so kind and helpful, I can't thank you both enough. You can tell everyone at Paz really cares for each animal that walks through their door. Thank you all for helping me care for my late dog, and my cat zoo.

  • Brian Clark

Dr Vaughan is an excellent veterinarian. He provides a unique perspective on pet care, that focuses on long term happiness of you and your furry friends. He understands the dynamics of pet/owner relationships, and can teach owners how to make their pets feel like part of the family. He went beyond the basic pet care and found the right food and exercise routine to make my dog healthy. He taught me some simple training tricks for my mastiff Rocky, which resulted in us becoming much closer and happier than we ever were before. I would recommend him to anyone looking for the best doc for their pet.

As a first time puppy mom, I was not sure what to look for in a Vet however I am so happy I found PAZ! My puppy and I have loved our experience so far at PAZ, and have had an amazing experience with Dr. Kiefer and our amazing technicians. The staff at PAZ has continually gone out of their way to answer my questions not only regarding my puppy's health but also regarding recommendations for puppy training and daycare. I look forward to every visit at PAZ because the office is clean, appointments start on time, records are sent electronically, and there is free cold brew. Thanks so much!

A continently located vet but overpriced. Spent over $300 for my 5 year old dogs annual exam. In addition, needed a booster 3 weeks later and was charged $60 including a $30 “tech appointment” charge which included less than 2 minutes of the techs time who didn’t take the time to properly weigh my dog and yanked her off clearly in a rush. Clearly not an “appointment.” -Update- Management at PAZ reached out to me to resolve this situation. I still wouldn’t choose to bring my pets back here due to price and the care received but I appreciated managements helpfulness and promptness.

  • Brooke Flores

I thought I loved my old vet and stayed with them for over a year after moving to the east side, but I just switched to PAZ because they are so much closer and WOW I was blown away by this place! There was no wait to make the appointment, to check in, or in the room. Everyone was great and super sensitive and accommodating to the special needs of my scared pup. They took the time to go over everything in detail and talk about pricing and options, and they answered all of my questions. I never write reviews, but my experience here was so great that I had to share!

  • Chloe Costello

We have been taking our sweet vizsla girl to Paz East since she was a puppy. Every visit we always feel taken care of and in good hands, valued and concerns heard, and no visit ever feels rushed. They provide such great knowledge and help, especially for first time dog parents. From puppy vaccinations to random concerns, to her recent spay surgery, we are very taken care of here and are given that enhanced level of care with every visit. We feel so at home here and so does our pup. We will continue to go to Paz East for any and all needs for our pup!!!

  • Cicilie Falbo

The only reason I’m giving two stars is for their incredulously expensive services. On our second visit, today, I got quoted $757 for my 2 dogs’ annual vaccines, heart worm tests and 3 mo. of preventive meds. And that wasn’t including the $145 in meds they wanted to tack on for one of my dog’s seasonal allergies. I declined their services (and still had to pay $64 for the “consultation”), went straight to Emancipet and paid $228 for the exact same services and was in and out quicker (I will admit I got extremely lucky and went on a super slow evening).

  • Whitney Devin

We’ve taken our dogs to Paz since they opened, nearly 10 years now. We tried other vets here and there but always ended up going back. We are in the East office every other week for a shot (I’m too squeamish to do it) so we know the Paz team very well. They have the most capable and high level staff across the board. We’ve had pups with special medical needs and Dr. Wilson always provides personal and quick feedback. The techs and reception staff are truly rock stars. We are Paz fam for life and I thought it was time to make it public!

  • Meltem Ballan

I definitely received a mediocre service for my dog's first visit and checkup. I was wondering if the reason is that my dog has been treated at Emancipet for heartworms. Wait was long and communication of drop off and pick up was not well-defined, vet was either busy or didn't feel like a detailed full check up like heart, and teeth.. It was basically an expressive way of getting preventives. I might still take my dog there because of convenience for basics but for something else I will definitely seek for more through opinions.

  • James Samples

You're paying for that free cold brew trust me. They offered 3 times to express my dogs glands I denied three times assuming it wasn't free. After they insisted I assumed it was free. Nope 30 dollars for a 30 second procedure. I could have taken her to a dog groomer and had her bathed and expressed for that price. Absolutely will never be back here. This place will nickel and dime you to death. Im glad my wife asked me to bring her dog here for her. Don't be fooled by the decor and free cold brew. You're paying for all of it.

  • Yulia

We have been bringing our 9 year old golden Mumford to PAZ east for 4+ years. We’ve had some unfortunate luck but PAZ has been amazing through it all: recovery from ACL & meniscus surgeries, a dog attack, mass removal, + regular check ups & acupuncture. The new location off 7th & old location are both extremely convenient & they are always transparent with pricing, etc. Mumford absolutely adores the staff - he still tries to get into the old Cesar Chavez location Thank you all for all that you do! Mumford approved

  • Ross Dhyne

We cannot recommend Paz Veterinary enough! We've had a few different concerns come up since we adopted our Great Dane and have always felt like we were in the best care here. The staff is always very friendly and caring. One time they even ran outside to carry our 125 lb. dog inside when he passed out on the sidewalk. Dr. Senthirajah and Dr. Kiefer are wonderful and have really treated our dog and us well! Finally, the offices (we've also visited the S. 1st location) are modern and a space you actually want to be in.

  • Angela Kocur

Curbside service during covid-19. Just bring your furry friend, & call the number posted right in front of your parking space period tell them what parking space number you are in, and they will come get your furry friend for a checkup/ vet visit. No need to go inside. I took my dog to them for the first time, they took her inside gave her a nail trim and a routine checkup. They were very polite and very professional. Three locations to choose from, this just happened to be the one closest to my home.

  • Bobby J

This is by far one of the most professional and friendly vet offices I've been to. All the vet techs are just so patient in walking through all the details and the same can be said for the vets. We've seen Dr. Riddick and Webb. I'm constantly pleased with the service and knowledge of the staff. My only piece of feedback is on pricing - it's certainly not the most affordable care in town. But well worth the expense for what you get. I even took out pet insurance to make it more accessible for me.

  • Adria Escalante

After years at a big chain vet, we decided to try PAZ. What an incredible difference, not only in care, but in the overall vet experience! PAZ is unique, it’s like visiting a friend down the street, who also happens to be a vet. The staff is kind, caring and knowledgeable, the clinic is comfortable, relaxing and homey - and it’s right in our neighborhood, not inside a giant pet store. We now take both our dogs exclusively to PAZ, and are so thankful for the care they receive. Thank you PAZ!

  • Mari Martinez

PAZ VET was the first visit for Gizmo and he felt so at ease with both the Tech and the Vet. He is such a mush when it comes to getting attention and making him feel special. But it was their expertise that got me sold. Coming to Austin this PAZ VET place was exactly like it was described in the previous customer reviews posted. Friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. This is exactly what Gizmo needs and we have both found a wonderful place for both of us. Thank you Paz Vet!

  • Asia askew

We were visiting from out of town when our Frenchie Louie appeared to have an eye infection. Called and got an appointment that same day. They offered curbside service due to Covid, but I felt well informed of everything and felt comfortable with my dog being in their care. I work at a vets office back home and was super impressed with this place. Dr. Kiefer was great and so was the rest of the staff I dealt with. This will be Louie’s vet when we move there.

  • Jodie Collins

I am so grateful to have found this clinic when we moved to the Austin area last year. I am especially thankful for their TCM (Chinese Medicine) vet, Dr. Laurie Johnson who has worked wonders with my two Senior girls, who each have various things going on. The acupuncture and herbal therapies are a great compliment to the western medicine. This is truly how healthcare should be for all of us - the best of both worlds. Also, we love the great staff. :)

  • Kell Simon

I was very happy with everything at Austin Corner Vet. They were able to see us as new patients the same day we called. The technician and vet were both great with my dog and explained everything well. They did not seem to be interested in over-treating or over-prescribing, and the price was very reasonable. We will definitely be back (not, I hope, for more treatment of Zephyr's injury, but for regular check-ups). Thanks Austin Corner Vet!!!

  • Brittany Ziegler

I’ve only been here twice, but each visit has been a great experience! The front desk staff is always friendly and full of positive energy. Today I was lucky enough to have Dale helping me get checked in and out. He was so helpful along with the rest of the staff that helped me out today. The vet really cares and you can tell they want what’s best for your pets. Fun, cool, and attentive environment for you and your furry family members.

  • Sydney Clagett

I love bringing my pet to Paz. The staff is always communicative, helpful, and kind. The office is clean and welcoming. Whether there for a routine check up or for a small emergency, it’s easy to relax and trust the doctors and techs; they’re all professional and clearly love animals. I moved to the area 3 years ago and have yet to have something negative to say. Paz is the quality veterinary care I want for my padfooted family members.

  • Crissy Booe

They are always quick to respond and get you in very fast for appointments. It is expensive and they do push you for lots of follow ups. They tend to question my decision as a long time dog owner and make me feel like I am abusing my pet, even though she is a perfectly healthy arthritic 14 year old. They don’t work well with online pet pharmacies so you have to go in monthly for your prescriptions, that really sucks and is inconvenient.

  • Nick Schnitzer

Man, this place is the best vet in town! We've taken both our dogs there for years now and thankfully, we've only had to go infrequently. However, my most recent visit reminded me how chill and professional they are at the same time. They clearly pay attention to animals, while also creating a super pleasant vibe for us humans as well. Thanks for keeping it real on the East Side at a time when everybody and their mom is fakin the funk!

  • Malieh Ahadi

The staff and on call vet at Paz were nothing short of amazing! They were so kind and patient with my little Aurelia’s quirky anxiety when she goes to the vet. They gave her treats and pets and luvz. Never seen her so at ease when being at the vet. They even mentioned they would call to check up on her and they really did!! Definitely my favorites in Austin to take my kitties to in the future & furever as long as I live here!

  • Chad Estes

I have a Maine Coon and a puppy and Paz has been wonderful. I had some issues with my cat's previous veterinary that forced me to look for a replacement. After some internet searching I decided to give Paz (previously Corner Vet) a try. Boy did I hit the jackpot. Everyone there is extremely nice, and basically the entire staff comes in to see my cat and dog when I visit, bringing treats and smiles. Can't recommend enough!

  • S NICHOLS

I'm so happy I chose to go here! First off, the place is so adorable. Second, every one working from reception to techs to the vet was exceptionally nice, helpful, and extremely accommodating. I have a large bully breed dog and they handled him so well, and helped me keep him away from other dogs, because he's still working on making dog friends. They were so loving to Chance and very gentle with him. I loved it all!

  • Charles Bastian

We took our cat (Spud) in today, after trying to find a good Vet over the weekend. Every other Vet's office we tried would not even accept reservations. And, they all had 2+ hour waits. The doctor was great, the helper was great. Everything about the experience was great. We will definitely return here when we have to take our dog (Rowen) to the Vet. Great service, great atmosphere, good prices, and no wait...

  • Isabella Ayala

We are new to Austin and had an INCREDIBLE vet in Chicago and didn't think we would find another like them. PAZ has an incredible level of service and as questions have come up after my dog's appointment I have been able to email back and forth with Dr. Carter. This level of service and compassion not just for the dogs but for the worried pet parent goes beyond 5 stars in my book. Thank you PAZ vet family!

  • Jessica Keigley

We could not have had a better experience at PAZ over the last several months with our 9 month golden retriever, Baits! Baits LOVES everyone and excitedly sprints in. The team always takes the time to answer my many questions and follows up the day after the appointment to see how Baits is doing. We could not be more thankful for the care and thoughtfulness of this team! They treat Baits like their own.

  • Paul Burkhaulter

I left a highly regarded veterinarian when relocating to downtown Austin. On our first visit, everyone at PAZ did an outstanding job at making us feel welcome and that my boy Shelby would be well taken care of. Dr. Kiefer and staff were happy to provide their suggested treatments but also let me decided on the best route. I couldn't recommend anyone to take care of you special pal more than PAZ.

  • M Caruso

The team here and the facilities far exceed my expectations. When my 13 year old best friend's health declined I brought him here to let him go in peace with dignity. He closed his eyes for the final time while he lay on my chest, purring for the first time in weeks, knowing that he was loved. I will always be thankful for the amazing experience here and I can't recommend them highly enough.

  • Gloria Hamilton

Dr. Wilson and the Paz East staff are truly the best! I have three high maintenance English Bulldogs so are often in the vet. Paz is always kind, professional and responsive to my questions and my doggies needs. Due to their great care, my pups have overcome liver, kidney, eye issues and more. I highly recommend Paz East to anyone who wants the best care for their furry family members

  • Ashley

Hands down the best and most attentive vet ever. Not only is the clinic as cute as can be, but the staff is amazing. Dr. Jamie is professional, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about all of his fur patients. We take both our cat and pupper here and couldn’t be more pleased. Thank you for always accommodating us and taking such good care of our furbabies, Dr. Jamie and PAZ!

  • Hanh Hoang

I have been taking all three of my pups to Paz Vet East since moving back in 2019. We have always been so pleased with all the staff to include front desk, techs, veterinarians! They treat my doggos like royalty. The vets have all been wonderful. The atmosphere is very conducive to anxious dogs and even thru Covid they remained open and kept all of us safe. Would recommend!!!!

  • Pavielle Babai-Pirouz

My fur baby has been in a health decline for 2 years. He was 16 years old when he failed to wake up one day. He kept breathing, but he was non responsive. I was crushed and deviated. I could not think clearly. Paz took me in right away without an appointment and let me take my time with him in his last moments. Thank you, paz staff, for caring for our needs so tenderly.

  • Benjamin Dornbush

I can’t say enough amazing this about Paz. I go to the East location and throughout the pandemic and into the new space, the team has been such a joy to interact with. Every single person I’ve interacted with here is friendly, informative, and cares not just about my pets health but providing excellent customer service. Thank you Paz! Looking forward to my next visit!

  • David Cruz

They were good with my cat but they refused to update my Chewy order without my cat coming in even though he needs the food to live (as regular food will cause him pain then death). I don't appreciate a vet clinic that will hold my cat's health hostage because it has been 14 months since his last appointment. I'll be choosing someone else that puts pets first.

  • Stephanie Sammons

It has a more relaxed and less "clinical" feel to it than other vets I've been to. I have a nervous pitbull who doesn't really like strangers but they're patient with her and make her feel comfortable. They've also been able to squeeze me in when I had acute emergencies (she got pneumonia and needed to be seen ASAP, my other dog got a gash and needed stitches)

  • Emily Ohrtman

I just moved to Austin a few months ago and, so far, have been loving this place for my kitties! We’ve had a couple of really tough emergencies and they have always been extremely kind and patient. The vets are realistic and do a good job explaining your options, without pressuring you to spend more than you can. I’m super happy I found this place.

  • Jessica Long

The staff at Paz is always so friendly and welcoming, and they fawn over my pup! The vets are flexible and really make sure that you get on the right treatment plans for your dog or cat. They never seem rushed or annoyed, and get right down on the floor with the dogs. Love it there, and so does my Ruby (mostly because she gets all the treats tho).

  • June Patty

PAZ Veterinary provides outstanding care for our 2 French bulldogs!! Recently we have had stomach issues with one of them. Even on the busiest of days the staff is extremely caring and accommodating. The veterinarians are very knowledgeable and do not rush through the office visit. We could not be more pleased and highly recommend PAZ Veterinary!!

  • Sarah Saxton-Frump

These folks take such good care of my pup and have phenomenal customer service. They make it so easy with automated medication reminders, email receipts, and phone call reminders for appointments. My puppy has been sick twice so far and they've made sure he was taken care of ASAP -- and their staff is sweet and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

  • Tommy Patrick

These guys really took good care of my kitty, she had some ear problems and they got her all fixed up and happy again. The staff is super nice, from the lady that picked kitty up, Dr Kiefer was great and did a good job explaining everything, to the the lady who took the payment. They will take good care of your furry friends

  • Julie Green Williams

We LOVE PAZ! Always welcoming as a dog owner, always welcoming and comforting to our doggie Bailey. Fair and reasonable pricing and excellent care. Alternatives always introduced and discussed. It's such a relief to have such wonderful care and it's so close to home on the East Side of Austin! Thank you PAZ!

  • Becca J.

Paz has never let me down with my senior chihuahua who has needed much care. Their holistic Dr. Johnson is wonderful and helped develop a second opinion from another vet who almost put my baby down. It's been a week later and my baby is doing great. I almost made the worst decision without them.

  • Anne Marie Bessacini

I brought my dog to this vet for the first time this morning and I've already recommended it to like 3 friends with pets. The office is soooo cute and doesn't feel sterile like a normal vet's office. They are dog lovers and were sooo sweet and compassionate to make my dog feel right at home <3

  • Jacob Lawson

This office and the doctors within have been nothing but incredible as they have helped with my dog's longterm care. Despite a period of difficulty treating, the doctors stayed optimistic and diligent, and have never given up on us or our dog. I couldn't recommend a better veterinarian.

  • Karina A

I was sad to leave my vet in Houston after moving back to ATX but fell in LOVE with Paz East! The facility is great. They have a little box of toys available for the pups in the lobby. Dr. Heidi Naschimi was so sweet and very knowledgeable. Very happy and at ease with the switch.

  • Maggie McMahon

Brought my dog in when he was in pain and shaking and we didn't know what was wrong. The vet and rest of the staff were so friendly and caring to both me and my dog. Highly recommend for how helpful and thoughtful they are and the overall positive experience we had.

  • Daniel Lee

Amazing staff! Genuinely caring and great to work with! They have always been so good to us and my girl isn’t as sketched out when we go to Vet now. I also think the warm physical atmosphere inside makes it a little More Comforting when we go! Definitely recommend.

  • Michele Genzardi - Wild Hearted Woman

We absolutely love Dr. Laurie Johnson!!! We followed her from a different practice and she’s truly just amazing with our dog. She listens to our concerns, and we never feel rushed. We love PAZ as well, the lobby is great and the staff is just amazing.

  • Toni Karlin

We are so glad to have them so close by! We’ve had such great service there. The staff is very friendly and it’s a pleasure letting them take care of our 2 cats and 3 dogs! The Veterinarians and techs are very thorough and responsive to our needs!

  • Alma Sierra

We love Paz, and our dog loves them more. The vets and vet techs do everything to make your pet comfortable, and our pup loves the peanut butter snack she gets while the vet gives her her shots. Our dog always leaves happy and relaxed.

  • thunderwood

I can't recommend PAZ East enough. Thank you Allison, Dr. Wilson, and Dr. Garcia for providing excellent care and for making us feel comfortable when our little guy was in need. They made a difficult experience more manageable.

  • Ann West

This clinic is AWESOME! Super friendly staff. The atmosphere is calm and our dog doesn’t seem to realize she’s at the vet! I love that they didn’t push us to do things their way but instead gave us options for treatment.

  • Jacqueline Flores

Dr Lau and the entire staff is great. They are always thorough, patient, and very caring. My cat gets extremely anxious and aggressive at the vet but they always handle her w care and make her feel as safe as possible

  • Heath Beauchamp

Traveling the country in a bus. My dog got a hot spot and needed some antibiotics. Pav’s was able to see me that day I called (two days before Thanksgiving). It was a lovely experience from start to finish. Thank you!

  • Stephanie Hennings

Amazing service and the best vet clinic I have ever been to - the staff is so genuinely kind and helpful. Thank you so much Paz for everything - it means so much to have you all care for our furry friends as we do.

  • Justin Turconi

Most thorough and insightful vet visit I’ve ever had. Staff was friendly and the Dr was very knowledgeable in a wide spectrum of potential solutions, vs just writing a script or running a list of tests.

  • Jennifer cox

First visit and had a great experience. They were friendly and treated my dog like they really cared about him. Prices are fair and they seemed to want to keep my cost low, which is much appreciated!

  • Bravo Tango

I adopted a 1.5 year old kitty from APA and established care here today. Everyone was friendly, the vet was knowledgeable, and the techs did a good job of cutting the nails of my squirmy new friend.

  • Sylvia Machado

This place is amazing, treated with the up most respect. My Roxie was so sick and suffering so bad, I had to put baby of 14 years down. I was able to stay with her as long as I needed and wanted to.

  • Katie Vincent

Always super caring, you can tell they have my dogs best interest at heart. I’ve even just called for advice before and since they know my dog they’re happy to talk me through any concerns I have.

  • jackson atkins

The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Also a very pleasant waiting area with couches and beverages to chill with your animal friend before the appointment.

  • Nate Johnson

Friendly, well-informed staff, reasonable appointment times, do a great job of explaining why they recommend a certain treatment plan or course of action.

  • Farzana Sedillo

Always friendly people on the phone and front office. Easy to make appointments. Multiple locations. Vets and assistants get along great with our pup.

  • Danie Garrison

We love the care that we receive at Paz east. Dr Garcia has been wonderful, and we appreciate how caring they are for our baby. Highly recommend!

  • Maggie Harper

WONDERFUL experience with the folks at the clinic today. They were able to get me in with the urgent care vet within the hour at no extra charge.
