I used to take my dog to Pet Planet for many years, mainly because it was close to home. Our experiences there were never great but never bad enough to stop going. His hair was always cut properly but he always seemed to have a few knicks in his skin. The last time I took my dog, the person who greeted us was looking for reasons to turn my dog away for grooming services. My dog is a tiny 8lb dog who has high anxiety when he leaves the house, so I completely understand why they would be hesitant to cut his hair. On one occasion, we were advised he had loose teeth so he needed to have his teeth extracted before they would groom him again. On the next visit, all his teeth were extracted and even then, the person attending us was looking through his file for some reason to turn us away before finally agreeing to groom him. When we went to pick him up, his hair was cut terribly. It was completely uneven everywhere and the lady did nothing but complain about one thing after the next and said that he was distrubing the other dogs. Again, I completely understand her frustration and totally empathize with the difficulty of cutting my dog's hair but her attitude was completely unprofessional and her lack of accountability for doing a terrible job was enough for me to never want to take my dog back there again. Rather than find excuses and create a terrible customer experience, next time try being open and honest upfront and express your concerns or hesitations directly. Transparency goes a long way.

I will continue to shop at Pet Planet for our dog food & treats because the store staff is very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I do not recommend the groomer, Brittany, at this location. I took my Yorkie in to be groomed and received a call that he was "flailing". We have never had any issues with his grooming before, other than my personal preference on facial grooming, so this was very surprising. I should've been weary, as when I was dropping off my dog, another lady was picking up her soaking wet dog that the groomer also refused to complete the groom on. We ended up completing the groom on his body at home, where he didn't move an inch, let alone "flail about" - looking for a new groomer to complete his face now.

Good store for when you need the food or supplies you're looking for. But ever since Damien isn't working there anymore, the quality of my two dogs' grooming has dropped... I understand that sometimes people just want to hurry up and get home after a long day, but if you're going to do a hurried job and charge me such a high price... I don't think I'll go back there again. The lady in Jasper Gates does such a wonderful job, and it only costs like 115... but here, I was charged 130 for two dogs, when there was a choppy job done on my terrier shitzu mix... I don't want to have to do touch ups at home, after paying that much... come on guys!... it's not only about the money...

On Wednesday I phoned this place to see when Katy had next available appointment for grooming Zeus? Fortunately someone had canceled and noon was good for me!! It has been YEARS for me to find someone who could clean Zeus’s paws? Katy heard exactly what I was saying and did the best job in years for my expectations.!! I had my dog there on a previous trim and was not a good experience.. but Katy made up for the other groomers experience.. she heard me she made me happy!! And I will continue to see Katy anytime!’ Thanks again for a amazing experience Katy.

I dislike this location for 1 very important fact. Their large cost-effective dog kibble bags are all placed against the windows facing west! That means their dog food gets heat up everyday, all afternoon until sunset! The bag exterior gets hot to the touch and I can't imagine the inside of those bags if you open one when hot... probably all sweaty and moist there... They should block the windows glass with some big cardboard ad, or blackout curtains or at least some good sun blocking film.

Worst grooming followed by the worst touch up ever. I asked for a refund for the initial grooming and was told by the owner they dont offer refunds only redos. This picture is a result of his redo. I asked for him to be cleaned up around his private area and they shaved him one line up his chest and down to the flesh everywhere. DO NOT bring your pets here. The owner promised to meet me for the redo and never showed up. And this is what my senior dog is left with for the winter.

It is hard not to recommend Pet Planet - and their team - with an absolutely positive rating. When asking about speciality products, the staff was quick to point out what they had, why they carried it and even went so far as to make a few calls for one very obscure product we were looking for. Going here also means supporting a local entrepreneur and our community. Right on!

Been shopping at this store for months but when I need their help on a return they shut me down. A bad product but no it's our policy no returns. This is the 3rd time that their product made my dog sick. Hey but who cares it's just a dog they love pets. BS money it king and a value customer means nothing. So I will never go there again. I can spend my money elsewhere.

I like Pet Planet a lot, it's a great place to shop to keep your dollars in your community and province. I've been to 4 of them in Edmonton. This one being way up north had a very good selection of items. I'm used to my local Pet Planet going above and beyond for me, and while this location would not, I can't fault them too much for being just fine.

These people clearly care about the animals and the guardians that come in! I can ask questions, gush about my own furbabies and the laugh, listen to stories of their animal adventures, and just feel very welcomed and wanted there. PS For all grooming needs see Katie! I have had many many dogs who hated grooming and nails, and they LOVED her!

It was a good pet shop as well with their decent selection of pet products. They also got the trusted brands here so if you need a quick buy, just come to this place. I'm also definite that your pets would enjoy the toys available here so I bought two for my mom's dogs and I was not even surprised that they enjoy playing with those toys.

Attendants are very friendly ,helpful and knowledgeable. They would give suggestions and recommendations on what is best for your pet. We were not asked to pay for the crate that our dog destroyed during his visit. We are new to Edmonton but we trust that this is the place where we can buy what is best for our furbaby. …

Pet Planet Namao is amazing! I locked my keys in my car while going there to shop. The young sales lady was so helpful. She let me use the store phone and chatted with my until help showed up. She made an embarassing and annoying situation funny and copable . Thank you! Oct.4 at 4:10.

Pet planet has good products and their part time weekend employees are great to deal with. I feel their prices are on the premium side and their space is quite small. I almost feel like a bull in a china shop, being very careful not to knock any off the products off the shelf.

Had both my pups groomed here today. We saw Brittney, both of my pups were groomed to perfection. Highly recommend for all your grooming services & pet supplies. Awesome location, friendly staff and just knowing your fur babies are in good hands makes it all that much better.

Nice clean, organized little store with good one on one service. Lots of different treats and accessories for your pet. Had our Shih Tzu groomed there came home well trimmed and less stressed than visits to other groomers. Will definitely be going back.

Mango looks amazing after her grooming. It was a great value, and completed in a reasonable time. She was super happy when we picked her up and kept trying to cuddle with the groomer. Highly recommended, we will be back for sure

Got my dog groomed a few weeks back. They did a great job getting the undercoat out but didn't trim his paws, tail or rear end like I had asked when I dropped him off.

A more personal store, if you need any help regarding your dogs they are great to talk with. Not pushy, they are there to help guide you to what you might need.
