Honestly the best pet store in the area. The staff are very attentive and know most if not all their clients by name. You just need to spend no more than 5 minutes inside to see that. There is a very warm and welcome atmosphere in the store. They are very generous with many sales and promotions, often offering a lot of "freebies" and gifts as well as treats for visiting dogs. We use their awesome in store dog wash often. The dog wash is very reasonably priced and you get shampoo as well as towels included in the low fee. We even adopted a kitten from the adoption charity/rescue that they host in their store. They often have community events and help to fund animal rescues. The food selection is by far the biggest I have seen in any pet store. They retail many Canadian pet food brands which is nice to know while shopping and contributing to our own economy. The store is conveniently located and there is ample parking, even parking for folks with wheel chairs. This location has a great in store grooming service as well which we have used several times with great satisfaction.We have been patrons for at least 8 years if not longer than that. I would not shop anywhere else for pet food, toys and supplies. Overall a great place to shop for all your pet needs!

Unfortunately, my interactions with a particular cashier have consistently fallen short of acceptable standards. This middle age lady who is a cashier at your store has consistently demonstrated a lack of customer service skills and professionalism. I have observed a recurring pattern of rudeness, attitude, and inappropriate remarks during my visits, creating a negative and unwelcoming atmosphere everytime I interact with her. As a customer, I believe that such behavior is unacceptable and undermines the reputation of your store. I will never come back to this location. She needs to be trained in proper customer service as she clearly lacks it. I value the services and products offered by Pet Valu, and it is disheartening to encounter such a lack of courtesy and professionalism from a staff member. I believe that addressing and rectifying this issue is crucial to maintaining a positive shopping experience for all customers. I give this location ZERO OUT OF FIVE STARS for the experience I constantly receive from this lady. Someone mention in the review that she is rude to this Indian lady at the store and I can attest to that as I have witness this in person. She needs to be fired.

Called ahead of time about coming in for a dog bath, was told I can come and everything was ready. Stuff gets worse from here on. Water was ICE cold, we did not bathe the dog simply because it was cold and didn't not warm up after 10min. No shampoo was provided anywhere, no towels, not to mention this location charges more than other places (clearly for no reason). Staff did not even notice that we didn't bathe the dog, they were too busy talking about their personal lives the entire time we were there. Pro's: -Nice location -Lots of inventory Con's: -Ice cold water (we did not bathe the dog due to this) -No shampoo/conditioner -No towels --Unprofessional and RUDE staff which were too busy talking about their personal lives the entire time we were there. -Should mention they charge more at this location than other Pet value locations (clearly for nothing) Overall horrible experience.

I came with my dog to use the self wash station, after she got all muddy at the dog park. Half way through the bath, the manager came up to me saying this is ridiculous and I cant bring my dog here when she's muddy. She was very rude and unprofessional, talking disrespectfully about me and my dog to other customers. There's no sign saying that I cant bring my dog here to bath her when she's muddy, isn't that the whole point of the self dog wash station? She was also complaining about the mess which I was going to clean up after, even though it says " Our pet experts clean up the mess". It's even advertised to bring in your muddy dog. Very unhappy with how I was treated at this location. The dryer was also terrible, as the nozzle kept falling off and wouldn't stay on.

I had the most out of the world, amazing experience at Pet Valu. The employees were kind, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to get to know me and my pet and ensure they provided the best service. Natasha was very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations for my cat. The other two girls were quick to show me where I can find the things I needed. I have to say, this is the best service I’ve ever received. I will be sure to come back for all of my pet-related needs and refer all my pet-owner friends and family to only come here! These employees really care about their customers and animals and it shows in how they treat you. Well done Pet Valu!

Went here for dog wash as we were closer to this location than our usual heartland location. The staff didnt seem to want to help and there are only 2 shampoos to choose from.. oatmeal or puppy. Whereas the heartland location had 5 ranging from regular to extreme odour to tick shampoo. When asked if there were any other shampoos besides oatmeal or puppy like....regular shampoo. The guy told me "nope those are the free unless you wanna buy". Well thanks so much. The aprons here also smells worse than my dog pre-washed! Also, no dog treats here despite it being advertised everywhere!!! Will not be coming back.

I came to the store yesterday, and am honestly astounded reading the previous negative comments recently. When every time I go in on Saturdays, I receive a *VERY* welcoming greeting from the “white lady” actually pretty pointless having to include that honestly. I love how all people in the store are distinguished by their race in these comments. I’m sure there’s more than one white lady that works there lmao. Im not sure what all the negative comments are for as I’ve had a very positive experience with ALL the employees and always receive great service.

Took my boi Scooter for a bath. The tub area was really nice and clean and well organized. I asked for more shampoo and it was readily provided. The water pressure could have been better (otherwise would have rated 5 stars) but not the customer service, it was excellent. Natasha (hope I remembered your name correctly) and Haley are awesome at customer service. Scooter didn't like his bath so much but he sure liked the treats he was given. We'll be back.

Just left the store. One of the employees who was talking to a customer who must have been her friend about another customer who was using the dog wash choice of collar. I found this very unprofessional as the employee didn't even seem to care that she was talking about how she felt about people's choice of collars for their dogs infront of me knowing that I was a customer and while the customer who she was clearly talking about was in the store

Dog Wash review - I've been using the dog wash over the winter and find it clean and well maintained. We were thinking of using the groomer however I did additional research and found reviews from other sites on the actual groomer's former business and they weren't great. I plan to do more research on groomers before making a review on that, just like a hair stylist/barber they do make mistakes and some can be consistently bad :)

Out of all the pet stores that I have visited, I can honestly say that Pet Valu surpasses them all in customer service, variety / product quality, and pricing! I recently purchased a puppy, and the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me get started with what I would need to keep my puppy happy and healthy. I will definitely be visiting this location( Erin Mills store) again. Thank you Pet Valu!!!

Bye far the best Pet Valu in the Mississauga. The staff here are very welcoming and friendly. They’re very helpful with all my questions about my dog and cats health/dietary needs. Great selection of various types of foods, toys and accessories. We take our dog to get bathed here, and we find the facilities always clean and ready to use.

First time coming to this location for the self serve bath but have always gone to the Heartland location. In comparison, less busy, clean facility. However, there was one choice of shampoo and conditioner, a broken dog tether, lack of towels, 0 treats, and an unhelpful customer service rep that was a little too judgmental of my dog.

Favourite location! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They are well stocked and never run out of what we need. We go to this location often for our cat and dog supplies. They have a dog wash station as well that is either self serve or you can book an appointment with the groomers. Always look forward to seeing Manny!

Very kind. I was bringing my dog in for a grooming. I walked her before leaving the house. Walked her outside the shop in the little grassy area. But she was so nervous and anxious she had an accident right inside the front door. The worker insured me accidents happen all the time. I felt horrible, but she was very kind.

Found the products I needed but the staff member I was talking to was not very knowledgeable. Not to mention she was walking around the store bouncing a dog ball, and making a personal call on the phone loud enough for the whole store to hear. Not the best experience I've had here before.

I was so pleased with the knowledge of staff and the willingness to help. I was looking for a product which was out of stock. The staff went out of there way to go to another location and pick it up for me. Customer service and the array of products are by far a reason to keep going back.

Had my pup groomed here. The cut was great. His nails were short as they should be. The groomer was not all that friendly however I don't think she was feeling well so that may not be her normal demeanour. I would definatly go back to find out. Would also highly reccomend.

This location has an extremely helpful and kind staff, and a large selection of pet supplies. By the second visit, I was set up with a rewards card and my cat is happy eating the new food the gentleman suggested and the samples they gave him to try. Highly recommended!

Great staff! Always eager to assist you and meet our furbaby. We really liked the owner as well. Raj is great and always there to help you with your purchases. We just wish they have all kinds of body leash for small breeds. Overall it's a good store and well managed.

Friendly staff and great place to take your dog for a wash. I have a 100 pound Doberman and having the self serve wash station was a dream. Only wish it it had hot air for the blow dryer as cold air on a cold dog is cruel. But they have towels so that did the job!

I took my dog to be groomed by Monika for the first time. Could not be happier. I got my dog back clean, happy and well groomed. Monika was very nice and groomed my dog the way I requested. My dog was not stressed after, so I am sure she was treated very well.

The staff here is so well versed in their product. I usually come in the day time where a lovely lady is the one to help me out and she always has the best recomendations for my pets diet and play. Loyal customer and will always recommend this place.

Amazing store as a new pet owner i went in very confused but the employees there were very welcoming and got me exactly what i needed and got rid of any confusion i had. This is definitely going to be my new go to place for all my pet needs.

I went in recently to purchase food for my new pet Pomeranian. I am a first time dog owner and I was pleasantly surprised at how knowledgeable, friendly and courteous the staff was. I will consider this over other pet stores any day

Used the self serve dog bath station for my puppy. Water was cold (the heating tank had run out) and they had 1 shampoo which was very heavily scented. Although the staff were pleasant, pup wasn't happy - would not recommend.

Great Service, But I'm not sure what was up with their Water systems, the Dog Bathes water temperature was the same as Lake Ontario, hopefully they fix this once lockdown is over. Bad experience this one time.

Prices are high ($4 more for a lrg bag of premium cat food than at other chains) and the people working there are unfriendly. Only go sometimes because the location is convenient.

Nice and clean facility. The dog wash seemed well maintained. I wish there was 3 or 4 aprons instead of only 2. When we were there a couple washing one dog took both aprons.

Raj was very kind in helping me locate the appropriate food for my puppy. He showed great customer service. I will definitely return because of that wonderful experience.
