We have been to Pets Villa several times and generally liked their grooming services. However, we had a terrible experience today because of the way we were treated by the staff at the reception. We booked a grooming session at 11 am yet the staff did not show up until 11.10 (me and my dog had to wait in the rain during this time). The staff at the reception was v arrogant and rude, and kept saying ‘no idea’ without an apology, when responding to my questions like whether/when I can have my dog groomed, and how to deal with this, etc. Given her poor attitude and the little info I had, I requested to speak to her manager. Yet she first made a call to another people using a different language (which she thought I did not understand) complaining that I was v upset and said bad words about her and cursed her (OMG liar, which I absolutely did not!). I pointed it out immediately and asked her to explain what she was doing while urging her to call the manager. THIS is serious--a form of discrimination and is related to a trust issue! Fortunately, we got to speak to the manager and had their response very soon. We hope the store could improve the employee performance and tailor the training accordingly especially for those who are the most important connections between customers and the store.

our F1 cavapoo … 4 hours after a grooming she went in at 5pm and got out at 9pm … totally uneven shaved coat we have had to book her in another groomers to be fixed at the end of February the groomer seemed very embarrassed by what she looked like and knocked money off …. She is not a big dog and for a groom to take 4 hours and for me to tell the groomer she needs her face trimming …. Not happy at all update …. After the comment below ….no dog should be in grooming for 4 hours … we was not told the groomer was in isolation and would not of taken the appointment…. I refuse to bring Elsie back and request a refund her fur has not grown back as yet as the shave was to the skin Maybe some sort of compensation is due a free coat to keep her warm … she was due a modelling job but this has had to be cancelled due to the state of the cut …. Came to the pet villa today, with my friend and her puppy, her puppy is 6months. They did an introduction session to get her comfortable with grooming as it was her first time getting groomed , etc. The place is beautiful, well kept. Very gorgeous and hygienic. The staff/owners: are lovely people very friendly to us and the animals. The clothes for pets are so cute, the beds are stunning and so well priced. The dog came back from the grooming room, smelling lovely, fur is feeling soft and was very calm not stressed at all. The owner said to us that he wouldn’t do anything to stress the puppy. overall such a lovely time at the shop. Will never go anywhere else again! pets at home is a huge no no now. They have a great selection of food too. Booked in the puppy again for a full grooming in a few week. Look forward to seeing them again. highly recommend!!

Carla is brilliant, but when she's not in the service is poor. I ordered dog food into the shop after trying a sample a few weeks ago, and it was delayed due to being out of stock at the manufacturer which was fine. Carla just said to ring or pop in a couple of times a week for an update. I called last week and the other lady blamed me, saying it wasn't even ordered because I didn't pay in advance (this wasn't even offered or required). Spoke to Carla Thursday and she said it had arrived into storage and would be in store this week. Rang today to see if it's ready yet as my dog's other food is finished, and the other lady insists again I didn't even order it and that it hadn't arrived. It's so frustrating, and a shame I'll need to give up on using a local store because of the service when she has days off

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I booked a grooming service for my kitten, paid 15£ deposit and went to the appointment when the lady at the reception asked me if he was fully vaccinated, I told her he had his first round of vaccines and was due for the rest in a couple of days. She said they couldn't take it because it was a risk for the kitten and the workers of the shop, I said fair enough... as he's due this week can you reschedule his appointment after that when it's safe to do it? They said just NO without giving me a proper explanation of why the appointment couldn't be reschedule for the future weeks after his 2nd vaccines or anything, but instead took the 15£ deposit. Ridiculous. Never again

Gave 2 because the stuff looks lovely, and I’ve had a lot of compliments on it but my cat tree broke within a couple month of purchase, and considering the price this shouldn’t really happen that quickly? I messaged to company and they said sorry they had no guarantee outwith the 14 days return, so couldn’t offer a replacement for the broken part. Don’t think I’ll use them again, but again the stuff does look nice.

Booked grooming but puppy became sick and spend 24 h in hospital between life and death. Vet doesn't allow to make grooming after it. I ve read policy about non-refundable deposit, but I thought serious health issue can be reason for cancellation without penalty of £15. Their online system doesn't work well, I couldn't book online appointment, also when I called day time - no one answer.

Horrible. Worst groomers in town. Not only did they not wash or groom my dog, they also refused to refund my deposit. Kept my dog inside for an hour to 'kill time' and after 45 min I was called to be informed that they need at least 3 hours to wash a 10 kg dog... Extremely rude and unprofessional staff that prioritizes deposit retention over providing the service that has been paid for.

A fantastic experience, wonderful groom the best my lovely little cavapoo has ever had. The ladies in the shop were so attentive and really kind and caring towards Ivy. They could see she was a little nervous, so played with her and got to know her before they started. We are booked in again and looking forward to it!

What a wonderful groomer, thank you Pets Villa for making our little boy so handsome! After his groom everyone was stopping and fussing him in the street. The groomer was patient and his attention to detail was excellent. This is the best cut he’s ever had. Highly recommended! Definitely come back again.

Extremely cute dog styling services. Made both of my girlies absolutely angelic I’ve been to so many groomers around bham and even tried ones in London, this is honestly the best that I’ve been so far. Would definitely come back and they offer cute clothes/dresses for dogs and cats too …

Amazing groomers. Took my young standard poodle for his first ever groom today. They have done such a good job on him, I can’t stop looking at him. He is so soft and smells fabulous. They are very friendly and welcoming in their shop which is well equipped with pet supplies. I highly recommend them.

Taking Bailey to Pet Villa was one of our best decision we've made. This was her first time at the groomers and they took care of her amazingly. Baileys fur, paws, everything just looked amazing. Thank you Pet Villa for taking care of our little pup! Will definitely return for her next session.

I couldn’t recommend Pets Villa enough! We took our puppy for her first groom and she came out looking amazing. She was a bit nervous as it was her first time but the groomers dealt with her so well, as did the lady on the front desk. Very happy with the service we received.
