Where is the zero rating star? It should be awarded to the most psychotic and rude customer assistant I ever encountered: Sarah at Animal Tuckerbox in Murray street, Hobart. She does not have the basic manners and intellect. Here is the story; I went to the counter with some budgie seed and millet packs, and asked Sarah to tell me what type of seeds were in the brown packet. Sarah said ‘just seeds’ and that she could not open the pack so I asked to speak to her colleague who seems more knowledged. Her colleague arrived and was trying to tell me what was inside the package, when the psycho Sarah started to rip the pack with her nails. Then blaming me for ripping the pack. Such hilarious scene! I told her I would not rip a pack with my fingers as there is a better way to do with scissors... There is no stopping Sarah the cleva! She decided to take a pair of scissors and cut the paper! Then told me to leave the shop... which I did very happily. Who will want to buy from a paycho, ignorant and incompetent.

It was a great pleasure to be helped by two accommodating staff members this evening while making my first purchase. I received all the valuable advice and suggestions I needed to get the fish I wanted, as well as the supplies necessary for its care. It was enjoyable discussing their background knowledge and knowledge of currently owned fish. Overall, it was truly an amazing experience - I will definitely be returning for future needs!

This is my first place to visit when I need to get something for my fish. I'm new in taking care of fish and I got help from the staff here. They helped me to find the right items (filter, aerator etc) for our aquarium, tips on how to take care of the fish fry, etc. Not many varieties of fish there, may be because it was during their stock taking time.

a wonderful store, with all the products i need and friendly staff , who are very helpful and particularly martin who i had the privilege to guide me on the appropriate products to buy for my Maltese terrier, martin is a wonderful asset to petstock in the hobart store and im looking forward to having him serve me on my next purchase.

Walked in today for a look and found the staff very helpful & friendly. Store is well laid out & everything well presented. Great range and pricing appears very competitive. Impressive 7 day opening hours as well. Will definitely go back soon to purchase requirements for our new kitten.

Good range and friendly staff, the place to go if you are wanting horse food..however, check your bank balance before buying bales of lucerne..any hay from a shop is wickedly expensive at the moment (tho it will be the best type of hay!) 8/10

Considering the site and size of the Hobart city store they still have a great range of pet and animal feed, toys and bedding plus a good selection of aquarium supplies plus small birds for sale.

The Hobart store is the best Animal Tuckerbox by far. All of the fish tanks are clean and the fish are healthy. Great staff. The other locations should use the Hobart store as an example.

Well laid out pet merchandise store. Reasonable prices and helpful staff. I purchased a bag of very heavy poultry food and a staff member carried it out to the car for me.

Both ladies very helpful with my query. Some good quality pet food, not cheap but from past visits they do have sales. Would recommend this store.

Always super friendly staff who always offer to help carry the dog food to the car. Get pretty much everything i need for the dogs here.
