"Invited to brunch at this gorgeous cafe the other day which I have been to a few times in the past! What we had: Avocado Toast ft avo smash, a cherry tomato medley, diced pineapple, beetroot hummus, delicious feta and topped with some fresh herbs served on multigrain bread Pinkie Ricotta Hotcakes ft honey ricotta, cream cheese, lemon crumble, candied lemon, passionfruit curd and maple syrup ✨ What we enjoyed most: - We loved the addition of pineapple to the avo toast, I know it sounds weird but it worked soooo well and was a totally different take on previous smashed avos we have had"
Updated Review We recently revisited Pinkie to try the new menu. Such a popular cafe in Ivanhoe, it’s always busy & buzzing with hungry customers. The Salmon & Avo bowl has to be one of my all time favourite brunch dishes. The torched salmon makes a nice change from your standard smoked salmon & the flavour of the sriracha kewpie mayo, pickled ginger & brown rice is a delicious combination. The dulce ricotta pancakes are the perfect choice for a sweet tooth & with very generous portion sizes, you definitely won’t leave hungry. Thanks again for having us in. Original Review Pinkie is located on Westley Avenue in Ivanhoe. It has a beautiful fitout with plenty of plants & not surprisingly, pink. I was excited to check it out as I’m a huge fan of No. 19, their sister cafe. It was a warm, muggy day so we started with cold drinks, an iced latte & an iced hazelnut. The iced hazelnut was a delicious combination of espresso, hazelnut, coconut milk & ice which was a lovely change from my usual iced latte. We ordered a few dishes to share & a couple of smoothies, the nutberry smoothie & the Schwarzenegger, stunning colours & absolutely divine. The açai bowl was perfect for the hot day. A very pretty bowl filled with açai, organic crumble, banana, peanut butter & fruit, such a tasty combination. The corn & halloumi fritters were a standout. Served with bacon, spinach, poached egg & beetroot creme fraiche we opted to add halloumi. The presentation of this dish was stunning, the pop of colour from the beetroot creme fraiche was so impressive. We adored this dish, the flavours were incredible & the creme fraiche worked perfectly with the fritters. The superfood salad was also sensational, a huge bowl filled with kale, quinoa, avocado, Granny Smith apple, halloumi, almonds, goji berries, chia & a sumac hummus. We also added grilled chicken which was well cooked & full of flavour. This was such a filling & delicious salad, all the flavours worked so well together & I could happily eat this everyday. The staff at Pinkie were super friendly & efficient and it’s such a fantastic venue. I loved the range of dishes on the menu, it’s so refreshing to have some delicious & healthy options. I can’t wait to come back & try more of the menu, thanks so much for having us.
Pinkie boasts some seriously delicious avocado toast. Visually impressive, stacked high and laden with pomegranate seeds and layered atop beetroot hummus, it’s even more flavoursome with the addition of the cured salmon. This was a generous serve and by the time I demolished it and set about the pear and raspberry bircher I was extremely full (the mango lassi and snickers smoothies contributed to this also). Hubs had the chilli scrambled with a side of haloumi which he really enjoyed. Another great experience Update I was invited back to Pinkie to check out their new menu and wowee that banana bread French toast was absolutely delicious. They are totally nailing the new offerings with an equally impressive lemon and coconut bircher for those with less of a sweet tooth, the crispy meringue and dots of lemon curd combined with the subtle coconut flavour is a surefire winner. My dining companion had the grilled salmon on rye toast with a poached egg and marvelled how at far how brunch dishes have come. Super friendly staff and an aesthetic space, shame we aren’t local! Original review We were invited to Pinkie today and I was pretty excited to try it out. I loved the pink tones on the chairs and in little pops across the space. The menu echoed a few dishes from No19 (a sister cafe to Pinkie) and I gravitated straight to the beetroot and hibiscus latte I didn’t get around to trying at their original cafe. I’ve had beetroot lattes before but was intrigued by the addition of hibiscus and figured if there was ever a time to sip a pink beverage it would be at Pinkies. It has quite a turmeric taste to it which can never be a bad thing in Melbourne winter. Husband got the chilli scrambled eggs sans bread with a side of mushrooms. I didn’t try his dish but was impressed with how prettily it was presented. I went for the PB and jelly porridge which was a great combination and a great idea given it’s a classic pairing they everyone loves. A fabulous choice for a cold morning. For ‘dessert’ I had to try the salty sweet pancakes that have been doing the rounds on instagram. This generously portioned and gorgeously plated well balanced dish was a unique flavour combination well worth trying for something a bit different.
Had a lovely catch up with my friend at Pinkie in Ivanhoe. \Space\ The place is nicely set up with the outdoor area being covered also so you don't have to worry too much about the wind or rain. And I love the amount of plants they have around, really nice feel. \Food\ We ordered the breakfast salmon, the shroom and pinkie hotcakes and the berry mix and snickers smoothie. Kinda wish there was one more sweet option on the menu, as bircher is a bit cold for Melbourne winter days. The breakfast salmon had a nice cook to it, so it was still nice and soft inside with a crispy skin and the hollandaise was delicious (I stole some mushrooms from the other dish and just dipped in the hollandaise too haha). The mango salsa was an unusual touch and we were skeptical that it'd be sweet as they're not in season, but they managed to do a good job ! And it didn't taste like canned or frozen either. The mushroom dish was a solid vegetarian option and it was quite tasty, mushrooms were full of flavour and well cooked and it looked pretty like a picture! Was really impressed by the presentation of the hotcakes with the little strawberry rose on top and the glaze on top, although it was still tasty, I personally found it a bit sweet after a few bites and the hotcakes were on the denser side (not sure if it was because it left it for a little while trying to finish our savoury first) I didn't go and try my friend's berry mix smoothie, but I loved my snickers one! Peanuty goodness to soothe my soul <3 \Staff\ The staff were super friendly! They would have little chats with customers, especially the regulars so if you like when your barista remembers you, this is the place to go! Our drinks seemed to have been forgotten, which can happen and we totally understand, they were very apologetic and got it for us straight away. Really lovely service! Thank you for having us!
I had a bad experience here today. Arrived at 12.30pm and was "seated" but didn't get menus or water until about 12.40 (and watched several other customers arrive, be seated, and given water and menus). Cafe was not extremely busy and there were 8-10 tables vacant. I ordered coffee and a meal (mushroom meal) once the waitress came with water and menus. Over the next 30 minutes I continued to watch other people receive their meals, who were seated and served *after* our table. Waitress came to say that there was a "mix up with the chef" and that my food would be ready in a few minutes, and several other tables were served their meals in the meantime. I believed that it would take a few minutes because the meal is mushrooms and toast, not a complicated meal. It wasn't ready a few minutes, and 15-20 minutes later (when the waitress came to apologise again on her way from serving two more meals at a table that arrived after us), I decided to leave (about 1.15pm, which was 45 minutes after arriving). Waitress said the food was now ready at 1.15pm and I could take the food take-away but didn't offer any remedy for my order not being logged properly other than "sorry". No coffees on the house, no offer to discount or gift the meal I'd been waiting ages for and no longer had time to eat. It felt clear to me that when the "mix up with the chef" was sorted out (i.e. when my order was actually placed), my order didn't get put FIRST in the queue as the customer waiting the longest, it just went in next after all the other orders that went in after me. Incredibly frustrating experience when you're hungry and on a 60 minute lunch break, 45 minutes lost wasting my time to not be fed. I would not go back.

I think the price point reflects highly the good quality of food and insane effort put into the presentation of their dishes.
I recently visited the Pinkie Cafe and overall, I had a mixed experience. While the food was great and the service was decent, the cluttered spacing detracted from the overall atmosphere. The tables were crammed together, which made it difficult to move around and enjoy my meal. I felt like I was sitting on top of other patrons, and the lack of privacy made it challenging to have a comfortable conversation. The overall decor was nice, but the cramped seating arrangement left me feeling claustrophobic. However, the food quality was excellent. My meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The menu had a variety of options, and I appreciated the attention to detail in the preparation and presentation. The service was decent, but it didn't stand out. The staff was friendly enough, but there were a few times when I had to flag someone down for assistance. While it wasn't bad, it didn't leave a lasting impression. Overall, I would recommend the Pinkie Cafe for the delicious food, but be prepared for a cluttered and cramped atmosphere. The service was okay, but nothing extraordinary. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat, this cafe is worth a try.

Located just off the main Ivanhoe strip with plenty of surrounding parking options, Pinkie opened approximately 7 months ago providing a bright open space, lovely decor, scrumptious menu options with plating skills on point. Of course we could not go past ordering the instaworthy wellness "Pink" latte, a beetroot and hibiscus latte topped perfectly with raspberries. I'm glad I gave this a try, however I do prefer the taste of a Turmeric latte. Next came the Schwarzenegger smoothie comprising of Protein, blueberries, peanut butter, maple, cinnamon, cocoa nibs and almond milk. What a delicious and colourful combination. On to the Bacon Cheeseburger with Wagyu, bacon, green tomato, cheddar, sriracha aioli and chips. A burger with a chilli kick and a very tasty tender meat patty. I have no doubt I would order this again. The Corn Toast was on my brunch wish list. This comprised of charred corn, miso butter, bacon, herbs and a poached egg on toast. While I did enjoy it, the highlight of the brunch was most definitely the Sweet n' Salty pancakes. The "fluffiest" pancakes I have ever had with whipped honey ricotta, salty dulce de leche, banana, raspberry and white chocolate crumbs. YUM.
A combination of all the best things in life is a day off with a filling brunch and good weather! Everything from Instagram favourites - (Hot Cakes with Chocolate Ganache) to modern brunch classics (Benedict, Scramble and Steaks)to more exotic dishes (Bircher and Beany pumpkin eggs) are on the menu at the effortlessly stylish @pinkieivanhoe in The heart of Ivanhoe. So If you’re a fan of all things cute and quaint you will love this pretty brunch room, which specialises in sweet and savoury classics! They have a strong selection of drinks including the delicious Bananarama and Mango Lassi, trust me these two gotta be your summer favourites. The menu is mouth watering and diverse, from your usual fare of Eggs to a brekky bowls and a range of brunch plates and burgers. After one visit here, I am certain you’ll fall in love with this bright and contemporary café just like I have. The food is fantastic, the staff are friendly and helpful, and best of all it has a lovely welcoming atmosphere.

Giving it a 2 stars just to be polite. Whole experience was disappointing, I felt the same as to those that wondered about the good reviews. I had to go over to the staff to let her know table has became available. We were with a toddle, every second of waiting is painful. When I suggested to her we will take the smaller table, she said it is a bit small, but she suggested us to sit at the outdoor bar, where the table is even smaller, where the high chair does not reach… if it was really a concern, then the next to the table I suggested had a free table to be moved over, but she did nothing. Then they got our order wrong, I had to watch them eat, my food didn’t come till they finished. Would have tolerated all this if the food was any good. The chicken burger was dismal, salmon was blend at best. Coffee was bitter. The place is nice but food and service was disappointing, we were really hoping that we have found a local brunch place. Pity.

Great food, great coffee, they do all the current fad hot drinks, like Matcha and Tumeric and they are all surprisingly Good! These people take pride in their Barista service so even for a quick takeaway it's well worth dropping in. There are also pre-made breakfast items to take away like Granola or Bircher muesli. The reason I am giving "Atmosphere" a three, is because it's an incredibly noisy place (terrible acoustics,) and it's often completely packed out. It's a bit squashy or feels that way and you really need to just zone in on your own experience to have a good one. These days I find takeaway the best option unless you're arriving at the tail end of food service which is 3pm. Drinks and further fresh premade items, including Cakes and Slices, are available for sit in or takeout until 4pm. They even have dog treats to purchase if memory serves me well. And fresh Freckles for a homeward bound munch. 8½/10

Pinkie Hotcakes - the hotcakes were super thick and fluffy, pairing with orange and dark choc is instant heaven! In contrast the vanilla mascarpone toned down some of that sweetness. If there was ice cream to add more moistness it would make this dish complete! A very filling and enjoyable hotcake dish. Pinkie Benedict - so impressed at the size of that homemade hash brown! Generally not a fan of pulled pork (but I can’t say no to potato ) I found the pork had plenty of flavour and was tender and moist and brought some oomph to the dish. The Shroom - the mushrooms were simply bursting with flavour! I feel the Romesco sauce wasn’t really needed since the mushrooms were so good! There’s a bit of variety with the poached eggs and asparagus and toast as well. Also had the matcha and beetroot latte and it was lovely!

Adorable cafe, beautiful interior and phenomenal food. FOOD: We ordered the Tiramisu Pancakes and Pulled Pork Benedict and they couldn’t be more perfect if they tried. The pancakes are an absolute gem and it truly was a perfect combination - from the pancakes to the toppings to the cream, everything about the dish was perfect from start to finish and for $19 I can safely say that it is definitely a bang for your buck because it was SUBSTANTIAL. The pulled pork benedict was also really lovely and was a HUMONGOUS portion so if you’re hungry, you’ll be happy! It was cooked really uniquely and the flavours of salty and sweet was absolutely perfect SERVICE: Service was lovely and friendly! Pinkie is not just a pretty face (cafe), it proves itself with its amazing food and if you’re ever around Ivanhoe, don’t hesitate giving Pinkie a chance because I pinkie promise, you will not regret it ;)
Came here while exploring the area and enjoyed a faultless experience. We chose a little table outside, not under cover to enjoy the bright, airy breeze and were offered a larger table under cover - it was a thoughtful gesture. There was a good variety on the menu to tempt all tastebuds and we soon placed our order. Our salmon and avo bowls were satisfying with fresh, wholesome slices of lightly torched salmon, avocado, pickled ginger, spinach and sriracha mayo on a bed of brown rice. The combination was simple and tasty with the mayo adding interest. My friend enjoyed her Shroom, which tasted as good as it looked. Service was prompt and friendly throughout. They even let us pay individually. The atmosphere inside had the kind of modern chic I like. This is the kind of experience that brings people back. Nice one Pinkie!
A healthy, tasty brunch. Lovely selection to choose from on the menu. All the food coming out of the kitchen looked delish. Great service. Smiley staff. Cant wait to bring more friends back to this hidden treasure. Going to work my way through the menu.

Great cafe for brekkie/lunch in Ivanhoe with lovely indoor and outdoor seating If you are looking for excellent food that aesthetically pleasing for eyes and amazing coffee than do your self a favour to visit @pinkieivanhoe you won’t be disappointed. The staffs are also very friendly and helpful. This beautiful cafe is located beneath an apartment building less then 5 minutes walk from Ivanhoe station There are plenty 3P available in front of the shop. They have plenty of healthy options too Must Try: The Hotcakes, OMG sooo Good!!! So fluffy and not overly sweet The avocado toast and the shroom were very delicious too, the best! Follow me on IG @kristinesubagiyo for more food reviews
A great find in the Ivanhoe area off the main street. We were greeted with friendly faces and shown over to our table. The menu had a nice selection of dishes to choose from. We chose the Avocado toast and the Triple Chocolate pancakes. For drinks we had a coffee and hot chocolate. The Avocado toast was lovely and delicious from the heirloom tomatoes to the nicely grilled halloumi on top. The Triple Chocolate pancakes was a nice sweet dish. The chocolate mousse went well with the vanilla crème patisserie. The coffee was a nice blend and the hot chocolate was nice too. The piece of chocolate in the hot choc went down a treat! Nice to know there is a lovely café that isn’t too far away from home. Thank you Pinkie for having us.
I have said it before I say it again - this cafe is legit in Top 5 Boujee Brunchspots in Melbourne. A full fledged brunch menu that looks good and tastes even better. Pick from the regular brunch favourites or the specials of the week but don't forget to try their iconic Beetroot Latte and wholesome Acai Bowl. Kids specials also available. Best place for your weekly corporate catch ups or family birthday meets. We had - Classic Acai bowl, Beetroot latte, Green smoothie, Snickers Smoothie, Ricotta Hotcakes and Lamb Skewers from the specials. Can't rate and recommend this place highly enough. What I really like about this place is its true value for money, fab portions, great taste and sassy lookin food. MOJO LEVEL - 5/5
Went here, ordered muffin with eggs and bacon asked to not have barbecue sauce bec didn’t like the taste and guess what? Got the muffin and yup! it was oozing with barbecue sauce. We asked the staff to see if we can have one without the sauce, she went as asked (she’s really nice btw) and was told that apparently the muffins are “pre-made”? And can’t give us another one. I mean it’s ridiculous how are they pre-made? It doesn’t make sense. They could’ve just have one of those “pre-made” ones and skip the sauce part. I’m sure they don’t put sauces on bread way ahead of time. Anyways had to scape off as much sauce. Will not come back here again.

Food was great, highly recommend the pinkie royale as a unique dish. Unfortunately though the coffee temperature is an issue for this venue. I had 3 coffees and all were luke warm at best. I haven’t left a google review before on a restaurant but I feel compelled to tell consumers about the systemic issues with either their barista or coffee roasting process. I had to return a coffee and ask for a much hotter coffee and it was still an issue which is a concern. Proceed to enjoy food at this venue but be cautious of your coffee expectations when ordering.

Glad to be back at this beautiful cafe with their incredible dishes! This cafe has to be one of the most popular cafe in Ivanhoe and not surprising that they are! What we ordered: Pinkie Hotcakes - Gorgeous and yummy hotcakes. Perhaps they could be made a little lighter and fluffier. Otherwise delicious flavours and beautiful presentation Fried Chicken Burger - Delicious flavours with generous portion. Very satisfying chicken burger! Salmon & Avo bowl - A delicious healthier brunch option. The salmon was perfectly cooked. Yumm We also had: Mixed Berry Smoothie Mango Lassi Both are quite smooth and delicious drinks We’re looking forward to try their dishes in the menu next time!
Visited on a weekday and they were still pretty busy! Tried out several dishes which were all quite delicious - The Pinkie Cheeseburger ($19.5) was juicy and had a generous amount of sauce that kept every bite moist. The Shrooms ($20) dish was so flavourful and had such a big pile of mushrooms! The mixture of portobello mushrooms and enoki was a nice touch. The Salmon Steak ($22) was outstanding! Had to be my fave with the crispy crispy skin sitting on a delicious sweet potato rosti. The poach was perfect and the hollandaise was silky and buttery. Overall such a great little spot! Their Matcha latte ($5) and Green smoothie ($9.5) was also very tasty.
I get coffee here multiple times a week and have been for the past year. I'm very impressed with their staff, they're all kind, welcoming and friendly. I've only eaten here a handful of times (chilli eggs and pancakes) and I can't fault them their either. I've given 4 stars instead of 5 (probably could be 4.5) is because of their coffee. I love the taste and coffee beans they use, but I find that there are inconsistencies with my orders. I'm a flat white drinker and absolutely hate froth (obviously) but sometimes I get heaps of it, which does annoy me at times because the take-away cups are quite small, leaving me with less coffee than I'd prefer!
The perfect place to take your 4 legged friend in any season. Pinkie has the best outdoor covered and heated space that is dog friendly, they even sell goodies with your pups to enjoy. Loved the smashed avo, the beetroot hummus was a great flavour enhancer to this dish. The Eggs Benedict not only looked incredible it taste yummy too. They do a beautiful soy latte as well!

Amazing cafe for brekkie/ brunch. This bustling cafe is dog friendly with pink water bowls throughout the outdoor seating area. Friendly service too. The corn fritters with beetroot creme friache was light, tender and full of flavour. The pancakes were also delicious and filling, I loved the generous blueberry, vanilla cream, mango curd and maple topping! On top of that were crunchy walnuts and coconut granola which added the crunch texture. The acai bowl was different to your typical acai, again loved the toppings and flavour but I'm partial to a thicker consistency. Great coffee, pretty beetroot and hibiscus latte and nutberry smoothie.
Pinkie is a very aesthetic and fantastic cafe. They have a big menu, with lots of food and drink choices for both breakfast and lunch. We ordered; soy and matcha latte, scrambled eggs with avocado, ricotta pancakes with chocolate sauce and orange and potato hash with smoked salmon, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. My favourite was the potato hash as it was very tasty and filling. The pancakes were a bit dense and whipped ricotta was so yummy. This is a good dish to share as dessert as it is decadent. Definitely check this cafe out when in the Ivanhoe area!

I've been to Pinkie before and it was even better the second time. I can't visit without ordering one of their trademark smoothies, which were as good as ever. The pb banana and the nut berry were both super nutty and thick and beautiful. My soy coffee was also great. To eat, I chose the kale and apple and haloumi salad which is one of my favourite salads in Melbourne. I also tried the super umami-rich mushrooms on toast and the decadent dulce de leche and ricotta pancakes. The only thing I don't like about Pinkie is that the space can get a bit cramped at times, but otherwise the food and space and service are really nice.
What a brekkie date! Salmon Steak ($22) I absolutely devoured this dish! The salmon sauce brings this dish together and there was nothing I would change about the combination of a rosti, salmon and turmeric cauliflower. Pinkie Benedict ($19) This was little sister's dish. Her eyes were wide open when this was put in front of her and was extremely filling. The rosti was a stand-up in this dish. Pinkie Hotcakes ($19.50) As you can see, we had some fun with this dish and the dark chocolate ganache we drizzled over it before digging in. The hotcakes were light and fluffy, and we loved it...crumble and all
So insanely instaworthy and pink! @pinkieivanhoe, pink cafes are the new big thing it seems i visited this one with my mum and we had an absolute blast ♀️ Matcha Latte & Beetroot Latte art on point (a freaking swan!!) , plus the food is stunning for the gram! Top picks for food that day would be the superfood salad $17.50 + Egg and Halloumi - so so delicious !! It was a great to balance all the chips I consumed alongside the burger hahaha. Hot cakes ($19.50) were a lovely way to finish

We had an amazing time at this cafe and the service was really good and on point. We went on a 10am busy rush hour and cafe was bustling with people which was nice to see. During our visit we ordered; • the smashed avo with poached egg and Halloumi • the Shroom - consisting of mushrooms with leek puree and asparagus and poached egg on sourdough toast • Pinkie Hotcakes - just a delicious classic which cannot go wrong • green smoothie and Vita bliss juice . We absolutely loved this place offering many options to order from. . So do check out @pinkieivanhoe when you get a chance.
First time visiting and we had a great experience! We really enjoyed our two meals and coffees - large generous portions, we underestimated ourselves and could’ve gone without ordering add ons but that’s a good thing Both food and drinks came out surprisingly quickly even though they were super busy which was great! Thank you to all the staff for providing great service , Lauren was really lovely. We will definitely be back — one of the better cafes we’ve visited lately! Thanks again guys

We were very disappointed with our visit here having heard it was a great place for brunch. Firstly the atmosphere was oppressive with people seated very close together and due to all the concrete and glass the sound was intense making it hard to concentrate. In addition to that the food, although presented very beautifully, was nothing special. Other reviews have mentioned good service, however we did not experience this instead waiting about 15-20 minutes to be served. Pricing was on par with what you pay to eat out these days. On the positive side there was good coffee.
Unsure why this gets such good reviews. The cafe us beautiful, staff is friendly and atmosphere is fun however that's as good as it gets. Coffee was bitter and over priced, the food took 40 minutes to get to the table... plus I'm vegan and found all the vegan options were just okay, could have more variety... I feel this place relies a lot of their looks and their local reputation. Sad to say i don't reccomened this place they seem focus too much on looks/instragamable moments, neglecting the food flavour. Locals love this place don't be fooled by the line.
Smoothie and açai bowl were absolutely delicious, but we left half the açai bowl as we witnessed the waiter pet a couple of dogs then went inside and proceeded to serve food. Sorry but that’s a massive no no, go wash your hands before handling anyone’s meal. Made us sick so we stopped eating got up and left. This is the only reason we won’t return, because if you can do that under the watching eyes of your customers, what goes on behind the scenes. Btw: food was yummy, just the hygiene part put us off

Food was outstanding. Great variety and options for a brunch place. Service was slow, as we had been a couple of times but had to wait a solid 10-15mins to be served every time. Staff seems to lack training and not very observant when it comes to greeting customers waiting to have their orders taken (even during quiet periods). We’ll definitely be coming back for the great menu but customer service requires more attention and training :)

Can’t wait to come back! Amazing food and really lovely staff. We also worked from Pinkie for a few hours and the staff were super accomodating and friendly. The only struggle we had was deciding what we wanted to eat. Sooo many menu items to choose from made this super hard because everything looked delicious. We ended up settling on mushroom on toast, chicken with jasmine rice and hot cakes. We’ll definitely be back.

A lovely cafe situated in the leafy suburb of Ivanhoe. Friendly staff who are sociable, a menu with a variety of options and delicious food. What we ordered: Pinkie Hotcakes Greens and Grains Bowl (GF option) Salmon and Avo Bowl (GF option) My friend and I dined here on a bustling morning. My friend is coeliac so we decided to get a dish each and share one. We were so impressed with serving sizes and how delicious the food was. The pinkie hotcakes were such a highlight - boosting with flavours!
This is a very cute cafe just at the back of the more busy streets. I had a fantastic smoothie while my party had a classic eggs breakfast which they loved. The cafe looks well designed but the acoustics are not great hence my scoring. Everyone was talking loudly due to the absence of sound absorption. Mineral wood panels and some pinboards on wall could definitely help.

If you're looking for a brunch spot with good food and vibes, you've got to visit Pinkie. The plating and presentation of food is spot on as well (perfect for the gram)! We had the 'big breakfast', hotcakes and salmon. I'll let the photos do the talking. Hard to decide on my favourite dish, as all 3 were so tasty. The green smoothie was so good too. Beetroot latte had a little spice kick to it. Plenty of parking in the area as well, so don't stress about finding a lot.
Pretty gobsmacked by how moronic the kitchen staff believe some customers are. My cousin had asked for a egg and bacon muffin without barbecue sauce, and then they brought it out oozing with barbecue sauce. When she raised this, their excuse was this it was ‘pre-made’. Could they seriously not be bothered making another one without barbecue sauce? Also, not sure how other chefs would feel about something as basic as an egg and bacon muffin being pre-made.
I felt healthier just from reading the menu at Pinkie. This is a seriously diverse all day breakfast and lunch menu. The chilli scrambled eggs with just the right amount of chilli were presented with a bit of hummus spin. The avo on toast was artful combining colour and texture into deliciousness. Pinkie is genuinely dog welcoming and our little lady loved the take home bag of treats. We will be back!

Tried this little “gem” based on google reviews. Nothing like what I expected. Good service 7 out of 10 . Coffee (Skinny Latte and Almond Latte) 2 out of 10 I had to send back one of the coffees at it was inedible. Tried double shot espresso thinking that the barista might have a bad day; it was 5 out of 10. Pancake 0 out of 10, smashed avo 7 or 8 out of 10, veggie Burger 2 out of 10. Generally very average, over rated , over priced, kids friendly.
We waited 15 minutes for someone to seat us which isn't bad, when we were sat down we waited another 15 for menus before I went to the counter to ask for them. Took about 25 minutes for two burgers to be brought out and they were not great. The beef burgers patty was very small and both burgers were not to our taste (that's just our opinion others may love the burgers!). Overall poor service, food wasn't great and we won't be rushing back.
Had a lovely Saturday brunch at Pinkies. Had to wait 15min for a table as they were slammed. We ordered the Mediterranean Eggs and Winter Mushroom which were delicious. They had generous portion but the Turmeric latte I ordered was very small which is why I gave them a 3. Price point was also on the higher side, approx $25/pp incl coffee. The stellar service is something I would go back for though. Very friendly and attentive staff.
Really nice place to go for breakfast or lunch. Nice food and friendly staff. We had the steak sandwich and the burger, both so yum. But the best thing of our visit was the pancakes, so tasty, big and the decoration so cute. Coffee is nice too. I will be back soon!

The coffee and service from the girls at Pinkie was great! Absolutely awesome. The food was not bad but very overpriced. I had the super salad bowl and the slice of salmon that came with it was so small it was actually funny, I wish I took a photo. My friends avo on toast was much the same, a small scoop of avo on a piece of bread for $18+!!! That being said it was agreed that both dishes were tasty
Yesterday I was impressed with the 'shrooms' mushrooms on sour dough and today the avo toast. Both were delicious, beautifully presented, quickly served by friendly people. Also fab coffee!!!

Best coffee in Ivanhoe. All the staff at the cafe are so friendly and service is excellent. The girl (I'm so bad at remembering names but she wears the cutest festive earrings) always greet me by name! She must see so many customers every day but she makes it a point to remember mine. Food is wonderful as well! I especially like their acai bowl and kale salad! Yum.
I really like their menu and the coffee, always something to choose from any time of the day. Great savoury dishes and the smoothies are creative and delicious. My only gripe is with the organisation and attention to detail, a little lacking for the money, also the outdoor area needs umbrellas or blinds to protect both indoor and outdoor diners from the direct sun.
One of the nicer cafes in Ivanhoe. Staff take pride on what they do, which is missed tbese days. Thied their coffee for the first time and was nice, being not to strong where ir waste to bitter and has enough kick to make the coffee great on the palate. The creamy after taste pleaently lingers for quite a while. Will be back as there is also ample parking near by
Hubby and I, with 2 kids ate here today and the food was delicious. I ordered the Greens & Grains bowl it has so much flavour. Mg daughter ordered the kids pancakes and they were delicious. We will defiantly go back

We love everything about this cafe. From the food, friendly staff, cool interior and of course great coffee. This was our second visit and menu is very different from our last visit. We had the salmon bowl, acai bowl and greens & grains this time. All of the dishes were great, especially the salmon bowl. The sriracha kewpie mayo goes so well with the dish.
The service was great, the staff kept us updated with wait times and provided options of indoor or outdoor. The food was delicious as well. Only thing was after we had paid the bill and kept in talking, I felt one waitress wanted us to leave as she poke me to ask if we wanted to order anything else knowing we had paid. Other than that recommend trying.
The atmosphere was pleasant enough. The food was tasty and fresh, and some interesting dishes on the menu. The service was friendly, buy not particularly warm or welcoming. A couple of staff members seemed mostly aloof. Seems like a nice place that potentially could be a regular haunt, but there's a lack of warmth that makes it less appealing. Thanks.
Nice, bustling little Cafe tucked off the main strip in Ivanhoe. Nice and friendly staff and some nice food to top it off. All round it was an enjoyable lunch. My only minor chip would be that presentation could've been a bit more attentive, my burger kind of looks like it was slapped together on the maccas production line, but it still tasted good.
Loved it so much! The hotcakes were presented so beautifully and tasted so delicious! My favourite was the fried chicken burger with the chips because the sauce inside it was INCREDIBLE and had SO much flavour! I would definitely recommend checking out this cafe and if you want to see some photos I took, follow my Instagram @samsrecipebooktolife
LOVE Pinkie. The best of the best. Always leave feeling so satisfied. Their menu has a great range of different and unique dishes that offer a variety of options for dietary requirements without missing the flavour! My personal fav is the salmon brown rice bowl and the snickers smoothie! Yum

I think I just got played... Just spent $25 on half an avocado and 1 egg on a plate... and it had no taste at all :( The cafe is dirty and run down and the service is average. Sorry guys, I don't like giving bad reviews but I also don't like getting ripped off.

They have such a great menu My fav was the avocado toast, loved the little pineapple pieces in it. The combo was so good and definitely is a must try. We had the following Superfood Bowl Açai Bowl Avocado Toast Mango Lassi Smoothie Mixed Berries Smoothie Check out @pinkieivanhoe Takeaway is available too
Breakfast 02/08/2021 “The Shroom” Got a quick take away breakfast and a long black. Coffee and staff were great but the shroom dish wasn’t anything outstanding. The mushrooms were delicious and eggs cooked well but just 2 pieces of asparagus and the toast was like a rock. Great looking cafe and handy with the parking across from it!
Attentive service and fresh food. Plenty of options. A little pricey for some basic extras though and the House hash brown was really more of a log of mash potato which vould do with some extra flavour. Serving sizes are a bit smaller than average. The smoothie bowl was great though and delivered the goods! Coffee on point too.
Delicious food that is amazingly presented (almost too good to eat!)

Found this little local. Instagram shows some Insta friendly meals, in person maybe not so much. Big hopes for chilli scramble but was disappointing. Porridge was nice and the avo tomato dish was nice but nothing crazy. The sprinkle lamington was yum! Coffee was also good! Would give another go to get porridge again
Very disappointed. Had lunch with my daughter and our dog today, our food order been forgotten and we waited for over an hour till I asked the waitress. .. Food finally came at 3 pm which was their closing time for Sunday but not what we expected at all. Poor service and disappointing food. Won’t back again.
Embracing the pinkiness theme, we tried the pink latte, which was a little strange but an experience nonetheless. The food was pretty decent, and had a lightness, which made us feel like we didn't overeat. The café is surrounded by a peaceful setting, as Pinkie is slightly veered off the town's thoroughfare.
Don’t believe the hype. What started as a great new cafe has gone down hill. The food is decent and most of the staff are friendly but their barista is rude and will literally come out and argue with you about how strong a coffee is, or should be. Plenty of other great cafe options around Ivanhoe.
Our mains were amazingly fabulous, from the presentation to the very last bite, bursted with great flavors. It wasn’t too salty nor too sweet. Service and staff were delightful, too. Will definitely visit again soon.

Wow oh WOW! Pinkie Cafe is incredible on SO many levels. The coffee is delicious, the staff are super friendly and the food is FANTASTIC. The standout for sure would have to be the Tiramisu Hotcakes, think fluffy rich coffee pancakes covered in chocolate ganache and biscuit crumb - so YUM!
Love the pink wall decor at this place, very funky. Also enjoy the beetroot latte, it's very nice. However, I have found the service at Pinkie to be quite slow (as in waiting 15-20 min) just to get food & coffee and find the place to be quite stuffy inside particularly on warmer days.
Great cafe in Ivanhoe. Always packed but worth the wait (does not take that long anyway) Mushroom dish was a star for me, absolutely lovin it. Drinks were on point. Protein milkshake is highly recommended !

Often very busy but has enough seats that turnover is reasonably quick. Food is great, nice bacon with the rasher still on thank God and it hasn't just been waved over the heat it's been cooked nicely. Love the touch of grilled chicken as a side it goes well with bacon and eggs.
I love brunch because it’s breakfast and lunch. Great brunch place also open on public holidays. Friendly staff and lovely ambience We got ♡ Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict + Mushroom ♡ Shrooms ♡ Pinkie Boost breakfast ♡ Snickers Smoothie with Espresso ♡ Green Smoothie ♡ Flat White
My wife and I oreder lamb skewers and cheese burger. Lamb dish was delicious, compaing to the price the portion was very small though. Beef patty in burger was not what she expected.

Came here this morning for some breakfast and was not disappointed! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Ordered the brunch burger which was very tasty , girlfriend had the smashed avocado which she loved also. recommend, and will be back
After moving to Ivanhoe, this place has become a regarly visited cafe for us because: service is always great, the pink is SUCH a vibe, food is always bangin', flat whites always warm my soul, and i have met so many friendly doggos here! More
Pinkie in Ivanhoe was just delicious. The cafe was absolutely buzzing full of people (even on a weekday), and I now know why! The meals are extremely delicious, with a large range of options. I love when cafes have salad options available -
Amazing place! Best oat milk lattes I’ve tasted both food & coffee are consistent in their quality with the cafe doing a fantastic job adapting to ever changing environments. Plenty of seating both indoors & outdoors under the heaters!
My absolute fav in Ivanhoe. The staff are brilliant, really friendly and helpful. Very careful with service during COVID times which is reassuring given the lack of attention from other cafes in the area. Fantastic coffee (best dirty chai
Such great food here. Make sure you book a table or are happy to wait a short time for a table, they are always busy, and for good reason. The staff are lovely and attentive. The pulled pork benedict is amazing, as is the chilli scramble.
Everything on the menu looked very palatable. The beetroot latte had a strong cinnamon taste, the acai bowl was nice, it wasn't like your regular acai bowl. The tables were a bit close to each other, overall I would go back for the cold.
The mushroom breakfast dish was so flavorsome and delicious, very impressive! Staff are super friendly and efficient too! Also order a white peony (green) tea, which came in a huge pot that lasted 2 hours, also delicious. Great location!
The perfect place for a meal, coffee or a quick snack! Reasonable priced and a fantastic atmosphere!

Can't believe we didn't know this place was here for a whole year! Loving their coffee and great menu, but the service just puts this place over the top. So quick with the coffee and so good with our kids!

Overrated cafe, with limited options. Came here to try their Hibiscus & Beetroot Latte, but it just tasted like ginger & tumeric. Acai bowl was rather diluted. Wouldn’t go all the way to Ivanhoe for this.
Delicious hotcakes, coffee and wraps. Staff are great and helpful. Really popular local cafe, so be prepared to wait little bit if you arrive late; Pinkie and its great food is no secret to Ivanhoe.
The coffee is one of the best in Ivanhoe. Food is awesome! We expected a good variety on the kids Meenu and were very happy with it. Tables need numbering though, we got served incorrectly twice.

At first it seems like just another try hard hipster place but then you get the food. I had the burger and it was fantastic, and the chips were done really well. Defenately coming back here.
My wife found this Cafe and we went for breakfast.... Excellent food with generous helpings and okay service from young people who may be still training. But this Eatery is my new favourite.
Ivanhoe is well known for the abundance of cafes and restaurants, either on the main road or tucked into side streets. Today my family went to @pinkieivanhoe on a warm midweek day.
