What an amazing experience visiting Platform 1 cafe was! The staff were so friendly, food was delish and coffee was perfect. I LOVEDDDDD that there was a build your own breakfast option, as someone who doesn't like egg, brekky out can be a bit boring so this was exciting! My friend & hubby got the French toast and loved it. I had a sneaky taste and can confirm it was tasty. It's unlikely I'll visit Ormond again, but if I ever do, you will know where to find me

We are very grateful to have Platform 1 as our local cafe. The food is genuinely excellent, not once has a meal fallen short of their usual standard, and their menu is replete with options, for vegan/vegetarian diets as well. They are also iterating on the menu constantly and adding amazing new dishes. My favourite is the 'Middle Eastern Eggs' dish. The crumbed halloumi is to die for. The staff are also incredibly kind and attentive, and we feel more like their friends than their patrons when brunching there - a testament to the culture and overall amazing vibe of the cafe.

Wow first of all… This is a hidden gem! Probably one of the best cafes I’ve been to here in Melbourne!! I brought my client for lunch as we were visiting a few stores in the area. Customer service is outstanding such friendly staff. I had an iced chai and it was amazing!! Our food was just as good, the presentation was and friendly with their portioning. I had the corn and pumpkin fritters with Moroccan chicken and my client had the breakie burger but in a wrap which she enjoyed. Such a warm and inviting place. Toilets onsite as well which was clean. My client was happy she said we need to come back soon.

A small cafe, causally running by a few young people, with a simple menu. Coffee wasn't the best, double expresso was burnt, they forgot our cutlery after a minute of serving our food until I jumped up and asked, even when there were only another 2 tables of customers. They apologised but it ruined my first experience at the cafe. The way how the dishes presented was very average so does the taste. My poached egg rolled off during delivery so I had to wait for some time for another one to turn up. Staff were polite but I'd need a lot more enjoyment for my brunch. I hope they'd improve in the future.

A little morning visit to this place on the easter long weekend when down from Sydney. The service quick, the food was huge in portion size and quick to come to the table. You really can see why people enjoy this place. Had to wait a little while to get a table cause some people choose to sit at the table for in diners with their take away cups but all that aside we went back a couple of times in the easter break to get their yummy coffee as well. Check it out. :)

So many Gluten Free options! Seriously one of the best! It was so hard to decide what to eat because all the dishes seemed so delicious and healthy. The staff was lovely and friendly. I'll definitely be cooking back.

Two of us came to Platform 1 Cafe on a Tuesday morning for brunch. We ordered chai latte and iced chocolate for drinks, and then the Benny Bagel and the Soulful Breakfast for food. The customer service was very good, and the waiters were attentive to our table. The food were generous portions and very delicious. Thank you to Platform 1!

Great cafe with a menu done right. Interesting choices, fair pricing, good portions, great flavour. Veggie stack was delicious and light with nice combo of flavours and elements. Crumbed mushrooms were amazing. Veggie bowl was delicious, big portion and great with haloumi. Nice chai latte and interesting but strong tumeric latte. Would definitely come back.

Our first visit and it was delightful! The interior is very clean and welcoming. Staff is super friendly and helpful The menu is extensive and with huge variety. There are plenty full vegetarian and vegan options. The coffee and smoothie were both great. The food was very enjoyable and presented with great attention to detail. Left with a big smile on our faces and look forward to another brunch there soon.

A reasonable cafe in a local area. Will not knock your socks off but is pleasant and the food is quite good. I had the Spanish Omelette which was passable, reasonably tasty, but had been cooked a bit too long. I was visiting a friend and would go there again when next visiting.

Been here a few times now and it’s always been great. The menu is so diverse and the food is tasty. They kindly reserved a table in advance for us so we had somewhere to sit with the pooch. (They only have 3 tables outside if you do have a dog, so good to ring in advance). Service is always casual, yet efficient and professional. The challah French toast was to die for! Def recommend.

Came here with my little one. I had a latte, she had a hot choc and we shared the French toast. Coffee was ok, my little one described the hot choc as “amazing”. I did like the French toast, nicely done and both of me and little one really enjoyed it. Nice cosy cafe. I’d say though, the final table was too near to the kitchen.

Went in for the first time last week and ordered the Veggie stack. Best cafe style breakfast I’ve had. Super friendly staff and nice atmosphere. This place has raced to the top of my favourite local cafes. You could easily miss it walking past but worth visiting.
