"Always such a wonderful place to be, i visited on 12/13/22 in the afternoon and I was helped by the sweetest clerk Rayland, she was so attentive and provided the most wonderful advisory of books she felt i would take pleasure in reading! She really made you feel cared for, and made such an effort to make sure you leave happy"

Poets Bookshop – Bishop Arts When I was young, I clerked In several bookstores. Now I teach Courses on books I want to read. At this tiny bookstore down the street, I am cooling off from the summer heat Before heading home to feed my dogs. Like you, I have books I have forgotten, Haven’t read, or want to reread. Right now, I am writing this poem On my phone, and it kind of smells In here like the little cigar shop Next door. I am standing before Baldwin, Hemingway, and Mishima Who I’ve read, and Auster, Huxley, And Murakami who I’d like to read again. I’m trying not to buy a book today. But Before I leave, I can straighten up this shelf. I’ll come back another time and do more. Laurence Musgrove

Amazing spot for curated reads. A local bookstore with all the charm and personal touches you’re looking for. The staff is knowledgeable, the books are well selected and they have an awesome section of gift packs - 3 books for $30-40 that align with a specific theme. Hands down my favorite bookstore in Dallas.
Every time I pass by they always have the best recommendations for books - such relevant topics and brilliant authors. I wish there was a cafe within so I could sit and read or maybe Opportunites to hear from authors or story tellers. But overall, what an amazing local bookshop to support :)
A small little gem and most welcome addition to the neighborhood. There are always a great selection of titles old and new, I never fail to find something interesting here and the staff are such a pleasure to talk to as well. Go browse, select and buy, this place is a gem!
It’s been a month since i visited this bookstore but i’m still so obsessed. It’s one of the cutest bookstores i’ve seen honestly, curated lovingly by the people who not only work there but also customers recommending. Must visit spot in Dallas ❤️
Small, well curated and with a small yet thoughtful selection of spanish children’s books. Whether your are into Bukoeski or Arthur Conan Doyle, I recommend stopping by and showing love. Ps. The store’s soundtrack is kinda fire
Simply books and great conversation with Alan, the cashier. I was even able to bring my dog in, and he was able to relax after walking a while through the district. I love the book selection and the peaceful atmosphere.
I love this little bookshop! I always find something interesting every time I visit. It has such a wonderful selection and the staff is always warm and willing to talk books with me.
Great small shop with a good selection of Japanese literature from Haruki Murakami and Ryu Murakami and Mishima. I picked up an Allan Watts book that was in brand new condition.
Shopkeeper was rude to me and laughed in my face for getting an author incorrect. Most humiliating experience I have ever had on Bishop Arts. I will never come back again.
Kind staff. Quaint and thoughtful collection. What a bookstore should be! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Bishop Arts. You’ll find a unique title for sure!!
I love this shop. It is quaint and if you request a book order it arrives in a timely manner. The text notifications your book is in is nice as well.
Great local bookshop with a curated selection of amazing literature. A must go for any book lovers visiting Bishop/Oak Cliff.
One of my favorite book stores anywhere and one of the best book shops in Dallas!! It’s definitely a staple of Bishop Arts
Super cute local bookstore located in the Bishop Arts District. Love the selection of books and the unique cards for sale!
Nice quaint spot. Good customer service and reasonable prices. I'll definitely recommend and plan to visit again.
The kind of independent bookstore we need more of these days. Very well curated selection.
