I’ve been an admirer of Provide since they first opened their store in 2007 on Beatty Street. During this time there wasn’t a lot of options when it came to offering a wider range of sophisticated product collections that weren’t mass produced. What has always stood to be a true testimate unique to Provide was the warm welcome felt by owner Robert Quinnell and his Husband David Keeler. Together they created a space where everyone is welcomed not judged by how much you want to buy rather always an opportunity to share with you all the beautiful objects highly curated from all their travels. As a patron of the store like I do with all product sourcing is to test the product myself before specifying for projects. I immediately fell in love. The amount of care into each selection and learning about the artisans and companies behind them was always so inspiring. Fast forward nearly 12 years later Provide has become my must go to as well for many of our professionals in the design industry. Inclusiveness, love and care in all that they do when you first walk in the store is what they’ve been able to achieve is setting the bar high. Retail experiences are often a place where your sold on the idea of consuming yet another product. Provide is nothing like that, the founders are what I hope we can see in many companies is understanding the true value of being of service. Provide believes in beauty and that each of you deserve to experience or learn from what great product looks like. A project for us isn’t complete if we don’t have a gift of Provide to complete it. I highly recommend you visit their newest location in the Armoury district. They are by far what I would identify as a must see staple for Vancouver where you can discover highly curated product for your home and connect with locally made and designed meets global unique finds. And if you’re lucky enough you will also meet the Provide Family, they treat you as if you are family even if you just visiting their beautiful dog Mila. Love Provide and all that they do and offer, beauty at its best for everyone.

We were gifted an item from this store for our wedding. The gift was given by someone that could not make our wedding and therefore we did not receive the item until a while after our actual wedding (past the time to exchange which is 30 days). We do not live close to this store so I called before heading there to see if we could exchange the item for the exact same one in a different colour to match our home decor and I was told it shouldn’t be an issue only to have the general manager call me back a couple days later to say they wouldn’t allow it as they are a small business. I understand this was well beyond the exchange time frame but the situation was a bit out of our control, the item is in its original packaging and they still sell the exact same item in both colours. I appreciate the 10% discount offered to purchase a new item but this is not a store I can regularly afford!

Showed up at 5:15, the door was locked with a sign that said if door is closed please wait and an hours sign stating you are open until 5:30. The staff did not see me so I knocked. They looked extremely confused why I was there and were not coming over so I had to wave and motion to the signs. After at least a minute the girl reluctantly came over and said “.....ya?” I asked if I was able to come in and she said no we’re closing up. There was no one else in the store, there was 15 minutes till close and I only needed to quickly look at one item. I do not understand why I was treated so weirdly for trying to enter an open store. I came straight from work and will never be able to get here earlier than 5:15 so I guess I won’t be returning.

So happy that I came to shop at Provide last month, the owner, David and the rest of the staffs were all very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. This store is full of gorgeous and unique pieces, I can spend hours shopping there. In the end, I have bought quite a few pieces there, even a gift for a friend’s birthday. The whole shopping experience was so enjoyable, we are just so lucky to have a local design shop like this in Vancouver, always happy to support local business, especially during the current situation. As an interior designer this store makes sourcing a pleasure. With so many high quality pieces to choose from it’s hard not to find something to love. This past week I sourced many pieces for a clients bedroom reveal. The accessories added so much depth, interest & gave the feeling of having been curated over time. The staff was also very helpful, accommodating & flexible. I needed to swap a few things out & select a few alternatives which they made easy. What a quality store! Beautiful unique products, and friendly vibe. The staff greet you and let you know they’re there to help if needed but don’t hover. I needed time to really admire and ponder the wonderful selection. So many unique items I hadn’t seen anywhere else. It was hard to narrow it down, but once I had decided the staff were very quick to put my order together. It’ll be my first stop in the future. This is my go-to store when I need to get a special gift, or if I just want to treat myself to something extraordinary ... The staff have always been very helpful with every purchase I've made, and have even beautifully wrapped the gifts I have purchased. During the pandemic, I made some purchases online and the staff delivered right to my door. WHAT SERVICE!! If you are looking for high quality unique decorating items and gifts, this is the store for you. I highly recommend!

This store is UNBELIEVABLE. The developed hygge throughout the store is such a gift to the shopper. I was looking for a specific sort of gift for someone that is difficult to shop for, and the general manager Ben, unexpectedly dedicated his time to helping me find the exact right thing, AND HE DID! I am eternally grateful and will grace this shop for future gifting endeavors as long as I live. GO HERE! It is JUST the best.
