First of all, WOW! Such genuine customer care is rare these days. Cindy was professional yet personable. Only one customer was allowed in the office/lobby at a time due to social distancing guidelines. There were two customers behind me waiting their turn. Never once did she try to rush me. She got up, opened the office door to acknowledge them and told them she appreciated their patience and would be extending the same courtesy of handling their questions or needs when it was their turn. That kind of attention goes a long way. As far as the property... it was spic & span outside. No trash around. The inside was incredibly clean from top to bottom and there were no odd smells, odors or strong scents of cleaners. I just had to add that, because it happens sometimes and it is unpleasant. But not here. The size unit I had requested was no longer available. Cindy apologized and offered to make it right by putting me in the next size up. I couldn’t afford that, so she was so kind and so gracious as to offer me a hugely discounted rent. I was, of course, elated. I have not encountered any problems of any kind. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. It’s also well lighted and I feel safe. ** My only issue is that I received notice that the rent will be going up as of April 1st to an amount that I absolutely cannot afford. I’m on a fixed income. I called and spoke to Cindy about it and she said she would try her best to help me. Naturally, I believe she WILL try. She’s been considerate and up front all this time. Whether or not the ones in the “decision making seats” will be able to accommodate another discount, I’ll be forced to move out. But this has absolutely nothing to do with the cleanliness of the property or the great customer service. It is a business after all. I get it. But I applaud Cindy and her superiors for even listening to me and taking my situation into consideration. Very few companies would even do that. Many would be like... it is what it is... that’s the price, pay it or move. So, being heard and respected is outstanding. Thank you public storage. Thank you Cindy. They are lucky to have you.

Christine was absolutely terrific. I had called earlier stating that I might not make it before the office closed and did not know about gate access procedure. Christine assured me that she would stay a little bit after to ensure I was able to enter and use the unit. After The gate access code I was emailed did not work Christine happened to check the front desk and helped me enter my unit. Christine went above and beyond. Thank you Christine Edit: A visit I had on 10/9 I encountered an issue with the light inside the unit I am renting. Liz was accommodating and proactive and helped me request a work order to secure lighting. Liz even brought an extra lightbulb hoping to solve the issue but unfortunately it requires a maintenance fix. Liz was friendly and helpful.

This rainy March day wasn’t enough to deter my family and I from making an appointment to see a storage unit at Public Storage! We were greeted by Amanda, who made it special by closing up shop to tour us around! We were shown several units of various sizes and informed of any deals that were available with them. Amanda was well informed of the site and procedures and helped us choose one that was perfect for us! There are restrooms, it’s wheelchair accessible, climate controlled and there’s even a couple dollies available for personal use. At the end of the day, it’s a clean facility and would recommend their services. I’ll make sure to change this to a 4 star review after a couple months in.

From the first moment we stepped into this facility, it was very welcoming. My son had originally rented a unit for us during our moving process, which had been very hectic. He had no problems with the service here, received great customer service in fact. When my husband and I came in to downsize to a smaller unit and take it over, Christine, the manager was very professional and courteous. We totally appreciate everything that she helped us with the transitioning of the units. She is the epitome of customer service. I would definitely rent here again in the near future. Thank you Christine and John for running a very welcoming and very well oiled property.

Beautiful new facility with security cameras, climate control, all inherited from "The Keep" in a recent buyout. The Keep offered incentives and free gifts not offered by Public Storage after change in ownership. Prices increased. Service was still very good. Unfortunately I was injured, lost my job, was hospitalized, couldn't pay storage fees... and Public Storage chose to auction off all my belongings rather than wait any longer for payment, and this was legal. My husband's ashes were there. They asked buyer to return ashes to them, and ashes were returned to me. You should consider all this before choosing to store your things here.

Public Storage @ 4717 Vance Jackson is a wonderful place to rent storage units. The staff & management are friendly & helpful. I felt my belongings were secure in their indoor climate controlled 10×10 unit. They also have access control to the property & into the indoor units. Their cylinder locks are great! They allow flatbed carts to be borrowed to help move in/out our boxes/furniture on the property. Also, be on the lookout for any special promotions they have for the 1st month for a great price! Hands down the best storage experience I've ever had. Ask for Christine! 5 stars!

This place is horrible. Broken gate. The door to enter climate controlled units had been broken for close to a year. Instead of fixing it, they put a sign that tells you how to get it open. Now the handle is broken. A wheel keeps falling off of one of the carts. There aren’t enough carts so there is never an available one. It is ALWAYS hot inside. I’ll get there right when it opens and it is 85 degrees inside. One of the elevators is rickety and probably unsafe. The app claims you can open the gate with your phone but they don’t have that set up.

Great experience, Christine is the best she offers solutions and has great customer service. She takes the time to listen and she actually cares if my problem is solved. I have used other locations an this by far is the best one. Follow up : Was having some issues with my billing and Christine went above and beyond to help me. She is always on top of things and returns my calls. Wish she was in office more we like to stop and say hi but we know she is always going to other locations to help out. She's the best.

Staff is GREAT: friendly, helpful, professional. I'd like to add specific kudos for Cindy. Facility is clean, well-lit, truly climate-controlled, & music is a plus. I have rarely been there & found all the dollies in use, another plus. Location is easy to access. The only improvement I would suggest is in regard to the website, (which is not controlled by individual facility,): It's not always easy to navigate & does not always provide pertinent information in a clear & concise manner.

Jenn, at the Vance Jackson location Friday afternoon, provided the best customer experience anyone could ask for. She was incredibly organized and effortlessly efficent! Jenn provided me with options to resolve an issue. In addition, Jenn was very pleasant and didn't rush me even though it was near closing time. I hope Public Storage realizes what an asset they have in Jenn and perhaps consider her for a promotion or to train others.

Best storage place I’ve been to so far! John is incredibly professional and courteous and made sure I was taken care of. He went above and beyond for me and I’ll keep my business here just because of him. The only thing that was a little discomforting was that the facility was hot. During this time of year walking in should be cooler than outside. My only downside about the facility was that. Other than that John is super great!

Nice enough place but a few key things are missing. There's no loading dock and no doors wider than 42". They got two entrances to the main floor and those get crowded a lot. No carts, staff are usually out. They had carts that disappeared and have not replaced them. The carts they have are small as well. On weekends they should have them checked out by staff to users so they will growing legs and have at least one larger cart.

Moving into this self-storage was a breeze, with easy drive up access to the building and plentiful trolleys I moved in my dorm in an hour. Claudia was a great help and made my move in effortless with her thoughtful placement with easy access to the loading zones and funny anecdotes. This public storage is definitely the best in san antonio in rates and service and I recommend it to anyone in need of storage :).

This property and property manager are horrible. The gate is consistently left wide open. And pir storage among many others was broken into and robbed. and the Company isn't doing anything about it not even helping us with rent payments that we already struggle on. Do not do business with this facility or any public storage. I have video proof of the gate being left open after business hours.

Great new facility with great prices and very nice service. Only downsides are that they don't have more than a 42" door to the outside and their cars for moving things only come in a small size - maybe 24x36? The corners are a little tight for large items like couches but everything is well lit, lots of security cameras and multiple elevators that are all commercial loading type elevators.

My cousin recommended I drive an extra 3 miles to this new facility. It is worth it.The facility looks brand new. Cindy, the young lady who assisted me keeps the office immaculate and is very mindful of Covid going the extra mile to insure ones risk is minimal. Cindy was professional and knowledgeable. This business is lucky to have such an outstanding employee.

Break in monthly as we were told by the Manager. But never warned the day of Rental. They broke into my storage a month ago and several others. I filed a police report and Claim. I honestly think the Manager has something to do with it because it’s an on going thing. I wouldn’t suggest anyone to rent here. Cameras facing only entrances and not storages.

They were very helpful and it is such a lovely storage unit. It’s so close to me and I love the fact that it’s brand-spanking new! Temperature controlled , elevators and clean. They have cameras on site and I feel my stuff is very secure. Excellent service and very helpful- Cindy helped A lot. Very prompt and on point! Thank you for your help!

My clothes were stolen and the staff knew of prior break in but neglected to tell us. They could have cared less. Not sure if its an inside job or other renters. Could be a combination of both. 4614 Vance Jackson rd in San Antonio Texas is the address for that location. If I could give 0 stars then I would. Do not rent here PERIOD.

Highly recommend this location for your storage needs. I've trusted this location with our family's valuables for the last 3 years and would continue to use if I wasn't moving. The facility is great. But couple nights ago I GOT STUCK IN THE ELEVATOR!!! OF COURSE AT NIGHT WHILE I'M BY MYSELF AND I LEFT MY PHONE ON TRUCK!!!! I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA HAVE A PANIC ATTACK. AND WHEN I PRESSED THE PHONE THING IN ELEVATOR, THE OPERATOR WAS NO HELP. SHE WAS BEING LAZY ABOUT THE WHOLE THING. SHE PASSED ME OFF

They tell you if you bring your lock the refund you the money back for the lock they offer but if you bring the big circular lock they say no they want the small cylinder lock and you bring the cylinder they want the other one so what's the point of offering to refund back money if you won't have the right lock

My sister loves this place and I can see why. Manager keeps place very clean and is always friendly. Tonight the place was lit up very well and makes me feel safer about my sister going to her storage after work. If you are looking for storage that you will feel good about this is definitely the place.

Nice place, clean, and big. But how do the employees get paid if they only show up for scheduled appointments? The office is always empty, and there's no answer except for an automated voice mail that no one ever listens to because your call never gets returned. It's really annoying at times.

I was on property yesterday helping some friends move out of their unit and I had my 4 year old daughter with me. I had to take her to the restroom quite a few times and the lady in the office had no problem opening the restrooms for us. Very clean for a men’s restroom, btw!

Do not store your things at this facility. My storage unit was broken into, and alot of my stuff was stolen. I learned when I called the police that several units had been broken into. Mine wasn't the only one. This is not a safe facility.

One of the elevators has been out for months or atleast everytime I went to my storage it has been out of order and I had to walk alot more to get my stuff out of there . The other elevator was on opposite corner, has no inspection date

Management are rude and dont know what they are doing. They even go so far as telling lies about policies and storage laws. Security is a joke and they offer now carts to help move your property.

I was moving in some items to my storage unit today, and Christine and the two gentlemen in the office were very nice and helped me find a cart to load my things on. Excellent service!

Advertise they were available 24/7, to find that the gates will not allow you on the premises after 9pm until 6am everyday, although management incorrectly mentioned until 10pm.
