Title: A Memorable Birthday Cake Shopping Experience at Publix Introduction: Birthdays are special occasions that bring joy, excitement, and anticipation. As I embarked on the quest to find the perfect birthday cake, I ventured into the renowned supermarket chain, Publix. This essay recounts my delightful and memorable experience while shopping for a birthday cake at Publix, highlighting the exceptional service, diverse cake options, and the overall ambiance that made this experience truly remarkable. Body: I. The Warm Welcome: Upon entering Publix, I was greeted by the friendly and courteous staff, who exuded warmth and hospitality. Their genuine smiles and willingness to assist immediately set a positive tone for my birthday cake shopping experience. The store's clean and organized layout further enhanced the overall ambiance, making it a pleasure to navigate through the aisles in search of the perfect cake. II. A Plethora of Choices: Publix boasts an extensive selection of birthday cakes, catering to various tastes and preferences. From classic flavors like chocolate and vanilla to more exotic options such as red velvet and lemon, the array of choices was truly impressive. Each cake was beautifully displayed, adorned with intricate designs and vibrant colors, making it challenging to pick just one. The availability of different sizes and customizable options further added to the allure, ensuring that every customer could find a cake perfectly suited to their needs. III. Expert Guidance: The knowledgeable bakery staff at Publix played a pivotal role in making my birthday cake shopping experience exceptional. They patiently listened to my requirements, offering valuable suggestions and insights to help me make an informed decision. Their expertise in cake flavors, fillings, and decorations was evident as they guided me through the various options, ensuring that my cake would be a delectable masterpiece. The staff's attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction left a lasting impression, making me feel valued and appreciated as a customer. IV. Quality and Freshness: Publix's commitment to quality was evident in the taste and freshness of their cakes. The bakery team prides itself on using premium ingredients, resulting in cakes that are moist, flavorful, and visually appealing. The attention to detail in the cake's decoration, coupled with the use of high-quality frosting and fillings, elevated the overall experience. The assurance of freshness and the ability to customize the cake to suit dietary restrictions or personal preferences further exemplified Publix's dedication to customer satisfaction. V. A Memorable Conclusion: As I left Publix with my chosen birthday cake, I couldn't help but reflect on the exceptional experience I had just encountered
I have never left a Publix displeased until I left this one. I went in to have balloons filled for my nieces birthday and brought in my own balloons. Now keep in mind I’ve done this many times before for other birthdays and events. The sign said to go to customer service for assistance, which I did just to be told that we weren’t at the right place and they two employees acted like they had no idea what we were talking about. Then after we waited at the floral counter for someone to come over and assist us we were charged $1 per balloon that needed to be filled. Now I was confused as I normally only get charged 50 cents per balloon at any other location I’ve gone to so I asked a manager why it was double the price. He then proceeded to tell me that it’s costs $1.25 to fill the balloon which would obviously be a giant loss for the company if they lost .25 on every balloon they ever had to fill right? So after just dealing with it because management was rude and we had a birthday to go to... we get to the line to check out and the cashier leaves to go get change (while not even asking if we’re using cards or getting someone else to get the change for her) so she left the gentleman in front of us standing there with no explanation as he complains because he is using a card in the first place. The cashier then comes back without even an apology for leaving us waiting for 5 minutes. Maybe if it had been just one thing that was wrong I wouldn’t be so disappointed with this Publix location. But at this point I will avoid this location due to the poor customer service received from everybody we encountered today.
My friend and I went here because we wanted to get the Prime Rib and Beef Tenderloin for Easter and maybe a Ham while they were on this incredible sale of $11 off per lb.! We love our neighborhood Public at Pinetree Plaza but it being a smaller store the selections of these items were not very plentiful so came to Argyle - while we new the food and cleanliness would be comparable as all Publix stores are of a high standard, we were a little worried that we wouldn't have the great friendliness and always helpful attitude of our familiar shopping place. No worries! Everyone at Argyle was so kind and helpful (we both have to use handicapped carts) going out of their way to see if we needed anything. And it's nice they also had plenty of carts available. The Butcher even went in the back to show me All his tenderloins available when I asked if he had one a little larger. We got all quality meats at wonderful prices and took advantage of several BOGO items we decided to split since have small needs and when we mentioned that to the cashier she and her packer went to the extra mile by packing all those items so each of us got one of our own. And they have a great new asset there named Mayti who just transferred there from Pinetree! She is just the nicest and a very hard worker. So a great experience:))
Full Disclosure: I wouldn't expect this kind of treatment all the time, and you'll understand why as you read on, but I thought the story exemplified the kind of service you'll find with this brand. I work in the same plaza as this Publix and stopped in for an item I needed for work (office gig). As this is a grocery story and not an office supply store, what I needed they didn't have. To be doubly sure before I left, I stopped what I believe to be a manager and asked whether or not he could verify carrying the item. They did not have them in store. I made an unrelated purchase and as I was checking out the same individual approached me and asked me to stick around for a minute while they checked their office for said item, as he might have one personally. After a few minutes he came back with what I was looking for and handed it over to me. This was not something they sold, but something he happened to have and was willing to part with just to help me out. Wesley, I do appreciate the service which was above and beyond. Hopefully you're not asked for non-store items to the point where your office is picked clean. Thanks again.
I’m beyond upset by the way I was treated by everyone EXCEPT Savana today. I brought two boxes of cereal both of which I thought were bogo. When scanned I realized that one of the boxes didn’t come off. I inquired as to why because I thought they were bogo. The cashier then proceeds to tell me that you cannot mix and match cereal. I’m like I literally mix and match EVERYTIME there’s no way that’s it. So then another lady jumps in and another and then another. So now we’re at a total of 4 women ganging up on me a customer , in front of my 9 year old son about not being able to mix and match. I go to the cereal aisle and reasses. I then realize that one box that I picked up was not on bogo but the one next to it was. So I then grab the one next to it come to the front and they ask me to wait back in line to be checked out all over again. I am so disappointed and disgusted by the way I was treated and this is not something I expect from PIBLIX where shopping is supposed to be a pleasure! I cried on the way home. O and by the way…it’s my birthday…happy birthday to me! Thanks publix.
As with other Publix locations this one is also exquisite in cleanliness and stock. Rarely do I encounter the lack of a product I'm shopping for at the Pine Tree Plaza Publix. The employees are always there willing to help and offer assistance of every kind. More oft than not the associates will already be on their way to help me when I have a question without me having to hunt someone down for assistance. My family uses the Publix pharmacy for the convenience of shopping and getting medication at the same location however as a self-pay patient this pharmacy is ridiculously expensive in the way of markup. Unless you have insurance I would strongly suggest using a different pharmacy chain for the sake of saving money because it will put a major hurt on any self-pay patients wallet.
The deli staff needs improvements in customer service.. out of making contact with four deli employees everyone acted as though they didn't have time to answer my questions I was asking simply whether they had cornbread in the deli and explain to the representative that I needed some crackers out of the soup deli and all four employees walked away and ignored me that is totally unacceptable... there was one nice lady from another department in the store that came to the deli to buy her something on break and she took it upon herself to go into the back and bring the salting crackers out so that I could complete my order to leave the store I give much appreciation to that one employee!

This is probably the cleanest, well-organized, and efficient publix I have ever been too. They had a ton of BOGOs and other sales (whole chicken tender sub on sale for 6.99, so make sure not to get a half sub for the same price). They had so much variety to where it is overwhelming, but if you know what you want, I'm sure they have it. We came to this publix, because a 5k I ran earlier was nearby, so it's about 20ish mins from my house. But, to be honest, we may just come here all the time now. It was 0940 so may it have been before we caught the crowd, but the store was empty. Great experience.
I went at 8pm just to get steamed seafood. And the worked days “ugh of course” and proceeds to say in about to clean up. I went to the Manager to ask when they stop steaming seafood and was advised around 8:30-8:45. She then said she would steam the seafood for me. Just to go in the back to ask the worker if he refused to assist me as if I was lying and of course he said he didn’t say any of the sort and that he would be more than happy to help me. I remember when Publix was the go to example for customer service. I guess no one cares about that anymore. I won’t be going back to this location.
Thank you Ms Dally!! I stopped by this Argyle Publix to pickup some roast beef. I was the only person standing at the counter for 4-5 minutes. There were 3-4 employees there standing around talking, none of them asked if I needed assistance. Finally I saw this nice lady called Ms Dally stocking a cooler whom said she will get me help. The ladies whom were stand around talking told her there were busy. So she stopped what she was doing and personally filled my order. She saved Publix from losing a long time customer!! I hope Management review these post and rewards this kind old lady.
Our Non-profit placed a Deli order for over $700 recently. While the food was good, the customer service could use some improvements. The staff wasn't the friendliest and after picking up the order, I asked for serving utensils for the purchased food. I was informed that they do not furnish serving utensils except for the cutters they issue for cakes. I found that distasteful as a utensil for a cake was acceptable; however, a purchase of $700+ did not qualify for serving utensils. Really left me wondering if I would ever use their Deli again.
I am a Publix person, so I know what to expect. On this trip, I did not do a great deal of shopping, so that is not the place of review. I, did, however, stop by the hot food bay and choose 'not' to buy the ribs. I thought about it, but they looked soo dried out sitting there, I lost my desire for them. Actually almost everything sitting in the lunch/dinner prepared meal area, looked like it was losing life again. That was my one and only hang up. Otherwise, everything else, including the customer service was wonderful.
I’ve been coming to this Publix since I was a kid and it’s only gotten better. But, I want to give special recognition to the deli workers they are so awesome and punctual, actually, because of them this is the only Publix where I can use the app to order my sandwiches and actually get the one I ordered on time! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve ordered in short notice and it was completely ready. All praise to them, and the workers are all very kind and considerate. Never change!
The store itself wad great, however the 1 police officer in there made the entire shopping experience suck. He stared at us the entire time we shopped ! He made is very obvious that he was watching us. I know now how African American People feel when they are profiled. I have plenty of money, and even as I stopped at the Lotto machine after my purchase I bought many tickets he still was looking at me like I was going to steal. Would have been 5 Starz but he was the reason I didn't love it.
Made an order for a sushi platter for a graduation party got every other platter i ordered from there except the sushi one. They didn't even bother to make it! The guy said he tried calling to verify the order but the line was busy which was a lie I have had my phone on me all day and I have 0 missed calls or voicemail from Publix! Thanks a lot Sushi Department for nothing! But thank God the bakery and deli got it together! 2 stars for them 0 for meat and sushi departments!
The store employees are nice however they do not enforce mask policy. I am high risk and went in to get a vaccine. There were more there without masks than with them. Most had them pulled down under their noses. Basically only the employees were properly masked. No one said anything to ask them to mask up, despite posted policy. The officer outside was not masked up either. I don't have to go back but those poor employees have no choice.. very disappointing for a Publix.
I purchased a wedding cake for my daughter's wedding from this location. A three-tiered mess. 1 star for the taste for a $240 cake. I definitely DO NOT recommend this location. Drive a few mines North and go to the Roosevelt store to get the customwr service and Publix experience you deserve. This is totally ridiculous! I will upload a picture to this post of what they sold us for almost $300 as soon as I figure out how to add a picture to the review.
This Publix is awesome always clean and employees are extremely helpful and you can tell they love their jobs, they always ask if you need help with anything and always offer help with your groceries. When they had there BOGO on core water there was only one left on the shelf and when asked the manager immediately went to the back to bring up more. They are also awesome when it comes to making subs lines are long but the wait isn't ridiculously long.
After church were rushed to grab groceries at publix and we couldn't wait for their mardigras wings to get prepared since the kids needed to get home and nap. The Assistant Store manager Javon was in the vicinity and over heard our conversation and offered to deliver them himself! What a leader -such a jewel publix has! As promised about an hour later with hot and delicious wings Javon arrives. Publix- where shopping is TRULY a pleasure!
Shopping at Publix is always a pleasure there's just certain things I go in there to buy which is their chicken this Subs the fruits and vegetables and anywhere we go we are from out of town working here in Jacksonville until August we definitely get close to a pub like you're number one in Arbor always and forever the staff is absolutely wonderful over here off of Wells Road wonderful welcome to 95 I should say but it's
This is a nice Publix location. The associates here are always friendly. The food is always fresh and you rarely find an item put of stock here. Not only can you get all of your grocery needs, you can also purchase wine, beer, and lotto here. The parking lot has a lot of space and is easy to access. The shopping structure it is in also has several different stores and shopping experiences and food to choose from!
Always clean. Employees need to be more approaching to customers appearing to be needing assistance. 2/12/22 I ordered Sub online, only to be made 15 minutes after I arrived and not toasted as I instructed. That was the second time. There was also a situation where the lady pulling her long sleeve with the same gloves she used to make the sandwich. The standards are sinking like a Titanic. From 5 star to 2.
Been a long time customer & there have been some downgrades. The lemon pepper rotisserie chicken used to be a weekly favorite, they have started half cooking the chicken and/ not seasoning as usual. Its’ hit or miss, today I had to recook it. Staff is nice, but I have not heard,” did you find everything you were looking for” in awhile. That’s like going to Chick Fi’ la” and not hearing, “ my pleasure”.
I was looking to purchase a nice cake for my friend's birthday, and also candles for the cake. The closest supermarket that always has good cake, among other delicious deli items is Publix. The staff at the deli was gone, except for 1 guy who was washing the floor, but I managed to find a 3 Leche cake, with strawberries which was delicious. The employee helped me find the spatula for the cake.
I love Publix this store is a clean and friendly store. They always are fully stocked and have just what i need. Some stores you go into are more like a zoo then a grocery store, but the Publix stores always have neat, clean and calm. Also the fried chicken aroma when you come in store is always a welcome when you come in their doors. Thank you Publix yoj are number 1 in my book!!!
Really good group of A1 Sandwich makers. Only thing kinda sucks is timing. They are very busy and the time online they give you is never right. But great customer service. I'm updating this review cause I just got the best customer service I've gotten in a long time by Devonte I believe that's how you spell his name but he is great at customer service 6 star!!!
This is a nice store, but the cooks for the hot prepared foods are not in the service for customer service or for providing appealing and delicious food. Most of the chicken is full of feathers, slightly battered, and taste horrible. Publix is losing its touch, this use to be the place for wings, but not for me anymore, ro me all of the chickens looks a mess.
I go here often store is clean staff is friendly but every time I get the 20 piece hot & spicy they always short me on my wings. Food too expensive now and I want what I paid for they fixed the problem 2 times already. It just happened again I suggest checks before you leave the store cause it’s always something with them and counting.
Publix is not just a grocery store. Each is it own microcosm of culture. Every Publix has its own personality, but they are consistently staffed friendly people, clean, and always intriguing. Each has something different based on location and it's incredibly fun to find those things and compare to other locations!
I don't shop at Publix often, it isn't in my town but we were visiting the area so I stopped by. This store was super clean and well stocked. I ordered my first Publix sub while here, I was as good as they say! They are more expensive than my normal grocery store which is why the four stars were given.
Made a call tonight to the deli Dept Michelle answered the phone very delightful . I asked for Hoffman's Coney's she said that was not her department but she would be glad to run and check to see if they had them they did . She is a great asset to your store and what a delight to talk to on the phone
Your run of the mill publix. It has everything you'd expect a groceries store to have. A little pricey but thats normal with publix. Nothing out place solid publix atmosphere. Subs were great hot food was good so if your looking for some groceries or a quick pickup for dinner/lunch it's a good spot.
Stopped in to get some blue cheese burgers. The guy in the meat department was to busy texting someone. After I got his attention he told me that they order them in. Complete lie. He was to lazy to make them! I went to another Publix were they made them fresh. Won't be back to argyle store.
They wouldn’t let me use my online Publix Gift Card , cause they said they stop typing in codes , I went to another Publix in Oakleaf right after , an I had no problem purchasing my Sub , the Publix on Argyle Forest an Blanding Blvd needs new Management ASAP !!!!!! So unprofessional !!!
I came in specifically looking for a freshly made gluten free sandwich or wrap. The man who made my wrap was very kind, professional, and efficient. My wrap was fresh, delicious, and gluten free. I'll be back often. Publix never disappoints. I wish we could get one in Macclenny.
Large parking lot and quite easy to park near the supermarket entrance. Spacious inside with lots of choice and helpful staff. Had a nice hot product for tasting when I visited on a Sunday morning. Also has a mobility scooter for customers to use. Nice Bakery and Deli sections.
Great store. Not as busy as the one on Roosevelt, thank goodness. They have the bogos when the other location is out of them. I go here when I am in the area. Better deli, too. Update: all of this is still true went there yesterday. Pleasant shopping experience. …
I go to this store all the time and every time megan is so nice and helpful. She's always smiling and has excellent customer service. She's nice to my children and is polite. Great addition to the store. All the cashiers that i have met are respectful and nice.
All the associates were friendly, store was clean and above all, the prices of everything on my list were great. I was even able to stack a digital coupon on top of sale prices. Win-Win. It was my first time and my cashier, Ms. Cola was so patient and helpful.
Nice clean story. Friendly customer service people. Lots of self check out registers, so that Personal connection of going to the grocery store and talking with the friendly cashier is lost. Disconnect from the brand good cake from the bakery though. …
I love this store every one I been to is nice employees our friendly and the service is good favorite place is the Bakery and they make amazing sandwiches over all good places to shop mostly on sale days little high cost then most places grocery stores
Every time we order subs, they are either out of something or get the order wrong. Their entire deli department either needs better people or more training. The line is always insanely long and the staff is slow. Even if I order from the
I love Publix. It is so much better than any other grocery store in Florida. Staff is always professional courteous and helpful. Store is always well stocked and clean. They have a delightful assortment of things you can't get anywhere
I went here only to get a sub at their deli before work and it literally took me almost an hour the women that work there were gossiping to a customer. The customer literally told me that she was going to let me go ahead and order but
The Manager was very rude to me because I corrected him for referring to me as a female when I am a male. When I brought his error to his attention he muttered something under his breath referencing his inability to speak "politically
This is the 2nd time I've had to use this Publix's deli for special occasions in Jacksonville. I'm from out of town but I love Publix, and for the 2nd time they did a great job on my orders. They were ready on time, exactly how I was
ordered a Philly Cheese Sub not on bread and I asked to use my glass bowl but i was told no, we have to use ours which is plastic I was told. I should have an option to use non plastic container for hot food or my own container.
Good customer service, they have baggers and will help you load your car if you want. The cart returns are few and far between which contributes to people not returning their carts. Prices are a bit higher than Walmart.
Came to this Publix to get a whole chicken found one for 11.99 Ask the meat department to cut it up for me Dave the manager told me it will be additional 7.99 just to cut the chicken up into pieces///like really dude
Publix is the only place I can find my Entenmann's Crumb Coffee Cake! Cannot find it anywhere else. This is the full size. I can find the individual wrapped but they are not the same as the full size! Yum yum …
Clean store, friendly helpful staff what more could you want? A chicken dinner with the fixings they've got you covered. Just call ahead if it's close to dinner time and reserve your fried or Rotisserie chicken.
Minecraft cupcake combo. Delicious. It was beautiful when we first opened the box my son loved this cake all the kids enjoyed the cupcakes and the cake was not to sweet just right with buttercream icing. …
I was able to get in, get what I needed, and get going quick. The store was clean, organized, and stocked. The employee I did interacted with at self check out was friendly. The self check out process was easy.
They always have everything organized and stocked. Lines never stay long. Friendly staff always ask you how you are no matter what they're doing. One of my favorite go to stores. Great service and location.
Very convenient, my awesome store , everything is great, but to get hot food or a sandwich made is awful wait I be wanting to get something,it be over15 people I keep it moving don't even stop in that area
Best salads if you are Balling on a Budget. You can turn any sub into a salad for $6-$8. The salads are hefty as hell. Next time I will post photos. The Italian and Chicken Finger are my two favorites.
Just came in to pick up a Publix pickup order and nothing on my shopping list was right. Now out over a hundred dollars in groceries with no order correction or refund. Customer service is a joke!
The staff is TOTALLY AWESOME! ALWAYS helpful, polite, and professional. This store is such a BEAUTIFUL FRESH OF AIR! KINDNESS IS MAGIC! Thank you GOD BLESS YOU, family and friends! …
I love love Publix chicken wings in the deli! And this day they were completely out of wings they only had legs and thighs. Staff was very helpful and I decided to have something else for lunch.
Stereotypes here not friendly for me cashier was ok everyone else passed judgment on me. Im tattooed all over from my neck to hands. Yet I'm respectful & i have manners idk man didn't dig it
I really love this Publix because the employees are super nice and THEY HAD CANNOLI's AT THE READY Made at their yummy bakery located inside the store. And that my friend, is very RARE.....
Very clean and friendly! I will drive to this Publix over the one on Normandy which is closer to my home. It was not crowded and everything was stocked wonderfully for a Saturday evening.
Love this Publix. The pharmacy staff is so awesome. Even the regular employees are great . I give 5 star's to this Publix. Everyone is always willing to help.. Thank you to all the staff.
I called to ask a question they were very nice and answered my question and the price was better than Walmart when I called Walmart nobody would answer the phone at all very disappointed
I really love how friendly and helpful the staff are at this Publix location. I also enjoy using the self-checkout and there is always an employee available for any issues you may have.
BOB who works in the deli just made me the best sub i've ever had in my life. AND he also shared a fun fact with me about olive oil. 10/10 hope bob gets a raise and has a very nice day
There's a reason a police sits outside every day. Strange to shop in a way. Clean up the community and the officers should be dealing with real crime not people stealing groceries.
Very clean and employees are very friendly. If you ask where something is they take you to it not just tell you. Selection is great and high quality fruit and vegetables
The fried chicken from the deli is on point. The place is always clean and organized. No complaints. I normally go there on my lunch break since it is across the street.
Love this location! This location also has the largest ice cream isle in the district thank you Mike for letting me know this. Wesley the Store Manager is awesome too
Great grocery shopping experience, helpful customer service and organization. I wish there was more Asian and Indian food to offer though other than that fabulous.
The employees are very kind here. They help you with anything you are in need of help with. The store is quite big on the inside. A lot to explore through.
Crystal in the Deli is a joy! She was fast, prompt, funny, and I've never had such masterpieces made in front of me. She deserves a management role 1000%
Each store sets a precedent on what a grocery store should look like. This is no different. It is organized neatly, and staff are assisting customers.
It's always clean and peaceful here. The sushi is fresh, and the attendants at the sushi bar are very helpful and accommodating. I love it!
Every employee at this location is beyond helpful and pleasant. It's always clean, well stocked, and just a general pleasure to shop at.
Great location with friendly staff. Bathroom was not up to Publix standards when I stopped by. Rest of the store seems well maintained.
Excellent as always. Pricier than other stores but the produce and other fresh foods are worth it. Shop the sales, etc for other items.
First time, very nice, clean,.organize and people friendly. The deli sub sandwich crew was.AWESOME. they put smile of the day on face.
Always great customer service. If they don't have something in store, the associates are always willing to assist in ordering for you.
Publix has always been a superior place to shop and this location was right up there. Have always loved Publix growing up in Florida
it's a good publix but doesn't feel great knowing they have to keep a cop outside for all the "high quality" people in the area.
My go to publix... it's close to home and I usually can be in and put for the things I need. Come here alot for deli and bread.
Wesley… was AWESOME I need a fast Birthday cake for my Grandson and he set in.. Thanks Publix for employee’s like Wesley..❤️❤️
Always clean Always get great service Little pricey at times, but bogo make up for it. Has a scale big enough to weigh my ego.
The employees are amazing super friendly and very professional and knowledgeable I encourage all floridans to come to publix
I love this location! Always fully stocked with my needs and wants. Also can't resist a box of wings every time I stop here!
The employees are very very nice but some of the shady people in there sometimes causes me to go over the bridge to mandarin
Went shopping for standing beef rib roast. All looks delicious. $6.99 a pound. Cheapest in town. Recommend you all get one.
Smelled like bad seafood just walking in the door. Prices at this Publix are much higher than others ones in the same area.
Prices are a little higher than others. Especially the meat. Store is spotless and well layed out. Friendly associates.
Always a quick and easy visit, and of all the publixs we've visited seems to stay the least crowded by far.
Shop here all the time! Gabe always takes good care of our family's needs. Especially coffee for my wife!!
FIFO. First in First out it is the cornerstone of any business that sells dated products. FIGURE IT OUT.
It's always clean and a pleasure to do my grocery shopping here. The buy one get one my favorite part.
I really enjoy going to the store. It is clean. It smells good. The folks that work there are helpful.
I go there for my meds. So I don't have much to say they're pretty quick usually they're pretty good
Everyday: Coda gives the best customer service. She is professional, kind and helpful to everyone.
Publix is always on the money. Great company and you can tell by the experience their team gives.
