LOCATION: Very conveniently located right off of JTB. When giving directions, I always tell people it's in the corner of JTB and Hodges as it's literally the first right when you get on Hodges Blvd from the highway. STORE LAYOUT: Isle navigation is very simple. Even if it's your first time there you feel a sense a familiarity as you kind of know or have an idea of what's where. Signs are also prominently placed above each isle for easy way finding and product location in case you are looking for more specific items. STAFF: Both the staff at the pharmacy and out in the shopping area are friendly and extremely helpful. They are always willing to assist customers. They will go out of their way to assist you with whatever you are looking for. PRICES: You wouldn't go there for their regular prices items as they are probably the same as other places, sometimes maybe a little bit higher. With the money you save on their constant sale items you'll definitely offset any price concerns. HOWEVER, it's their BOGO items that are spectacular and unbeatable that will always tip the food scale in their favor! Publix has some of the best BOGO prices and products I've found. DELI: I don't have a lot of experience with their deli, but what I do remember is that it was good quality and the staff behind the counter was terrific and helpful. They also have like a take out sandwich and sub shop. I have eaten there a few times when I was on lunch from work and I've I ordered a sub everything. I remember the ingredients being very fresh and delicious, but the sub to me was just very bready and not to my liking. However, I hear their sushi is fantastic! All in all I would highly recommend this Publix location.

I’ve been going here ever since I can remember and I never had a problem with Publix until I started coming with my black boyfriend. The usual warm and friendly greetings turned into silent glares. This happens every time we come in together or him by himself. Myself realizing that I look like the majority of people shopping in Publix, I’ve had to come to the harsh reality that I’ve never been glared at or ignored in Publix like my boyfriend has. Today at around 9:30 am we went in together and when we were ready to check out we saw a cashier named Noelle and my boyfriend greeted her and asked how she was just for her to completely ignore him and look in a different direction the ENTIRE time we checked out. This blatent disrespect has never happened to me or any of my white friends and I will not stand for it. The first few times this happened I just brushed it off since it was so unusual for me, but it became obvious that the attitude the employees had would change every time my boyfriend was with me. Publix needs to keep an eye on who they hire and how they treat people of color because like I said before, I only see this disrespectful attitude when I’m with my black boyfriend. Publix, do better. Good Publix, I like the more updated look with the doors on the coolers and freezers. The later had always been, but they have upgraded all very well. The selection is as mo's publixes around. Some key products we use aren't stocked here, but that's not out main Publix anyhow. Great alternative. We've Travelled the states enough to see that our publixes here with few exceptions are far superior. Great experience. They have the usual meat and butchery department, produce department, deli and cold cuts department, bakery department, ready food, prepped food, hot food department, sushi chef on site, lots of other groceries, a liquor store as well as a decent wine department. The management is very nice and has a friendly vibe. All people were helpful, while others done have it yet, this Publix does have a self checkout, which is convenient for smaller shopping trips and fast trips. We always choose a Publix above other stores, because of the vast amount of BOGO and. The customer service.

One the on hand, this is a lovely store. Beautifully maintained, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and the store is well-organized. But the recent developments of the store doing away with carrying a lot of the products I used to regularly buy is driving me to other stores. In the last couple of months they have discontinued over 30 products that were regular staples in my shopping cart, from the Publix Sweet Pickle Chips and their Mango-Coconut Yogurt, to the Philly Cheese-steak Hot Pockets, to the Brown-and-Serve Rolls to the Kraft Light Mayo and so on. Their place on the shelves is now occupied by things like Avocado Mayonnaise (yuk!) Now I have to go to other stores in search of the products I want - and when I find those items at other stores, I begin to do more of my shopping there. So just a word to the wise - these new stocking decisions are alienating a lot of customers.

Main draw for us is Publix's clean, helpful and specialty environment. However, their butcher service is short manned and inconsistent. They close service early 5-6pm. We called for a special ethnic meat cut that required freezing first, said they could and had unlike other locations, a electric slicer. Came by 2 hours later, neither one of butchers on duty knew what we were talking about. Complained, dept. mgr. ordered him to do it, come back 2 hours later. Daughter went and new shift butcher gave her the newest one but didn't understand why we reordered because when he came to work he saw the first one done and in the freezer!!!? What the ....! Well at least the store mgr. gave it to her for free. Drama, drama, drama.

Being my first visit to this location, I couldn't see the produce dept from the entrance. I tried the front, then right side, finally asked if they even had a produce section. It's hidden in left rear corner. Most places give a you view of the heart-warming fresh veggies from the entrance. Not sure why they chose to hide them in back. The prices here are way high. The same Hawaiian rolls I can get at walmart for 3.69 are 4.59 here. That's a pretty hefty premium to walk these hallowed aisles. They do have a better meat selection and some hard to find items like Tiramisu. This is like a fine dining restaurant, It's a once or twice a year treat.

If you don't love this grocery store go back to the planet you came from. Seriously the store is amazingly clean fresh produce fresh meat extremely courteous employees it's as if they are actual owners of the place. And this is not one particular Publix it's through every Publix I've been to during my travels in Florida. If you ask where's the mayonnaise they don't tell you what I'll they walk you to the aisle they point out your choices let you know what's on sale. I'll be posting pictures on my next review. Compared to other supermarkets, Publix is a ripoff and should only be shopped for BOGO's, subs and other things on sale. For instance, Trader Joes stocked a brand butter for $5 before covid, and is still 5$ today. Publix pushed the same brand butter it up to $7.80 and is still the same today. When I asked the manager why has the price not come down, he said the other store must have a sale on and it clearly doesn't. Publix have hiked prices for covid and are fleecing people with overinflated prices on most items. Walmart and Trader Joes are MUCH cheaper, shame on Publix for ripping off loyal customers post COVID.

Thursdays Oct 7 Every time I get a sub with this one guy it's always wrong or a hassle . One time I ask for one half of the sub yellow mustard and other spicy . He messed it up the first time which was fine but then proceeded to mess it up three more times. Today tried again and I asked him to cut it in half at the beginning so he wouldn't waste any bread. He then charged me for two separate 6 inch subs. It was the same sub just wanted different toppings on each half. I really don't know what to do if I want a sub and this guys here.

This Publix location as a great place to shop for groceries if you are near j Turner Butler and Hodges. I've been to this location at least a hundred times over the past 10 years because they have a great bakery, the deli is fantastic. And the meat department is too. I always get the lean ground sirloin. it's the best! They usually have some good BOGO deals, for example a few weeks ago they had Chung;s eggs rolls, buy one get one free. and this week they had Nature Valley snack bars BOGO free so i stocked up.

When I first got to town this is not the closest pharmacy to me but it's been the best pharmacy for me started off with Gabby now I have several great pharmacist that I consider friends with the way they take time for me and Crystal with a K that really go's out of her way to make sure that I get my medication as soon as I walk into Publix or five minutes later after I'm done shopping & this is a great team we have here so I really appreciate them for just being awesome..

WHAT is going on with Management at this Publix A simple request that has been fulfilled many times in the past few years to have strawberry filling added to a NY Style Cheesecake was met with a hostile "NO WE DO NOT DO THAT" After standing in line the young lady I handed it to was quick to oblige before Andre the Manager overheard and came with a hard NO!!!!! His reason "we do not have a tag for that"....... WOW Andre not even on Christmas Eve???

I have lived very close to this Publix 4 over 21 years. I love the employee service. There is always a smiling helping stock boy close if you can't find something. They appear to have a great web service for their employees to check 4 literally anything is in the store. I also use their Pharmacy because I know a pharmacist is always going to be able to answer a question. I know some of these people by name. I have no problems with the store at all.

The entire pharmacy stage is the NICEST group of people I've ever come across in this type of setting, and the entire "Publix's" company should come to train and learn how they All should be treating people/customers and doing things! Thank you for all your kindness and the above and beyond you Always seem to go to be kind and respectful to me and everyone else I e ever seen the entire team come in contact with! I would give 6 ✨if I could!

I just find it funny how Publix says if the price advertised doesn't match what rings up, they'll give you the item for free, yet when it happens to me, not only do they not adjust the price for my item to just the sale price I end up not even being able to get the thing period because I refuse to pay full price when there is a giant sign saying it's on sale for half price. Also, shame on y'all for selling out and putting in self checkout.

My girls have gone here since 01/21, and the staff is wonderful. The pricing is very competitive. The facilities are clean and consistently updated. They offer care for: -Infants -Toddler -VPK -School-agers They have a program in which they offer before and after school care and will even DRIVE your kids to school and PICK them up for after school care. What more could you ask for?! I'd give them more stars if I could!

I've always shopped at Publix. However lately their prices have gotten ridiculously high. Especially when other grocery stores like the one that starts with a "W" has the same exact items and brands for less. Shame on them for gouging their prices like they are. I've also noticed the quality of filet mignon has gone down and many ready made items have less in them for higher prices. I could go on...

The store is great its the Pharmacy they need to revamp and hire a whole new staff. They all have nasty bad attitudes like their doing you a favor by being there. If they hate their jobs that much they should look somewhere else because all they are doing is hurting the stores reputation. We live 1/2 mile away and no one down our street goes there any longer due to the Pharmacy staff.

I stop into publix for their chicken wings or a sub, daily, and anytime the cashier Maggie is working I ALWAYS pick her line. She can always make me laugh and is ALWAYS so nice. Absolutely adore how polite she is and will continue to come in to see her. I tell her when I see her how much joy she brings but I need everyone else to know. #keepitplastic #Waitheresmybags

Really my only issue is the deli, they often times forget to check the status of online orders so a sub that I ordered at 2 to be ready at 2:30 has yet to be noticed, but they're always busy so it happens. Despite that the subs are good, the selection is nice, and if you self checkout you don't really have to wait for anything

Nice and conveniently located, a bit older but clean and organized. Very friendly self check-out staff and front end liaisons. Also, one of the only remaining places on this side of the waterway that carries the 5 gallon water jugs of Zephyrhills and Crystal H2O, jic someone is wondering. Will frequent again.

Employees are doing the best they can to stock shelves with what they are getting in . An elderly woman was giving a stock clerk a horrible time because she wanted something that wasn't there. He was very professional. I was about to say something to her. They are doing the best they can people, be kind.

I enjoy the convenience & hospitality of this store. I'm very disappointed that they no longer offer Publix's made bagels. It's now Einstein Bagels; which is a 75% cost increase per bagel over the old ones and quite frankly they're dry and lacking in flavor. Not an improvement!

Not keeping promises. I was promised that because they were out of a certain sandwich item, that I could get another one at the same special price. When it came to pay I was charged the full rate of that sandwich. Deli dept. needs to be more honest and trustworthy.

It’s MY Publix! Love it, wish it were one of the bigger ones with a salad and an olive bar, but I’m still happy it’s here! Oh, also wish it had Latin cheeses, like Queso Fresco Cacique, but I’m glad it’s here. The staff is amazing!!!

we received our covid vaccs with this publix and the pharmacy manager, philip, was absolutely fantastic. he was sososo nice and helpful, he truly made the experience excellent. so glad we picked this location, highly recommend!

Can’t go wrong with Publix. Clean stores, good products, awesome deli. This location has friendly staff and is usually busy, but not too hard to find decent parking. Easy out at the light to get down busy Hodges Blvd.

I always seek out opportunities to shop at Publix. This is one of the smaller style stores but is still a nice one. Parking lot was recently paved which made a big positive difference to the exterior.

I made a return, because I changed my mind about an item that I purchased. Though the employee did refund my money, she had an attitude about it. I thought that Publix always welcomed all customers?!

Nice newer Publix with very friendly staff. Also it's very easy to get into the lot from the road and to leave. It's a little further for me to go but I often use this one because it seems better.

Everything is top notch and the employees are friendly and go out of their way to help you. Their merchandise can sometimes be a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I love this store.

Other than being accosted by some cute Boy Scout types (maybe baseball?) totally missed the entry door due to goofy design leaning away from our direction of travel, so that could be better.

It's a pretty good store only thing that bothered me is I had to buy feminine products from the paper towel and tinfoil isle. Those aren't paper goods and it took a bit to find them.

Whenever I come to Publix, it's always a positive experience. In particular, I always look forward to seeing Maggie as she always makes an effort to make me smile and to make my day.

This is the greatest supermarket I have ever visited. The aisles are maintained beautifully and the people are just as nice as can be. I have never seen such a neat store!!

Publix is a big supermarkes in Jacksonville. One can get anything from kitchen stuffs to drinks,wines furnitures. But it is expensive compared to Walmart and Target.

They only had one package of fried chicken. Unfortunately the breading tastes so much better than the tasteless chicken. We were in and out in a flash. Thank you
