"Hiking was novice until about the last mile down, in which it became VERY steep"
"Wow! Not only are the views stunning but the steep walk down to the bottom of the punch bowl is definitely worth it if you are at a reasonable fitness level to climb back up again"
"It’s a small wall from car park towards the look out area and the walking trail is easy enough for everyone"
"Beautiful place to visit"
"Nice walk down along the mountain plenty of wild life and plants the track has an increasing number of people going to it"
Hiking was novice until about the last mile down, in which it became VERY steep. Fit people will have no problem getting to the bottom, others will be somewhat challenged, and will require a couple of short brakes. Bring extra water in the heat as its a couple hours worth in just the hike. Wild Kangaroos inhabit the area, observe caution. WATCH your step!!! A couple of spots its one wrong move, and down you go!! I wouldn't recommend going with children under 10. Be VERY careful to remember the trail up from the river bottom, it can be easy to miss.
Wow! Not only are the views stunning but the steep walk down to the bottom of the punch bowl is definitely worth it if you are at a reasonable fitness level to climb back up again. We hiked 8km here and still didn’t cover all of it. We encountered many kangaroos near the end as we approached our car which was such a treat to get quite close to them.
It’s a small wall from car park towards the look out area and the walking trail is easy enough for everyone. Once you reach here you will see the water hole and natural landscape that you will fall in love with. Breathtaking view and scenery. A must visit in southern Adelaide
Beautiful place to visit. The view from the lookout is stunning, especially at sunset. The hike down to the actual punchbowl water hole is a little tough but worth it. Great place for a secluded swim. Feels like something you'd find in Northern Territory.
Nice walk down along the mountain plenty of wild life and plants the track has an increasing number of people going to it. I enjoy the walk and the view from the lookout is nice i recommend this track for people in the area.
Really worth a look. Nice walk from carpark to lookout along a family friendly trail. You will be amazed it so close to the southern suburbs. A deep valley with waterfalls, bring the binoculars and camera.
My first time there road the push bike to the car park then walked to the lookout took some photos with my phone and some with my Nikon P900 I will have to go again to see the rest another day
So beautiful throughout this area, well set out trails and signage. Toliet and drinking fountains situated at the car park at Gate 11. I'll be back time and time again exploring and wandering.
My wife and I find it a beautiful place to go for walks. With a large number of the trails in which the onkaparinga council have designed still new to us. Must try a few of them this weekend.
A very well sign posted easy walk on a wide well packed gravel path. The lookout itself is well built and offers excellent views. Kangaroos are frequently present. Bikes also use the track.
25mins drive from adelaide centre and you’ll be amazed by the beauty of this place. It partly reminds the structure of Blue Lake in Gambier. Good for hiking. Must visit place.
Great trails for bikes or walking, can get all the way to the lookout with a bike. Beautiful view, stop and listen to the river flowing below
Peaceful fresh spot to take in the natural surroundings and amazing views! Quite cold on winter sunrise mornings but still very beautiful.
If you love the outdoors, there are plenty of hiking trails, a lookout over the Gorge, plenty of fresh air and wonderful views...
Great little easy walk out to the lookout. Takes about 15min each way No toilets nearby. Picnic tables for a lunch with a view!

Very easy walk, about 1km return to carpark, excellent views of gorge on from recently built lookout platform
Beautiful place. Nice lookout. Small walk from carpark. Couldn't see any kangaroos or any other fauna.
Fantastic views, wonderful and well-maintained trails. Keep an eye out for kangaroos early in the day.
