"This is the worst library ever"
This is the closest library to my home. It's small but quaint and always clean. My biggest issue is the noise level. I understand that there are not rooms separating the different sections in the library and that's fine because, as previously mentioned, it's a small establishment. However, the employees are usually the loudest one in the library. They're always having conversations, usually right next to each other, and you could hear them on the opposite end. They make no attempts to use their inside voice; always very loud and some of them are very rude and need in service for customer relations because they are not fit for their position. Another issue is that they only have about six computers but many times persons have to be put on a wait list because this one employee is occupying the computer (usually playing candy crush or something of the sort). In my humble opinion, the entire staff should be replaced, from the bottom on up.
I've been visiting libraries in Queens area and I too have experienced Loud talking staff. I recommend Elmhurst as the best for a quiet library experience. Why won't management do something about this noise level? Are they too noisy to 'hear' there is a Problem in their libraries? Lastly the inattentiveness of the staff neglecting to amend wrong information that they are open on Saturdays and they're not!!
I find that the library is quiet and comfortable but I find the non American staff is rude and curt. Particularly the male who sits in the front he does not articulate in English that well and although I thought it was just me who vaguely understood him I found another gentleman had the same experience he tends to avoid you and act busy when needing help and blows you
This garbage place had the nerve to say I delivered books late when I dropped them off a day before they were due. Saying I dropped them off at a time they aren't even open and can't even push books down the shoot. That's the time they finally decided to log the books, and tied to blame me for. Haven't paid the fines, never will.
This is the worst library ever. They are quick to turn you away or send u to the manager (who is never at her desk) without offering to help. It’s policy is so antiquated. I only go there because it’s close to the house but then it makes no sense because it’s hard to get anything done.
The female staff who worked on the night of 02/23/18 was very nasty , unprofessional and irresponsible. She make her own rules and discriminates against ethnicities and tribe. She was reported to 311 she refused to give her name. It's makes that branch unfriendly and unprofessional
Probably someone could work on the situation at the Baisley Library. On the website, it says open. However, when a call is made there is a recording that says it will open in the spring of 2022. Misleading, but please fix this problem on the web.
The times are not correct online. I'm here at 11:18am on a Wednesday to print my resume and cover letter, but they are closed. They are supposed to have been opened and operating since 10am. This is very unprofessional and inconvenient.
This Queens library is NOT OPEN at 10am on Tuesdays. This needs to be updated immediately! Traveled a great distance, wasted gas and time only to find out they arenot open until 1pm on Tuesdays. FIX IT FELIX!!! …
