Garden center looks wonderful but don't expect a lot of help lifting heavy stones onto the blue carts and into your car. Had two small children (3 years old and 1 year old) with me and had an extremely hard time getting help, despite paying for the pavers and asking if someone could assist me. When I was told to pull right up to the garden center and they would be ready for me I thanked them. However after putting my kids in car seats and pulling up no one could be found. I was told that the man helping me had gone to break and when I asked if a manager could be contacted in order to get someone else to help me, I was told that the man there before was the only one working in the garden center. I was on my own. Another customer thought I worked at the store (asking me about flowers) and when she discovered I wasn't an employee, couldn't believe I was doing all the work I was doing on my own. Not to mention she couldn't find anyone to answer her question at that time either. I saw a couple of employees on their cell phones, unwilling to help. Pretty sad. Eventually a very nice employee sweeping the parking lot came to help me after seeing me struggling and my two kids in the car. He was also shocked that I wasn't getting any help. I'm hoping it was just a handful of employees that have this work ethic at the LOWES in Ancaster and I caught them on a bad day because its a very convenient location and the selection seems very good.

Horrible store, absentee employees and rude staff. I just finished shopping there at 5:30 p.m. or so on June 25th 2018 spending about $200. After not being able to find a vertical cart that could fit plywood I had to borrow one from an employee using it to transport Goods around the store. I couldn't move down the aisles with any other type of buggy because they were so narrow. I wanted to get some flooring and the employee that was covering the staff that was on lunch couldn't operate the laminate machine and asked me to wait half an hour for them to come back. While waiting for half an hour I was privileged to hear many employee personal conversations of inappropriate nature because they had nothing to do or were avoiding customers. After finding what I needed in the clearance aisle I went to go check out and the cashier couldn't figure out how to match the clearance price. When I asked her to match it or Beat It whoever was acting as a manager mumbled under her breath "are you serious". She then could not scan in the styrofoam insulation I had purchased because it had no tag and had to look it up online to find the price. After finally checking out I headed to my car and the checkout lady forgot to give me one of my bags. So I had to go back to the store to retrieve them. I don't know if this place is always like this but it doesn't make me want to go back. Freaking disaster

First of all a big THANK YOU to Mike, the store manager. We recently purchased a new BBQ and were very excited to receive it, as we asked that it be delivered. When we took the wrapping off of the BBQ that was put together by Lowe's, we were very disappointed to see a huge dent on the front control panel. I contacted the store to complain about the damaged item and asked the staff member that I was talking to what our options would be to make things right. I was told that I had to speak to Gail, the Manager of the seasonal department. I was then transferred to her extension - no answer! I called back and asked to speak to Gail directly, but again - no answer. I called several times for over a two hour period, requesting to speak to Gail, and never once did she call me back or answer the phone when it was transferred to her. I therefore contacted Mike the General Manager of the store and after speaking to him things started to happen. This message is to Mike - a big thank you for replacing the damaged BBQ with another one. Needless to say that I am very happy things turned out the way they did even though it took some doing. My advice to Mike would be to deal with Gail as she definitely needs some customer service lessons. I should not have had to go the top as they say. Gail should have called me back and dealt with the issue herself. Thanks again Mike!

My experience was horrible, it was my very first time and would be the last time dealing with any of the Lowe's stores. I ordered online three, four inch dryer vent blockers. While purchasing, it clearly showed that the items were available at this store Lowe's of Ancaster. But, when I went there for pick-up, after waiting half hour, one of the employees came to me and mentioned that they did not have it in their inventory. But on online, they were showing they had. So, it was their mistake on inventory management. The employee apologized and I understood that it might happen sometimes, especially during this COVID period. He said that they were issuing the refund right away. However, they haven't had done the refund that day. So, I called next day, they again apologized and said they would do it now. Again, they did not do it. So, I called again another day and spoke with one of the managers, Eyen. He said that the refund was not issued in the last two attempts simply because the employees did not know how to do that. He confirmed now that the refund has been processed and issued to the card. With these experiences, I will avoid particularly this store at any cost and if possible, any other stores, since they do not care about the customers with having incompetent store employees. I would never recommend this store in future.

I placed an order for curb side pickup on May 4, 2020. It is now May 13, and I still haven't received an email for pickup. I was told that the store is now open which means I could go in and purchase the items I had ordered. However, I wanted to cancel my order before proceeding as I didn't want to be charged on my Lowes card. That's not an easy process. You can choose between waiting online from anywhere up to 45 minutes or get on the phone and wait for about the same. I could have ordered the same 6 items from Amazon and had them long ago. I thought I would support my local store but won't make that mistake again. I realize that there are currently difficulties with operating a business during a pandemic. I have patiently waited for over a week and heard nothing from a store that is minutes from my residence. I have neighbors that have ordered identical items from Amazon and received them days ago. Apparently, Lowes is not up to the task. By the way, I sent them an email a few days back and they opened a case file which I expect will likely take longer to resolve than the actual order. Picking up in stock items from your local Lowes shouldn't take over a week in any circumstances but making the customer jump through hoops and wait for 45 minutes just to cancel an order is completely unacceptable. I won't shop here again.

I went into the store to purchase Sherwin Williams paints as my mother told me it was buy 2 get 1 free. I picked out my color then grabbed 3 cans beside the sale sign. The girl at the counter never asked me about the sale, or promoted it in any way. When I got to the check out all 3 cans rang in at full price. Aside from the paint attendant not promoting the sale going on, the placement of the sale signs were in a spot indicating ALL Sherwin Williams paint was on sale (unless you read the small print of course). I asked a customer standing nearby what she would think the sale was for based on the placement, and she agreed with me. I took a photo just in case. When I asked to speak to the manager to see if anything could be done, the paint attendant had to go looking for him. 5-10 min later she came back alone and said , "unfortunately since the signs there, and you got it tinted we can't help you". I took my cans back to the front where the cash attendant was shocked to hear that the manager didn't even come to speak to me himself, and was more than willing to hand me the store managers card and give me the manager on duties name. Needless to say I would rate this stores customer service extremely low. I went in with a $100 budget and left $200 poorer .

I would like to thank Angelo, head cashier at the Ancaster Lowes who assisted us in our search for patio stones that matched stones we had purchased earlier at Rona and had seen earlier in the year at the Ancaster location. We found out after the fact that the stones had been discontinued and were no longer in the manual inventory books, but were often on display at some of the Rona stores in Hamilton and Burlington but were not able to be sourced as they did not have accurate bar codes or item numbers at the displays. Trying to find them on the Lowes website led us to order the wrong stones which we had to return. But Angelo took the time to listen to our experience and helped us get the patio stones we wanted. Lowes Ancaster had a 97 of the exact stones we wanted on a skid in the garden center, but they were mislabeled and not findable on the website. Angelo worked with us and the manager to secure the patio stones and get them delivered on the date and time promised. Both my wife and I very much appreciate the time and persistence Angelo dedicated so that we could get the patio stones that matched our previously ordered stones. Angelo was helpful, pleasant and patient while working through the issues involved in ordering this orphan patio stones.

I purchased verticals from Lowes in October and received them in good order - however I was hoping my nephew could install them to save a bit but he didn't want to open them as he didn't feel confident. I went back to Lowes and talked to Kris and paid $305 to have an installer do the job. The installer (Manny) came and put up the valances in both rooms but said that the track needed to be cut in order to fit. This was over a week ago He took the track and I have had two calls from him saying that the track would be ready this week (either on Tues Dec 15 or Dec 17) I heard nothing more and when I called him he didn't have an answer for me. I have left 3 messages for Kris to please give me a call to see what was going on. No response. I feel that after paying $305 and having Manny here for approx 40 minutes this is outrageous!!!! I need an answer as to what is happening and what is going to be done. I am so very disappointed with this type of service when I was promised it could be done - no problem The staff (Kris) was so courteous and helpful and I am at a loss to understand why there has no response from her or anyone done. Having no window coverings is not acceptable Thank you

This was a tough one since my experience is broken down over two days. On day 1 it was amazing 5/5 in fact I purchased $4000 worth of patio furniture and accessories. The lady who helped us was amazing and went out of her way to make our shopping experience a great one. Day 2 came to pick up my purchases made on day 1, got a friend with a pick up and lowes staff loaded the truck. Got home and notice that a table was missing from the items, no biggie went to the store and told the service desk that we were missing one item. This is where it goes down hill, the girl starts to accuse me of trying to get an extra table and that I was trying to scam them to get a free table, well I was livid I couldn't believe what I was hearing. She went on to say they would check the cameras to double check.... I did end up speaking to the duty manager who immediately found the table with my name tag still on it. Anyways I won't ever go back to this lowes location.

Not at all impressed by the service. I went in to order a mini fridge that was on sale. The first gentleman that tried to assist me was unfortunately busy with another customer. The second was rude and condescending. He acted like it was painful to assist me. He made little effort to help find the fridge online. He looked for it in stock after I explained to him the the website said it was only available for special order. When he went to the website he made a lack luster attempt to find it. I had to go into my deleted emails to get the stock number. When he pulled it up he called the distribution center to find out how long it would take to come in. There was a 5 min hold time. After holding for 3 minutes he hung up to help someone else! Thankfully the first gentleman was finished with the other customers and he came and helped me and ordered what I needed. He was much kinder. Will not be going there again unless I absolutely have to.

We are building a pergola and needed 6x6 post bases which were proving difficult to find. The stock online wasn't adding up to what was in store so after checking two Lowe's and failing, I wanted to call Ancaster before driving all the way there. I was lucky enough to be connected with Susan. She saw the online stock and went crazy looking for these post bases for me. She looked everywhere and was extremely helpful, but we concluded they didn't have them in stock. I ended up in Brampton later that day to pick them up. Well the following day, Susan called me to let me know she had 6 of them and could hold them for me! Fortunately I already picked up 6 from Brampton, but the fact that she went out of her way the following day to contact me was unlike any customer service I've ever experienced. I genuinely was smiling and could not believe she went so out of her way to help me get what I needed. You rock, Susan! Thanks a million!

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience at Lowes Ancaster. I waited 20 mins to have a vanity ordered, only to get to the cash and realize that the bill was not done properly and it needed to be done again, taking another 20 mins. I paid in full for the vanity and was told it was arrive in 7 days. After 7 days I went to the store to check and see if it was there and it was not. I waited 7 more days before returning only to be told that the order was never put in, despite having paid in full. We called customer service and we were told that the vanity would arrive on Wednesday of the same week. It did not arrive until Friday albeit at a 10% discount. Today when we unwrapped our bathroom vanity it had a huge crack on the side and a scratch on the front. All in all, a terrible customer experience. After all of that we still do not have a bathroom vanity for the contractor and our project is delayed at least another week.

I've been holding off on giving a review since I find that it is usually a hit or miss with this store but more misses in the last little while. Some of the employees are knowledgeable of their products and others are not at all and rather than finding someone who does have more knowledge, they just tell you sorry. It is also very annoying when their own employees don't know what their sales are and that I have to point it out to them in their own flyers. I'm not sure if this is a common thing but during my most recent visit, the employees and managers seem to prefer to stand around and socialize rather than attend to the long line of people at the customer service desk. This is just my two cents. Not all bad here, prices are usually good when there's a sale but please put more effort into training your employees.

First thing some staff of this location especially has to understand this is not the hardest job in the world and you guys are getting paid not to talk with your friends at the place. Went to the store waited around 30 minutes called the staff, told me she is dealing another customer but she was talking to her friend just standing and talking. Time is important for everyone. Also at checkout, come on dont give the attitude, i took the things to checkout the staff doesn’t pay attention to me as mine has no barcode on it its a custom cut product. Keeping store clean doesnt bring more customers, its not first time for me this its always like this , i go this location only if Homedepot doesnt have the stuff over there. I would recommend management of this location to take their staff for customer service.

Multiple poor experiences here. Incorrect materials recommendations for tiling, won't return for store credit items just outside the 90 day window and lack of care for defective material. We returned a box of tiles that were all defective. When we ended up needing a few more to finish our job we went back a week later and the box we returned were back out on the floor complete with our sharpie markers circling the defects. Waited around to talk to the Manager. She barely cared and said they can't always return them to the manufacturer but they should have been walked down. We were prepared to buy multiple items for our reno today but we walked out empty handed and they didn't care. If you have to go to Lowes we recommend the one on Appleby, they seem to be more knowledgeable and customer oriented.

Come into the store yesterday to but some lights and was unable to get any help for 15 min. when I rang a help button a person came and shut it off and very rudely told me they were busy and to just wait. I waited 20 min before going and asking for a manager. The manager then called me a layer and brushed off the incident. Then the lights I was there to buy were not on clearance like they where at every other store. The list price was $244.00 and on clearance at all the other stores but this one for $89.00 She then refused to match the prices because I was layer and said the best she could do was $200.00 I then went to Hamilton and found the remaining lights I needed for the clearance price. Will never come back to this location. Staff are rude and incompetent.

I got a new condo and needed to get appliances. I shopped around and found the cheapest ones, not at Lowes but somewhere else. My friend told me that Lowes has the best price match policy so I could match all the prices from the other place and they would not only match the price but give me a 10% discount off of the lower price! I ended up getting every single appliance there and saved close to $1000.00 from any other advertised price I could find. Not only that but I had a problem with one of my appliances, and they came and picked it up, no questions asked and delivered me a brand new one. I go to Lowes now for everything I need for my home. I find them so easy to deal with for returns too. Great customer service!

Went to this location for the first time since the snow blower I wanted was here and nowhere else. I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and knowledgeable the staff is at this location. Had a ton of questions about snow blower maintenance and Ray gave me some valuable tips and advice. The snow blower was too big to fit in my trunk and Pratik (and Ashley) in customer service went over and above to provide the help I needed. Huge THANKS to the whole team - and John the M.O.D. I had a great experience at this Lowe's location. It's great to see how all the staff are unified and make the experience great for their customers. Thanks again! Well earned 5-Stars, guys. Have an awesome upcoming holiday season! ☝

Bought an LG dishwasher here , 2 years old . Almost caused a house fire . Burned plastic and wiring at the back . Faulty wiring and heating element. Purchased online due to pandemic closure. Requested a copy of invoice. Simple request . They said they would send . Called several times . No one looked into it . No invoice sent. I do not recommend this company, they don’t care . I also would highly recommend that customers steer clear of the LG brand, as they also seem unconcerned that I almost had a house fire caused by this faulty appliance. It’s going to be disposed of , I can’t even sell this in good conscience as a second hand appliance, as it is a fire hazard. Disgusted with service from both LG and LOWES.

I do like this store, however I prefer Home Depot for better selection and better business practices. For example, you have standard 'cards' for smart home items which are locked up for security purposes, but the number of cards on the shelf, does not actually reflect what you have in stock. I've bought and paid for items, only to find out after the purchase that they're not in stock. This is a bizarre system, and i'm sure the customer would love to know you're sold out before hand, rather than paying, then waiting while a manager refunds your purchase. Also, like home depot, your POS terminals do not accept tap-pay. Digital wallets are becoming a bigger thing so I hope you upgrade them in the near future.

I went to Lowes Ancaster at 4:15 today (Saturday March 19, 2022) to buy BBQ. They had a great selection and good prices. I picked out my model and then went to customer service to get help as there was nobody in that department at that time. The employee was great at customer service as he made an announcement immediately for a staff member to come to the seasonal section to help me. The bbq I wanted was on the shelving above so I needed an employee to grab it. I waited 15 min and no one came so I left. They missed out on a sale and i wont go back. Home Depot here i come. They will get my $800 tomorrow. Funny thing is I thought of Lowes first. I never complain but this time I have to say something.

Big, big store so preplan what you need to look at and avoid going around in Big, big circles! All the stuff you would imagine at a hardware store of course, plus a big garden section and area for contractor pickup. The parking lot is a bit crazy, they have lumber, landscape items & a small village of assembled sheds that make parking a bit of a treat but at least plenty of spots! I don't find their prices any different from HD and to be honest I can barely tell one store from the other if it weren't for the color of all the displays and staff uniforms. So if you're physically fit by all means, wander in...those easily winded or with walking issues I'd advise to pre-order for curbside or delivery.

Came here on a Saturday around 1pm with my husband and we were trying to get some paint. We pressed the 'need help' button 4 times. Its now 1:32 pm and no one has come to assist us. Not sure if they're just extremely short staffed but waiting half an hour for help is ridiculous. We ended up leaving our cart and heading to home depot where we were served within 5 minutes. I'd suggest getting more associates like Rob. He's the only one that helped direct us and tried his hardest to assist. I asked another associate for help and he said someone would be with me when they could. No empathy for having waited half an hour. Pretty poor service overall and I wont return to this store or location.

Bought 5 blinds a few weeks back at reduced price. Asked the associate that worked in that department if I could bring them back to get cut. His answer was yes then i asked if I could bring the 2 small ones back if they didn't fit his answer was of course. Went back today to get 2 big ones cut and return the 2 small ones as too short. Was told couldn't return them as they had put them on clearance for 5 dollars and weren't taking any returns starting today even though their associate had said yes. I guess you cannot trust Lowe's employees to know the policy. So if you are going to purchase anything there call for a manager and get their policies in writing or just avoid this store.

I went to Lowe’s to purchase a band Saw Saturday April 7. There was nobody in the dept. It took 10 minutes for someone to even go through. They promised to come back when they were done with the current customer. 30 minutes later no sign of a single sales person. I took a picture of the tag and went to the customer desk. Waited 10 minutes more and the person behind me was helped instead. Left the store and went to my car. Called the Lowe’s on Barton st in Hamilton to check on the product. The guy in the tool section said the don’t sell band saws!! Complete waste of my valuable time. Both stores mentioned are a 30 min drive from my house. What a let down off to Home Depot I go

I run a business in the same plaza and live around the corner… we usually travel to Home Depot 10minutes away due to this location being poorly organized and staff not knowing where anything is. Never had a negative experience at a hardware store until I lived beside this one. Went back there today for a quick stop and staff was less helpful than usual. Sent to wrong isles, no barcodes on items, staff not willing to help just send you elsewhere. Once I finally found the product and got to self. Heck out there is no barcode. The staff asked me if I could go get another, seems like they should be doing the work not myself. Also they were sold out of nearly all shackles.

There's actually humans, ready and waiting to help you. With friendly greetings from many departments while strolling by on a lazy Sunday morning, it set the entire tone for our shopping experience. Whilst trying to answer my own question and reading a ceiling fan box, I was greeted by a darling older gentleman, who knew exactly what I was talking about. He walked us straight to the product I needed and pointed out a few different options to choose from. I walked away from that interaction happy and satisfied my home project would be how Ive pictured it. It was right there that I vowed that I rather drive the extra few (25) miles just to shop at the Ancaster lowe's.

We ordered a Patio set and on day of delivery they informed us that 2 chairs were missing( after we had to correct the delivery address twice). They did not call the day before to give us a delivery window and we had to chase them on delivery day to get a time window. They said that the chairs may now be unavailable and too bad that we can not get them to complete the order. ( They were available when we ordered ) Lastly the delivery people we the rudest we have ever dealt with. Fortunately consumers have choice and we will never use Loews again and would never recommend them. Wayfair and others we have dealt with are far far better. Do not shop Loews!

I had to wait an hour and ten minutes in the Lancaster parking lot for one item. I had a "pickup appointment" for 10:am, arrived at 9:55 am, but my order didn't come out until 11:10 am. I spoke with three different staff and they could not explain the delay. The third person said a manager would be out to see me but that didn't happen. All around me people were arriving, picking up their orders and leaving - while I waited for almost 75 minutes. I tried to contact a person via the customer care line but I could not get through. I won't shop at Lowes again - this was a very frustrating experience - they obviously don't care about customer service.

The staff at this location are unfriendly and of no help. I left today and took my lumber order elsewhere. I wasted 1hour of my busy day. I should have gone to the competition first. All I needed was to find 8 inch spikes. Two different sales people later and still I was misdirected to where the spikes were. Then they just walked away. So I walked away got in my van and drove away with an empty trailer that should have had a lumber order in it. I'm going to travel further to the competition in future. Lowes is really not a player. More like a feeble attempt. By the way the competition supplied me with all my needs courteously and professionally

Would never shop here again. It was bad enough that I waited a month for my order to be fulfilled after placing the order online. When I arrived to pickup my merch, they kept me waiting almost 40mins while serving other curbside customers who arrived way after me. Then when I asked the lot associate about where is my order, he accused me of "stepping to him" (because I got out of my car to get his attention, and then proceeded to get his manager. Then said manager literally told me to "kick rocks" and other derogatory comments before proceeding to send someone else with my merchandise. Never seen such disrespect from a retail outlet in my life!

UPDATE: August 2023....terrible service, now RONA. The guy at the contractors desk couldn't give us info as he had only been there for 2 days. No one else available. No one around the lumber area or any other department for that matter to ask for help. Went to customer service and they said they would call someone to meet us at the lumber area. The person never showed up so we left. RONA lost an $8000.00 purchase that day. We went to Home Depot and will not return to RONA!! In 2022 we had excellent service when it was Lowes at the contractors desk with Conor. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful with our large lumber order.

Outstanding customer service !! We recently moved and have visited this Lowes on 3 different occasions; each time we were met with a smile and staff that goes above & beyond. First time we went looking for appliances and with the help of Terry we found everything we needed and he helped us set up delivery and gathered more info for us which was great! Recently we went in search of bathroom vanities and were helped by Steve who quickly helped us in securing the vanity we were looking for and also gave us some great advice. So far this Lowes has exceeded our expectations in terms of customer service. Keep it up :)

Very disappointed in the lack of customer service and visibility on orders. After submitting an order over a week ago - still no response and literally no way to communicate with an employee at the store nor head office?! I appreciate the challenges of times, but this is now 2/2 with 2 different Lowes stores - and in the week I found the product I needed elsewhere! I ordered this on May 19th - today is May 29th - and I ordered an item that was IN STOCK!? Get your act together Lowes. If you offer a service, make sure it works. Otherwise, close and accept reality that you're not equipped to offer online services.

Curbside is great when done properly. I noticed a lot of people before posting that it took hours to get their items. Wait til you get your pick up email in order to not have to wait. If you come after placing your order you will wait, follow instructions lol. You won't be able to get your product (jump the line) just because its a tube of caulking. Don't get mad at these employees who are stressed to begin with. Grab a coffee and wait your turn, Ive done curbside and you are in your comfy car while employees are still trying to help and exposing themselves to possible risk. Take it easy on them!

An incredible situation. I am coming to rent a carpet cleaning machine. One person busy and three people standing around. I ask how to do the necessary, the girl says the person who does it is with someone else busy. That's part of his job she doesn’t do that. After waiting for an hour or so, the same girl tells me that no one will help me and that I should go somewhere else to rent because the person who does that has a lot of customers … And I came from the other side of town because Lowe’s used to be there, they had the best machines. This was my first and last time coming in this store.

Ordered a outdoor griddle online for my parents xmas gift. I was told it would arrive on the 11th it was a few days late. No big problem. Received a call that it was in but i missed the call. I called back 3 mins later and they had no clue about my order. Finally after searching every possible # they found my info. I went to pick it up that same day and again when i got there they couldnt find my info. Finally found it again and they brought it out all beat up. The box was all damaged. Luckily the bbq inside wasnt. Unfortunately we had to give my parents an ugly beat xmas gift

Changed their refund system. No receipt, no refund, even with same credit card or pro account. They can’t look it up. Lady at customer service, well shouldn’t be in customer service.. came off aggressive, looking ready for confrontation, guess that is her regular experience, wonder why??? didn’t sit well with me. The young gentleman that actually processed my credit return, credit note issued, was more understanding of my dissatisfaction with the change in policy. Will think twice about going out of my way to Lowes when competition makes refunds so much easier.

needed 200 fence boards. Bought 100 today ($578.56)and intended to buy remainder tomorrow. The bin was full (hundreds of boards) of other peoples rejects.... cracked, marked, broken, warped, badly treated. complete rubbish. after spending 15 minutes, trying to find anything decent (found only 5), we gave up. Went inside and got a refund, then went to home depot (it took less than 10 minutes to fill our order). to be fair, staff was friendly and apologetic, but couldn't assist further. will return to HD tomorrow to fill our order.

Original: Staff are helpful - however, their parking lot does not have security cameras (my car was involved in a hit-and-run). Update: I just called the phone number listed below (6/15/2023), and customer service had no clue why I would call them. They thought I was searching for something on Google. When I explained to them, their response was, "It doesn't make any sense". So when the respondent says they take these things "very seriously", that's clearly not true - they wrote that in the review to make everyone think they do.

Store manager Mike Tapuska and his staff refused to provide us with information we requested and are entitled to be provided as Canadian consumers while we were debating to spend over of $5000 at this Lowe's store. It's hard to just name a few employees, since they have all been very helpful, polite, and attentive, however I must say that Stephen M. in fashion plumbing is fantastic! Pleasant, calls to advise of order status and helpful. Also Scott in the doors/ windows section is very helpful as well. Ancaster Lowes is always my first choice. One day during a very bad rain storm, they even had someone waiting with umbrellas to meet entering customers!! I love this place!! Thanks for being so thoughtful!

Ordered a shed from Lowes Ancaster and had a 3:00 pm pick up time.Had to wait about 20 minutes before there was enough help to load shed into pick up.When we were more than half way through we ran out of screws .I contacted the store but they declined to give me enough screws to finish the shed.Although the supplier of the shed made the error I think Lowes could have helped replace the missing screws but they would not. Therefore we had to but screws to finish the shed.Totally disappointed!!

We frequent this location because it is closest to us. They usually have what we are looking for in stock or can order it. We prefer the Brantford and Burlington locations because the service at the Ancaster location is SO hit or miss. We have had two encounters at this location in the past week with both an employee and a manager that had us going to home depot just so we did not have to deal with their terrible/poor customer relations. They could definitely use some updates with training.

I had an issue with paint I purchased at the Ancaster store. I returned it the next day expecting some form of compensation. The paint department and customer service were of no help, they suggested I contact the paint manufacturer. I'm disappointed that a big box store wouldn't stand behind the products they sell, especially one day after purchasing. I purchsed more paint at Home Depot, if I have a problem with it I'm confident their excellent paint department will look after me.

I had Purchase 1 Item they told me to wait for 15 Minutes for it ! I waited and waited 55 Minutes later . I had Complained the First Time Half Hour later . One of the Staff said they’re getting it for you now. I complained the Second time she said the Same thing they’re coming ..... I don’t get any sincerely Apology.... Not 1 Single time I go there without having any Problems! I think I am Completely Done with Supporting Lowe’s ........ Very very Unsatisfied customer!

Worst customer service ever! There's way too many employees in this store with the "it's not my job" attitude. Went to sign up for VIP account which clerk suggested to get discount on my purchase. 10 minutes at customer service than clerk took me too lumber so I didn't have to wait any longer & the guy there that does this was "too busy" driving wood around. Maybe next time take 2 minutes off towmotor & help a paying customer. Off to Home Depot I went. Will not return

Staff are very nice, however, had an issue with waiting 2 hours for my order to be pulled for pick up, had to leave and come back. Sent complaint email to Lowes.ca, local Ancaster manager called me and simply apologized & said it was a "learning experience for staff". Did NOT even offer compensation for the 2 hours I had to waste waiting there. Not satisfactory! Front line staff are nice & seem to do their best, but management clearly does NOT value customers there.

Poor contractor services they failed and weren't there for me and my company when I needed them. Hamilton location is a little better but the employees at the burlington Lowe's seem to care more about their customers and contractors. My experience with Lowe's Ancaster was so bad I will no longer be conducting business with any locations. Go to home depot specially through covid and lockdowns, wait times are minutes lowes are days. Lowes just lost another contractor.

I like products that Lowes carries better than home depot. I find they have more stylish products when it comes to kitchens, bathrooms and lighting. I find overall the staff is not as knowledgeable as home depot but there are a few experts if you are fortunate enough to find them. Also it is hard to find an associate if you need assistance. There are buttons you can press to call an associate which is helpful. The store is clean and the parking is sufficient.

Excellent customer service at the returns desk today and yesterday with the returns cashier and Peter an assistant store manager. I'm a frequent Lowes shopper. I do find that most goods from there live up to their intended levels of quality, but unfortunately sometimes they don't. In my experience I have found that Lowes has stood behind their products by accepting returns and providing either a refund or a store credit. It results in risk free purchasing.

Could not help but notice the parking for disabled customers is father from the entrance than the parking spaces reserved for customer pick-up. Suggest store management park in the disabled spot, put a small rock in their shoe, and then walk into the store until they find a power scooter. Also note there are no vehicles using the Customer Pick-up spots. Those few extra steps really matter to some people and I hope someone sees fit to resolve this issue.

The worst ever curbside experience i have ever had. When i arrived, the number given on the board kept ringing and after a few minutes it just dropped. After trying several times, i went to the fromt of the store and 3 students were just sitting there, with clip boards. I told one of them, my dilemma and he said he would do something about it. Somebody eventually came with my goods 45min after i arrived. This was by far the worst experience i have had.

Friendly staff and good selection, but I’m very disappointed that there is no tap for credit cards. Came out for a last minute emergency buy with only my phone and there wasn’t even the option to purchase the item online, and take it as an online pick up as it has to “process” overnight. I don’t understand how a company this large is so far behind the times. Would have been nice for the associates to have a manager/supervisor come and help.

I’ve been in Lowe’s more than usual lately and have been so impressed. Steven is the head cashier and he is the most receptive, helpful and pleasant employee I have ever met. It was a pleasure to be checking out early in the morning and listen to the various team members being recognized for their performances during a employee huddle. Way to go Steven and everyone else at Lowe’s. You are doing a wonderful job and I truly appreciate it!!

I went to the Ancaster Lowe's and truly it was one of the best experiences I've had. Barb who works in kitchens and design answered all our questions, gave us things to think about and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. And for purchasing our applicable Sam and Sal were also super accommodating and informative. We have a budget and we were very honest and we were also met with honesty and transparency. They had what I was looking for. CIL Bone Meal as advertised on their website, that 2 other Lowe's didn't. Yet they advertised they did. Very nice gentleman on the phone went to look for me. Called me back to confirm. Doesn't get much better than that. Thank you so much Lowe's Ancaster!!! I wish other stores would check their stock before showing items are available, when they truly aren't . It was worth the drive. Beautiful store. ❤️

Used self checkout. Items scanned at wrong price. Waited 5 mins for assistance that never came. Not a single regular checkout open either. Only reason for 2 stars was for the fella that helped us in the aisles and the the garden centre cashier that we ended up using to pay for our stuff. I've never been more tempted to just walk out without paying in my life. This store is a joke and they can stick it! Home depot it is from now on.

Update: avoid at all costs. 2 months and 3 2 hours visits later we finally have the product. Once they have your money you are an inconvenience, front desk is useless Gary in appliances is amazing. Usually when I take my older mother in law to anything technical, the sales people tend to ignore her and just talk to me. Gary was the total opposite, he made sure she was included and went out of his way to make sure she was happy.

Ancaster Lowes is my favourite home improvement store. I just had an install done and the contractors (Eco-Clean, St. Catharines) were absolute professionals and did a wonderful job. The staff at Lowes were impeccable with proper information, patience and help with our project, timely updates from the sales, installation and delivery teams. It all went very smoothly and I highly recommend Ancaster Lowes and Eco-Clean.

To be honest I am disappointed . In this trying times with covid they do not try to be helpful. I could not successfully order curbside and I find they don't have some of the simple construction oriented materials like anchor bolts. I know there are some good people working there however I do find it hard to find people who have knowledge in the departments where I shop. I don't find shopping there a favorite of mine.

Been waiting since April for a refund. The product was never pickup and was ordered on line. The store send the request for a refund up the line. I was told to call the 1800 number. They never answer there calls. They to a claim using there email system. I received a claim number but still nothing has happened. It is Oct and still waiting for refund. They just don't care about customers its all about money

This Lowe's location is hiring right now. There is lots of staff ready to help you and are polite and courteous. The store is very exemplary of its cleanliness especially for the industry and products that they sell. They are definitely following covid guidelines and there's a lot of good deals on right now. They go beyond everything in the kitchen sink at this Lowe's. I highly recommend this place.

She went above and beyond to help us find the things we needed. We had a problem with two of the palms that we bought and she took them backed and helped us to find replacements for them. I picked up an online order. They had me sign a sheet but would not issue a receipt. Then on the way out the cashier asked if I had a receipt and told me not to leave but I told her to call customer service because I paid and then I walked out. Bizarre store with inconsistent customer service. Generally more expensive than Home Depot but sometimes cheaper so I will continue grabbing deals here.

Great place! One of the employees helped me out with choosing lightbulbs for a bedroom lamp. The employees know their stuff! They educated me on what to look for and what to avoid. Did you know that compact fluorescent bulbs contain small amounts of mercury? I had no idea, and I’m glad I know now. I don't want that in my house, haha. The product works well! Don’t bother with the pro services we paid $80 to get a quote for a railing took them close to a month to get us the quote. I called someone else got a quote the next day and work completed within a week and what we wanted. The guy who came to quote for a glass railing didn’t have the skills to do it the way we wanted and was recommending aluminum only. Save your $80. Rip off

Went to pick up a couple of pegboards for my garage, It showed online they had some in-stock but couldn't find any. Asked 3 different associates - two of them sent me in different (wrong each time) aisles whereas third one paged some other guy and told me to wait, I waited for a while at the same spot but nobody showed up. Eventually decided to move on & drove to Home Depot.

Going in to find a specific but extremely common copper pipe connector: could not find anyone working in the plumbing area, went to customer service who repeatedly paged someone. Finally called a manager who made jokes about being a SMALL STORE and not having everything a plumber might need. I was less than impressed. Next time I'll save the hassle and go to Home Depot.

Parking lot is awesome .. Store is neat and tidy well laid out .. Tons of staff asking if they can help ... then when you actually need it .. None to be found, utilized the call for help BUTTON, waited at the station for 10 full minutes and nothing!! A bit frustrating Exit cashier was very helpful .... Mike the store manager is one of the greatest people I have ever dealt with. I had clients that need a tub install next day. My local Lowe's had nothing in stock. Don't waste your time putting in a curb-side pick up order via their online site. The wait time is well over a week. I checked my item and their was only 4 left at the Ancaster location and it went on sale. The likelihood of my item being in stock was very low. I cancelled my order after waiting on hold for approximately an hour and twenty minutes.

You’d think during these times Lowe’s would want to put out as many curbside orders as possible. Apparently not. Sat in the parking lot with only two other customers for 20 mins. Not one order brought out in that time. Called the store and was told it would be a 4-5 hour wait....for three wax toilet seals. What a joke. I won’t be coming back here.

I have never been a big fan of if Lowe's but I dropped by yesterday and found it to be really positive. I was checking out snowblowers and a staff member was extremely knowledgeable and took time to actually show me some things about the product. This was great. Too many stores have cut staff so much that you might do as well buying line.

The store is very neat and tidy. This location is always quiet. I think at times, there is more staff in the store than customers. It’s a well stocked store. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. I just find it odd that it’s always quiet with very few customers. Perhaps this should be an outlet location to draw in more customers?

Bought a fridge in a rush...the old one quit on a Sunday. They had what I wanted in stock and I received it in Tuesday. Bit of a shipping issue, which a manager, Eric resolved quickly. Good variety of products much like home depot, purchased a window bracket for a window A/C unit, got the product home for installation and hardware inside the package was open and used . Return department should take a peek in a box when products returned. Nice garden center, left with some nice flowers for the garden.

I like this store because it is laid out well, isles are clearly labelled. Parking is easy, the staff are always ready to answer your questions, and you can usually find someone to help you rather quickly. Cash and customer service desk have all been pleasant towards me, even when I had multiple item orders or returns.

Excellent store in Ancaster with enough space to walk with enough distance, the sales representatives are the most valuable, everyone is kind and very helpful. A suggestion for a nice and spacious store is to add more station of hand sanitizer around because you just find the sanitizer at the entrance and at the exit.

Ordered my items and chose a pickup time. They emailed me it was available. Arrived, called in and waited 35 minutes. They couldn't find my order and had to shop in the store again. Lowe's doesn't have curbside pickup nailed after over a year. Last time I go there. Do yourself a favour and purchase from another store.

ANCASTER Lowe's... LIGHTS OUT.... GREAT SERVICE.... GREAT PRICES.... Very knowledgeable. Good selection. We just bought all new appliances .. NO TAX. FREE DELIVERY. NEXT DAY HAULING AWAY OLD 1990's appliances.... Oh wait...and Air Miles. I saved over 2k on sales, sales taxes and delivery and disposal costs. Amazing!!

Clean store with accurate inventory control. Employees are somewhat helpful if not that knowledgeable. It is better run than other Rona locations and they are pretty organized. Like most retail stores you are better of acquiring product knowledge outside of the store as opposed to inside.

Good deals sometimes. You really have to work hard at getting good deals from Lowe's. Check then check then check. Corporate Lowe's play interesting games in pricing and flyers. Make sure you are actually getting good value for your money. You can but be alert.
