Absolutely highly recommend Rawhide to anyone looking for a high quality couch!! Anyone looking to buy a couch should at least stop in to see Rawhide - the best analogy I can come up with: if the other couch stores like Pottery Barn, West Elm, EQ3, etc. are Hershey's chocolate bars, Rawhide is the Swiss chocolatier. I got my couch from Rawhide a couple months ago and I can honestly say it's been even better than I imagined. My experience: I went to Rawhide on the recommendation of my parents, who bought two couches last year and have been extremely happy with them. I had a different idea of what I wanted and had found what I thought was the perfect couch at another store, but went to Rawhide to humor my parents. The minute I walked in and met Scott, I could tell this place was the real deal. Sure, those other places sell nice couches, but if you want one customized exactly to your tastes - one that is exceptionally high quality down to the tiniest detail - this is the place you go. Scott was fantastic - he was extremely knowledgeable about what separates high quality couches from the rest . There is so much detail that I would never think of. What I also appreciate is he didn't try to sell me something I didn't want or would regret buying. I genuinely believe his main goal was to make sure I was so pleased with what I bought that I would never buy a couch anywhere else. I never got the sense that I was seen as just another sale or commission. I customized my couch completely and honestly did not know what to expect. I even swapped the base couch design at the last minute (to the Manhattan). There was no picture or model that was representative of what I bought, so it was a bit of a gamble. I ordered it mid-July and got it in September, so there was some time to wonder whether I would have been better off going with one of the other couches I liked somewhere else. But then it came. I can't even imagine going with one of the other couches. It turned out even better than my most optimistic expectations. I can tell the construction of the couch and material used is of the highest caliber. I've had numerous friends sleep on the air mattress and comment on how surprised they were that it was so comfortable. The wait was so, so, so worth it. I absolutely love this couch and will 100% be buying all my future couches from Rawhide and Scott! I waited a couple months to write this review so I could comment on how practical it is (in addition to looking great). It's so comfortable that I fall often fall asleep on it and just spend the night there. It can be converted into a very comfortable bed in under a minute. After two months of experience with the quality of this couch, I can tell it's going to age very well. FYI: I got the Manhattan, color Luxe Smoke, with 8' arms and 27' cushions.

Putting your first home together, while exciting, can also be quite intimidating. I spent a long time looking for a sofa online but couldn't find one that was the right colour, fabric and style I had imagined. My parents suggested I go to Rawhide for my sofa, as we have had most of our sofas at home for over 15 years made by Rawhide that still look amazing. The showroom is beautifully arranged. Anthony at Rawhide helped me understand the importance and long term savings of purchasing a quality, locally made sofa. The best part about this was that I was able design a sofa to the exacts specs I needed and was a perfect fit to my personal space! I had no idea I would be able to change the seating depth, width of the armrest, as well as cushion comfort and sizing. Best of all, none of those customizations came with any extra charges! After figuring out the sofa came the really challenging part.....the rest of the living room pieces, my entire bedroom and second bedroom/office. At this point I was introduced to the store's senior designer, Scott who explained he would visit my home for a reasonable fee. This seemed like a great idea especially when he told me that any design services i used would be rebated against my over all purchases. Scott was able to help me pick colour themes for each room and pick pieces of furniture that matched the aesthetic I was going for using his extensive knowledge in design and style history. I was incredibly glad to have had Scott's assistance in this process. I was worried that, on my own, I would have picked terribly mismatched furniture and not end up loving my own place. Scott even took me to some of his supplier's showrooms, not open to the public, in order to let me see more furniture than what was on the floor at Rawhide. I ended up furnishing my entire apartment through Scott including my bedroom set, bedding, coffee table, accent chairs, and dinning room. Having Scott's eye for design and aid helped inspire me to make confident decisions to bring my overall vision to life. The finishing touch was Scott even went as far as to have a local artist paint a mural on this pesky spine wall I couldn't decide what to do with. Funnily enough, Its now the piece that ties together my living and dining space beautifully and is totally unique to my home only! The entire experience of setting up my first home was made fun and stress free by Rawhide. They helped me from beginning to finish being conscious of my budget the entire time. I'm in love with my custom made furniture and how all the furniture fits together so perfectly. Check them out if you're looking for a few amazing pieces or an entire set up/redecoration!

Very unhappy with the customer service experience from Rawhide. We purchased an $8,000 couch from them 10 years ago. Was a beautiful couch but at the time, was definitely more expensive than some of the other couches we were looking at. Part of what "sold us" on buying from them was that the sales person told us that the frame and "re-stuffing" the cushions was available for the lifetime that we owned the couch. He told us that if the material itself, or the stitching needed to be replaced, then that would be at our cost. When my wife called them initially to ask about the free re-stuffing, the person who answered the phone said "Oh - you must have bought the couch 14-15 years ago (implying that back then there was free re-stuffing available, but not at the time we bought). My wife looked at our receipt and told him we bought the couch 10 years ago. She was then transferred to a different person, who simply told her that it wasn't covered under their warranty, which was only good for 5 years. I called back shortly afterwards and got the same person (who said in the conversation that they were one of the owners). We have the original sales person's business card stapled to our receipt, and the sales person's title was listed as "Founder". The person I spoke to again re-iterated that the cushion re-stuffing is only available for 5 years from the purchase date. I told the person on the phone that this specifically contradicted what was told to us at the time of purchase. Th person on the phone argued that I likely was just "mis-remembering" what was told to us 10 years ago. I told him that we recalled this very specifically, as this was a huge purchase for us at the time and the cushion re-stuffing being available was a big part of why we ultimately decided to buy a more expensive couch from Rawhide, rather than buying elsewhere. The person on the phone just kept saying that we needed to read our warranty card for the couch, which specifically states that the cushions are only warrantied for 5 years. I find it ridiculous that they aren't willing to stand behind what their sales people say, and expect the customer to be responsible to read a warranty card to verify at the time of purchase if what they've been told from a sales person is different than what the store will actually cover. They weren't prepared to do anything for us (other than re-stuff the cushions at full price) and by the end of the call were very snarky in saying "we can't help if some customers like you don't bother to read your warranty cards". Would never purchase from these people again.

I bought my modular cloud couch in 2021…. I wanted to provide a thorough review. I searched everywhere for the perfect cloud, went to many stores, sat on many couches…. And then I found Raw Home Furnishings.. Max was amazing from the start.. set up an appointment at the Toronto location, the minute I sat on the couch in the showroom I knew immediately that there was a huge difference in quality, I decided right then that this was it! Max explained that my new couch would be built for me from quality materials.. I chose half vegan down and half down, went through colours and materials..after a brief waiting period, My couch was then delivered and set up.. by professionals.. the couch is extremely heavy so I recommend using their delivery service. All pieces were packed with care, and heavy duty protective materials. I am so in love with this couch. It is so comfy, after almost 2 years, it is exactly as it was when I first got it, It is solid, comfortable, cozy, huge!! I have had zero issues with quality! No sagging, no prickly feathers, the material is in great shape, it still looks brand new. It is evident that I will enjoy this couch for many years! Made in Canada! I can’t recommend this business enough. You don’t have to get a modular cloud, they have many options to choose from.. no matter what you decide.. I guarantee you will not be disappointed! Most couches start to show sings of wear, and or start falling apart after a year or so, but not mine. . So thankful

I love modern furniture. I was reluctant to visit Rawhide at first because my impression of Rawhide was ‘old school’, ‘been around for long time’, ‘probably same style over and over’ even though I never visited. When I stepped into the store, my impression didn’t change. It is possible I was overwhelmed by the fancy Art Shoppe showroom that I just visited. The turning point was the factory tour that Scott took us to (at the back of the store). “Don’t judge a book by its cover” is the perfect description of the situation. I was amazed and finally understood what we would consider high quality furniture. With the factory in midtown Toronto, I realize I can also customize the sofas to anything I want and they can look nothing like any furniture on display. Scott and Max visited my home, took all the measurements, and short listed the color and style selections with us. They also considered our heights and gave a suggestion on all the dimensions of the sofas & recliners. We have a house built in 1948 so the passageway and doorway are narrower than modern homes. They asked the installer to visit prior to the making just to make sure the final dimensions and selections would pass through the narrow passageway. It took us three store visits to finally place the order and we were never pressured or rushed into a sale. They were always patience with our naïve questions. We highly recommend a visit to the store if you are looking for a sofa.

The day I walked into this store was the best day. I was furnishing a house and was frustrated with the places I had previously been too. Then I found RAW. Anthony was the first person I spoke to and he was an absolute delight. He essentially told me that they could make whatever I wanted and showed me options. I was excited because what I saw was great quality, reasonable prices and the flexibility to make a sofa that would fit perfectly in my living room. Anthony introduced me to Scott whose design skills are unmatched. Scott assisted with choosing fabric, determining ideal size, etc. Scott's input was invaluable. The other amazing thing about RAW is that for a small fee (which was ultimately credited back to me through other purchases I made), Scott and I spent a day at the International Design Centre where I looked at rugs, linens, furniture and decor. Scott even came to my home and offered suggestions which I have subsequently incorporated into the design of my home. Ultimately, I purchased several items from RAW. I am thrilled with all of them! Everyone at RAW is awesome to deal with. They truly care about their customer's satisfaction. A little shout out to the delivery guys - they are prompt, professional and take extra care when moving items in your home! I am forever grateful for the day that I happened to pop into this store. I HIGHLY recommend RAW. If I could give 10 stars I would!

An amazing place of wonderful furniture, great style, excellent craftsmanship, high quality leather and fabrics, beautiful accent pieces, beds, stylish book cases and above and beyond customer service levels and reasonable pricing. I am a repeat customer. I picked up two custom made leather sofa’s at least 9 years ago and they are in great condition after being much lived in. Coming back to pick up a few more pieces felt natural and was pleasantly surprised to see the evolution of Rawhide to Raw Home Furnishings design centre. Found beautiful nesting tables and beautiful glass case in addition to their beautiful chairs, sofa’s and stunning sectionals. Max and Scott were excellent to consult with on my furniture needs to transition into a new home. There was such an ease and flow in their styles that I truly appreciated and made it a treat to shop there. They are here for the customer, to understand their needs and to help solution the best outcome that increases one’s quality of life. A decade later and they are still customizing the sofa’s to meet the customer needs. Truly impressive. Thank you Max and Scott for making everything so easy and seamless. TLDR: IF YOU’RE LOOKING TO BUY A CLOUD SOFA, BUY IT HERE. I absolutely LOVE this sofa. When I’m not at home, I catch myself thinking about my sofa. I talk about how much I love this sofa almost every day. This review is a love letter to my sofa. It’s my favourite thing in my house. Background: my boyfriend was dead set on getting a white cloud sofa for our new place, and I swear we put our butts on every cloud sofa from every store in the greater Toronto area before deciding which one to buy. I’m SO glad we found this business. The comfort, quality, and value are unmatched. Max was also amazing and really helped us make our decisions about fabric and fill. The vegan down is the perfect balance of cushy and plush without being over-the-top squishy, and it’s virtually maintenance-free (unlike actual down). There were so many fabric options, and we picked a stain-resistant micro-suede. The result is a couch that feels very luxurious, which was exactly what we wanted (the great thing is you can easily make this much more practical with darker, “tougher” fabrics if you have kids and pets). Walking into our living room and sinking into that couch after a long day at work is so lovely and relaxing. These are the best naps I’ve ever had. Also, let me say these pictures don’t do it justice - it looks more luxurious and welcoming and plush in person.

Delivery - Your two delivery people were excellent - in the time slot, friendly, helpful, and all round great people. One of the two people had already delivered a chesterfield and love seat to our house some 8 years earlier and he remembered -- it is really nice to find a company that continues to attract and keep long term employees - Both of the delivery people were more than excellent. Product - Well, - this new chesterfield replaced the RAWHIDE-Boca- in TD green colour, that is over 20 years old ( it continues its life in the basement - and is still in fine condition.) The new chesterfield with the much appreciated recliner feature, is excellent - good workmanship, very good leather ( even with an active terrier dog), and the recline feature is just what we needed as my wife and I age gracefully. Thanks Max for the time you gave us in selecting the leather - colour is perfect, quality can't be beat, operation and size is exactly as promised. Please thank your production and delivery teams. My wife and I were in the market for a new sofa to replace a microfibre sectional that we had for 15years. We really wanted to get a leather sofa this time around, and in the process of researching I came across Rawhide furniture. I recently purchased a cloud modular set from Rawhide Furnishings. Throughout the process I was really impressed with Max’s expertise on the couch, answering all my important questions. It didn’t stop there though, Max even gave me a factory tour on-site showing all the couches features that he had discussed before. Unlike other furniture stores, I felt Rawhide was transparent and didn’t rely on sales “buzzwords” that other stores train their staff to use with every client. Max took the approach of actually listening and building an option that was right for our home. We had a long narrow family room that is not setup for how the industry typically builds sectionals (i.e. Short and wide). But Rawhide was able to build our couches to custom fit the space. I would recommend them to my friends and family and also plan on purchasing from Rawhide when we update our living room.

We needed a sofa that was smaller then the original show piece, no worries, they made it to measure. My partner and I bought a couch from Max at Rawhide. I thought I knew approximately what I wanted, but I was all over the place. Both Scott and Max took great pride in giving a tour of the factory explaining all the steps that ensured their product was one of quality.They both visited my home and made suggestions as to what style and colour would work best in my space. Their knowledge and expertise is both extensive and impressive.Both Scott and Max were always available to answer questions and there was no pressure to purchase. My 2 new leather sofas and fabric sectional arrived recently and are stunning! A special mention is also due to the delivery team who took great care to deliver everything perfectly.

I purchased a couch, loveseat and ottoman from Rawhide International in 2001. All three pieces have endured four children (now young adults) as well a many friends and family. All three pieces look as good today as they did when I purchased them. I am so impressed with the quality of the furniture that I just purchased another couch, two chairs and a ottoman for our retirement home. The staff (Scott and Max) were very knowledgable and friendly to work with. The frames are still made in their factory (all Canadian Made!!) and the leather seems to be of the same quality as I purchased back in 2001 (yes, I know it is under new ownership). Once our 'old couch' saw its last repair both my wife and I decided to invest in a quality piece of furniture. I'm that guy that researches for months before I part with my money. In the end it was the quality of leather, construction with the attention to detail and the genuineness of the sales staff that influenced my decision. I liked that I had a say in every detail of the couches that I purchased. Both Anthony and his son Max know their stuff as I found very them informative without any hint of pressure tactic. While these pieces of furniture aren't 'cheap' I had no qualms spending money on what I consider to be a couch that my kids will one day use. I wouldn't own any other piece of furniture.

I was referred to Rawhide International from a co-worker who told me I had go see them. She was not wrong. Scott took me for a tour of the factory floor and explained all of the different grades of leather and the quality that goes into each custom made piece at Rawhide. Scott imparted his great knowledge on to me that I then used to review all of the other sofas I had previously seen. The quality does not compare! I called Scott back 2 hours later and made the purchase. The delivery team came and installed the sofa where I wanted it with very courteous service. I ended up coming here because my parents had bought a floor model over two decades ago and it still looks and feels great. My fiance and I bought both a contemporary piece (similar to the cloud couch from restoration hardware, but Scott was saying how they use better materials), and a more classic chesterfield. Scott and Max know their stuff, the tour is nice to see high quality craftsmanship. The price is certainly higher than at a leon's or bricks, but the furniture feels nicer (and should hopefully last if my parents' couches are any indicator)

My parents bought sofas in like 2000, and they are now starting rip, with dogs and cats on them, like it was used and abused. They are expensive but they are worth the price they will last longer then any chain furniture store. If we didn’t have cats and dogs and we actually took care of it, it probably would have lasted another 10 years. It’s worth it! More then Enough space to sit . 4 people can comfortably sit on one couch. No point going to the chains and then having to buy another couch in 2 years

My husband and I had a very positive, amazing experience at Rawhide! Max was so knowledgeable and informative about all the different leathers from Italy and the process of making the furniture in their factory out back! We purchased a sofa, loveseat and chair and are so pleased with it. The delivery guys were so careful while setting it up also. The nicest people to deal with. Our sofa is going on 25 years old and still looks like the day we bought it. I just had to replace the foam in the cushions this after 25 years! Their pricing was extremely fair and turnaround was within 24 hours. Amazing! I visited their new showroom and almost wished that my sofa would fall apart so I could treat myself to a new one. Their product range is amazing. It pays to buy quality from nice people.

Great experience. We purchased a leather couch, chair, tufted fabric couch and 2 ottomans. Excellent customer service, taking the time to show us how the couches are made (onsite!). We appreciate being able to support Made in Canada products. Sales representative (Scott) was very accommodating, offering suggestions and working closely with us. I would highly recommend Rawhide International.

This company is a class act from the top down. Quality product, attention to detail, no short cuts and CANADIAN MADE ON SITE! Cheap isn't good and good isn't cheap. That holds true when it comes to quality leather furniture. If you want cheap, go to Leons or The Brick and buy the crap they peddle from China. If you want something that lasts and you get bang for your buck, go to Rawhide!

They dud everything they said they were going to do. Scott was very helpful He understood what we needed better than we did. He said that the sofa would have certain features It came with all the features that Scott promised. The sofa was made and delivered on time and we are enjoying it now. Good company to deal with. No issues at all They did what they said they would do

Just received delivery of a WOW modular sectional in Bonanza leather, Elaine leather chair + ottoman. We are so pleased with it, great sales experience - especially thanks to Max, and delivery was early! We are replacing a RAWHIDE leather couch & sofa that is 17 years old just because we were ready for a change - still in great shape. Quality product for sure!

Scott at Rawhide was very helpful. The furniture is made in house from beginning to end with a fabulous warranty. Don't let the name fool you they have a wide variety of types and styles of furniture, not all leather. Great value and an opportunity to support a local Canadian business.

Nice and helpful staff. Beautiful sofas but it is quite expensive, however you can definitely tell the quality is there and everything is custom made. For context, a sofa's starting price is $4500+
