A pretty park quartered by an intersection in an intersting way. The extremely wide Linden Avenue was going to be the Crafers freeway in the 1950's but they only built about 700 metres and then stopped. Now the wide avenue is filled with mature Claret Ash trees that are stunning in autumn. So too the Crepe Myrtles and Maples in the surrounding properties. An old and majestic oak provides wonderful shade, and the haunting remains of an elaborate water feature provides many hiding spots for the geo-cachers who come a'calling. Recent council irrigation upgrades provide a green oasis all year round for the friendly Kookaburras and Magpies, who have the locals well-trained.
Not a single park rather four seperate corner parks at the intersection. The term gardens is a stretch as it is a non symetrical arrangement with some random plants but mainly just an expanse of turf that gets dried out in summer and no one uses. Could benefit from some canopy planting and native veg to really reduce the local heat island.
Nice little garden..
