Avoid this bunch of liars and cheats at all costs or expect to pay much more for your property with their extremely questionable, underhand and very deliberate techniques to inflate the price. After my daughter viewed the property she then called the office and made an offer, she was advised then that she would have to go through their mortgage service to verify she was in a position to make the offer and also an obvious attempt to get her to go with them for said mortgage... after approval she received a call from Taylor asking if she wanted to increase it... she was obviously surprised at this and asked for more information regarding higher offers for obvious reasons, she was advised by Taylor on several occasions that they were “legally” unable to advise her of the amounts of any other offers, and would give her no other information to go on. My daughter quite obvioulsy refused to increase her offer on this basis, as would any other sane and rational individual. Whey my daughter told me I called Taylor her and asked her to clarify the circumstances and to tell me what law she was referring to, was advised in short that she basically didn't have a clue. Spoke to the Manager Tom, the following day, who also had an insistence with the “legal” stance but when pressed stated that it was in fact a “GDPR” data protection “legal” issue, he then proceeded to state that repossessed houses have a data protection policy, to which I simply replied, this isn't a repossession though is it, so totally irrelevant. I explained to him that it was not a data protection issue at all, simply knowing the price of another offer is perfectly possible for them to reveal, I was not asking for the details of the other person making it. The way Reed Rains choose to handle sales like this is simply their own policy, the staff lie and hide behind the process using the words "legal" every step of the way when asked awkward questions by the buyers... legally this and legally that, which is all totally incorrect. When I asked for proof of the other offers in writing Tom refused to do so, which I might add is against TPO advice for ensuring transparency in the process. My daughter has withdrawn from the house purchase accordingly and I am reporting them to the TPO. Prospective sellers should also beware as this technique will obvioulsy deter many buyers and potentially prevent you from making the best possible sale.... You have been warned!

Myself and my Fiancée have recently been dealing with Reeds Rains West Derby regarding our mortgage. The outcome is quite unbelievable to be honest. We viewed a property at the beginning of November. Our broker Ashley was ridiculously fast in terms of gathering information and getting it all sorted. As busy as she is she always found time to push for anything that was required to get the deal done. 7 weeks after viewing the property, we received our keys. Any personal issues we had was dealt with instantly and we felt confident that we would get our dream home, even in times it didn’t look likely. Received a number of calls from Cordelia, who again was very eager and very supportive during the process. If we were unsure of anything or needed any info she would provide it. Brilliant. All the staff at Reeds Rains made this process an enjoyable one for us. You hear people saying “its stress, you’ll want to split up going through it”. Couldn’t have been further away from the truth. It was a calm, speedy, process and we felt that all the staff were willing the sale on as they knew how much it meant to us! The lads in the office, Lewis & Tom we’re always polite on the phones and always got our messages through to the neccessary member of staff. A special mention for the new member of the team, Thomas! I believe our sale was the first one he’d seen completed from start to finish. He was always helpful, very polite and made you feel he was genuinely interested in how the process was going. He booked us our viewing and he handed us our keys! Boss that! Anyway, I’d reccomend this company and this team of people, they we’re brilliant. In a nutshell, the staff are boss, the process was unbelievably fast, the fees are competetive and they offer extras such as insurance and reccomend solicitors, which made the process that bit easier, faster and professional. Thanks to all the staff, made the process for our new home a dream!

Yet again with estate agents in this current climate. They don't accept offers on properties. Seems they have open days for 20 or so people and don't consider genuine buyers. Just made an offer of asking price initially on a property and told have to have a viewing first but they won't allow me to view as booked up. Totally corrupt. The adds a day old on Rightmove. More like they can't be bothered to arrange someone at the property for more than a day. If these were selling on my behalf I'd be fuming. I advise people to go with strike when selling. Free to sell and you manage your own viewings and offers not like these office people who do little work for thousands in charges to the vendor. In follow up to my review and following the reply below. Indeed it seems I reviewed the wrong branch. My poor dealings were with the prescot branch with a girl called Helen. It is unfair for me to say West Derby branch deal in the same way but as far as prescot branch go I would avoid at all costs

Before approaching Reeds Rains to sell my property I had been through virtually all the " name " Estate Agents on Merseyside - all proved to be miserable failures! However, my fortunes moved upwards and skywards when I met RR's Cordelia Harrison - a tenacious woman whose opening sentence to me was " I will sell your property for you. " And she did - removing the obstacles placed in her path by unhelpful solicitors and nervous buyers. She - and her admirable colleagues - provided me with a 22 carat, professional and value-for-money service. When I had questions which required an answer, they were there....when I needed advice, they were there...when I needed reassurance, they were there. From a seller's perspective that's all that is wanted. Do yourself a favour and go with Reeds Rains!

We are using the West derby branch to sell our home. I can not say how helpful, friendly and supportive the team have been. Special thanks goes to Cordelia who we can not say enough positive things about, she has been truly amazing nothing is too much trouble. If you are planning on selling your home then we can not rate the team at West derby highly enough. We would recommend them to anyone and this comes from 2 people who have worked in the customer service industry for many years so we know what is expected from customers but these guys have gone above and beyond at every step. We recently bought a house from reeds rains West Derby it was a slightly more complicated procedure as this was a modern method of Auction, the process was extremely professionally handled by Elliot Murphy from Reeds Rains West Derby Liverpool. We’ve bought many houses and I can honestly say Elliot was the best estate agent we’ve ever had, he went over and above to help and assist with the purchase, we’d not purchased through the modern auction before he clarified and handled this for us, we needed quite a few viewings which he happily organised at times we wanted, we had no printer and Elliot happily helped with this, I would strongly recommend using this estate agent, Elliot thank you so much you’re a star!

I recently sold my home with the help of Mike at the West Derby branch and would highly recommend. Mike communicates really well and is always prompt to call and give you an update, even when there’s not much to say. He checks in often enough and it felt like he was on top of my sale from start to finish and that the sale was a priority to him at all times. He was quick to respond to emails, professional and courteous and with a few issues within our chain, he honestly kept me sane and talked me through everything in great detail and did everything within his control to keep things moving along. This is an excellent Estate Agent who work very hard on your behalf. We mainly dealt with Tom Ryan who communicated with us every step of the way; all requests were processed quickly and effiently - nothing was too much trouble. Tom's initial visit put my elderly mum at ease as she was moving house after 53 years of living in the same house. The marketing and photographs were superb. The house sold after the first viewing. Reeds Rains also recommended an excellent solicitor. The whole process from start to finish took 10 weeks! Thank you Tom and the teams at Reeds Rains.

Absolutely horrible vile people, I applied for a property and paid £160 holding deposit but allegedly failed the credit check even though I have no ccj's they said I did and refused to return my holding deposit stating it was for the cost of the credit checks and the time taken to do the credit checks, which is totally against holding deposit government guidelines and also a vile and horrible thing to do to a single patent in this climate with Christmas just around the corner. No morals and theives to boot, what a shamefull company.

Excellent service provided by the West derby branch. Mike and Amber were brilliant. Nothing too much trouble, kept us in the loop with regular updates regarding the sale of our property aswell as the purchase of our new property as they were the agents of the property we were buying. If we called to query anything Mike or Amber would come straight back to us an answer. Wasn’t allowed to view a property for sale because I didn’t want an appointment with their mortgage advisor despite having my own mortgage advisor and agreement in principle. As a vendor, I would stay well away from agents who won’t showcase your property Note, I accidentally posted this review on Liverpool city Reeds Rains which was a mistake. This ‘agent’ worked here at West Derby and thankfully Justin from the city branch is going to sort my viewing.

Good estate agents. Sold me my investment property. Laiken and Cordelia were diligent in following up. Shame I couldn't work with them on conveyancing and lettings management too (fees quoted were higher than others), but they were helpful in chasing the conveyancers to make sure it went through.
