This was my second worse experience. During Covid when they reopened, we had such a great time, great service. Afterwards... I would never set foot again at this Spa. Prior to my appointment this afternoon, I went for a facial. I had informed the therapist at the time that she was being rough and she replied by shaking my head , "that was rough". After the treatment  we went by the pool and kids were playing and screaming,  what a brillant time to relax! When I informed the reception, they told me that they couldn't do anything cause the parents were not around , having their treatment .. Nevertheless, I decided after a few months to give it a chance again. I called this morning to make an appointment for today and asked to arrive at 4.45pm. Prior to my arrival, after going on Google it said it close at 5pm and was worried I might have heard the wrong time. They advised they had loadshedding and the steamer wouldn't be working. They were aware of this prior to the time and did not bother calling to reschedule, great customer service! On arrival, I filled in the form and by 4.45 no one came to me so I walked to reception and requested to start the treatment. A new lady came to me and advised that my therapist which I wasn't introduced to, was preparing my treatment. - I asked surprised "which treatment ?" The therapist arrived and we discussed which treatment I should choose. After her explanation, she said:  we have loadshedding could you come tomorrow? I got upset and replied I had been driving a good 25 minutes to get here and wish to proceed. Once we got to the room, she didn't give me any privacy and started preparing. I then laid on the table with a sort of humid towel over me. She did not put a rolled towel under my legs like they usually do. She started the treatment at 5. The treatment is called "therapeutic treatment" which last 60 minutes and involves 10-20 minutes massage. She went quickly for each cream / cleanser.. to apply,  it was definitely not up to standard. The cloth she used to remove the liquid, smelled old and was rough to the skin. I explained before the treatment that my skin was sensitive. She could have used two but she didn't seem to care. If I could have imagine it, it would be as if children wipe their face. The massage who was supposed to last 20 minutes.. lasted 3-5 minutes, very boring indeed! Then she applied a mask that stinged. I was so frustrated that on a few occasions I just wanted to get up and leave!!! When we were done we went downstairs to pay. The same lady I had requested to start the treatment responded it cost R650, the full price! I was furious !!!! I informed her that we started at 5pm, and we finished by 5.30 therefore only lasted 30 minutes so how can she charge me the full price ? Then the therapist replied to her that it was shorten because the steamer wasn't working. I go every months for facials and I know the steamer doesn't last 30 minutes!!!!! I added that the facial should have a massage that last 10-20 minutes,when it only lasted 5 minutes. She called the manager "Bella" who apparently told her I should pay R590 ! Are you serious ?? For 30 minutes without providing the full service. I am disgusted! I was looking forward to this afternoon to relax and I needed a proper facial and this is what I get. As I said I will never return again !

Hi Bella, Plz let me know when (the date and time) my refund will be actioned by the financial mgr for the online purchase that couldn't be fulfilled, since the 16th may 2023. For the level of professionalism and arrogance, for incorrectly advertising a product, for not following up on my refund, for thinking that somehow I know whats going on without an update from you, for my whatsap msgs that are selectively responded to, and because revive is a big organization you have no idea when the finance department will action my refund as your departments are so huge (note: even banks can do this quicker), for speaking to the financial mgr but not asking when the refund will be action totals to minus 100 stars if possible but im restricted to 1. Ps. Telling me my refund will be done for weeks on end without an actual date and time is unacceptable. Provide a date a time. Simple.

Terrible experience. I had a microkeratin treatment and a balayage done. I booked a 08h00 appointment to allow for maximum time as I had a 12h00 lunch appointment. I was told that the 2 treatments will take 2-3 hours. Four hours later, I was still not done. I wanted a specific colour done on my hair for the balayage. I showed the hair stylist Calvin, a picture of the colour I wanted and asked to see a colour pallete before the colour goes on my hair. I asked twice but I was not shown the colour of the pallette. I'm now sitting with a situation after spending R4500+ with a colour on my hair that I do not want and didn't want. I left the salon in a hurry because I was so late for my very important lunch meeting. My daughter and I have been a loyal customer for the past 4 years. I'm terribly unhappy and will never use or recommend them again.

The dirtiest spa I’ve ever visited - Dirty smelly robes - Towls in the changing room were used and smelly - Uncomfortable over sized flip flops ( the beach ones ) not ideal for a Spa - Dirty pool - Dirty Jacuzzi, you could actually see brown stuff at the bottom and the water was yellow , yuck ! - No generators ! There was load shedding for 3 hours during our visit ( they should have checked the schedule before taking our booking ) therefore we couldn’t order food and certain drinks were not on offer . - Pool are was dark cause of load shedding - The massage was good , best experience ever in terms of the massage and the staff was very friendly ! Overall wouldn’t recommend this spa , very unhygienic .

A DATE at REVIVE I took my mother and gran for a “Valentines day” Date and enjoyed every moment. My mom and gran haD never been to this Spa before, so I knew they were were going to fall in love with all REVIVE has to offer. They loved their facials and candle massages and spoke so highly of the friendliness and love from the therapists treating them. We had a lekker day relaxing by the hot pool and the lunch was amazing. The spa hostesses serving our food was divine as well. I cant forget to mention the stylists who blow waved the ladies hair before we left and did a great cut for me . I Loved the head massage ….. GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY! Definitely Recommend this Spa - best Spa in JHB by far!

Such poor service! Our appointment was in the afternoon, we were told that we can come in early and utilize the pool. It was a very nice Sunday afternoon and chilling by the pool sounded like a great idea.. Got there an hour an a half before only to find that the pool was not working. Okay, cool.. we waited, nobody offered anything.. juice, water or tea. When we enquired about food, we were told that we should've ordered when we arrived because the kitchen was closed.. How were we supposed to have known? Otherwise, the spa treatment was great.. Maybe you should not take appointments on Sunday because it seemed as if it was a huge inconvenience for the ladies on the front

Will not go back to Revive Spa. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience. The therapist thought we were late for our booking and was very rude (We were not late - she had her times wrong). When she realised that she had made an error she changed her attitude but we had already started off on a bad note. We had booked a holistic package but the therapist had other clients coming in after us and cut some of our treatments short and some treatments we did not receive at all. The manager was nice enough to only make us pay for what we received, after we had told her what had happened. On a positive note, the spa inside is really nice and I enjoyed the pool facilities (it's heated).

I went there for a tattoo removal and came out with a burn scar …false advertisement is what they are best at !!!they have sold me products claiming it will restore my skin…Candice acts like she is will to help however all she ever does is recommended more expensive products but I am stuck with a burn scar forever …Do not ever go there!!!! So here is an update, someone from revive contacted me again asking about my encounter and promised to arrange for a meeting with her manager to see how they can assist me with removing the scar..I agreed however they asked i remove this review to which i said i would only do it after i meet with them and to date no one has contacted me!!

Friendly staff that go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The stylists are passionate and highly talented. Great specials available. Very reasonably priced especially for people with extra long hair. The salon is clean, beautifully designed and holds great energy. Good vibes, good coffee and quality of the products used truly make such a difference. I arrived with badly damaged bleached hair and left with beautifully coloured, soft and shiny hair. Thank you to Kelvin for the most gorgeous curls, for rescuing my hair and for my incredible shampoo. Lovely experience, very happy to have found this place. A well earned and well deserved review!

Massage therapist on her phone chatting on whatsapp during the session. Rubs my hands and head with no back massage and then for 20 minutes, during a full body massage, rubs my feet only no leg massage just feet. While she rubs my head, my head is being pushed down into the tiny room to breathe. I walk out of the rooms to find her talking stories with the front desk help and they all just look at me with no questions as to why I ended my massage. My details have been left with your staff on a call about an hour ago for you to get back to me. This is not body shaming, this is unacceptable service. I’ll wait on your call to discuss further.

Thumbs up for the EXCELLENT service I was given at REVIVE SPA from booking to checkout. My friends and I had the best day out, It felt like we were at a hotel for the day. We requested deep tissue massages/Sports massage which is definitely what we received!! The therapists’ are very well trained because this was by far the BEST MASSAGE I have had at any spa. Pressure and technique was Great and exactly what we wanted. We enjoyed spending the rest of the afternoon using your complimentary facilities – especially your heated pool and steam rooms. We had a great experience as always – you never disappoint. Keep up the excellent service

My daughters treated me to the "Turkish Delight package" on the 5th of November. The staff at the reception are quiet incompetent! They overcharged us with with a promise to refund on Monday. We had to keep calling and someone there is certainly not good with math because half of the amount owing was refunded 10 November. We were promised the Turkish tea which never came! The gowns stink and sandals are broken! We had to wait for staff to refill shampoo etc in the showers. My daughter notified them it was my birthday and that they should do something special. Nothing was done! Seriously pathetic for the price we paid!!!

My husband booked for a Hot Stone Massage, he knows that's what I like, we arrived before our time, filled the forms, directed to change into robes. Nobody is mentioning the fact before the treatment that we won't be getting Stone massage due to loadshedding. Communication is very vital in business, only after massaging after they tell us that they couldn't, meaningwhile I was lying there waiting for stone massage, until I heard "Thank you very much, we're done!!!" WHAT I'm very disappointed, didn't even ask me about whether I'm comfortable with the pressure, like for real...Useless, never see me there again!!!

My hair is my crowning glory and I’m quite fickle about the shade of blonde I get. At Revive I was blown away by the attention to detail and expert knowledge in ensuring my hair came out the best shade of blonde to suit my complexion and overall look- that impressed me that it was more then just a hair colour, it was recreating your visual identity. I have NEVER had my hair SO PERFECTLY highlighted that it looks completely natural and beautiful. SO IMPRESSED that my expectations were far exceeded and resulted in a hair colour experience that is top of my list.

Kelvin the hairdresser always welcomes you with a smile. He is a damn good professional hairdresser and my son n daughter love having their hair done by him as well. He is accommodating and you will leave the salon happy. He is experienced in both hair and makeup. The salon is modern, clean and the staff are great. I wish the other hairdressers at revive were as warm and welcoming as he is. A hello or a pleasant smile wont hurt even though im not your client. One day if Kelvin is not around Ill remember your pleasant face and will ask for you to do my hair.

Highly disappointed, being a therapist myself no no it's not on, the Therapist that worked on me was not friendly she was not warm and welcoming, worst massage and facial I've ever had, it felt like the Therapist was forced to do the treatments .Level of Professionalism wasn't there, there was too much movement, the walking in and out of the room its very distracting if you're trying to relax. The only hydro facility that we saw was the pool, no one had the courtesy to show us the other hydro treatments. Either then that the place is nice and clean.

Very clean, wonderful and competant staff, my therapist Wendy literally gave me the best swedish massage I have ever had.Ask for her by name and you will thank me :) This is still a luxary however it is good value. Really interesting building lots of spaces to sit and relax. Points to improve would be the noise levels, seems like the treatment rooms are built near the kitchen, very noisy and the cappuccinos are totally overpriced and of poor quality.We have alread booked our next treatment, and you guessed it, it will be with Wendy .

My expectations were too high! Came Friday on my birthday, no acknowledgment from the team. The massage was okay there was no complimentary tea and juice like they had mentioned to me when I did my booking. The only hydro facility was the pool nothing else load shedding is not properly planned for I sat in the dark thinking the generator was gonna kick in until I decided to go get dressed so i could leave. The wings and wedges were cold and salty, glad didn't take half day package it was gonna ruin my birthday even further.

Disappointed that i was not forewarned that the facilities (stream room, heated pool) would not be available during loadshedding. I would have moved my times around. Was also not given the complimentary drink that was offered as part of the special that I booked. The floor i was in was very noise with people speaking very loudly so my session was not tranquil or relaxing sadly. The positive was that the therapist I had was great and she provided me with a good massage.

Everything was top notch for my daughter’s birthday. The girls that were assisting with the event were so helpful and would keep asking how they can offer a hand. The only thing that the venue could work on is the damp smell of the water that has been put on the floor when people walk out of the pool. When we first got inside the venue it smelt really moist and the air condition wasn’t effective enough. Either than that all was superb . Great facilities

Excellent environment with very friendly staff. Had a great time yesterday, the Spa is so beautiful and clean. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to unwind and be pampered after this long year of 2020.. The treatments were amazing but I was unimpressed with the terrible communication from the team. We arrived at 07:30 and only started our treatments an hour and a bit later. The masseurs weren't informed that we had already arrived and had been waiting since 8 am. They also got our treatments wrong which I had to correct. I'd advise that they streamline their operations because as a first-time visitor, it was confusing and frustrating.

I was terrified to venture out and use a new hairdresser. I am so grateful I made the move to Megan who works at Revive at the end of last year. I have so much hair so highlights or a balayage usually takes FOREVER but I’ve never had a hairdresser motor through my hair like that. The end product was AMAZING. I left feeling like a new person. The entire spa and salon was beautiful. Definitely a customer for life ❤️

Went today Friday 18th August and did my hair with Dawie omg my hair came out amazing! I did full color instead of highlights, which was much safer on my hair, did a cut and blow dry!!! I went and had my hair and nails done at the Revive Hair Salon and Revive Wellness Spa and I was absolutely over the moon. From the moment I walked right until I stepped foot out the door I received 5 star treatment. I was extremely happy with my hair! If you ever looking for a 1 stop shop for all your Beauty needs Revive Wellness Spa is definitely the place. You can have a full day of pampering and a bite to eat!

Beautiful setup but the place needs maintenance. Locker doors were loose, toilet roll holders loose, toilet seats, shower heads either loose or not working. Perhaps I was just unlucky but I experienced all these in 1 visit. Was really looking forward to a WOW day for my Bday. My partner had a facial booked including extraction, apparently he had nothing to extract Won't go back unfortunately.

I do my hair and hair extentions with Megan and I have been wearing extentions for 20years. I can with all honesty say that Megan has provided me with exceptional service and extentions.Never before have I ever come accross a hairstylist that are able to protect and advise regarding fast and healthy growth of my hair and who leaves my hair completely undamaged when taking out my extentions.

Went to a pamper party for kids this morning. The ''heated'' hydro pool was not heated. I don't know if there was an issue with the heating mechanism of the pool, but the manager did not inform the host of the party that there was a problem, so we were left to assume. All I know is the pool was cold and it is winter! This was very unpleasant for the kids. Everything else was wonderful.

Absolute disappointment! We arrived and were left waiting for some time. It then got worse, our massages were not great at all. Why they make you fill out the form, l really don't know, they don't even read it! The foot massage that was suppose to be 30 minutes... but was only 5 mins. What was suppose to be a special treat was a complete and utter disappointment. Will not be back!

Revive.. I was shocked to find out how amazing the prices are for what I am getting. A normal pedi - R300. I'm sitting here in a vibrating chair, I got to choose the smell of the products that were used on me and the scrub and massage that came with it was amazing. No need to go anywhere else. And to top that off ... I just and the most relaxing wax of my life

What a lovely place! I've only been to the salon, but will certainly be booking for the spa as well. I had a bad experience with a hairdresser not so long ago and Kelvin worked wonders on my hair today, he listened to what I wanted, gave me suggestions and at the end my hair came out better that what I even imagined. Such a hidden gem, been a client for over 6 months and had amazing services. My hair had been in such a bad shape and with the head hairstylist being so amazing she bad it fixed in no time. I fimd the prices absolutely reasonable, good products. Efficiency with appointments can improve slightly either than that you're making the right decision.

Won't be returning. Change rooms so cramped with all people busy taking selfies you can't even get to your locker. Loud and definitely not relaxing. Facial was just a face massage, steamer wasn't working, towels and gowns are tatty and bad quality. Rooms are cold. Ordered a cappuccino and after waiting 30 minutes I just left without it.

Had a wonderful 90min Swedish Massage which smoothed out some terrible knots in my back, it was a buy 1 get 1 free promo, we then spent some time playing in the hydro pool. Once you enter the premises you enter a beautiful tranquil aromatic professional establishment. I'll definitely be back to try out other treatments.

My Mom went for their hair special as advertised on Facebook for R1500,00 at the end of the day she ended up paying R2800,00. The excuse was more products were used after we contacted them and confirmed my mom's hair length. Be warned, people. These "Professionals" are rip-offs.

A lovely spa day with my sisters. The inside has a beautiful setup. The stairs could get to one especially since I was still healing from an ankle strain but the facilities are lovely, enjoyed the lunch and relaxing in the pool after our treatments. Will definitely go back.

Lovely experience. Just a bit noisy and the therapist had to keep going out which leaves me with less time. Then there's the loadshedding and water shedding, so it's not such a filling experience.

Booked a massage for today, 26 December because the online booking system allowed it. Get here only to find the establishment closed after driving 45 minutes. Best believe I want my full refund.
