I'm based in cape town and booked a spa treatment for my partner at skin sense for our anniversary. Reception have zero phone etiquette and were not very helpful. But he enjoyed the overall experience, location & treatments which he rated 5 star, but the only downer for him was when reception asked him to pay when i had already done the payment days in advance and called in to check if they had received my email with proof of payment and asked them to state on his appointment that it had already been paid for to avoid them asking him , sigh even when he told them to check my email they didn't so he had to end up calling me to explain. Your spa is great but please work on reception the ladies need to communicate better with clients and each other. But thank you for treating him well.

I had a voucher for Skin Sense day spa, but since I do not like massages or nail treatments - actually anything which requires a lot of touching I used it to have my hair cut and styled.I made an appointment, but when I got to the salon there was no appointment. Despite that the ladies were were very gracious and accommodated me. I had my hair cut and dried and everybody assisted. What a lovely experience and the ladies are lovely. So now after the 5 stars I previously gave this company I have to downgrade. I have a voucher valid from March 2022 valid for 3 years. This spa has had an ownership change and are not planning to honor these vouchers which were paid for in hard cash. Unethical.

My family is in Johannesburg for vacation and the concierge at our B&B booked my husband and I a 75-minute hot-stone massage on our behalf. The spa is gorgeous and the service as equally divine. We were warmly welcomed and shown to the changing rooms where lockers, slippers and robes awaited us. Our massage therapists were Maureen and Ity. We FLOATED out of there. Incredible massages. If we didn’t have to fly to Kruger tomorrow, we would have booked several more treatments. As a price point, we couldn’t believe the quality of the experience cost us the equivalent of $98 US.

Avoid this spa at all costs and certainly do not buy any vouchers for your loved ones from Skinsense Spa. I had a voucher gifted to me and dated November 2021 and made an appointment less than a year later and was flippantly told that my voucher would not be accepted.This is unacceptable as in terms on the consumer protection act, a voucher cannot expire before three years from date of issue. If ownership changed hands, then the vouchers should have been considered in that sale of business and carried over.

Beautiful place with heated floors in the bathroom/change rooms, delicious food, amazing dark sauna room, experienced therapists. I had a great time, my only gripe is the reception failed to send reminders (I had booked a month in advance), so I almost missed my appointment. My bad, but a reminder would have been nice. Thankfully we arrived just on time (live just up the road) albeit a bit flustered and out if breath! Prices are what you would expect from a mid to end spa.

I’ve had many facials at Skin Sense and am extremely happy with how my skin looks and feels after. The lady who did my treatments was Fezile and she is a pro at facials, she explains to you the whole process throughout the facial as well as relaxes you into the experience. Really great service and value for money.

I was gifted a voucher in November 2021 but due to an ownership change I was advised these are no longer valid? According to the voucher they are valid for 3 years but despite this, they will not accept them. This is completely unethical, will never support this establishment.

Fantastic service and had a wonderful mother-daughter spoil for a birthday. Staff were friendly and the massage was relaxing. Not recommended for anyone with balance or mobility issues as there are a lot of narrow staircases and slippery tiled floors.

Last year (2019) I felt their service level was slipping but I had a pedicure with Elsie today and was once again impressed and will definitely return. Very relaxing pedicure lying on a spa bed looking at the trees outside

Skinsense Day Spa has helped me improve my skin drastically! In 2020 I've been able to say goodbye to dull, tired skin forever. I would highly recommend Charmaine - she is the most knowledgable therapist I've ever been to.

Went for a Swedish full body massage. Was a great experience, very peaceful and relaxing. I had Lizzy as my massage therapist and she was brilliant, she made me feel very comfortable. Will definitely be back!

Have been there a few times and was always happy but not sure if it's changed management or what but not sure I will go back again, overpriced and my nails were still wet when I left …

Had the most amazing hour of full swedish massage. Almost felt like i was far away, the setting was perfect...a haven right in the middle of busyness. Highly recommended!

Dr Melanie Sweidan consults and treats from these premises as a chiropractor and homeopath. Dr Sweidan is simply the best at what she does.
