In the last six months or so that service at the pharmacy has dropped to just above zero. You get a text telling you to call the pharmacy expect it to at least require you to keep hitting 3 five or more times before someone answers and tells you to please hold You should consider yourself lucky if this happens to you. I have in the past two months kept ringing them for over 19 minutes only to give up. Going into the store is fine for everything other than for pharmacy related items. My last trip in to pick up with one person in front of me was over ten minutes of waiting in line. Another time with three people ahead of me was over 15 minutes. They have to be understaffing this store because it used to be great which is why I moved my business here. You used to be able to pick up a script in 5 minutes or less. The hold announcement should just offer the link to Express Scripts forget hitting the number 3 to ring the pharmacy yet ANOTHER time. This store used to be much much better. As of now I have been on hold but 'answered' and told to wait for the last 25 minutes. this has been the norm for me for the last 6 plus months. Also to the bot that answers these emails yes I have emailed customer service.
Don't swipe your card here! Use cash only!!! Store manager Angela and her team participate in fraudulent practices with their registers. I was charged $60.15 for a $20.05 transaction. These charges are not pending, but approved, on my statement and they claim to have an issue with their system showing my transaction. They refused to issue any sort of refund and told me that I didn't understand pending transactions. That is not the case as it was clearly delineated on my statement as an approved transaction. It would have been nice to have been thanked for waiting 45 minutes or apologized to for the inconvenience. Instead I was told to come back 'in a few days' if I still saw the charges. Spoke with a 'loss specialist' who said this happens ALL THE TIME to their guests and just to 'wait it out' -- not sure about you but I certainly don't want to pay 3x for drugstore merchandise and then just wait and see if they'll refund me. Scammers. You're better off at CVS down the block.
I am here to sing the praises of Zuly and the pharmacists who were able to help me when it seemed like no one else would. Because of a Good RX coupon, I was interested in switching pharmacies since the cost at Rite Aid was much cheaper. To do so, CVS needed to send the script to Rite Aid but somehow lost the script, or were simply unable to be any help. In fact, they basically shrugged their shoulders, yelled at me, and hung up the phone. It was a horrible and stressful day. When I called Rite Aid to see if there was a solution, Zuly was not only helpful, but caring. I was crying and overwhelmed and I'll remember her compassion for a long time. She was able to contact CVS during her break and sort out the problem - she was one of the only people who helped me that day. When I was finally able to go puck up the script, she remembered me and I was able to thank her in person.
It’s an alright store/pharmacy. The pharmacy staff is kind enough and usually very helpful, albeit slow sometimes when patients have a million questions which is their right. But if the tech/pharmacist sees that a patient is taking too long, the other individual should assist to keep the line down. Store wise-Went today to get some Mucinex and the shelves were literally empty (and they were under lock and key which is the new norm). Went to their competitor, that starts with the letter W half a block away, and they had full shelves of many different Mucinex. Similar thing happened when I needed Sudafed. I understand when there is a shortage but if one store has the stock and the other doesn’t.. that’s not a good look. It’s a shame because this used to be a great Rite Aid. I will say that their staff is super nice and helpful.
They are usually in stock with most things, have a quick checkout, and the prices are usually cheaper than other pharmacy and vitamin stores. Usually they have bogo on vitamins which really helps. I love the vitD gummies and the coq10 gummies. They also do easy returns if you are unsatisfied, the one product seemed quite foul and made me ill for two days. One of the multivita gummies I decided to try smelled like fish oil, it was supposed to be a general raspberry flavor... Luckily they returned them. Staff is usually very nice. I love that they're open 24-7... I generally go here a few times a month. It's always very clean and well organized. The only thing they seem to not keep in stock are some of the drink items. They only have a small area for those. I wish they kept more of the Mean Bean Muscle Monster.
Yesterday I went into 783 Manhattan Ave and was falsely accused of stealing hair dye when I left the store. Loss prevention ran me down outside of the store and aggressively asked me to open my bag. He was wrong I didn’t take anything as i let him check my personal shopper. He didn’t apologize, or admit he was wrong for accusing me of stealing. The store manger did nothing to try and resolve the situation. This is not right i been living in this neighborhood for over 5 years and I visit this rite aid frequently. I am deeply disappointed with the way this whole situation was handled. Not to mention i called Corporate yesterday and I haven’t received a call back from the district manger.
Horrible staff, incompetent, rude, completely negligent. Tried to get them to transfer a prescription to another pharmacy at 4pm, called back eight separate times, had pharmacist at our pharmacy call four times. my wife is sick on the couch with a fever and they never picked up the phone for five hours. Shame on every single person working behind the pharmacy counter this location. The only downside of Twitter imploding is we used to actually be able to get customer service through that platform. this will undoubtedly go unanswered and unresolved.
This is what is wrong with online reviews. Natalie H gave this Rite Aid 1 star because she thought the pharmacy was open 24 hours. Has anyone EVER heard of any pharmacy being open for 24 hours? So this place gets the lowest rating possible because Natalie H is too stupid to read properly, and other people who look at the reviews get the wrong impression because the store is brought down by these idiots. This is a fine Rite Aid, friendly staff, clean store, has all the stuff you're looking for, pharmacy is helpful albeit sometimes slow
WORST PHARMACY IN GREENPOINT. NEVER HAVE PRESCRIPTIONS READY DESPITE “READY” TEXT MESSAGES. THEY CLOSE BEFORE THEIR SCHEDULED TIME, MANY TIMES IVE GONE RUNNING 5-10 MINUTES BEFORE CLOSING JUST TO SEE THE GATES. ONE OF THE PHARMACISTS HAS AN ATTITUDE PROBLEM WHEN SOMEONE HAS QUESTIONS. EVEN THE TECHS ARE RUDE. I UNDERSTAND THE STRESS OF WORKING AT A PHARMACY DURING A PANDEMIC BUT IM A HEALTH CARE WORKER AS WELL AND KO MATTER THE STRESS, OR THE SITUATION I AM ALWAYS PROFESSIONAL WITH MY PATIENTS. I AM NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN.
The best service ever. I love my pharmacist and she looks out for me. I never have mishaps or conflicts with drug interactions. If there's something they see that they don't like or take concern with they will call your doctor and double check just to be safe. She always stops what she's doing and pulled me aside and give me the In-N-Out of any new drug that they add to my profile and any problems that could arise and what to look out for. She's really gives truly personalized care.
ALL of the people working in the pharmacy have always provided me with excellent service. Furthermore, ALL of the pharmacy employees have been courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful in filling my prescriptions. I have also received excellent explanations, information, personal attention, and answers to my questions when I received my high strength flu shot and, this year, my pneumonia shot. I would not think of going to any other pharmacy for my prescription needs.
I was just in the Rite aid on Manhattan avenue Greenpoint Brooklyn.Long Lines & bad service. Not one self checkout machine that takes cash. The girl behind the counter in the pharmacy was even worse she had a terrible disgusting attitude. Its seems like it killed her to wait on me . she made me stand there a paying customer and wait till she fiddled around with stupid stuff !!!! Get experience decent people to work in that rite aid or you should close it !!!!!!
Friendly staff fast and knowledgeable technicians are kind and take there time with every customer new or old. Came in few minutes before break because another chain pharmacy was being difficult and she still took me knowing I will have to return after 2 but was still willing to take my prescription, that’s kindness and customer service ha i you rite aid for hiring great people makes me think twice about chain pharmacies. Will be my go to for now on!
I waited in line patiently behind another customer for five minutes who had all kinds of questions about her medication. When the questions showed no sign of ending, I went to another unoccupied employee to ask a yes/no question, and I needed no further assistance beyond that. Before hearing what I wanted, she yelled at me to get back in line and wait for the other customer. I don’t think it’s right that I should wait so that I don’t bother her.
This is a large store, well-run& well stocked, with a large variety of items and good weekly sales & discounts, The staff is exceptionally friendly & helpful (both in the pharmacy and store). There are less supply issues than many other outlets. In addition, this Rite Aid (unlike some other pharmarcies) provides, on request, walk-in FLUZONE high dose quadravalent flu vaccine, which is especially recommended for seniors.
I realize I'm an outlier with my high review but I have had nothing but excellent experiences at this Rite Aid, from patient and knowledgeable pharmacists to a good assortment of items including interesting seasonal shelves with great deals. I want those resin garden snails! There are some supply issues with some of the goods and the locking up of products is tiresome, but I think that is the age in which we live.
The Rite Aid I come to for my wife medicine's. The staff is nice and helpful most of the times. I write most of the times, only because at times you can tell, they don't want to be bothered. I see it as, it's not the best Rite Aid but I don't think it's the worst as well. No parking lot and parking out front at times can get difficult. This area has a lot of stores to shop at so it can get busy at times.
This Rite Aid does not deserve any stars. I went to pick up a prescription and the person behind the counter was not nice at all. I also placed an pick up in store order here and was never notified the order was ready. When I asked someone about the order they told me to call a number. Why would I call if I was at the store. No one wants to do anything at this store and I will make sure never to return.
The absolute worst pharmacy. They purposely avoid taking phone calls. Do not understand basic instructions. Continue to auto fill my prescriptions when I have specifically asked them to STOP and that I am at a new pharmacy - preventing me from picking up at new location. I asked for a rx transfer via the transfer form- they filled it instead. Do better.
I never leave reviews and I am taking time to give this a zero review, so, if you want my advice, go to any other pharmacy. Even if you live next door, treat yourself to an uber and go anywhere else. I left this Rite Aid crying and without my prescriptions, which I think was their goal. If that's your goal, then go ahead and use this Rite Aid.
You lost a 10 + year gold customer today because the checkout clerk asked me for proof of ID to buy my children's cough syrup, which has a 18yo age restriction and I'm 50 with a grey beard. Update: items marked for sale/discount on shelves do not match the prices at register. They do not update their sale prices so double check Everything.
I asked a cashier to unlock some razors I wanted to purchase and she told me I had to get in line and when it was time to pay she would unlock them for me. So I asked her why do I have to do so and she said because people steal them. What does that have to do with me? Will never shop here again.
It's my neighbor and very convenient pharmacy/ store . Pharmacy hours are convenient and the store is almost 24 hrs. We shop mostly at this location . Th only problem at the store is that they dropped the 20% rebate program and replaced it with Rewards program, which is phishing !
Horrible so unfriendly people especially today 2/8/2022 PHARMACY employees are so nasty n mean no more I'm done with this place district manager step up n check those employees attitudes or this place won’t have customers barley any now
Do not buy gift cards they do not give refund if u going to buy for holiday and thanks giving. Store suppose to put a sign up if they don't give refund. Stupid store. Do not buy gift card. Long prosses to give refund back.
Everything was actually 30% more expensive than the price listed. When I brought this up to the cashier, they just said on labels were accurate. How can a big chain like rite aid put wrong prices on everything?
If you are open 24 hours maybe have someone on the floor I came in and waited for 15 minutes for someone to show up I could have walked out with my stuff and they wouldn't have noticed. They suck.
Pharmacy service is poor. Lines are often long, no one answers the phone, and when you get to the counter, they'll tell you to come back in an hour. Go to your local independent pharmacy instead.
Associate Christine (I think was her name) was very helpful and took time to help me find a medicine that I wasn’t able to find. She even helped look online to see if we got the right one too!
Absolutely worst. Never fill the prescriptions in a timely manor, hardly answer the phone. Always a problem. The entire staff should be fired and a new staff should be hired….terrible!!!
UPDATE YOUR HOURS !!! If your automated phone system and Google says 7 am and someone walks there close to 8:30 and you’re not open. That’s a waste of their time! Update your hours! DUH!
Jared, Jason, and the whole Pharmacy and Rite Aid staff go out of their way to help you. They're great! I've been going their for years and they have never let me down. Thanks!
I was very hesitant to get my covid-19 vaccination , but the pharmacist was so kind and sweet and informative and made me feel so at ease I want to say a big thank you
The pharmacy has the worse service I have ever experienced. The staff is completely clueless and has never heard the word customer service. Really terrible service.
Over all its great. But when getting meds. Call ahead. They may not have your like the Lighter-Cain-(might not b spelt right) my wife needed for a throat issue.
Apparently this is no longer a 24 hour store. BOO HISS. That was the only thing differentiating it from the CVS and Walgreens on the same street.
1 star for the pharmacy, it's extremely slow. I spent two hours waiting for an Rx this evening. 3 stars for the actual store, it's average.
I do a lot of shopping here for household items. You can find a lot of items on sale here and I also use my Rite Aid card to get 20% off
Misleading information online - pharmacy is not 24 hours, the store is… just walked all the way from LIC to find this out… lame
I love this riteaid over the 45 other pharmacys in greenpoint. Always great deals. It also has the best clearance section.
This store is terrible store never has anything. The shelves are always empty. Looks something like after Black Friday lol
Absolutely horrendous service. They are rude, oblivious and deeply disrespectful. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs.
Terrible customer service at the pharmacy. They’ll completely ignore you for like 10 min even if there’s no line…
I like RA stores. I think they went down last couple years but seems like getting better again. Lets hope so.
The cashiers there are helpful. They seem to try their best even though there arent enough registers open
They have everything. it's a 1 stop shop. canned food, pet food. Medicines, household items. Great place.
Great pharmacy to go to all your questions and needs. They are efficient and put in the time to care.
I am very pleased they needed 5 minutes to get me tablets, cvs needed 24 hours to stay out of stock
Great Services, Found what I need in a timely matter, Manager was very helpful.
I got a bag of chips and later found them open and with sticky stuff inside
This Rite Aid needs more more items in stock. Need a bigger variety!
The man who unlocks the secured items is so helpful!!
Employees are great, friendly and helpful.
