This pharmacy is useless. They should loss their license. I’ve actually never NOT had a problem when I’ve gone in for my prescriptions. Today was the last straw. EVERY SINGLE TIME I GO IN THEY TELL ME I DON’T HAVE A PRESCRIPTION. Which is not true. I went in to pick up the antibiotics I watched my doctor call in yesterday and they claimed they didn’t have it again. More like they’re lazy and negligent. Magically they all of a sudden found my prescription in minutes after I got irritated. 3 weeks ago there was another prescription they claimed they didn’t have. I had to call my doctor to resend the script and needed prior authorization so I took care of that as well. I should have been all set. NOPE! They have been out of the drug for weeks which is not their fault. So I asked to have the script transferred to another pharmacy. The pharmacist came up and started speaking to the cashier, not me and told her she would not recognize my prescription. Apparently she thinks it’s her decision whether or not a script is valid. It’s not a controlled substance in any way, my doctor prescribed it and my health insurance passed it though a prior authorization. But she decided not to recognize/transfer it. She ‘s rude unprofessional. I couldn’t even understand what she was saying when I was trying to listen to her conversation about me with the cashier. She was using Caribbean slang and not making clear statements or explaining her decision. The cashier couldn’t explain it either. I’m going to report this pharmacy to the oversight bureau that covers pharmacies. They should not be able to continue serving people with such careless behavior dealing with people’s health.

I've used this pharmacy for years; however, no more will I do so. My PCP wrote a script for pain, but understandably, they wouldn't honor it because my PCP forgot it was Feb & started writing 1(for Jan)on the script before turning the 1 into a 2. My gentleman friend asked if the pharmacist could call the doc for an escript, as she was located in Manhattan. He was told it couldn't be done because the script was a controlled substance. I waited 4 days in pain before getting a new script (doc was out of the office). I went back to rite aid w/the script & was then told that they had to call my doc to verify the script. No answer was given when I asked why couldn't the call have been made 4 days prior. When they got around to call my doc, the office has already closed. I waited another day in pain for them to call me the following day saying that my doc verified the script, but my insurance won't pay for 2wks of medicine. When I said I would pay the balance, I was told that the LAW says that medicine can only be prescribed for 7 days. When I asked the pharmacist if she was aware of the law, she confirmed that she was. When I asked why then, didn't she explain it to my doc so that a new script could be sent, all I got was an apology. Of course, my doc's office is closed for the day, so I must wait in pain for one more day due to the INCOMPETENT PHARMACIST at this rite aid. I only wish I could give zero stars for this review. I now understand how people can lose their cool & go ballistic.

I have had the same experience that many of the other customers who've written reviews have had. It has been mostly shockingly horrible and extremely disrespectful service at the pharmacy counter. The store, as a whole, is under-staffed and many of the products are behind locked glass. Being behind locked glass is not an issue as long as staff is readily available to open it and courteous when they do. If items are locked up, there needs to be a system (such as a buzzer on the locked cabinet) that alerts staff that a customer needs their assistance letting them know exactly where the bell is being rung. The pharmacy, nasty, disrespectful, and unaware of what it means to be professional seems to be the norm. I came for my second shingles shot, and my insurance had changed to fee for service, direct billing to the State, and they had no idea how to deal with it. The clerk was so perplexed she simply said something to the effects that what they used prior doesn't work, and didn't go the extra foot, much less mile, to figure out the situation. I called my insurance company so they could explain how they should bill Medicade, and they even spoke to them very distastefully. Perhaps what I am referring to as distasteful is their norm, but it doesn't work when your job involves working with the public. Finally, the company's response to these reviews is generic and flat. You've been getting negative reviews for over 6 YEARS. WHEN WILL THERE BE A CHANGE???

I've never had an experience with a prescription that didn't involve some annoying last minute flag being raised, re: prior authorization flags or a medication suddenly not being available until the next day. You can't schedule effectively with a pharmacy that makes accessing life affirming treatment so difficult to obtain without red tape and obstacles. I, to this day, have to keep calling them about prescriptions that they have "on file" bc they never bothered to process them. I'm a diabetic, so prescriptions are a life or death matter. They had some VERY important CGM tech on backlog forever, and at first made it out to be an insurance issue. I said screw it, how much will it cost to pay out of pocket, then suddenly my insurance could've paid for it this whole time. They also had me going for almost a week without insulin bc someone dropped the ball on processing a prescription after I had my doctor send a new script in. That is DANGEROUS. Very upsetting. The proximity to the pharmacy is literally the only upside. EDIT: it happened AGAIN where I called about a prescription, was told that it couldn't go through bc of insurance issues, and after being pressed about it after I do all the work, the prescription magically goes through. It's an effort issue, it's a pharmacy issue. I was willing to cut them some space bc the American healthcare system is horrible, but these folks are objectively a bad pharmacy, patient beware!

There's a reason this place barely made 2.5 stars and from my experience it's mainly the Pharmacists in the back of the store. They do not pick up the phone and on the off occasion they do, they're quick to hang up or leave you on hold. Someone should be able to call and see if their prescription medication is ready or being worked on without the attitude or hassle. The people in the pharmacy are often rude and sporting a mean negative attitude and I feel if they hate their job that much, please just quit. They need new management in there. I recorded all the phone call attempts and the few one where I actually got through and will be reporting to the regional management how aweful they are with dealing with sick people asking SIMPLE questions about the medicine they need. You will not see the behavior over in park slope or certain parts of Manhattan. They happen to be closest to where I live so I made the mistake of putting them down. Don't do it...even if you have to commute, go someplace where the people respect their position and their clientele.

I walked into the Rite Aid to go to the fridge section to pick up some diet sodas and the security guard (I don't know why they hired this guy, looks like he couldn't stop an old lady. I mean the guy doesn't look like a 70 year old but looks like he would struggle with everyone) is following me, grilling all of my movements. Which I feel isn't right. And if I wanted to maneuver, the guy couldn't physically stop me. He can only call for backup, so him following me is pointless. I'm a pre-med student. I have several years of his Rite Aid salary in my bank account and his 2019 salary in Bitcoin and cashing out isn't an issue for me. I literally spend like $30 a day in food. If you really want to check me, just view me on a camera. I decided not to purchase and just leave. As I walked out of the store, he steps out of the store too, and like a dummy, he exits the store to eyeball me, leaving the store compromised by an actual bandit as I wasn't the only one in there.

  • Nandi Charles

Horrible, I went to the pharmacy to pick up medication that was called in by my doctor 4 days prior. After standing on line for 20 minutes the cashier seemed lost, 1 minute she doesn't see anything, another minute she saw it. Then she ask if I can wait another 20 to 30 minutes because it's not ready... How??? 4 days later. This is my 4th time experiencing this. Also, the pharmacist at this location is very rude. Two weeks ago I went to the dentist 1 hour away got back to Rite Aid and same issue. Am in pain and needed my medication. How is it I was able to drive an hour drive and it still not be ready. Lines are always ridiculously long, you can never find an employee whenever help is needed. Rite Aid please provide better training and hire more people who know what they are doing.

  • Tyree Mondesir

I came to the store just to buy a disposable shaver set and one of the female manager came up to me saying that I should wait in line just like everybody else in a nasty tone I'm like hold up wait a minute I stood there for a minute or an hour and she had the nerve to talk down to as if I was a kid, also she wouldn't disrespect other customers but yet she would dare to disrespect me that wasn't very nice at all and I've been going to Rite Aid for years and now I'll never go back on Bedford Avenue branch in crown heights again but I'll go to a different location on 7th Avenue branch and it'sin park slope not far from prospect heights where I'm at now period, plus it is so embarrassing to me bc that female worker or manager is absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful!!! SMDH

  • CHRIS T

Terrible. Both my mother and I have been trying to contact the pharmacy from 10 a.m to almost 530 p.m to no avail. After work I went in to collect my 72 year old mother's prescription, stood in line for over 20 minutes only to be told the prescription was not ready yet (even though they've had the prescription sent to them since Thursday, today is Tuesday.) I expressed to the representative that we've been calling all day and that I just wasted time coming here and standing in line, and her response to me was "apparently". I will discontinue shopping and using rite aid because this is unacceptable.

  • Andre Santiago

I called the store to ask a question about my Amazon packages, because I assumed it was in a locker but the picture showed it was left by the front door. A lady pick up the phone and when I asked her the question, she said "one sec" put the phone down, and totally forgot that I was on the phone waiting. I waited for 17mins before I just hung up. The whole 17mins I waited I could hear noises in the back ground, it didn't even sound like they were working. ‍♂️ I'm going to find a new location to send my Amazon packages, and I'm never spending my money here.

  • Lakesha Houser

Disgusting. Medicine is never ready on time, I’ve come home with other peoples medicine in my bag etc. My last draw was them telling me it’s too soon to pick up meds- which I can pay out of pocket for. When I informed the lead pharmacists of this opportunity he hangs up and responds by text allowing me to pay out of pocket instead of picking up the phone like a professional and apologizing for his disgusting behavior. He is extremely unprofessional and has yet to even acknowledge the patients providing him with employ, ent. He needs to be replaced asap!

  • Firesign331

I wish I could give zero stars this place is so awful. I try every so often to give this place another chance but I am done, I will never step foot into this god-awful store again. I have had nice interactions with staff in the past, but after today I can't even try anymore. I had the rudest, most obnoxious cashier ever. She did not want to do her job and acted as if asking her to was such a hardship. And when she finally did it was easy, not a problem at all. I filed a complaint with Rite Aid headquarters, but who knows if it will make a difference.

  • Amaiya Ferrance

My grandma that is blind and came there this afternoon and was told by a cashier your breaking my machine and making me lose money . I don’t think that’s acceptable especially for someone who can’t see. The gentleman was very disrespectful He’s so lucky the right person was not there to hear the rudeness. The words he used wear she don’t know what she was doing and she was messing up his machine and she don’t know her pin.One thing that the young gentleman won’t do is disrespect my grandmother.Bad business needs to go to corporate

  • cheeky doll

The pharmacy departmemt is putting ppl lives in danger. My don dentist attempted to call in my son Rx for antibiotics multiple times and the pharmacist voicemail was full every single time. I will be contacting the Rite Aide corporate office on Monday to make a complaint. I will also contact my lawyer this place is putting childrens lives in danger by being careless and not answering their phones. Do not go here. I will try to find a mom and pops pharmacy since most of these big establishment's cant handle the work anymore

  • Nico Meyer-Rogge

Worst pharmacy I have been to in Brooklyn. Every single item is locked away so you have to constantly ring the buzzers and wait a long time until somebody comes to help. Most annoyingly though the staff is completely clueless and rude and will not sell age restricted items even though I have carried my passport with me and checked Rite aids policy online beforehand. Unless you have an US passport you won't be able to buy any age restricted items here. But even if you do I recommend to stay away from this place!

  • Juliya Ziskina

I’ve literally never spent less than 40 minutes here to just pick up a prescription. It takes DAYS for the prescription to be ready, and when I show up to pick it up, they tell me it’s still not ready and I have to wait around the store for 30 minutes. This place is a disgrace and it’s an ordeal every time. They also literally never pick up the phone, so it’s impossible to call ahead. I’ve lost unnecessary HOURS of my life here. Can’t really go anywhere else because it’s the closest/only pharmacy near me.

  • john sullivan

The worst service ever the pharmacist were very rude no manners at all she was on her phone while im waiting give me the wrong meds these people are worst and dangerous pharmascist staff in Brooklyn especially the Haitian one wit the weave they need to fire every body back there and start fresh just to make sure this problem dont ever happen again other staff who witness costumer service like that will think its cool i really wish i could give a 0 star i tap 1 star to get my review in smfh

  • Stephan Wolfert

The worst. For over six years, any time I try to use their Pharmacy it’s the worst customer service experience in my 51 years of life. Awful awful customer service, they ignore me then scold me then make me wait then scold me for asking questions then mess up the order and make me wait more... and on & on. If you have any stress, anxiety or anger issues, for your health and welfare’s sake, avoid this place! It’ll take years off of your life. I’ll use a Rx an hour away to avoid them.

  • Anna B

Please fire and rehire your cashiers and hire people who actually want to be there! I came here this morning and the female cashier by the name of Angela WAS EXTREMELY RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!! Giving all customers nasty facial expressions, she didn’t greet anyone and when I got to the register and I asked about an item she ignored me. She was literally on the phone screaming and cursing about her personal business as well talking about previous customers that walked out!!!! RIDICULOUS!!!!

  • Grace Vi

If able, avoid this location for a Covid vaccine. Only one pharmacist is available who's filling prescriptions, authorizing register transactions, filling out forms, etc. I waited almost an hour to get my vaccine. What's the point of an appointment? Additionally, there were no signs directing people who are there for the vaccine. People who want to know which brand toothpaste to buy are on line with you. Had to remind the pharmacist I was waiting for the vaccine multiple times.

  • Sherease Torain

Customer service is horrible. I haven’t been at this location since March and I asked the store manager is there a reason why the hours change from 12 midnight to 9 PM. Her response was so nasty. Management is getting worse as the years pass. So sad. I blame HR, for the lack of training and development for all staff. Further, the manager on duty did this in front of her staff. It starts from the top. Poor customer support. If you don’t have to use this store, please don’t go.

  • Lisa Collymore

Went here a few times in the past and the customer service was absolutely horrific like employees following you around in the store literally treating you like a criminal as you shop not a good feeling however I took my chances coming back here today and it was more to my liking it was better than the last few times I found what I needed and left the store seems like the pharmacy is under new management which is Good the staff is better so we'll see about my next visit.

  • Trevor Oestricher

Horrible, if I could give them a zero I would. This place is what's wrong with many drug store chains in the African American communities. Shoddy service at best, and total horrendous at worst. I even called the Regional Manager at the home office, and still nothing gets done. The only alternative is to take your business else where. The bottom line is the only thing they care about, so why spend your hard earned dollars in a place that doesn't give a dame about you.

  • Vladimir Joseph

I'm not sure why the bad reviews I would say the staff is short as opposed to rude. I mean they are short staff and this is retail aside from the location of an idea what else more would you want? Show and tell. I have used the pharmacy in the past and I think it's fine just they're not going to take their time to go over instructions with unless maybe if you're a senior but the instructions are in the papers that are given with the medication. Overall I like it

  • Kimberly Lewis

This place have no respect for people’s lives. My mother had her doctor call in her medications a week ago. The pharmacy calls and said her medications are ready and upon arrival the customer representative couldn’t even find her medications in the system. These medications are for my mothers heart. If she dies, that’s blood on their hands. Trust and Believe I will be taking Rite Aid Pharmacy to court!! This place is nothing but a disgrace!!!!!!

  • Fleshparty

One of the most unprofessional unfriendly and dehumanizing places to pick up your meds in this city. if you go here prepare for long lines, to be ignored, to be on hold for 30 minutes and constantly told your meds aren't ready. they'll blame the doctors, they'll blame the lines they'll blame anyone other than poor management as if we're all stupid and never seen a poorly/understaffed department before. this place is a cruel joke

  • Anna Williams

I really like this store ,the worker up front greeted me as i walked in welcoming you to the store. I was getting my 2nd booster shot so I headed to the back to the pharmacy . Waiting time was under 15 mins and the pharmacist who give me the shot was by far the most caring pharmacist I met there so far and am there on a monthly basis ,am not sure if he is Arabic or Indian but really a nice man with a decent personality.

  • Bella Beau

When I walk into that pharmacy I get what I need and head straight to the back. There's a staff member (pharmaceutical assistant) named Rebecca. She is always pleasant! Greets regular customers by their first name. She whispers the answers to any questions you may have because she wants to keep your business confidential. I appreciate genuinely caring customer service!

  • Tee

This place needs to be renovated and it needs a whole new staff. I have lived in this neighborhood since 2007. The lines are always long, boxes piled up in the aisles yet there are about 5 or 6 staff members walking around not doing anything. Avoid this rite aid if you dont want to stand in line for 30 minutes or more. The service and store appearance is HORRIBLE.

  • zakia slade

I would like to give the Best.Customer Service award to Orane the manager who was working overnight on 6/29- 6/30 When me.and my.cousin came in at 2am looking for passport pictures. After a very long and troublesome night of Car troubles and more. He was the sun at the end of the storm just wanted to say Thank you Orane and the Management team at Rite Aid.

  • Ryan Heddins

Most slow, rude, and lazy employees. Refrigerated and frozen section are kept too warm. I stopped getting anything from the freezer especially, since I kept coming home and finding it was far thawed. My experience is usually early through late evenings, however. Perhaps the daytime employees are more professional. In this area, though, most likely not.

  • Farah S

This lady has the nastiest attitude. When you ring the bell so she can just use her key she gets upset. I need you all to do me a favor. When you come here please donate to this lady so she can get a new wig PLEASE and thank you. Her hair is always tore up you can’t miss her. She’s there every morning. She had to have gotten that wig from dollar tree

  • Tee Dee Elle

Ridiculously annoyed with pharmacy. Went in to pick up medication, only to be told it is NOT COVERED. Called my Insurance and they informed me it was denied for NO AUTHORIZATION. RITE AID PLEASE GET TRAINED INDIVIDUALS TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS. The young lady and the pharmacist all seem to be confused, while providing me wrong information.

  • Michael Braithwaite

Every time I get a prescription sent here it takes them hours upon hours to fill. Any other pharmacy has it filled within 1-2 hours of the Dr. sending it, but for some reason this Rite Aid never has it in under 4 hours. The pharma customer service people are so nice, but I won’t continue using this store and wouldn’t recommend it to others.

  • hasan oz

Second time here: the reviews are terrifying and I believe them, but my experience was the exact opposite. The pharmacy actually picks up the phone!!! (mine *never* does, another corporate chain that's much closer to my work) If they were any closer to me, I'd work with them any day over the CVS I go by Flatbush junction. ‍♂️ …

  • Lukas LaLiberte

Horrible staff. Worse management. They treat each customer as if they are an inconvenience. Never have I seen so many employees do so little and give such minimal effort. Five people behind the counter? Only two registers open. Make sure you set aside half an hour to get through the line. What a mess...

  • OdinQuincannon

This place sucks. Pharmacy is pretty good. But to me it’s not the attitude of the staff, it’s the place and the way Rite Aid wants it run. I might’ve gotten bad attitude twice in the 5 or so years I’ve been using this place but have witnessed many many customers walk in the door with bad attitudes.

  • Juan Cruz Ferre

Horrible service. You’re lucky if they write down the prescription when your doctor calls the first time. More often, you’ll get there and realize the order is not ready, then your doctors needs to call again, and hopefully they get it this time. This has happened to me so many times I lost count

  • Richard Gershberg

This place is the pits. Shelves are empty, everything except candy is under lock and key and requires an associate to unlock the case for you and they give you attitude after waiting like YOU are inconveniencing THEM for providing you access to what you need locked up in their cases.

  • Dudley GT

Slowest pharmacy ever man you can’t even call to find if any over the counter item you need is available because you’ll be on hold for more then half a freaking hour they aren’t so busy during the mid day so why can’t they check a simple item and respond to the caller

  • leif mcilwaine

Its crazy how much security they have for such understocked shelves. Maybe theft wouldn’t be such a problem here if it were easier to pay for stuff. They have one cashier working, 2 employees wandering around the store and 3 self check out machines that don’t work.

  • Jennifer Moncrieffe

Not one worker here cares about being helpful or accomadating. Most essentials are locked up now and a worker takes more than 5min to respond always. I only go here if I am desperate and I live on the same block. CVS needs to come buy this place asap.

  • M Kerner

Tried calling 6 times all extensions to learn if medication missing from my order was there. I’m not very mobile right now which is why I need medication so I can’t just walk over to check. No one picked up, endless loop from pharmacy. Unprofessional

  • S PL

Went in for an interview today back at the pharmacists section was instantly turned away. Not right and a total waste of time. If the position was already taken then why not inform me ahead of time so as not to make a $15 trip. Unbelievable.

  • Shani Nunez

The pharmacy area is the worst! The people there are rude with disgusting attitudes. If you don't like your job go back to school and get a better one! They need to do something about that seriously...their staff is completely unprofessional

  • John Casey

I feel that the employees that work in the pharmacy are doing the best I can, but the same cannot be said for the employees and the rest of the store. If you shop here, brace yourself for significantly substandard customer service.

  • Lauren Stearley

Bad selection, desperately needs a remodel, EVERYTHING on the shelves is locked up and there’s never an employee available to come get it out of the cabinet for you. Two stars for convenient location and pharmacy hours.

  • Debra Riley

Two females at the check out register have bad attitude. Not helpful. Don’t like to answer my questions about products. Not friendly. Bad representation for rite aid. If unhappy with their job should leave or be fired.

  • Steffon lewis

This is by far the worst pharmacy in Brooklyn, the staff is very rude and disrespectful and they will violate your privacy and any HIPPA law they threw my medication on the floor one time. Do not use this pharmacy

  • Evangelista Damian Rodriguez

Treatment from pharmacist is terrible especially latin women..with the nose ring as costumers with get the worst treatment ever and no one to complain!! To just discourage you to come to this rite aid chain....

  • jason AK

I JUST CAME TO RITE AID HERE. THE EMPLOYEES HERE DON‘T RESPECT CUSTOMERS. BLACK MALE EMPLOYEES ARE VERY BAD AND HAVE A BAD ATTITUDES. I WILL NOT COME HERE IN THE FUTURE. I WILL NOT COME HERE TO BUY IT.

  • K L

The pharmacy is terrible. Even if theres no line youll be waiting an hour. Theyre putting pills into bottles and slapping a sticker on it, how is that difficult? Take my advise, go somewhere else.

  • Nessi Antuanov

I hate the lines here. Are you trying to save money? I often find myself wondering if to go in and buy something just because the lined here can get crazy. The store is good, just speed things up.

  • Julianna Jaffe

The only reason I’m giving 5 stars is because of a gentleman named Seri ( sounds like Jerry) Excellent customer service! Never had this experience at this location before! He’s a gem!

  • C Davis

Very terrible customer service in the pharmacy department. Over talks people and doesn’t listen to you at all when they are in the wrong . Sade is rude . I’m not coming back here. .

  • Zelda E

There is ALWAYS a long wait. The tellers are always slow! It's ridiculous. There can be one person in front of you and your wait will still be at least 15 minutes. Arghhh

  • Eric Akashi

Worst rite aid I’ve been too. Unfortunately closest to me. Consistently bad costumer service. Every time I go there is always a line to pay even when the store is empty.

  • Thana-Ashley Charles

The pharmacy seems to be getting worse by the day. Convenient for the area, but they need better staffing in the pharmacy, and shorter lines in the store.

  • EVANGELINE WASHINGTON-Counts

I live literally across the street. There is always a line to check out. The pharmacy ....forget about it ,even my doctor suggest I go somewhere else ...

  • Kippy P

A lot of products out of stock. Some products are locked up so you have to hunt a staff member down to open the locks so you can get your thing's.

  • Jack Kool

Very nice ppl working there. Nice sales sometimes. Great items even has a 99 cent section its not much but it has some things you need..enjoy

  • Corye D

This place is so sad. Cashiers at the front are horrible but still better than the staff working the pharmacy area. Disgusting attitudes.

  • Camille Warrican

This is the worst Rite aid ever no one answered the phone you go there and you have to wait for hrs some things better need to be done

  • Meeka M.

Terrible customer service in the pharmacy department. Over talks and doesn’t listen to you at all when they are in the wrong .
