A nice river that divides the north and south sides of Adelaide. There are some riverside areas all along the river, where you can just relax and look at the view. I’d say it is a good running/walking track. However, from where I was, the view was nice but not amazing. There is a trail where you can walk along the entire river (can be adjusted to the length you would like), and I’m sure there would be nicer views along the way. I’d recommend probably going at sunset or sunrise, and doing some research as to good lookouts, to prevent disappointment.

Obsessed with the walking routes in the heart of Adelaide. It’s so pretty and underrated. The water is always still and so many pretty scenic paths and historic bridges that let you see Adelaide’s history AND modern life. The vintage lanterns along the paths make it feel magical. thanks Adelaide

Very nice spot for early morning, afternoon to midnight walking. Highly recommend at night, the dazzling lights of Torrens Bridge keeps you coming back at night;). Few activities to do within the vicinity.

Beautiful river with loads of walking routes. Plenty of native birds to be seen, including pelicans.
