This is known as one of the best coffee places in the area and certainly in the mornings, with plenty of tradies flying in and out to get their fix, it must be good. Located centrally opposite the Yarra River, this is a great place not just for coffee but also for food and meeting up with people. There is generous seating inside as well as out the front under cover. Dogs are welcome. Food choices are plentiful with wraps, focacias, pies, sandwiches and even ice cream etc. Staff are always so helpful and really take the time to get to know their clients. You can eat in or take away. The parking is pretty good out the front as most people are coming and going pretty quickly, otherwise you can park behind the cafe at the rear. Wheelchair friendly. Stroller/pram friendly. Kids welcome with portion sizes that suit them. Highly recommend.

They have so many options to choose from. We tried the lamb and beef pie, spinach and lamb pita. Turmeric latte was very sweet, that I didn’t like. Ice latte was ok. The pistachio raspberry croissant was nice and fresh. They have ice cream as well which I didn’t try. In general a good spot with a nice walk across the road alongside the river. It was vary busy but they were relatively quick with the service.

Perfect brekky place next to Yarra in Warrandyte. Beautiful spread of brunch, drinks and coffee. The bagels are my pick.....and ofcourse the aussie classics...pies, sausage rolls, sangas, wraps and pide. Nice vibes, friendly staff...spot on location. And yes....Since 1982

We visit River View Cafe at least once a month and have always had a good experience. They get rather busy on the weekend (as does all of Warrandyte), but we’ve never had to wait too long for takeaway food & coffee.

Bought 2 Café Lattes, a Roast Vege wonton pie and an Egg & Bacon muffin. - On a positive note the Egg & Bacon muffin was good and the coffee prices were competitive.
