I have to say that we have been attending this vet hospital for About a year now. It wasn’t until our visit on October 19 that I really felt they were genuinely trying to come up with a plan for our “land hippo.” He has been suffering with a skin condition for a while now and I was pretty much at my wits end trying to get it under control. From the start of this visit I felt like we were the only patient there they did not leave us waiting like you would at a doctors office, and the technician Brian, stayed with us majority of the time this really helped put not only myself at ease but also he comforted my baby boy. I cannot say enough about how at relaxed Brian made me feel, especially with the major anxiety I was having.. He was like my human form of Xanax, he is so personable and you could completely see in his actions and his words and in the help that he gave that he wanted to make sure Smoke was taken care of. Not only is he fantastic but the vet, Dr. McKenzie, Is beyond phenomenal. She spent so much time coming up with a plan to help Smoke and also working with us on the cost since it is going to be an expensive process. I cannot say enough about the whole office. From the ladies I spoke with when we call, to care we have received. I am so thankful that I had found an office that welcomes their clients and “pet parents” with open arms. Just like a family.

If you’re looking for a good vet, just stop here. This is literally the best vet office I have ever taken my dogs to. I have never in my life written a review for any company, but I feel like I really need to explain how amazing this staff is. My dogs have been behind on their shots, and due to COVID they’ve been extra behind because I wanted to wait till it blew over so I could go in with my dog (since he has terrible anxiety.) But I finally budged and went because this doesn’t seem to be going anywhere fast. I was so nervous about them just coming to the car to get the dogs and take them in, but honestly it was the best vet office I’ve ever had. Their communication was impeccable, and don’t even get me started on their care for my pets. You can tell all of their employees genuinely care about every animal that shows up at their office. And it doesn’t end there, I left past shot records there last week, and instead of calling me to let me know to pick them up they mailed them to me so I wouldn’t even have to bother. I could go on for days about how awesome this team is. Seriously look no further, I never want to go to another vet again!

When we purchased our home on MIL we looked for a Veterinary office for our two dogs. After reading and seeing the great reviews I called to get an appointment. Got their voicemail and left a message for a call back. A couple of days went by and no call back. Called again and left a message with the same results. Ended up going with another office with great reviews but have to drive 25 min further to get service. Having an office that has someone to answer the phone, provide answers to questions, and promptly schedule a visit is important and has made the extra drive worth it. Fast forward 6 months and I even gave total bond another shot and left a message yesterday. Voicemail said they'd return call within an hour but it's been almost 2 full business days and no return call. Just hope patrons of this office are having better luck than I have had trying to become a customer. If you want a vet that is accessible and can get back in touch quickly this may not be the one for you.

The ladies in this office are absolutely AMAZING! We brought our older dog Paisley here when we lived in in the area and decided on this office because of how great their reviews were. They were so sweet and caring with our older dog, and always made her feel more comfortable and happy during her pet visits. We had to make a lot of last minute visits due to persistent UTI's and they always fit us in quickly and were very responsive to our calls. We would 100% recommend this vet's office. We've moved out of the state, but still miss this vet's office very much. They were so personable and kind to us and our pup. They went out of their way to help us with figuring out the best ways to get medicines for her, and even gave us some samples to try. They also made the moving process easier by giving us copies of our records and reassured us we could always call with questions or concerns. Dr. Kim, Christina, Hope, and Jasmine are beautiful angels!

I am the worst kind of dog mom. They cough, I panic. They act funny and I race them to the vet. However, when my dog Miya got very sick the day we were flying across the country. I had a full blown panic mode. We had to leave her at the vet in the care of the team here at Riverbend while I was stuck on an airplane. The team was so incredible, I am trouble even finding words to adequately describe how thankful I am for what they did. While we were gone, miya stayed with the vet and we got constant text messages and picture updates! When it was time for her to go home, they explained to my grandma everything that needed to be done in order to take care of her while we were away. After two full days with the Riverbend team, she’s back to her old self and I can’t imagine being able to enjoy our trip if it wasn’t for the staff. I can’t recommend them enough, going above and beyond is their standard.

The place is very nice and conveniently located. I came without appointment because I didn't know that I had to make appointment, but they allow me to visit the vet after a brief wait. The doctor is professional, and handle the care of my dog professionally. She explains everything clearly and slowly, and she handles my dog beautifully. Her assistant also handles my dog gracefully, she is able to handle my dog during its vaccination processes and deworming without stressing my dog. The vet clearly explains each procedures clearly. They also do some upselling, but they are not forcing it too much, and this is understandable. They also explain how to take the pet medication clearly. Though I am little bit disappointed that they don't have vaccination book that I could take home. Great place!

I adopted a puppy from an Animal Services location in SC. A couple of days later, my puppy had developed an ugly case of kennel cough. I hadn't started my research on veterinary clinics yet, so I did a general search on Google for the best rated clinic around: insert TotalBond! They already had raving reviews, so I went with my gut and called right away. They were able to get my puppy and I into the office to be seen that same day! Dr. Kim is a pleasure to work with, and her staff is wonderful. She's gone out of her way to help me find neurology places that can test a puppy's hearing, and really shows that she cares about your baby just as much as you do! Thank you, Dr. Kim and staff for always being just a phone call away and putting my "new mom" fears to rest! Notch and I love you all!!

I was so pleasantly surprised by the one on one visit Dr Messner gave to us! Not your ordinary veterinary visit where I wait in a small room and a technician comes in to get my pet's history and vitals, then takes my pet back into the depths of the "back room" where no owner goes. Then 1/2 hr later the vet finally appears and looks over the pet. No! My pet's doctor comes out to get me and shakes my hand , meets my 11 wk old pup and together we go the the examining room. Dr Messner listened to my pet's history and even called the Internal Medicine vet who had last seen my pet at the pet emergency to determine the best treatment going forward. I was impressed by her concern and caring as well as her professionalism and knowledge. I highly recommend coming to Dr Messner.

I had the unfortunate happen, that my 15-year-old Pomeranian passed away while I was staying at my house in Charlotte. I thought she was passed out and rushed her to the Riverbend vet. They were so amazing. They took us right away but unfortunately, she had already passed from her seizure and possibly an aneurysm. They were very sweet and helped me through this horrible loss. They wrapped her in a beautiful blanket and let me sit with her as long as I needed. Today I received a beautiful card in the mail from them. This was so sweet and I really cannot recommend this vet more! They are super sweet and obviously, my first visit was not under the greatest circumstances. Thank you, Riverbend vet team you rock! Thanks for the love and care.

Dr. McKenzie and the staff at Riverbend are wonderful. Although our sweet dog didn’t make it, Dr. McKenzie spent 30 minutes explaining his situation, different options we had, referring us to animal hospitals and didn’t charge us for our visit. The staff even called around to help us find one that was open and had a shorter wait. We got a hand written card from Dr. McKenzie and the staff today sending us condolences. If I am to get another pup, I can be sure I’ll bring them back to Riverbend. While this Total Bond location is amazing, DO NOT make the mistake of taking your pet to see Dr. Boliek at the PawCreek location. The care your sick animal gets there may end up being detrimental to their well being like it was for my dog.

This was my first visit. We’re new to the area. My dog is 12, needed annual shots, and I wanted to discuss some behavior changes I’ve noticed lately. I hate that due to Covid I could not go in and had to let my girl go on her own, something I never do. However, Jasmine the practice manager came to my car and was terrific, friendly, reassuring, and listened to my concerns. The vet tech who took my dog’s history was patient and kind and thorough. The vet, Dr. Kim called after the exam and we had a long in-depth conversation. I really appreciated her patience w me and her willingness to hear my dog’s long history and discuss my concerns in depth. I’m satisfied after our first visit. Thanks Riverbend

My husband and I recently relocated to Charlotte last August and were in need of a vet ASAP for our two dogs, one of which has ongoing medical issues that must be monitored. At the same time, I was pregnant with my first child and trying to get everyone up to date on check ups etc. Dr. Langholz and the staff are amazing here. Everyone is super nice and Dr. Langholz always takes the time to explain any issues with my pups. She is super responsive and always willing to help as are Hope, Christina, and the others. I'm so glad this was the Vet that I picked when we moved and couldn't be happier with their expertise, service, and general willingness to help!

First time bringing my pet "Coco," to Riverbend Veterinary Pet Care ❤. I LOVED THE INTEGRITY FROM THE ENTIRE STAFF! Jasmine stole my heart She was so helpful and so kind. Dr. Kym was extremely professional and she explain details of the issues that was going on with my pet. I loved how concerned she was with my pet heath problems. I also spoke to another staff member but I forgot her name. However, the entire staff was ❤ loving I will tell my relatives, friends and other people about Riverbend Veterinary. If I could give them a million stars I would. Great facility!!!

I would just like to start off by saying I am very appreciative from this staff and vet. Our little boy Gino passed Saturday 8-20-2022 and as this happened, we rushed him to the nearest vet and we happened to stop here. My distraught wife rushed him in begging for help and without hesitation they took him from her arms and tried to save him. We lost a child that day...but this place will forever be in our hearts. I can't even put in words how caring they are. Thank you so much for the comfort that you all have given to our family and you will always be in our hearts.

If I could give a ZERO, I would. We moved our two dogs to this vet in order to fulfill heartworm medications. However, they will not provide these meds without us paying their office visit fees every year. This is a completely preventative treatment and there is no need to see the animal, yet they want to get “their piece of the pie” and charge the owners for optional annual checkups. What’s worse, is the examine fees are overpriced and not market competitive. Worst experience with a VET I’ve ever had. AVOID these locations and take your pets elsewhere.

We were so happy with everything from the appointment making to the check out! Adrienne and Kristen were so helpful and made check in so smooth and easy. The tech was awesome with patience and comforting words. Dr. Spangler was very knowledgeable, helpful, and understanding. Our sweet puppy needed stitches and everyone at the animal hospital made sure we were comforted, told about payment and plans before doing so, and took care of our girl! Thank you Total Bond, Paw Creek! As a first time patient, we will be back!

This vet clinic is seriously the greatest. We’ve been bringing our cat to them for 2 years (since right before the moved locations) and just had our first appointment with our newly adopted dog. Our cat has bad allergies so we’re not strangers there, and every single interaction we have with each individual there is gold status. They work so hard, especially with the accommodations they’ve had to make with COVID. I’m so impressed with how the operate their business and customer service. Can’t speak highly enough!

I am so happy with my choice to go with Riverbend Veterinary Hospital! This was my first time getting a fur-baby and they have been nothing but informational, sweet, and love my puppy as much as I do! They also answer all my thousands of questions and are super responsive to emails and calls! Also, want to shout-out Sarah who answers the phone so kindly and assists me in whatever I need! I have a rescue 3 yr old Boston Terrier-Chichuahua mix. She is scared of her own shadow. It took about a month for her to come around me. So i decided.it was time for her to meet her doctor. We were warmly greeted and the patient care they gave was amazing. They even gave me a sample of her meds to see if she tolerates it. How awesomeI is that. 3 days after her visit the doc called to see how she was doing. I highly recommed Total Bond Mt. Holly Huntersville Rd. You will not reqret it. I promise!

They're professional at taking your money and getting you scared. Telling you all the bad things that can happen to your pet scaring you in spending more money because you of the love for your pet(s). They will do extra examination(s) that aren't required. They'll ask you personal questions, so as to find your vulnerability and charge you accordingly. Therefore I would advise if you are a pet lover this is not a place to take them. This place is just a wrench on your heart to take money.

We would never take our dogs anywhere else. The Mountain Island location is very small and intimate, make the vet experience much more personable. Dr. Messner is very attentive and spends time getting to know our puppies rather than simply treating them. The ladies in this office genuinely care about our dogs and have loved watching them grow. We have had both of our dogs spayed at the Paw Creek location and have not had one issue. Thank you Total Bond for taking care of our fur babies!

I can’t in good faith recommend. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They’ll even allow you to schedule same day appointments. However the prices are terrible. My visit for an ear examination was $219 dollars. The ear cleaning fee was $30 dollars and it didn’t last longer than a minute. Do you know what the ear cleaning fee is at Stand For Animals veterinary clinic? $5 dollars. If you enjoy frivolously spending money, go here. Otherwise, save yourself the regret.

The office is small, but very clean. Christina, Hope, and Dr. Cody took excellent care of my Golden Retriever. Hobbes was a little nervous of the exam, but they were patient, kind, and delivered all the treats! They took good care of me too. Dr Cody and Christina took the time to explain the procedure, medication, and invoice to me. I appreciate how much they care for my pup and I would definitely take Hobbes there again - hopefully for well-puppy visits only!

Great experience all around for our kitten's first vet visit! Great, friendly reception over the phone and upon arrival. Super duper quick turnaround! Don't even leave the parking lot, Midna was in and out in a flash. Checkup, vaccines, and consultation couldn't have taken more than 30 minutes. Price was competitive from what I could tell in my research beforehand. We'll be coming back in a few weeks for a follow-up. Look no further, this is the one!

Everyone is always so helpful and kind. They do their best to keep both animal and owner at ease. Their goal is to make each animal comfortable during their exams. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Dr. Kim and Dr. Jodie. Both are fabulous. Very patient and informative. Always open to questions and concerns. Ms. Madison, one of the assistants, is also wonderful! Made my fur baby feel very comfortable and welcomed. Highly recommended vet office!

Always happy with this vet’s office for my dogs! The staff, techs, and vets are all wonderful. The techs and both Dr. Kim and Dr. McKenzie are patient if my dogs are nervous, provide clear exam results and answers to questions, and are always willing to answer questions as well. Even when the staff are busy, they make sure to let you know and will give you a call back to answer questions over the phone or schedule appointments when necessary.

I have been going to Total Bond at Mountain Island Lake for over 10 years and I always had great experiences. They take their time and accommodate difficult dogs. Dr. Messner was absolutely great in handling the situation with my fear aggressive dog. Unfortunately she relocated to an other location, but Dr. Langholz has done a great job taking over and I am very pleased with the treatment my dogs and I receive. I would highly recommend them!

I called one morning with a question about my cat's symptoms, luckily there was an opening and they saw her that same day as a new patient. They were genuinely kind, and extremely knowledgeable; you could tell everyone there was passionate about caring for animals. They really do treat you like family, and their prices are the most affordable I've ever seen in Mecklenburg County. I'll definitely be returning when we need care in the future!

DR.KIM & Nereida always take such great care of our cat's needs, even our deaf cat is no challenge for them. 12/14/18 wanted to update review, Still seeing Mt. Island office and they continue to give the best service for our fur babies. Just took my deaf cat for eye infection, poor baby. DR.Kim treated Sofie's eye and Jasmine gave her nails a clipping, and Sofie is on road to recovery. Thank you for the concern you showed. Great folks.

I accidentally arrived an hour early for my appt and they were so wonderful to start the process of our visit anyway. The vet saw both my pups at the same time but gave them both the attention that they needed. My dogs got a full service with vaccines and a microchip for the puppy, and a nail trim and booster for my dog. Everyone there seemed to really enjoy being there and they took great care of us. I definitely recommend them!

One of our cats lost a canine and Riverbend was amazing. She’s very nervous so they worked with us to get a dental exam and surgery the same day. They did an amazing job and found other teeth that had issues as well. They were so caring throughout the whole process and were genuinely worried about her well being. Our cat has gotten so much pep back in her step since she is feeling better and we couldn’t be happier with our vet!

I called on a Monday morning looking to get our kitten in for his first exam. They were able to get him in right away (nearly impossible to do with most vets not even accepting new patients right now). On top of being above and beyond friendly (truly, everyone I spoke to that day was an absolute pleasure to speak with), the vet even made a point to come out and talk to each client directly (curbside services currently).

My experience with Totalbond was excellent! The staff was pleasant, informative and helpful. I couldn't be more pleased with Dr. Langholtz's treatment and expertise. She was both gentle and thorough with her examination of my cat, Chase, who was anxious and in pain. She took the time to reassure him and calm him down during her exam. Riverbend took care of my dog from the moment we adopted her until her final moments. They were kind and patient with her even though she had anxiety at vet appointments. Dr. Kim saved my 13-year-old Jack Russell from a venomous snake bite! They dropped everything to help her and they observed her the entire next day only charging me for the medication. They kept me updated by sending pictures with her status and they also followed up by calling to check in on her when I was able to bring her home. They went above and beyond for Ms. Bella and I am forever grateful!

It was time to make a change from my other vet, and I'm really happy with my choice at Riverbend, my dog was skiddish at first but warmed right up shortly after. The staff was very attentive, professional and very patient. I really like that the doctor took time to help me with an affordable plan of care for my dogs ear infection. Baybeeeee...nothing, I MEAN NOTHING would ever get me to change vets. Everyone there is so amazing and you can tell they truly love what they do. It's easy to get appointments and every visit I leave educated. They treat you in a way that makes you feel like you aren't just another patient but that you and your pet matters to them. We just moved to the area and took our dogs in for their annual check ups. The staff were absolutely great, friendly to my dogs and to me. They even worked extra hard to calm down my nervous dog that is scared of all new people. I feel like they spent lots of time with my dogs and they gave them a very thorough checks up. The clinic itself is very clean and nice.

The pets were immediately comfortable upon entering, which having separate Feline and Canine entrances really helps with. Everyone that we met was professional, helpful, friendly, and gave off the impression that they enjoyed meeting our animals. We're very happy that Tiger (and Sky, our other little one) will be coming to Riverbend for our family's pets' needs.

It being my first time there, it was a great experience. The staff was so sweet and welcoming. Dr. Kim was very nice and informative. I actually recommended them to my family, who plan on switching over. I appreciate them taking their time and being gentle with my pup. Giving her time to warm up to them and not rushing the process. The front office staff was courteous and quick while the veterinarian, Dr. Kim, was kind and showed care and compassion towards him. They squeezed my best friend Buddy into their schedule 30 minutes after I called. He’s had pneumonia 2 times the last few years and I was terrified he was developing it again. They knew if he was that it was important to get him treatment asap. He’s been going here since he was a puppy. They’ve always taken great care of him. Highly recommend

They worked very well with my very anxious dog. I asked to have an appointment time with no other dogs around. The had no problem with it. They are fear free and they do really well reading your pet. They all have a genuine concern and love for animals. They give you pricing up front and you are able to customize what you can afford that day.

Everyone in this office is very friendly and professional. It's obvious that they care about the well-being of your pet. Today was my first visit to Riverbend Vet with my two rat babies. It was a wonderful experience and all the staff were so friendly. Even though I was curbside, they kept me informed during the visit. Today Jade our cat had her semi annual check up with Dr Kim and Hope. It is so stress free at Total Bond Mountain Island. Jade is lovingly talked to and cared for. We have none of the anxiety and fear in taking her to the vet any longer. We are so fortunate to have this great clinic!

Love them. The staff and the vets are so nice and friendly. We have complete confidence in them. I've never felt they were doing anything unnecessary. Instead, we feel everything they do is to make sure our dog is the healthiest she can be. Highly recommend them.

Best vet ever. Not only were they super sweet to and patient with my rescue dog, but they also continued to treat him after he bit one of their technicians! They truly love the animals that they treat and understand the complexity of their jobs! Highly recommend.

If you are picky about the veterinarian for you animals, then I recommend TotalBond Veterinary clinic at Paw Creek . I found through checking them out on the web that they have 4 other locations and the ratings were great on all of them.

The people there are very friendly. They love the animals as if was their own. They explain in detail when going do something or if have questions. They respond quickly to their emails and phone calls. Great place to take your animals.

We took our dog in for an ear issue and they were so amazing! They did a full exam and treatedhis ear. This was our first visit and becuase we were so impressed with how they were with our baby we have made them out vet.

Dr. Schott's was on time with the appointment and gave Shadrach a thorough exam. She patiently answered all my questions and I left with a diagnosis and proper medications to treat his ear infection.
