"It's alright"
"I go in this store every so often"
"I had to buy snow salt and brought an old dolly from home - turned out it had flat tires and couldn't load a thing! As I was giving up the store staff moved quickly and without hesitation brought the air pump from back and got my dolly working, and helped me load heavy bags of salt"
"Great neighbourhood hardware store that carries items that make it a good to place! I don't live in the area but know that I will find items no one else carries in my neighbourhood store"
"Don't go here is you have a disability the owners know about AODA Accessibility for Ontarins with Disabilities Act law but refuse to follow it"
It's alright. On occasion the staff can be dismissive of questions, will not answer one, will just tell you it's not going to work. Legit won't answer any questions no matter how I frame them. Very frustrating, I leave empty-handed, and I want to stay gone. Answer questions instead of just talking at me. It's your job, dude.
I go in this store every so often. It's a good sized, manageable store(compared to gigantic big box hardware stores), and has great HELPFUL staff!!! I always find what I'm looking for & usually quickly. They will also order items for you if they don't have what you're looking for. Support local business, I do. …
I had to buy snow salt and brought an old dolly from home - turned out it had flat tires and couldn't load a thing! As I was giving up the store staff moved quickly and without hesitation brought the air pump from back and got my dolly working, and helped me load heavy bags of salt. The guys were genuinely nice.
Great neighbourhood hardware store that carries items that make it a good to place! I don't live in the area but know that I will find items no one else carries in my neighbourhood store. Finally, the staff knows the merchandise and where it is located and are super friendly and knowledgeable!
Don't go here is you have a disability the owners know about AODA Accessibility for Ontarins with Disabilities Act law but refuse to follow it. As a person with a invisible disability went In and asked for accessible information and the owner became very disrespectful and very ableistic.
We like going here for our house repair and renovation needs. Yard, gardening, electrical, plumbing, paint, you name it, they have it. It is very convenient to have in the neighborhood. The staff are very helpful as well. We love supporting local Cabbagetown businesses.
Prompt informative friendly service nice a hardware store that is a chain still has the mom and pop feel to it. If they don’t have in stock what you need they will have it brought in promptly from the warehouse. I like this place a lot because of the great service.
The clerks were unhelpful and plain rude, I ask by phone if the still do wood cuts in their shop, Wich they said if I buy the wood there will be fine, but when I ask, they simply said the shop is closed. The cashier was very nice she gets the star.
I’ve never witnessed a store employee show so much racism towards English second-language customers before. One of the men working there yelled at two separate East Asian customers simply for not understanding him. He asked one woman if she
Royal Home Hardware is a very handy (for me!) and well-stocked local /neighbourhood store with most of what you'd need for all but the most intensive building projects. I've used this store for 14 years and they've served me well. The staff
If I could give no stars I would. This store is impossible to reach by email or phone and Home Hardware head office tells me they would get the same response if they tried to reach them. What? Why do you have a franchisee that you can't get
We had a great experience while trying to find the right fan. They let us try the ones that weren’t on display before we bought one, and were really good about listening to our needs and helping us find the perfect product for us. They also
Located in the heart of Toronto's Cabbagetown neighbourhood, this hardware store is a local landmark. The staff are helpful and LGBT friendly. The store provides a good selection of staples and supplies that are very affordable with its low
Completly understaffed most of the time . I waited 43 mins to get one single key cut there as by the looks of it they only had the one employee on the floor . When asking him who I can get to get a key cut he rudely said “ can’t you see I’m
Completely horrible visit. The guy working was in a winter coat and unidentifiable as an employee. First he walked past me, and walked right into product, kicking it over. Then he was loudly arguing with another customer. When he came back
This is the worst home hardware in the city, possibly the world. It is never open, closes ridiculously early. The corner store beside it is more reliable then this hardware store. Furthermore, they never have anything in stock. If you have
Every time I visit this store I feel something is wrong with them but couldn't identify - thought may be lack of customer service skill. This time I ordered something online and my son went to pick it up and he made the same comment. Then
Came to the store to buy some nails- they told me that it cost 12CAD per pound, the cashier told me it weighed half pound so I need to pay 6CAD - it was strange because I had only 10 nails inside- when I got back home I weighed it and it
What can I say? We're trying to support business in the neighborhood the people at this particular home hardware make it impossible to support them! The lack of knowledge and customer service is simply a fatal combo to this business like
The store has accommodated to the quarantine and offer curb side pickup. I phoned in as requested and asked for “L bracket shelving” the man answered routinely asked “what size” and normally being able to look around and see for myself I
Super rude staff of late. They have hardly been accommodating since the closure to in store shopping. Calling the phone line often ends up with someone that is less than enthusiastic about actually finding what you are after, even if you
Had the sweetest interaction I've had in a long time here! I needed a shovel to bury a recently deceased baby critter that I had been attempting to take care of and a young associate was so kind and helpful in which one I would have the
One day you may find someone pleasant enough. More often than not you get rude, condescending staff who treat you as if they are doing you a huge favor by allowing you in their store to spend your hard earned money. I go into the store
Do not shop here. I thought I was giving a break to a hardware store by shopping here instead of a large store like Canadian Tire. Unfortunately, they do not have a return policy like Canadian Tire. I bought a pair of hair shears that
Good place for home hardware. I had been here before but at that time I did not get what I was looking for. During the pre-COVID era, I had gone there for curtain-rod holder. One of my friends had recommended this place but I was very
Very helpful - I needed a repair on a wooden lid. It required a new finial.and two washers. The red shirted sales associate selected the best option, installed them, and had me on my way in less than six minutes. And, it was all under
The staff was very helpful I was looking for toilet parts and a new faucet for a friend's place the guy helping me was very informative and helpful. Got exactly what I was looking for and left feeling good about my purchase experience.
They don't follow the hours they post on Google! In my experiences with this Home Hardware, they always close early. So frustrating when you go out of your way to buy something there, but find the doors locked when they shouldn't be!!
Awful service. Stuff super unhappy all the time. Called for curb side picks up at 3.56 PM. Had to repeat myself 3 times. Store was closing at 4 PM. Owner didn’t even tell me that. I got there at 4.05 PM. They told me store is closed.
Never have to hunt down helpful and knowledgeable staffers here as they are always nearby. Despite being a small/medium-sized store, they’ve done an excellent job organizing and stocking inventory with a wide selection of items.
Probably the worst home hardware I have ever dealt with. Very unhelpful and unwilling to assist me with finding a thermostat that will work for a four pipe fan coil with three speed fan. This store gives Home Hardware a bad name
Stock situation has improved, most of the staff very friendly and helpful. You cant buy lumber here, it's a small location, they they do have a few hobby boards in a pinch, but they've got general household upkeep well covered.
The staff are all really great, but they havent found a way through some serious supply chain issues. I hope that resolves because the location is convenient and the staff are great but I often can't find or order what I need.
This is my favourite hardware store to go to because at worst their service is above average and at best it is way beyond my expectations. They have always been extremely honest with me about what I need and what I
Local home hardware. Why would I drive to big box store to save a few buck and use $15 worth of gas to get there. Staff help you find everything. Not a large selection but good enough …
Manager John turned my disappointment into gratefulness that he is there. He apologized for the inconvenience and we got the large size cart. Thank you John.
Not the friendliest. Overpriced and limited stock they are forcing people to order online as they just stopped caring and carrying.
Making an effort to avoid our local hardware store --- This store is our local hardware store and when we need something around the
A rare jewel in a downtown location with friendly personal service to meet almost every need around your home.
I go to this store at least twice a week, they greet you well, guide you well and have an acceptable inventory
Abolutely horribly service. I called the store and asked for a specific item number 4490-226, and the person
The hardware is close to my home and has all the items that I am looking for. Great customer service too.
Really big, great selection! Please note they currently seem to close at 5 on Sundays, not 6.
Love this place. Staff is always so friendly and inviting. Highly recommend shopping there.
For a neighbourhood hardware store it had lots of items, friendly staff and good prices.
Showed up during posted hours to find them closed. Thanks for wasting my time!
Although it is well stocked, be careful while checking out for over charging.
Great selection of useful things for the home
